WWE SmackDown LIVE: February 13, 2018 in Bakersfield, California

His return to SmackDown LIVE shook the WWE Universe, and Chris Jericho has his sights firmly set on AJ Styles and the WWE Championship. Picking up his return victory last week over Randy Orton, Y2J once again reminded The Phenomenal One that they would only collide on his terms. However, tonight they both have the opportunity to be in the ring, face-to-face as Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel returns! And his special guest? AJ Styles.

Naomi def. Ruby Riott via disqualification

Claiming her spot as number one contender last week with a victory over Becky Lynch, Ruby Riott looked to continue her momentum by defeating another former Women's Champion, Naomi. But of course, with the rest of The Riott Squad at ringside, it was never going to be as straight forward as Naomi may have hoped, and when Ruby Riott looked to be reeling from Naomi's offence, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan stepped in to save their leader and take down the former SmackDown Women's Champion with a brutal assault, forcing the referee to throw the match out.

As The Riott Squad beat down on Naomi with their pack mentality, they were soon stopped by the arrival of Becky Lynch and the reigning SmackDown Women's Champion, Charlotte Flair. Upon disposing of the devious trio from the ring, Charlotte grabbed a microphone and issued an impromptu challenge for a Six-Woman Tag Team Match right there and then. After a few moments of hesitation, The Riott Squad returned to ringside and we had ourselves a tag team bout.

SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch & Naomi def. The Riott Squad

The chaos subsided and an official match was set with three women on either side of the ring. However, it wasn't in the favour of The Riott Squad who found themselves on the receiving end of a loss when Charlotte Flair was able to isolate Liv Morgan and lock in the Figure-Eight Leglock while Becky Lynch and Naomi kept Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan at bay.

The Queen raised her title above her head, standing side-by-side with Becky Lynch and Naomi as The Riott Squad retreated. Ruby Riott may have her SmackDown Women's Championship Match set, but she won't be able to rely on the numbers game when The Irish Lasskicker and Naomi have the back of the reigning Champion.

Tye Dillinger def. Baron Corbin

Moments before this scheduled match, The Lone Wolf made a statement that he was going to start taking what he felt he deserved, and expressed his fury with being overlooked and misused on SmackDown LIVE, calling Shane McMahon "blind to true talent". Looking to live up to his words, Baron Corbin set into battle with The Perfect 10, and he did indeed appear to be more dominant than ever, but that was only until a minor mishap that saw Corbin miss a running clothesline in the corner landed him in a precarious situation, allowing Dillinger to roll up the former United States Champion and score an upset victory, rendering Corbin's pre-match speech rather invalid.

The rage was true as The Lone Wolf sprung to his feet and rammed the referee into the corner, Tye Dillinger quickly fleeing to the stage with a grin on his face and the WWE Universe chanting "Ten!" all the way. Embarrassed and humiliated, Corbin stomped his way around the ring as Tom Phillips explained that Baron Corbin had just been made to look like a fool in front of the entire world.

Shane McMahon's decisions have always been in the spotlight, especially with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. And this week was no different as the best friends burst into the office of the Commissioner - once again sporting their #JusticeForBryan merchandise - and started hurling abuse at the figurehead of SmackDown LIVE. Questioning his decision to bring back Chris Jericho and give him the spotlight, they demanded their own opportunities to get a rematch for the WWE Championship, claiming that if it wasn't for Shane, they would be the co-WWE Champions right now. The Commissioner was having none of it, and reminded "Kami" that they lost their opportunity and they would have to earn the right to have another, and as of right now, they haven't.

But it just so happened that Shane wanted to see the pair anyway, to reveal to them their individual matches on tonight's edition of SmackDown LIVE, being sure to reinforce the fact that both of them would be banned from ringside in the other's match. Kevin Owens will go one-on-one with the United States Champion, Bobby Roode, while Sami Zayn will collide with The Viper, Randy Orton - and that one is right now! Owens and Zayn were furious, but that's what you get when you cross the boss.

Randy Orton def. Sami Zayn

Things have gone from bad to worse for the duo of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, and it just keeps getting more difficult as Shane McMahon is finally teaching them a lesson with Daniel Bryan suspended and unable to protect them. First up, Sami Zayn was thrust into a match with Randy Orton, and his buddy Kevin Owens was banned from ringside. He admittedly put up a valiant effort against The Viper, but when an RKO comes from outta nowhere, there's nobody that can withstand it, and Zayn fell victim to exactly that, giving Orton a victory on SmackDown LIVE.

The Viper got to his feet and celebrated with the WWE Universe as Sami Zayn held his head, leaning on the ring apron. Zayn didn't fare very well in his individual challenge set by the Commissioner, but can The Prizefighter, Kevin Owens do any better against his chosen opponent, the United States Champion, Bobby Roode?

Anybody for pancakes? The New Day were enjoying their own pancake party backstage when they were rudely interrupted by Rusev and Aiden English, much like two weeks ago. Reluctantly remembering their loss to the former Tag Team Champions last week, Rusev claimed that they had the numbers advantage, but they've evened the odds now with another member who hates The New Day as much as they do. Enter Mojo Rawley. The dangerous competitor emerged to inform the dancing trio that they were an embarrassment to SmackDown LIVE, and he learned first-hand that dancing around pandering to the idiots in the WWE Universe gets you nowhere, and you have to take what you can get. Rusev once again stepped forward and challenged The New Day to a Six-Man Tag Team Match later on in the night, and Xavier Woods stood forward to respond.

The trombone-wielding superstar informed Rusev that they might have a slight problem with that, turning back to Big E who was on the verge of vomiting, the WWE Universe laughing at the display. Woods explained that Big E had eaten too many pancakes and was feeling worse for ware, so if Rusev wanted a match, they'd have to find a new partner for the match. The Bulgarian Brute was not impressed, but told them that they had until the end of the night to find a new partner, or they will crush whoever does step in the ring to face them. After the trio left, Xavier and Kingston tended to their companion with back rubs as he hunched over in a pancake-fuelled heave.

The Bludgeon Brothers def. Local Competitors

Can anybody stop these menacing monsters? Tonight's competitors could not, and suffered the same fate as all those before them, being bludgeoned (pun intended) by Harper and Rowan. The Bludgeon Brothers once again appeared to be unstoppable as they ran through the local talent, finishing them off with an assisted full nelson powerbomb, followed by a devastating double crucifix bomb to the other. With one hand on the chest of the local star, Harper claimed the victory for him and Rowan.

The locker room were put on notice last week when the pair issued a warning to anyone in the tag team division on SmackDown LIVE, and this was their physical display to back up their threat. The blue brand's teams will certainly be watching, but the question is, which one of them can even step up to take down these monstrous men?

Moments after witnessing The Bludgeon Brothers issue that physical statement to the tag team division, The Usos arrived on the scene to a standing ovation from the WWE Universe. Jimmy and Jey quickly made their intentions clear, speaking about their upcoming rematch with Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin at WWE Fastlane, their chance to regain their SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Running down their history as a team, The Usos listed the opponents they've defeated and how they've conquered the entire division over the years through hard work and support. They claimed to have the new Champions on "lockdown" and promised to take back what belonged to them in four weeks. Of course, Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin didn't take too kindly to these bold claims.

The SmackDown Tag Team Champions responded by appearing on the stage and laughing in the faces of The Usos, calling them "irrelevant" and "hasbeens". Chad Gable claimed that he and Benjamin were the future of the tag team division, and that The Usos time had passed. "You lost to us fair and square and now you're crying for your rematch" declared Gable, informing The Usos that they won't be regaining anything at Fastlane, because he and Shelton Benjamin will be the SmackDown Tag Team Champions for years to come. But their arrogance was quickly shot down when Jimmy and Jey laid out a bold challenge, expressing their desire to make their title match at the pay-per-view a No Disqualifications Match.

The faces of Gable and Benjamin dropped as the WWE Universe erupted, and just as Benjamin was about to respond, Shane McMahon made his way out onto the stage to confront the reigning Champions. The Commissioner wasted no time acknowledging The Usos challenge as a fantastic idea, and another chance to set Daniel Bryan's decision right, officially declaring that Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin will indeed defend their SmackDown Tag Team Championships against The Usos at WWE Fastlane - in a No Disqualifications Match!

Kevin Owens def. United States Champion Bobby Roode

Hoping to do better than his best friend, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens looked to knock off the United States Champion in his hand-picked bout by Shane McMahon. The Glorious One obviously had the WWE Universe behind him, but even their support was not enough to gain him the victory here, although it wasn't without a little help from The Modern Day Maharajah. Jinder Mahal arrived at ringside alongside Sunil Singh and stole the United States Championship from ringside, laying it over his shoulder and showing it off to the WWE Universe at ringside. This drew the attention of Bobby Roode who shouted over the ropes at Mahal to get his hands off his title, but the distraction meant that Kevin Owens could capitalise and hit a Pop-up Powerbomb to defeat The Glorious One and conquer his obstacle set by the Commissioner.

Owens quickly fled ringside as Jinder Mahal entered the ring and stood over Bobby Roode holding the United States Championship. He handed the title to Sunil Singh and lifted his rival to his feet before dropping him right back down to the canvas with the Khallas. Mahal laid the United States Championship across Roode's chest in a symbolic act and left the ring, leaving Roode laying on the canvas looking much less than glorious.

It's time for The Fashion Files! Breezango and The Ascension stood looking at their board which happened to feature an image of The Bludgeon Brothers. Breeze explained that they had been on hiatus while they tried to come up with a way to conquer Harper and Rowan, and after watching them closely over the last few weeks, they've come up with an idea. We're not too sure on Breeze's grand plan, but he suggested that they trade partners and try to mix it up in hopes of taking down the monstrous duo. So next week, Fandango suggested that Tyler Breeze and Viktor take on The Bludgeon Brothers, and then if they can't get the job done, he and Konnor will tackle the task. Breeze and Viktor looked at each other before questioning why they had to go first. "Because I came up with the idea" exclaimed Fandango. "I came up with the idea!" shouted Tyler Breeze. The two Breezango allies began bickering as The Ascension tried to separate them. Konnor explained that they all had to be on the same page, and that it was time to give these monsters a lesson - in fashion!

Shinsuke Nakamura & The New Day def. Rusev, Aiden English & Mojo Rawley

The Bulgarian Brute might have made the challenge, but he probably didn't expect The New Day to choice the 2018 Men's Royal Rumble winner as their partner for the night. His challenge may have backfired as The Rockstar joined forces with the ecstatic New Day and took the fight to Rusev and his cohorts. With the help of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods who took out Rusev and Mojo Rawley with a pair of suicide dives, Shinsuke Nakamura finished off the job by delivering a jaw-jacking Kinshasa to Aiden English, securing the victory for him and his team.

The man with the ticket to WrestleMania got the WWE Universe going with The New Day dancing behind him. Even Big E stepped into the ring to dance, but quickly stopped when he hunched over with more stomach cramps. Rusev, Aiden English and Mojo Rawley left in disappointment as the celebration continued in the ring. The King of Strong Style pointed to the WrestleMania sign, The New Day pointing with him in respect to The Rockstar. And the question was once again asked - who will Shinsuke Nakamura be facing at WrestleMania?

It was only going to be a matter of time before The Highlight Reel followed Chris Jericho back to SmackDown LIVE, and here it was. The former World Champion arrived to a mostly negative crowd, plenty of AJ Styles fans in attendance. But the reaction has never affected Y2J and he began to speak in front of his brand-new JeriTron and a colourful set. Kicking things off, Jericho admitted that it felt good to be back, but it had nothing to do with the "jackasses" in the WWE Universe. He saw opportunity to come back and reclaim the WWE Championship and capitalise on his recent overseas popularity and take the title back with him. That led him into the introduction of his guest, which was none other than the WWE Champion himself, AJ Styles.

The Phenomenal One entered the ring with a stern expression, not taking his eyes off the man who attacked him two weeks ago. "So, how does it feel knowing that soon, your WWE Championship dreams will come crumbling down?" asked Y2J, to boos from the crowd in attendance, only for AJ Styles to remain silent and glare at his rival. Y2J mocked his silence, assuming Styles was feeling starstruck in his presence, and claimed that tonight's edition of The Highlight Reel is all about the life and career of AJ Styles. We were shown a video package that highlighted most of AJ's career on the independent scene, leading up to his big WWE debut in 2016. But the montage took a turn when it showcased AJ Styles' big defeat at the hands of Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 32 .

Once the showcase had finished, Jericho laughed and applauded the footage, Styles looking on with anger in his eyes. Chris Jericho was about to continue his speech when Styles snatched the microphone from his hand and shouted. "If you want a shot at this, Chris, then come and get it! I'm not playing your games!" he bellowed, his face filling with rage. The Phenomenal One didn't mince his words as he reminded Jericho of his own success in Japan, and how he scratched and clawed his way to the WWE, and how it has paid off as he holds the WWE Championship. "And I'll be damned if I let you come back and take that away from me" he declared, leaving Jericho slightly speechless. But of course, Y2J simply laughed and told AJ Styles that it would be "all in good time", and that he would only be ready on his terms.

The self-proclaimed Best in the World dropped his microphone and strutted past AJ with a grin, leaving the WWE Champion stood in the center of the ring. But as soon as Styles looked around the crowd and took his eye off Y2J, Jericho struck! The sinister Jericho attacked the WWE Champion from behind and sent him crashing to the floor. The Phenomenal One tried to quickly get back to his feet, but he was grabbed by the former World Champion and shockingly driven head-first through the JeriTron! Glass flew everywhere as Styles fell to the canvas in a heap, Jericho standing over him with intensity in his eyes. He picked up the microphone from earlier and made something very clear to everyone watching - "I'll see you at Fastlane, junior". Y2J threw the microphone at AJ on the canvas and left with a sadistically smug grin on his face. Officials and medical personnel arrived on the scene and tended to the fallen WWE Champion who laid in a pile of glass.

Chris Jericho's mean-streak continues at the expense of AJ Styles, and his sights are firmly set on the WWE Championship at Fastlane. Will Y2J be able to recapture the WWE Championship and return to his throne as The King of the World?

WWE 205 Live: February 13, 2018 in Bakersfield, California

The competition in the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament, created by new General Manager Drake Maverick, has heated up. Last week saw both Gentleman Jack Gallagher and Mark Andrews advance to the second round. Tonight, four more competitors look to advance to the second round and find themselves one step closer to a WrestleMania match to determine the new Cruiserweight Champion.

Tony Nese def. Drew Gulak

The train left the station four weeks ago and it was now time for Tony Nese and Drew Gulak to become the conductors of their own careers. The first step: advancing to the second round of the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament. Gulak and Nese jockeyed for position, with Nese putting a proverbial nail to their friendship by flying around the ring. While Gulak tried to ignite his old submission expertise, it wasn’t enough against The Premier Athlete, who had nine reasons to be victorious tonight - with one of them being his devastating 450° splash!

Dasha Fuentes entered the ring afterwards looking to get a word from The Premier Athlete. Nese was about to speak, but Gulak spun him around and the two friends exchanged words. Gulak told Nese that he violated the No Fly Zone rule, but Nese countered by saying he needed to win. After a bit more words, Gulak looked like he was ready to attack, but then he hugged Nese! Gulak wished his friend well in the tournament - with one caveat, he’d get the first opportunity when Nese wins the entire thing!

205 Live put the spotlight on Roderick Strong, who will be making his Cruiserweight debut next week! A seasoned veteran of sports-entertainment, Strong traveled around the world for decades plying his craft, becoming an international star in the process. Armed with an encyclopedic knowledge of devastating backbreakers, he’s left a pile of broken men in his wake wherever he goes.

Strong is no stranger to some of WWE’s biggest Superstars. Before his arrival in NXT in 2016, he waged war against the likes of AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura, Samoa Joe, Sami Zayn and more. The Messiah of the Backbreaker debuted in NXT in October 2016, joining forces with longtime friend and partner Austin Aries to enter the second Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Since then, Strong has paved a path of success in singles competition while embracing his new life journey as a father. As a result, Strong is even more determined to reach the top of 205 Live and become the next WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

The spotlight was on Raul Mendoza, who will make his 205 Live debut next week against Gran Metalik in a first round matchup in the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament. Raul Mendoza has traveled the world to become the best wrestler he can be. Born in Veracruz, Mexico, Mendoza began competing in his home country in 2005 after training under luchadors like El Gran Apache and Ricky Marvin. Taking on the name Jinzo, he adopted a high-flying, hard-hitting style, mixing breathtaking dives with devastating kicks.

Mendoza turned heads while competing for promotions like AAA, Perros Del Mal and Japan’s Pro Wrestling NOAH. He’ll look to do the same when he arrives on 205 Live!

Kalisto def. TJP

This battle between former WWE Cruiserweight Champions acted as a potential launching pad for career resurgences for both men. TJP has recently been on a losing slump while Kalisto looked at the tournament as an opportunity to prove that he is the best cruiserweight competitor on 205 Live. From the opening bell, both men employed their unique strategies to trade the upperhand: a flashy high-flying showcase from The Lucha Dragon, and a slow methodical pace from The Fil-Am Flash who worked the leg of the masked marvel. In the end, however, TJP’s recent woes continued when Kalisto rolled out of a Kneebar attempt only to connect with the Salida del Sol to advance to the second round.

Following the contest, Dasha Fuentes got a word with The King of Flight. Kalisto raved about his victory tonight but claimed that he’s not going to sit back and let his future opponents overestimate him in the tournament. Kalisto promised the deliver on some good lucha things on his quest to become a two-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

WWE: NXT (February 14, 2018)

WWE NXT: February 14, 2018 in Atlanta, Georgia

NXT started rather abruptly when all four members of SAnitY barged into NXT General Manager William Regal’s office demanding a chance for revenge against The Undisputed ERA for their cheap championship retention last week against Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe. Regal tried to get cooler heads to prevail, but the deranged foursome would have none if it. With no other course of action to resolve SAnitY’s appetite for Undisputed destruction, William Regal made an impromptu main event for the night: SAnitY vs. The Undisputed ERA in a six-man Tornado Tag Match!

WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne def. Roderick Strong

After being announced for next week’s edition of 205 Live - where he’ll compete against Hideo Itami in a Cruiserweight Championship Tournament First Round match - Roderick Strong looked to boost his momentum by capturing the WWE UK Championship from the hands of The Bruiserweight. Dunne, however, wasn’t going to make that task easy.

The Messiah of the Backbreaker traded momentum with the Champion, but Dunne managed to nearly get the win with a fantastic Bitter End but the heart of Strong was just too much as he instinctively kicked out! Dunne continued to mount the offense, but a well-timed reversal led to the End of Heartache in favour of Roddy Strong! Dunne somehow managed to kickout as both champion and challenger were reeling looking for an opportunity to deliver the final blow.

In the end, it was The Bruiserweight who found the lucky opportunity to pounce with a second Bitter End to secure the victory, adding another successful defence of the WWE United Kingdom Championship to his young resume.

Dakota Kai def. Shayna Baszler via Disqualification

Revenge is a dish best served cold, and Dakota Kai was looking to serve it on ice against The Queen of Spades. A few weeks ago, Baszler tried to break the arm of the young Kiwi, but the ever resilient Dakota Kai came back stronger than ever. Kai managed to get the upperhand on the former Number One Contender for the NXT Women’s Championship, that is until Shayna ducked out of the ring to grab a steel chair. The Queen of Spades called for the quick disqualification as she smacked Kai right in the small of the back with the international object.

The screams of Kai echoed throughout Center Stage as Baszler kept attacking the nearly-broken arm with the chair. Baszler, ever under a spell of destruction, wrapped the chair around the arm of Dakota and looked to Pillmanize the poor NXT upstart. Luckily, Kairi Sane ran down the steps and stopped the attack by taking down Baszler and getting her own form of revenge! Shayna snuck away like a scared serpentine as Sane stood tall tonight - The Pirate Princess making her NXT return for the first time since being attacked by The Queen of Spades in December.

SAnitY def. The Undisputed ERA in a Six-Man Tornado Tag Team Match

SAnitY found vindication against Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish, triumphing in a vicious brawl that sprawled throughout Center Stage. Given the intense hostility between the teams and the lenient rules afforded by the Tornado Match format — no tags required, no disqualifications or count-outs administered, and the only way to win was by pinfall or submission inside the ring — bedlam was to be expected; but even by that lofty standard, the resulting pandemonium exceeded anyone’s wildest dreams.

The two factions clashed throughout the building and made ample use of the weaponry available to them. Both teams gave and receive big hits: Alexander Wolfe thwacked O’Reilly with a steel chair, Cole ran Eric Young into the ring steps and Killian Dain launched Fish off the stage onto his teammates below.

Though Dain’s rampage was slowed when he missed a senton and crashed through a table, The Beast of Belfast wound up being the difference-maker. After Undisputed ERA effectively took out Young & Wolfe, Dain returned to the ring and summarily destroyed Cole, O’Reilly & Fish one by one, finally driving Fish into the mat with the Ulster Plantation for the win. Dragging his dazed teammates up to their feet, Dain stood tall over the wreckage on the battlefield, commanding the ring as only the unleashed Beast of Belfast could. As SAnitY stood tall, they grabbed the ERA’s NXT Tag Team Championships and held them high in the air, signalling that their path to regaining the titles is far from over.

WWE: Raw (February 19, 2018)

WWE Raw: February 19, 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona

The final stop before WWE Elimination Chamber lands in Phoenix, Arizona and the heat is most definitely on. In six days, six men clash for the Intercontinental Championship inside the demonic structure that has both made and shortened careers. But some might say that one of the most important elements of such a match is the number you draw, and on this night there would be not one, but two Triple Threat Matches that would lead to a one-on-one bout in the main event to determine the superstar who will enter the Men's Elimination Chamber Match at #6.

Having to defend his title inside the structure was already an issue with The Miz, and he was sure to express that when he came out to address the WWE Universe and his five opponents this Sunday. The A-Lister - flanked by his Miztourage - ran down the competitors joining him inside the Elimination Chamber and claimed that he would not only win tonight's series of matches to claim the #6 spot, but he would also go on to retain the Intercontinental Championship and go onto WrestleMania. His claims were quickly rebutted by The Big Dog who crashed Miz's moment and made his own declaration, informing he A-Lister that his days as Intercontinental Champion are numbered, because Roman Reigns wants his title back.

Before The Miz could even muster up a response, the pair were greeted with the music of one Samoa Joe, their opponent in tonight's Triple Threat Match. The Destroyer shrugged off the claims of both his adversaries and explained the reason he didn't need to run his mouth about how he is going to win this Sunday - he's Samoa Joe. He doesn't care if he has to tear each of his five opponents limb-from-limb, he will do whatever he has to. But he probably wasn't expecting the action to start so soon as The Big Dog lunged forward and dropped the former NXT Champion with a Superman Punch as The Miz quickly hopped out of harms way through the ropes. With Reigns making the first move, it was time to kick things off on Raw with the first of two Triple Threat Matches, leading to the naming of the #6 entrant into the Men's Elimination Chamber bout.

Samoa Joe def. Roman Reigns & Intercontinental Champion The Miz to advance to the main event

While it may have seemed like a great idea at the time, Reigns' rash actions only seemed to anger The Destroyer, and he came back with a vengeance, raining pain down on The Big Dog and The Miz. It was only a matter of time before he regained his composure and returned the favour, crushing Roman Reigns with a senton and hooking the leg, but the Intercontinental Champion was luckily there to break up the pin. As The Miz tried his best to steal a victory, capitalising on Joe's offence, he found himself on the receiving end of a Spear from The Big Dog, but it was Samoa Joe that ultimately came up trumps as he disposed of Reigns with an enziguiri and hooked The Miz's leg, scoring a huge victory over the Intercontinental Champion and one of the biggest threats in the match.

Cementing his spot in the main event, Samoa Joe left ringside with a smug grin on his face, leaving The Miz and Roman Reigns deflated in their losses. With Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins and Finn Bálor scheduled to compete in the second Triple Threat bout later in the night, who would Samoa Joe take on, and could he truly be the conqueror he claims to be and enter the Elimination Chamber in arguably the best spot available?

Apollo Crews def. Raw Tag Team Champion Cesaro

Titus Worldwide proved last week that they should definitely be taken seriously when it comes to the Raw Tag Team Champions. However, it was The Bar's unfortunate choice of action that led to Titus O'Neil and Apollo Crews receiving a title opportunity, courtesy of Raw General Manager, Kurt Angle. Looking to knock the challengers back a step or two, Cesaro took on Apollo Crews in a small preview of their title clash to come this Sunday, but The Bar's hopes of looking strong heading into their pay-per-view bout were dashed by the talented Crews who capitalised on a missed double foot stomp from The Swiss Superman, connecting with a huge Spin-out Powerbomb. The Celtic Warrior tried to make the save, but was kept at bay by Titus O'Neil allowing Crews to take home the victory for Titus Worldwide.

The challengers look more and more promising each week, and a last minuted victory over one half of the Raw Tag Team Champions will surely see them well in terms of momentum heading into Elimination Chamber. The Bar were clearly infuriated at the loss, but that's what happens when you underestimate your opponent, and Titus Worldwide appear to have that underdog advantage.

The Miz's ego may have taken a hit in the opening contest of Raw, but Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas were eager to reassure their leader that he was still the best. However, their moment of reinforcement was ruined by the arrival of The Bálor Club. Finn Bálor, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson arrived on the scene to mock The Miztourage, only to end up squaring off. In the heat of the moment, Axel and Dallas made a challenge to Gallows and Anderson, which The Good Brothers gladly accepted and told them to head to the ring. It seems that The Miz's tendency to let his mouth get him into trouble has rubbed off on his proteges as well.

Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson def. The Miztourage

The phrase "keep your words soft and sweet" comes to mind. The Miztourage may have bitten off more than they could chew by challenging the former Raw Tag Team Champions to a match on Raw, and that proved to be the case. Unfortunately for Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas, Gallows and Anderson were not going to take a loss for anybody, and after taking out Axel with a spinebuster, Anderson grabbed Dallas and led him into a Magic Killer, allowing The Bálor Club duo to pick up the win.

Finn Bálor was surely looking on during this one, and he was no doubt proud of his Bálor Club brothers, earning him some extra momentum heading into the Men's Elimination Chamber Match. But the true momentum would be his if he was able to defeat Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins later in the night and go on to defeat Samoa Joe, claiming the #6 spot in the brutal bout.

The big news from last week was still abuzz around the WWE Universe - Rounda Rousey will return at WWE Elimination Chamber this Sunday! But not everybody was pleased with the announcement, especially not the Raw Commissioner, Stephanie McMahon. The Billionaire Baroness confronted Raw General Manager, Kurt Angle in his office with a stern message. She made it very clear that she knew Kurt Angle was the one who invited Ronda Rousey to Elimination Chamber, and she also knows that The Olympic Gold Medalist was the one who gave her a spot in the Women's Royal Rumble. Stephanie McMahon made it clear as day that she did not want Ronda Rousey anywhere near Monday Night Raw, under no circumstances. Despite trying to explain the benefits of Rousey joining the red brand, The Queen of Queens would not hear it and warned Kurt Angle that as long as she is Commissioner of Raw, Ronda Rousey will never step foot inside the Raw ring.

Sasha Banks def. Bayley

Tag team partners last week, opponents this week. Best friends turned adversaries, Sasha Banks and Bayley collided ahead of the first-ever Women's Elimination Chamber Match this Sunday where the Raw Women's Championship would be up for grabs. Speaking of the title, Alexa Bliss and her "friend", Nia Jax joined Cole, Graves and Coachman on commentary to observe the match between two of their opponents in Sunday's history-making bout. Opening things with a handshake, the former Raw Women's Champions came to blows and fought tooth-and-nail for the advantage just six days away from arguably the biggest match of their careers. After a hard-fought collision that saw both superstars make near fall after near fall, it was a minor error from Bayley after missing a diving elbow drop, that led her into a backstabber and a Bank Statement from The Boss, forcing The Huggable One to reluctantly submit.

With another victory under her belt, Sasha Banks made a point to send a glare Alexa's way up the ramp, but the Raw Women's Champion looked to be unfazed by Banks and instead raised her title above her head. It should be noted that Nia Jax gave a glance Alexa's way as she held the title in the air, Little Miss Bliss noticing out of the corner of her eye. Everyone is gunning for Alexa's title, and she's got an uphill struggle to retain it come this Sunday.

But another element in the match soon arrived from out of nowhere as Mickie James exploded into the ring with a pair of vicious Mick Kicks to Sasha Banks and Bayley! The former Women's Champion shocked everyone as she laid out two of her opponents inside the Elimination Chamber and gave a nod of her own to the reigning Champion, Alexa Bliss. Who will walk out of the first-ever Women's Elimination Chamber Match this Sunday as the Raw Women's Champion?

Braun Strowman def. Finn Bálor & Seth Rollins to advance to the main event

Already, Samoa Joe landed himself a spot in the main event to compete for the #6 spot inside the Men's Elimination Chamber, and now it was time to find out who his opponent would be. The opportunity was not to be missed, and these three superstars knew that. Finn Bálor and Seth Rollins waste no time forming a temporary alliance to take down the bigger Braun Strowman, and for the most part it was a success. But once The Monster Among Men had been momentarily dealt with, their attention turned to each other and rematch for the ages took place before the Phoenix crowd. Back and forth they went, each delivering their own version of the Slingblade to the other, and Bálor finally gained the advantage with a shotgun dropkick. As the leader of The Bálor Club took to the skies, Strowman re-entered the mix and caught him in mid-air, throwing him to the canvas with a sickening chokeslam. The behemoth covered his adversary, only to be taken out with a Blackout from The Architect! Capitalising on the rare situation, Rollins covered Strowman, only to get a mere two count. The Kingslayer tried to catch Strowman with the curb stomp again, only to be lifted up and planted into the canvas with a Running Powerslam. The Monster Among Men wisely tossed Bálor over the ropes before hooking the leg of Seth Rollins and scoring the victory.

Once again, the monstrous Braun Strowman appeared unstoppable and was just one more victory way from holding the most advantageous spot inside the Men's Elimination Chamber. As if the big man wasn't already dangerous enough, he could potentially have even more of an upper hand. But he would have to conquer Samoa Joe in the main event, which is no easy task, even for a giant like Braun Strowman. But if anyone can do it, it's The Monster Among Men.

The Empress of Tomorrow holds all the card in the women's division, earning the right to challenge for any Women's Championship at WrestleMania after winning the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble. Asuka came to the ring and announced that she would be watching the Women's Elimination Chamber very closely, hinting towards that being her possible choice of title. However, before she could either confirm or deny that assumption, she was rudely interrupted by Absolution. Paige, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville had a few choice words for the former NXT Women's Champion, The Raven-Haired Renegade guaranteeing that if it was the Raw Women's Championship that Asuka chose to go for at WrestleMania, it would be her who she will face on The Grandest Stage of Them All. The Empress of Tomorrow grinned, and issued a challenge there and then to Paige. Of course, she declined the challenge, but instead offered Asuka an alternative and sent Sonya Deville into battle against the 2018 Women's Royal Rumble winner.

Asuka def. Sonya Deville via countout

Asuka was clearly ready for the challenge, although it wasn't her first choice of opponent. But she is never one to back out of a fight and she took everything she had to Sonya Deville, sending a message to Paige and likely the entire Women's Elimination Chamber combatants. The undefeated superstar had Deville on the back foot and was able to secure the Asuka Lock, but before the Absolution member could submit, she was pulled from the ring by Paige and Mandy Rose. The trio retreated up the aisle as the referee reached his ten count.

Another victory for The Empress of Tomorrow, but not the way she would have liked to add another notch to her streak. Absolution regrouped on the stage only to be stopped by Asuka who had something left to say, shockingly issuing a challenge for Elimination Chamber - Asuka against Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose in a Handicap Match! It's not often that a superstar makes the challenge of a Handicap Match hat's not in their favour (unless you're AJ Styles with sarcastic remark), but Asuka laid it out. Paige accepted on the duo's behalf and moments later, WWE.com confirmed the bout to be official as per Kurt Angle.

The Revival def. Local Competitors

Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson are undoubtedly on the path of redemption, picking up yet another victory over a local Phoenix tag team. The former NXT Tag Team Champions laid waste to their adversaries with a Shatter Machine, showing their dominance as a unit on Raw.

Matt Hardy def. Goldust

With The Great War just six days away from exploding, The Woken One took to the ring for one final duel ahead of his impending clash with Bray Wyatt at Elimination Chamber. Goldust rose to the occasion as Hardy's unfortunate opponent, but felt the wrath of The Woken when the two veterans went head-to-head. Looking to send a clear warning to The Eater of Worlds, Matt Hardy scored an impressive victory by finishing Goldust off with a Twist of Fate.

The atmosphere quickly changed when Bray Wyatt himself appeared on the titantron and pure darkness. A warning from the depths of Sister Abigail's soul was sent Matt Hardy's way as Wyatt made it clear to his bitter rival that this Sunday would be his end. Matt Hardy and all his Woken Warriors have officially been sentenced to "deletion" by The Eater of Worlds, something which Matt Hardy did not take too kindly.

He may not be worthy of a Grammy Award, but he still wants everyone to Walk With Elias. The Sinister Songsmith made his way to the ring for a pre-Elimination Chamber performance that he claimed would be "far greater than any Elimination Chamber Match". The WWE Universe might not agree that it would be far greater, but they may just think it will be just as barbaric. Elias sat down with his guitar and sang a short number aimed at the participants of the Men's Elimination Chamber Match, labelling them all as "cover artists" while he was the real deal. In Elias' mind, they are just the warm-up for his grand concert.

Someone who didn't quite agree with Elias' ear-grating performance was Raw's newest acquisition, Kassius Ohno. The former NXT superstar interrupted the ballad with his theme music that sent the WWE Universe wild. Not so happy with his presence, Elias stood up and demanded to know who he thought he was. Ohno introduced himself as Raw's latest superstar, and told Elias that he should remember him because he was the one that sent him packing from NXT.

The Drifter was having none of his interruption and warned Kassius Ohno that he was messing with the wrong guy, but The Knockout Artist wasn't finished yet. While he reminded Elias of his knockout ability, he did praise his former rival for being better at it than him - mainly due to his singing putting people to sleep. Rage filled Elias' eyes and he lashed out with a swing of his guitar, only for Ohno to duck underneath it and strike with a Knockout Elbow. Elias was able to avoid the damage by holding his six-string over his face, Ohno smashing through the wood as The Sinister Songsmith quickly fled ringside.

With the WWE Universe behind him, Kassius Ohno lifted up the remains of Elias' guitar above his head with a grin, The Drifter looking on in a fit of anger. Elias certainly won't forget this, and Kassius Ohno hasn't heard the last of this, for sure.

Braun Strowman def. Samoa Joe to receive the #6 spot in the Men's Elimination Chamber Match

Theoretically speaking, the #6 position is the best chance of leaving the Elimination Chamber as the winner, and that is why it is so sought after by the six competitors involved. However, the field had been narrowed down to The Monster Among Men and The Destroyer in the battle for the final entry spot. Braun Strowman arguably already has the advantage being the monster that he is, but Samoa Joe did not let that scare him away and stood up to the big man with no intimidation. Having defeat The Miz and Roman Reigns earlier in the night, Joe had nothing to be intimidated about. The two aggressive superstars clashed with force, the ring practically moving each time they came to blows. The Destroyer surprised everyone when he scooped up the monstrous Strowman and slammed him to the canvas before delivering a senton. However, he was unable to score the win as Strowman kicked out at two. With Joe coming closer and closer to knocking the giant off his pedestal, things looked to be heading his way. That was until he attempted to lock in the Coquina Clutch, only to be lifted up by The Monster Among Men and slammed down with a reverse chokeslam. Strowman capitalised and delivered a thunderous Running Powerslam to Samoa Joe, hooking the leg and claiming the victory in a shocking comeback.

Braun Strowman stood dominant over Samoa Joe after being ran down by his five opponents last week, now knowing that he had the ultimate advantage by entering this Sunday's Intercontinental Championship bout at #6. As The Monster Among Men raised his hands into the air, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Finn Bálor and The Miz appeared on the stage, glaring down at the dominant force. Will Braun Strowman annihilate the competition this Sunday and leave as the Intercontinental Champion? Or will one of his five opponents be able to topple the giant and defeat the rest of the field? WWE SmackDown LIVE: February 20, 2018 in Phoenix, Airzona

The Highlight Reel never really ends well, and last week was no exception. Chris Jericho once again descended his own talk show into chaos when he brutally assaulted the WWE Champion, AJ Styles and smashed him head-first through the brand-new JeriTron. Money well spent? Jericho seems to think so. The self-proclaimed Best in the World made his way out to address the WWE Universe and gloat about the beating he gave his Fastlane opponent, but the crowd in attendance were less than happy to see the former World Champion, and they made that very clear.

Undeterred by the negative response, Y2J continued to rub it in the face of all Styles' "phenomenal fans", even going as far as to call for a replay of the heinous assault on the titantron, to which Chris Jericho grinned from ear-to-ear. But his moment of smugness was about to be brought to a Strong Style halt, as the 2018 Men's Royal Rumble winner, Shinsuke Nakamura crashed the party. With Jericho asking "who the hell do you think you are?", The WWE's Rockstar responded by reminding him he was Shinsuke Nakamura, and wasted no time laying down the challenge to the number one contender, to the delight of the Phoenix crowd.

Reluctantly, Chris Jericho accepted the challenge and took his leave up the aisle, keeping his eyes firmly on The King of Strong Style who had a grin to rival his own. An anticipated clash awaited as Chris Jericho and Shinsuke Nakamura collide for the first time ever - tonight on SmackDown LIVE!

United States Champion Bobby Roode & Tye Dillinger def. Jinder Mahal & Baron Corbin

The ongoing rivalry between Jinder Mahal and the United States Champion, Bobby Roode continued to boil over, joining forces with Baron Corbin and Tye Dillinger respectively for a tag team bout. The Lone Wolf had his own issues with The Perfect 10 to contend with after Dillinger picked up an upset victory over the former United States Champion last week. The bad blood between Roode and Mahal boiled over, leading to them taking the fight to the outside, leaving Corbin with Dillinger in hopes of getting some revenge for his embarrassment. But unfortunately for him, it all ended in much of the same as The Perfect 10 slipped out of an End of Days attempt and rolled up The Lone Wolf for the second week in a row, scoring the shock win for him nad the United States Champion.

The fight on the outside dispersed and Bobby Roode embraced his tag team partner in celebration, the two leaving with their hands held high. Groundhog day for Corbin as history repeats itself twice in as many weeks. Jinder Mahal stormed off in frustration, but nobody was more furious than Baron Corbin, who became the laughing stock of the WWE Universe once more.

Rusev def. Zack Ryder

The Bulgarian Brute had not found much success as of late, despite the fact that every day is Rusev Day in his eyes. But his luck may have changed as of tonight as the former United States Championwas able to defeat Zack Ryder one-on-one - albeit with Aiden English at his side - and pick up a much-needed victory. Rusev locked in the devastating Accolade to force The Long Island Iced-Z into submission.

It was indeed Rusev Day on this day as Aiden English encouraged the WWE Universe to chant for The Bulgarian Brute. With WrestleMania looming, Rusev and every other superstar in the locker room will be looking to impress to earn their place at The Grandest Stage of Them All.

SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair def. Sarah Logan

A Six-Woman Tag Team victory last week put Charlotte Flair in a good position heading into her title defence at Fastlane as Ruby Riott aims to knock The Queen from her throne and take the SmackDown Women's Championship. But tonight was about Sarah Logan gaining her leader some momentum. However, it didn't quite go in the favour of The Riott Squad as Becky Lynch and Naomi were close at hand to have the back of the SmackDown Women's Champion. The Queen was able to deliver the Natural Selection to secure the victory over one member of The Riott Squad just under three weeks away from her match with the leader.

The Riott Squad were quick to flee ringside, avoiding a confrontation with the rest of Charlotte's allies, who helped the SmackDown Women's Champion celebrate her victory. Will the four women who have alliances with the Champion and challenger play a part in the title match on March 11?

It seems as though Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn just can't keep themselves out of trouble, once again barging in on the SmackDown LIVE Commissioner, Shane McMahon and demanding that he bring back Daniel Bryan so "justice could be served on SmackDown LIVE". Of course, Shane'O was not interested in their opinions and instead informed The Prizefighter that he would be in action tonight - once again with Sami Zayn banned from ringside - against none other than Zayn's opponent from last week, Randy Orton. KO seemed to have a very different reaction than the WWE Universe as he declared that Shane's decision as of late were downright insane, and that soon he'll get what's coming to him. Shane wished Owens luck in his match with a pat on the shoulder, whether genuine or not. Owens takes on Orton later tonight!

The New Day def. SmackDown Tag Team Champions Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin

With their No Disqualifications Match set for WWE Fastlane, Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin were eager to prove just how dangerous they are in their match with The New Day. But when their challengers, The Usos arrived on the scene mid-way through the contest, their concentration wavered and they struggled to keep their eyes on their opponents for tonight. Jimmy and Jey grabbed microphone and began explaining how they were going to take back their titles on March 11, which only enraged Chad Gable. Shelton Benjamin tried to calm him, but to no avail, and he ultimately fell victim to a Trouble In Paradise from Kofi Kingston to pick up the win.

The Usos job was done, costing their rivals the match ahead of their title clash, and even they showed some respect to The New Day as the two teams passed on the ramp. But Jimmy and Jey's attention was solely focused on the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, who were irate at being cost the bout. Chad Gable screamed that they would regret ever challenging them as Benjamin once again attempted to keep his ally calm.

Randy Orton def. Kevin Owens

Another one of Shane McMahon's hand-picked matches for the duo of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, this time saw Owens taking on Randy Orton. The Viper was victorious over Sami Zayn last week, and looked to knock off his tag team partner this time around. The Prizefighter was determined not to follow in the footsteps of his best friend and took the fight to the former World Champion, coming close on a few occasions to taking The Viper out. But when the time came for Owens to strike with the Pope-up Powerbomb, Orton was able to slither out of his hands like the snake that he is and upon landing, deliver an RKO outta nowhere! One hook of the leg later and Randy Orton had yet another victory over the rebellious alliance under his belt.

Orton's moment of glory didn't last long, however, when Sami Zayn emerged immediately following the closing bell. Taking advantage of the ringside ban being lifted as the match was officially over, Zayn jumped The Viper from behind and beat down on Orton, Owens soon joining him in what can only be described as a mugging. The duo lifted Orton to his feet and into the corner for Sami Zayn to drive his boot into The Viper's jaw with a Helluva Kick, and Owens finished the job by delivering a vicious Pop-up Powerbomb. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were not going to be ignored any longer by Shane McMahon, and they just made a statement to the Commissioner that they're not going to be messed with either.

The Bludgeon Brothers def. Tyler Breeze & Viktor

Breezango and The Ascension concocted a plan on last week's edition of The Fashion Files to try and topple the unstoppable Bludgeon Brothers. Their plan was to swap tag team partners and give Harper and Rowan something they wouldn't expect... but it fell flat as all previous attempts had done before. The monstrous pair decimated Tyler Breeze and Viktor as they had done to all previous tag teams who wanted to be the first to defeat the dangerous duo. After disposing of Viktor with a double backbreaker, they planted Prince Pretty in the center of the ring with a Double Crucifix Bomb, Harper placing one hand on Breeze's chest to secure the victory.

The Bludgeon Brothers once again remain undefeated, and have disposed of yet another pair of SmackDown LIVE superstars, despite the unpredictable nature of the team. Next week, Fandango and Konnor try their hand at taking down the big men, but after seeing how their fellow allies were dealt with tonight, they might be having some serious second thoughts.

Chris Jericho def. Shinsuke Nakamura via disqualification

In what can only be described as a "dream match", Chris Jericho and Shinsuke Nakamura made their way to the ring for a highly anticipated bout that the WWE Universe were eager to witness. Tom Phillips was quick to mention that this may even be our WrestleMania main event if Chris Jericho can win the WWE Championship at Fastlane and Nakamura decides to go for the prestigious prize. But kicking things off, the pair engaged in a technical back-and-forth with neither man seeming to get the advantage. The Rockstar soon gained an advantage and sent Jericho over the ropes and down to the floor, forcing him to rethink his strategy. The former World Champion went on the attack, aiming for Nakamura's left leg in a targeted assault, looking to weaken it and remove the Kinshasa from his arsenal. But when The King of Strong Style fought back, he was able to take them back to a stalemate by taking Jericho down with an inverted exploder suplex. Shinsuke Nakamura measured the self-proclaimed Best in the World for a Kinshasa to end it all, but Y2J was wise enough to catch the leg and instead lock in the Walls of Jericho! Nakamura writhed in pain as he tried to crawl to the ropes, but before he could reach the ring apron, the WWE Universe erupted for the arrival of none other than the WWE Champion, AJ Styles!

The referee immediately called for the bell as Styles lunged into the ring, tackling his Fastlane opponent to the canvas in a furious rage. The Phenomenal One - who was sporting a plaster across his forehead - rained down right hands on Y2J before clothesline him over the ropes and down to ringside where the announce desk was stood. Tom Phillips, Corey Graves and Byron Saxton quickly made tracks as Styles picked Jericho up and sent in crashing over the table and down to the concrete behind it. The WWE Champion grabbed his arch-rival by the hair and rolled him back into the ring where Shinsuke Nakamura was laying in wait - Kinshasa! Jericho tumbled to the outside near the aisle and stumbled his way up it as Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles stood side-by-side in the ring.

The King of Strong Style smirked as Jericho retreated on all-fours, AJ Styles still breathing heavily in a rage. The pair had given the number one contender a taste of his own medicine, but an awkward shift in atmosphere came about when Shinsuke Nakamura turned to AJ Styles and then looked up to the WrestleMania sign. Was this the warning that the 2018 Men's Royal Rumble winner is coming for the WWE Championship at The Show of Shows? Only time will tell.

WWE 205 Live: February 20, 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona

The fast-paced all-action WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament continued en fuego in Phoenix with the last two first round matches! While last week proved a great opportunity for both Tony Nese and Kalisto, tonight saw Gran Metalik, Hideo Itami, and the debuting Roderick Strong and Raul Mendoza all scratch and claw their way to the second round.

Gran Metalik def. Raul Mendoza

The lucha libre style wowed the world here on 205 Live when El Rey de las Cuerdas faced off against the debuting Raul Mendoza. Mendoza was eliminated in the first round of the Cruiserweight Classic back in 2016, but he hoped to make a better impact in this tournament go-round.

Metalik and Mendoza flew all over the ring, using their lucha backgrounds to throw one another around the squared circle with amazing grace. Following an exchange of Tope Suicidas and Tope Con Hilos (MAMMA MIA!), Metalik was able to display his athletic ability with a vicious hurricanrana driver! Metalik followed it up with the Metalik Driver to advance to the next round of the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.

Hideo Itami def. Roderick Strong

Looking for the opportunity to compete at WrestleMania for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, NXT Superstar Roderick Strong stepped up to take on Hideo Itami in the first round of the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament. Both Superstars have battled all over the world – including against each other – but now the stakes were higher than ever.

As the contest got underway, both Itami and Strong showed off their technical prowess to a stalemate, each looking for the right opening to mount a full-fledged offense. Strong eventually took control and unleashed stinging strikes across Itami’s chest, but the Japanese Superstar soon turned the tables. First unleashing a series of high-powered kicks, Itami struck with a diving leg drop from the top.

However, as Itami unleashed aggressive strikes, Strong displayed his resilience and his ability to adapt and innovate to shift the tide.

The two continued to strike back and forth with a mix of agile moves and hard-hitting blows. Battling to the outside, the two again threw punches and elbows before Strong incredibly picked up his opponent and threw him back-first into the ring apron.

Knowing the stakes, Strong and Itami remained unrelenting – Itami even executing a super Falcon Arrow, but to no avail, as Strong kicked out of the pinfall.

Itami soon put an exclamation point on the match with a devastating Go 2 Sleep that knocked the NXT Superstar senseless long enough to let Hideo get the pinfall. After the match, Itami helped Strong to his feet as the two former rivals exchanged some words in the ring. In the spirit of competition, both The Messiah of the Backbreaker and The Japanese Sensation shook hands as the first-round of the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament came to a close.

WWE NXT: February 21, 2018 in Atlanta, Georgia

There was a big fight feel at Center Stage when NXT General Manager William Regal introduced the show live from his office. Regal, who smiled from ear to ear, welcome everybody to a historic edition of NXT, where Andrade “Cien” Almas defends the NXT Championship against Johnny Gargano in a rematch from their surefire Match of the Year contender from NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia. And instead of waiting for that match - it will kick off the show right now!

Johnny Gargano def. NXT Champion Andrade “Cien” Almas

It was all about redemption for Johnny Gargano tonight in Atlanta, coming off one of the most hard-fought matches in his career. While Almas walked out victorious in Philly, Gargano’s wounds were struck with salt after that tremendous match via an attack with a crutch from former best friend Tommaso Ciampa.

There was no fear of The Sicilian Psychopath tonight, as NXT General Manager William Regal banned any contracted NXT talent from ringside - including the champion’s business manager Zelina Vega. Tonight was a fight between two of NXT’s tentpole competitors - champion vs. challenger.

Gargano was razor-focused early on. The NXT Champion matched his challenger’s intensity though, as both in-ring technicians used the match’s beginning stages to test the waters.

The pace of this main event clash quickly reached a fevered pace that refused to slow down until the final moment as champion and challenger went back-and-forth, exchanging one spectacular maneuver after another.

Center Stage was booming as Almas and Gargano traded an extraordinary exchange of moves that you had to see to believe. Both men refused to give up as the bout quickly reached the fifteen minute mark.

The challenger had momentum on his side and the champion on his heels as the crowd rose to their feet. With Gargano standing in the corner, Almas swiftly popped up and delivered a corner dropkick that nearly took Johnny Wrestling’s head off his shoulders. It was not enough to end this contest, as both competitors struggled for the continued momentum.

Both men somehow forged on in this marathon battle, with Johnny Wrestling locking in his Gargano Escape submission move. It looked as though this could be the moment Gargano had been waiting his entire life for, but Almas managed to scratch and claw his way to the bottom rope to force the break. The champion was not letting his championship reign slip from his fingers.

Almas later delivered a potential knockout blow when he delivered a double foot stomp onto Garagno as the Cleveland native hung from the top turnbuckle outside the ring. Almas doubled and tripled down on his assault, slamming Gargano’s back against the side of the ring. Almas then stormed ahead, hitting his challenger with a double knee strike in the corner. But, alas, it was not enough to keep giant-hearted Gargano down for the three-count.

With the match time surpassing the thirty minute mark, the champion looked to put away the challenger and accomplish his destino with a fluid somersault reverse DDT, but Gargano still managed to kick out of any and all finishing attempts from the champion.

Both champion and challenger remained tranquilo as the match went on, slowly going longer than their critically-acclaimed encounter at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia. The fight went outside the ring for the very first time after forty minutes, with both men hitting each other with the ferocity of an angry lion.

Back in the ring, Gargano hit a slingshot DDT on Almas, but the champion showed his own jaw-dropping resilience by kicking out. After managing to reach the ropes and break the Gargano Escape submission, Andrade looked to finish Gargano’s career with a double knee strike against the ring post, but Johnny Wrestling had it well scouted as the defending NXT Champion crashed and burned.

Gargano looked to capitalize on the potential injury by locking in a Hart-esque Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring. Almas screamed in agony as Gargano wrenched on the knee, Center Stage voicing their support for the challenger…

… but then a certain bald-headed individual jumped the barricade, entered the ring, and smacked the challenger right between the eyes with a crutch! The referee has no choice but to call for the disqualification at the forty-nine minute mark. Almas rolled out of the ring, still champion, but feeling the effects of the knee pain.

Johnny Gargano remained motionless in the middle of the ring. The lethal combination of exhaustion and the knockout blow finally killing his rebel heart dead in its tracks.

NXT General Manager William Regal hurried out on stage with an army of security guards who were instructed to rush to the ring. Regal was fuming from anger, knowing that his six-star classic main event was once again destroyed by a violent psychopath.

And as for Tommaso Ciampa, well, he stood there with a smile on his face.

WWE Elimination Chamber: February 25, 2018 in Paradise, Nevada

Just one month ago, history was made when the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble Match took place. On this night, a much more sinister piece of history was made as the first-ever Women's Elimination Chamber Match was held in Paradise. The Raw Women's Championship was up for grabs inside the steel structure, as was the Intercontinental Championship as The Miz defended his prestigious title against five other competitors. Careers have been shortened inside the horrifying construction, but which superstars walked out with all the gold tonight?

Elias def. Kassius Ohno (Kickoff Match)

Before the barbaric Elimination Chamber was lowered, some superstars had some business to deal with, and two of those superstars were Kassius Ohno and Elias. After a controversial concert this past Monday on Raw, there was some tension between The Drifter and The Knockout Artist. Elias' performance ended in applause, but only for the opposition as Ohno made a smart remark that Elias skills on stage were more likely to knock people out than Ohno's punishing elbows.

The frustration boiled over for Elias as he unleashed an enraged assault on his old NXT rival. Kassius Ohno retaliated with his usual ferocity, keeping The Sinister Songsmith at bay, but when Elias re-introduced his guitar into the mix, Ohno once again obliterated it with his dangerous elbow. But the momentary shift in attention allowed Elias to capitalise on the referee's distraction as he removed the debris from the ring, and Elias delivered a crippling low blow to Ohno before rolling him up and scoring the victory with a handful of tights.

Fleeing from ringside, The Drifter looked on with a smug grin, Kassius Ohno was still keeled over in pain, looking back up in a rage. KO may have gatecrashed Elias' Raw concert this past Monday, but Elias certainly hit the last note in this song.

Asuka def. Sonya Deville & Mandy Rose

The undefeated Empress of Tomorrow is edging closer and closer to her WrestleMania opportunity, and has remained so since her very debut between the ropes. But in perhaps her toughest challenge, Asuka went up against Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose of Absolution. But the twist on this story is - Asuka made the challenge! Clearly confident in her ability, the former NXT Women's Champion went in head-on against the devious duo. Deville and Rose arrived without their leader, Paige at their side due to her preparation for the first-ever Women's Elimination Chamber Match later in the night.

Absolution wasted no time going to work on the Japanese superstar, refusing to obey the referees demands for them to tag in and out. Rules apparently don't apply to the Absolution duo, but Asuka saw to it that one of them left the ring, even if it was by force. A roundhouse kick saw to it that Sonya Deville crashed to the outside, leaving Mandy Rose alone to take on The Empress of Tomorrow.

Proving to everyone why she is the 2018 Women's Royal Rumble winner, Asuka delivered a beating to her Absolution adversaries. The numbers game played a role when both women were able to bend the rules and momentarily assault Asuka with the referee desperately trying to regain control. The number one contender to any Women's Championship she chooses, Asuka regained control herself and send Mandy Rose crashing to the outside with a dropkick before ducking underneath a jumping roundhouse from Deville and applying the Asuka Lock, forcing Deville to submit.

Another victory for Asuka as she continues on her Road to WrestleMania, but when will we find out who she will challenge on The Grandest Stage of Them All?

Matt Hardy def. Bray Wyatt (The Great War)

Bizarre doesn't quite cover it. The ongoing battle between "Woken" Matt Hardy and The Eater of Worlds has spiralled out of control to the point where nobody even knows what is going to happen next between these two. Their inevitable implosion at Elimination Chamber was billed simply as The Great War, and it was easy to see why once it got underway. JoJo kindly offered a few explanations towards the rulings of this match, claiming that it would be a no disqualifications, no countouts, no holds barred brawl. Nice.

The two deranged individuals collided in the center of the ring to determine who the true higher power would be, and it was a back and forth bout the entire time. The rules - or lack thereof - came into effect when Bray Wyatt utilised a steel chair to crack over the spine of Matt Hardy and take advantage of the match. The Face of Fear quickly mounted an offence over his arch-nemesis, frequently bellowing that he held the true power. But The Woken Warriors rallied behind their almighty shepherd and gave him the power to fight back.

The Woken One came back with a vengeance, using the steel chair previously introduced by Bray Wyatt, and even fetching some weapons of his own, such as a Singapore cane, a table and to the delight of the WWE Universe, the item synonymous with the Hardy name - a ladder! Realising the danger approaching, Bray Wyatt stopped Hardy from ascending the ladder and ascended the opposite side. In a "King of the Castle" moment, Bray Wyatt spread his arms wide and looked to the sky with a grin as boos rained down from the WWE Universe.

But he was taken by surprise when Matt Hardy suddenly revived and hit him in the gut, eventually delivering a sky-high Twist of Fate from the top of the ladder, directly through the table below! Slowly crawling into the cover, Matt Hardy claimed victory over his ultimate rival and The Woken Warriors erupted for their Woken Leader. Matt Hardy had conquered the darkness of Bray Wyatt and Sister Abigail, proving that he is indeed "Woken".

Cedric Alexander, Kalisto, Gentleman Jack Gallagher & Hideo Itami def. Mustafa Ali, Tony Nese, Mark Andrews & Gran Metalik

The first round in the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament is in the books and these superstars all happened to be the fateful eight. The opponents in the second round found themselves on opposite teams as a little preview for the next batch of cruiserweight action on 205 Live.

Tensions did flare in the bout, especially when it came to who was in the ring to compete. Everybody wanted to have a chance to get some reps ahead of the next few weeks. All of them soared around the ring, but tempers took over when Tony Nese and Mustafa Ali exchanged words after Nese tagged himself in. Nese almost cost his team the win by running right into a roundhouse kick from Hideo Itami, but the pin was broken by his partner (and opponent on March 20th) Gentleman Jack Gallagher.

Chaos ensued as every cruiserweight competitor entered the ring and took turns hitting their patented signature maneuvers to much delight in Paradise. Alexander and Kalisto turned their attentions to Gran Metalik and Mark Andrews, leaving two rocky partnerships to coexist in the ring to do battle. In a turn of events, Gallagher and Nese nodded to each other and looked to leave the ring, but Gallagher snuck up behind The Premier Athlete and rolled him up for the quick pin!

Nese was duped and couldn’t believe his supposed friend would do him dirty like that. But in the end, as he pointed at the WrestleMania sign, Gentleman Jack Gallagher proved that he is willing to do whatever it takes to win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at the “Greatest Stage of Them All”.

Sasha Banks def. Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss, Bayley, Paige, Nia Jax & Mickie James (First-ever Women's Elimination Chamber Match)

Just a few short weeks ago, the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble Match took place. Tonight, the first-ever Women's Elimination Chamber was hosted in Paradise. The six women involved realised the danger they were all in, and how this horrifying structure has shortened careers in the past for the male superstars, and the female superstars are in for much of the same. Nia Jax, Mickie James, Paige and the Raw Women's Champion, Alexa Bliss entered the pods to start the bout, leaving former Champions, Sasha Banks and Bayley to kick things off in this history-making contest.

The two best-friends-turned-opponents locked up with their adversaries looking on from each corner of the ring. No punches were pulled between these two allies, understanding the every woman for herself mentality. Hoping to gain a quick elimination in the early moments of the match, Bayley rolled up The Boss, only to receive a two count. Banks responded by disposing of The Huggable One over the ropes and down to the hard floor on the outside. Already throwing caution to the wind, Sasha ascended the ropes and delivered a high crossbody from the top, taking Bayley and herself to the floor as the countdown to entry number three began.

Mickie James joined the fold, wasting no time taking the fight to both of her opponents, just six days after laying them both out in the ring on Raw. The former Women's Champion slammed Bayley head-first into the pod that contained Paige, and then rammed Banks spine-first into the chain link wall. With a primal scream, Mickie James took control of the situation and made gestures towards her chambered opponents, letting them know that she was ready for their entries as well. But with her back turned, Bayley battled back and sent James into the ring post, causing her to fall back in the ring. Bayley climbed to the top and delivered a Macho Man-like elbow, going for the cover, but James kicked out. The Boss began to stir on the outside as number four was ready to enter.

It was the Raw Women's Champion herself that emerged from her pod to enter the action, and she had a very clear gameplan - stay away for as long as possible. Little Miss Bliss stalker her prey as she made her way around the ring, watching her three active opponents take shots at each other inside the ropes. Sasha Banks went back on the offensive against Bayley, throwing her onto the top rope and driving a double knee into her sternum, folding her up. But when Mickie James got back to her feet, she was able to drop The Boss with a big DDT! Alexa Bliss picked her spot and struck, rolling Mickie up for a quick cover, but the former Women's Champion escaped and immediately delivered a Mick Kick to the skull of Bliss! However, the Raw Women's Champion tumbled to the outside before Mickie could claim a pinfall. The damage may have been done, but Bayley made her move and locked her hands around Mickie James before driving her into the canvas with a Bayley-to-Belly! The Huggable One hooked the leg and sent James packing as the first superstar to be eliminated, just moment before the entry of number five.

As Mickie James was ushered to the door of the structure, Nia Jax entered the bout and immediately took down Sasha Banks and Bayley with a double clothesline. The Irresistible Force lived up to her name as she crushed her adversaries, tossing Bayley over the ropes and down to the hard floor, moments before squashing Sasha Banks in the corner with an avalanche. The Raw Women's Champion re-entered the ring and stood beside her best friend, nodding her head and laughing at her adversaries who were swatted by Jax. However, it seems that the gold meant more to Nia Jax than friendship as she grabbed the back of Alexa's hair and threw her into the corner, hitting her with shot after shot. Using her brute force, Nia launched Alexa across the ring with a hiptoss, the WWE Universe delighted to see Jax's focus being solely on the Raw Women's Championship. The countdown began one final time as The Raven-Haired Renegade, Paige had her pod door opened.

Reluctant to enter the ring with the dominant Nia Jax, Paige stood outside for a moment, allowing Sasha and Bayley to attack The Irresistible Force from behind. The Boss and her best friend took the dominant superstar down with attempted a double suplex, but Jax overpowered them in an astounding display, delivering a suplex to the both of them. Paige entered the ring to capitalise, but walked right into Nia Jax who grabbed her and drove her into the canvas with a Samoan Drop! Nia Jax then bounced off the ropes and dropped a huge leg across the chest of the Absolution leader, and covered her for the elimination!

With Paige eliminated, four women remained and Nia Jax was looking as dominant as ever. She grabbed her "bestie", Alexa Bliss and drove her down with a powerslam, turning to Sasha Banks to drop her with another powerslam. Jax saw the opening to cause some real damage as Bayley used the chamber pod on the outside to get to her feet. But Jax backed up on the outside and screamed before charging at The Huggable One, only for the former Raw Women's Champion to move out of the way and send Nia crashing through the bulletproof pod glass! Perhaps the best way to take the behemoth down, and Bayley accomplished it. Bayley slowly rolled Nia under the ropes and she began to stir in the ring, but out of nowhere, Alexa Bliss flew from the top rope with a Twisted Bliss! She hooked the big leg of Jax, eliminating her best friend.

Alexa Bliss stood and saw what was before her - the duo of Sasha Banks and Bayley. The best friends united once more to unleash an assault on Little Miss Bliss, but their union soon crumbled when Sasha Banks tried to take Bayley down with a backstabber, only for Bayley to hang onto the ropes and prevent it from happening. The Huggable One turned on her serious mode and took The Boss down with a dropkick. All the while, Alexa Bliss regained her composure and looked to capitalise. The Raw Women's Champion tried to deliver a DDT to Bayley, but she was suddenly rolled up into a small package and shockingly pinned for the three! The WWE Universe were nothing short of surprised as Alexa Bliss was eliminated, meaning that a new Raw Women's Champion would definitely be crowned!

Bayley quickly bounced to her feet with an emotional grin, Alexa Bliss furious, hitting the referee and screaming at the top of her lungs. Bayley turned to The Boss to continue the match, only to be attacked from behind by the superstar she had just eliminated. Bliss rained down shots on Bayley in a fit of rage, but The Huggable One was having none of it and delivered a thunderous Bayley-to-Belly to the now former Champion, ultimately taking her out of the equation. But Sasha Banks saw this as an opportunity and initiated the backstabber, rolling into the Bank Statement! Intensity built and tension rose as Sasha wrenched Bayley backwards, her best friend screaming in pain. But Bayley had no choice but to submit and thus crowned Sasha Banks the Raw Women's Champion for her impressive fifth reign!

The Boss had tears streaming from her eyes as she knelt in the center of the ring, being handed the Raw Women's Championship once more inside the first-ever Women's Elimination Chamber, and she forced her best friend into submission to do it, proving that this golden prize means more to these ladies than anything else. Sasha Banks holds the title once again, and that means one thing - she's going to WrestleMania - and that's Legit Boss.

Raw Tag Team Champions The Bar def. Titus Worldwide

For weeks now, Titus Worldwide has had the number of the current Raw Tag Team Champions and were finally granted their rightful opportunity at championship gold. Titus and Apollo brought the fight to the mohawked and swiss cyborgs from the onset of the match, the man named after the Greek god flew all over the ring all while throwing Sheamus and Cesaro around like ragdolls.

But the champions were not going to lay down for the challengers, wailing Titus Worldwide with vicious punches and power moves. Cesaro looked to reconnect with an old favorite known as the Cesaro Swing, but a Titus O’Neil big boot shelved those plans. Sheamus and Titus soon went over the top rope and to the floor, leaving Cesaro to counter Apollo’s attempt at The Chariot into a huge Neutralizer that allowed the champions to earn the one-two-three.

Ronda Rousey's return is crashed by Stephanie McMahon

Since arriving in the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble, Ronda Rousey had the entire world talking about her debut in the WWE. The former UFC competitor made an instant impact and trended all over social media, with the question being "When will Ronda Rousey have her next match?". The WWE Universe were eager to find out, and when the General Manager of Raw, Kurt Angle arrived in the ring, they knew that they could be close to finding out. The Hall of Famer was gushing with pride to introduce "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey to the WWE Universe, revealing that in his hand he held Ronda Rousey's official contract for Monday Night Raw! History was made earlier in the night with the first-ever Women's Elimination Chamber, and now history would be made again as Ronda Rousey entered the arena and looked to sign her contract to Kurt Angle's Raw.

Rousey made it clear to everyone that she wouldn't be here without the support of the WWE Universe, and promised to not disappoint them. She then turned to the Olympic Gold Medalist and cited him as an inspiration to her career, and her desire to be a professional wrestler, thanking him repeatedly for inviting her to join the red brand. But her moment of pride was crashed by an unlikely guest - Stephanie McMahon.

The Billionaire Baroness arrived to a chorus of negativity from the WWE Universe, and particularly upset Kurt Angle by interrupting this monumental moment. Stephanie McMahon has never been one to mince her words, and tonight was no exception as she reminded Kurt Angle of her warning last week on Raw where she outright instructed Angle not to invite Ronda Rousey to be a part of Raw as long as she is the Commissioner. Angle tried to interrupt Stephanie as she approached him in the ring, but she simply told Angle to back off. The WWE Universe could sense the tension.

The Queen of Queens got in the face of Ronda Rousey and made a very clear statement - "You do not belong here. You never will. And you need to leave - NOW!". But the former UFC competitor squared up to the Raw Commissioner to an incredible reaction in Nevada. Responding in kind, Ronda Rousey explained to Stephanie McMahon that he has worked to get here, and this is her dream, and she's going to stop at nothing until she achieves it. Kurt Angle backs her up, explaining that he is more than excited to have Rousey join Raw.

She was having none of it. Stephanie made it clear that she wanted Rousey to have no part of Raw, and took the contract from Kurt Angle's hands, tearing it up to boos. The Billionaire Baroness gave some parting words to Ronda Rousey as she left - "Go home. And don't come back". Angle and Rousey looked on with scowls as Stephanie McMahon strutted up the aisle, the WWE Universe just as furious with her actions as the pair in the ring. Ronda Rousey's historical moment had been ruined by the daughter of Vince McMahon.

Intercontinental Champion The Miz def. Roman Reigns, Finn Bálor, Samoa Joe, Seth Rollins & Braun Strowman (Men's Elimination Chamber Match)

Chaos had already encase the ring earlier with the Women's Elimination Chamber, but now the second dose of carnage was about to ensue. The WWE Universe watched as the demonic structure lowered and the six combatants made their way to the ring. Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman and the Intercontinental Champion, The Miz were locked inside their pods, with Seth Rollins and Finn Bálor kicking off the bout with a nod of respect. Former adversaries over the Universal Championship now found themselves inside a prison of steel, battling for the Intercontinental Championship.

Back and forth the fan-favourites went, eager to get the upper hand this early in the bout, and they both showed their determination. The Architect delivered a series of hard kicks to Bálor's chest in the corner, hoping to wear down the leader of The Bálor Club. But the former Universal Champion battled back with delivered a Slingblade to his old rival. The atmosphere becomes tenser by the second as the match draws on, and the two comeptitors inside the ring collided after both having the same idea and hitting crossbodies on the other. As they lay motionless, the countdown began to bring about entrant number three.

Samoa Joe rushed out of his pod and went right to work on Seth Rollins. The hard-hitting superstars delivered brutal head shots to The Kingslayer, pounding away at his skull, before turning his attention to Finn Bálor who had just got back to his feet, taking him down with an impressive STO. Joe isolated Bálor on the outside, throwing him spine-first into the pod containing Roman Reigns. As Finn rebounded, he was launched into the opposite pod that contained The Miz, and then he was planted on the hard floor with a uranage from The Destroyer. And he wasn't finished there as he drove himself into the sternum of Bálor with a senton. As Joe's path of destruction seemed to be unstoppable, Rollins sprung from out of nowhere with a flying knee from the top, taking Joe down. The three superstars lay motionless on the outside as the countdown struck once more.

The reigning Intercontinental Champion, The Miz emerged from his pod and grabbed Seth Rollins, throwing him into the chains. He grabbed the legs of the former Shield member and catapulted him into the chains again, Rollins landing in a heap on the floor. The A-Lister turned his attention to Finn Bálor, bouncing his head off the lexan glass that he had just come from, and then sending him back into the ring. He delivered a big corner clothesline and hooked the leg, but Bálor refused to be the first man eliminated. Samoa Joe regained his stance and began grinding Rollins' face against the chain wall. Meanwhile, The Miz dropped Bálor with a neckbreaker to once again try and score an elimination, but to no avail. It was time for entrant number five as the countdown reached zero.

The Big Dog has arrived! Reigns exploded from his pod and delivered a thunderous Spear to Samoa Joe! He hopped into the ring and delivered a second Spear to The Miz as well. Taking no prisoners, he stalked Finn Bálor who slowly got to his feet and was also met with a bone-shaking Spear. The former World Champion turned to see his old ally, Seth Rollins standing before him and the WWE Universe erupted for the inevitable clash between these two former brothers. The blows began to be traded as they went back-and-forth, but it was Reigns with a Superman Punch that gained control and then he measured Rollins for yet another Spear. But out of nowhere, Finn Bálor popped up and drove Reigns back into the corner with a shotgun dropkick! The five men in the ring were already showing signs of fatigue, but as the countdown once again began, everyone knew what was about to come next. Ladies and gentlemen, prepare for The Monster Among Men.

Or so we thought... as the countdown reached its end, the ringside officials had some issues getting the pod door to open. It's live TV, things can go wrong and anything can happen in the WWE! Growing increasingly agitated, Strowman screamed at the referees to get his pod opened so he could join the match, but they simply could not release the lock. The Monster Among Men took matters into his own hands and amazingly booted the pane of bulletproof glass - yes, bulletproof glass - out of the frame and escaped from his confines himself. The giant entered the ring and tossed his opponents around like they were children, wasting no time showing off his brute force. After being caged up for longer than he was supposed to be due to an unexpected issue, he was eager to catch up on lost time.

Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns united, momentarily renewing their Shield bond to take the fight to Braun Strowman, but even they could not combat the monstrous individual, and once Strowman had thrown Reigns over the ropes to the hard floor, he lifted Rollins up and drove him into the canvas with a Running Powerslam! Strowman hooked the leg and eliminated The Architect in impressive fashion. Finn Bálor soared through the skies in an attempt to take down Strowman himself, but was swatted away like an insect when The Monster Among Men delivered a sickening clothesline in mid-air.

He turned his attention to the Intercontinental Champion, grabbing him by his head, but suddenly Strowman was cut down to size by a Spear from The Big Dog! Reigns erupted, having taken down The Monster Among Men, but his accomplishment may have taken his eye off the ball as The Miz ran Reigns into the corner and sent him shoulder-first into the steel post, causing Reigns' head to collide with the chamber pod in the process. The Miz dragged Reigns back to the center of the ring to deliver a Skull-Crushing Finale and hooked the leg, but somehow Reigns was able to kick out!

The battle became more and more tense. Samoa Joe capitalised on The Miz's shock and went to lock in the Coquina Clutch on the Intercontinental Champion, but as he did, Braun Strowman was back on his feet and took both men down with a big train-like takedown. The Monster Among Men lifted Samoa Joe to his feet and then planted him with a Running Powerslam, scoring his second elimination. Four men remained, and Strowman looked as dominant as ever. The behemoth stood with his hands raised and a bellowing scream, looking nothing short of unstoppable. However, his Elimination Chamber moment was about to take an even more mysterious turn...

Flames exploded from the stage, startling Braun Strowman! The big man looked up towards the entrance way, the WWE Universe as confused as he was. The lights began to flicker in the arena with sounds of electricity pumping around the arena, a roar of excitement coming from the fans in attendance, and Strowman looked around in utter confusion. Suddenly, The Monster Among Men turned around into a thunderous Spear from Roman Reigns! As he laid on the floor holding his sternum, Finn Bálor flew from the top rope with a Coupe de Grace to put the icing on the cake! And to complete the triple team, The Miz scurried over to cover the big man, with Bálor and Reigns initiating a dogpile and eliminating Braun Strowman from the Elimination Chamber in a bizarre moment.

The Monster Among Men didn't leave quietly though, delivering chokeslams and big boots to everyone in sight, including the officials that tried to get him out of the Elimination Chamber. After he was eventually being removed, the three superstars remaining squared off knowing what was at stake. Reigns and Bálor formed an unlikely alliance to give the Intercontinental Champion a taste of his own medicine, but soon turned on each other realising that it truly was every man for himself. Roman Reigns measured Bálor for a Spear, and as he lunged towards his adversary, he evaded the attack, sending Reigns into the middle turnbuckle. Bálor followed it up with a shotgun dropkick and then ascended the ropes, apparently for a Coupe de Grace - but Bálor had other ideas. He ascended one level further, climbing atop one of the chambers as the noise began to build in the arena, and in a moment to remember, Finn Bálor descended from the top to drive both boots into The Big Dog's chest with a Coupe de Grace and to the disbelief of many, hooked the leg for the three, eliminating Roman Reigns.

Just one more man to beat, and it was the Intercontinental Champion himself. Bálor fought tooth and nail with The Miz, desperate to capitalise on this enormous opportunity, and he came painfully close to hitting another Coupe de Grace on The A-Lister, but luckily for The Miz, he had his Miztourage to watch his back. Deafening boos filled the arena as Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas took advantage of the Chamber's doors being open to remove Roman Reigns, and assaulted Bálor with vicious intent. But their mugging was interrupted by the arrival of Bálor's own backup - Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson! The WWE Universe exploded as The Bálor Club made their way to the ring and sent The Miztourage packing, launching them from the Chamber and battling them back to the stage. But the assault may have been perfectly planned as Finn Bálor struggled to his feet, only for The Miz to take advantage and plant him with a Skull-Crushing Finale and claim the victory to retain his beloved Intercontinental Championship.

So close but yet so far, Finn Bálor lay motionless in the center of the ring as The Miz was handed his title, barely looking like a winner at all. He raised the Intercontinental Championship above his head in victory, but many questioned if Miz even knew where he was. Michael Cole expresses how Finn Bálor has been cheated out of the Intercontinental Championship, only for Corey Graves to respond by explaining that you do whatever it takes to retain a Championship, and The Miz's name is still in the record books regardless.

WWE Raw: February 26, 2018 in Anaheim, California

The Elimination Chamber structure didn't disappoint in playing host to two barbaric bouts for two prestigious Championships just 24 hours prior. A new Raw Women's Champion was crowned in Sasha Banks, while The A-Lister was able to cling onto his Intercontinental Championship with a little help from his Miztourage. But now, the Road to WrestleMania has truly begun, and continuing down that road, Monday Night Raw runs through Anaheim with appearances from John Cena who would be in action against Bray Wyatt, and of course the return of the WWE Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar to address his WrestleMania status. But before the red brand officially kicked off, The Boss had something she wanted to say.

The brand new Raw Women's Champion, Sasha Banks graced the arena with her presence, beaming with pride as she held the title around her waist. It was just one whole day since making history and claiming the victory inside the first-ever Women's Elimination Chamber, defeating five other worthy superstars including her best friend, Bayley and of course the former title holder, Alexa Bliss. The Boss addressed her monumental victory by pointing towards the WrestleMania sign that loomed above with a grin, the WWE Universe giving her a standing ovation. Sasha Banks gave an emotional speech regarding her efforts to scratch and claw her way back to the Raw Women's Championship, and she wasn't going to let anybody stand in her way of going to WrestleMania with the gold, all the while promising that she would be leaving New Orleans with the prize intact. Cue Asuka.

The Empress of Tomorrow arrived to an eruption from the WWE Universe and stood face-to-face with the new Raw Women's Champion. She may speak in broken English, but everyone understood what Asuka had to say - "Will you be ready for Asuka at WrestleMania?". The 2018 Women's Royal Rumble winner made her intentions clear, smiling and pointing up to the logo above, officially declaring her decision to challenge for the Raw Women's Championship on The Grandest Stage of Them All. But as these two superstars came nose-to-nose in a pre-Mania confrontation, they were interrupted by the former Champion, Alexa Bliss.

Clearly infuriated by her loss, Little Miss Bliss demanded her rematch for the Raw Women's Championship, explaining that she shouldn't have had to defend her title in such a barbaric match in the first place. But before The Boss could respond, The Empress of Tomorrow answered Bliss' challenge instead and invited the former Champion to the ring for an impromptu battle. The Boss hopped out of the ring as Alexa reluctantly made her to to ringside for a collision with the undefeated Asuka.

Asuka def. Alexa Bliss

With WrestleMania all set for The Empress of Tomorrow, it was just a case of maintaining her momentum on the road to The Show of Shows, and remaining undefeated certainly helped her case. The former Raw Women's Champion held her own against the 2018 Women's Royal Rumble winner, but ultimately fell victim to the same submission that everyone does, and had no choice but to submit to the Asuka Lock in the center of the ring.

Moments after the ring bell, Asuka looked up towards the stage where Sasha Banks had remained to observe her WrestleMania opponent, and gave her a delicate wave with a smug grin. The Empress of Tomorrow was more than ready to grab her opportunity at WrestleMania, and Sasha Banks emotional climb back to the top of the food chain might have been all for naught.

Kassius Ohno def. Elias

The Sinister Songsmith got his measure of revenge on Kassius Ohno in the Kickoff Show of WWE Elimination Chamber, albeit through controversial methods. The Knockout Artist received his rematch to redeem his loss against Elias and didn't blow the opportunity at redemption. The Drifter tried to replicate his victory from 24 hours ago, but Ohno had his number, avoiding the low blow by quickly spinning around and delivering a thunderous Knockout Elbow for the victory.

The former NXT superstar stood in celebration over the fallen Songsmith, looking better than ever in front of the WWE Universe. Ohno's Road to WrestleMania is of to a good start, while Elias might very well be stuck singing the blues.

Raw Tag Team Champions The Bar def. Heath Slater & Rhyno

Conquering their rivals, Titus Worldwide, The Bar were moving onto bigger and better things, namely gloating about their victory to anyone who would listen. Heath Slater and Rhyno stepped up to the plat to take on Sheamus and Cesaro tonight on Raw, only to suffer the same fate as Apollo and Titus O'Neil. With Cesaro taking Rhyno from the ring apron with a torpedo European Uppercut, Sheamus delivered the killing blow to Slater with a Brogue Kick and the win.

The Celtic Warrior and The Swiss Superman grabbed microphones from ringside to establish themselves - in their own mind - as the greatest tag team in WWE history. With nobody to argue their point, they declared a never-ending Raw Tag Team Championship reign and vowed to enter WrestleMania and decimate any team that steps in their way.

Elimination Chamber wasn't the best night for Raw General Manager, Kurt Angle. His history-making moment to sign Ronda Rousey to Raw was ruined by Stephanie McMahon, leaving him with egg on his face and a rather upset Rousey to deal with. Angle's day was about to get a whole lot worse as The Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman exploded into his office, grabbing the Hall of Famer by his suit. "What the hell is your problem?" bellowed Braun, to Kurt Angle's confusion. The big man wanted answers from last night after his night was plagued with errors, issues and distraction. After being distracted by exploding pyrotechnics and shoddy lighting, Strowman wanted to know exactly what was going on. But to his disappointment, Kurt Angle had absolutely no idea what was going on and explained that he was looking into it himself.

Becoming more agitated, Strowman pushed Angle up against the office wall, only to be interrupted seconds later by Angle's son, Jason Jordan. Perhaps not the wisest move, Jordan pulled Strowman off his father and asked him what his problem was. The Olympic Gold Medalist then came up with an idea - Braun Strowman versus Jason Jordan - tonight! Thanks, Dad.

Seth Rollins def. Roman Reigns

In a battle of former brothers, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns clashed just 24 hours after competing in the Elimination Chamber Match for the Intercontinental Championship. Although the bout began with a respectful fist bump, they were pulling no punches with WrestleMania on the horizon, hoping to make an impact ahead of the annual spectacular. Back-and-forth they went in a battle for pride, and with both men knowing so much about the other, it seemed as though it could last forever. But when The Big Dog sprung into action with a Spear from out of nowhere, The Kingslayer was able to leapfrog the strike, sending Reigns into the ring post shoulder-first and stumbling back into the center of the ring. One Blackout later and it was all over for the former World Champion as Seth Rollins picked up a shocking victory over his former ally in a one-on-one bout.

Showing their respect for one another, Rollins helped The Big Dog back to his feet and they shared an embrace reminiscent of their Shield days. Reigns raised the hand of The Architect in celebration, and the WWE Universe were left wondering where these two former World Champions go from here on the Road to WrestleMania.

The Revival def. Local Competitors

Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder did not appear at WWE Elimination Chamber, but they sure made up for it in their Raw appearance tonight. Disposing of yet another pair of local talents, The Revival laid waste to their adversaries, finishing them off with a Shatter Machine for good measure.

The former NXT Tag Team Champions were on the rise for sure, and showed no signs of stopping. Could we be looking at future Raw Tag Team Champions?

Do we live in a world where we are truly ready for a special edition of Miz TV with special guest - The Miz himself? We're not sure, but that's what we got on Raw as the reigning Intercontinental Champion arrived in the arena, accompanied by Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas. The A-Lister wasted no time introducing himself as his own guest and began gloating about his Elimination Chamber victory that saw him defeat five other superstars to retain his Intercontinental Championship. Of course, this victory was monumental, but in the eyes of The Miz, it was the greatest victory in the history of sports entertainment, and he declared his name etched in the history books forever as the greatest Intercontinental Champion in history. And the top it all off, he claimed to have done it all by himself. Even Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas gave him a look of confusion, but applauded their idol anyway, as all good supporters should, right? But The Miz's grand presentation was about to be taken down a peg when his party was crashed by the arrival of The Bálor Club.

Finn Bálor, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson made their way out to the ring as the WWE Universe chanted "Too Sweet" for their arrival. Upon being questioned as to what on earth they were doing out there, Finn Bálor responded by reminding The Miz that if it wasn't for his cronies, The Miztourage, he would have had him beat in the Elimination Chamber. "Really?" question The A-Lister, explaining that the history books read - The Miz wins the Men's Elimination Chamber Match and retains the Intercontinental Championship - and that's what matters. The former Universal Champion made it clear to The Miz that on any given night, one-on-one, he would beat The Miz and take his title from him. As the pair came nose-to-nose, The Miz took a sudden swing, but had it blocked by Bálor and a brawl ensued between the two alliances.

Bodies flew around the ring left and right, but it was The Bálor Club that came out on top as The Good Brothers sent Axel and Dallas crashing over the ropes with a pair of clothesline, and The Miz found himself on the receiving end of a shotgun dropkick, sending him through the ropes and down to the floor. The Miztourage retreated in a fit of rage as The Bálor Club stood tall inside the ring. Finn Bálor's bold claims will surely resonate with The A-Lister, and his intentions are very much clear - he wants The Miz one-on-one.

Mere moments after the announcement was made that Ronda Rousey would be on Raw next week to address her status with the WWE, Stephanie McMahon burst into Kurt Angle office in a flurry. The Raw Commissioner questioned Angle's hearing when she reminded him of their conversation last night - Ronda Rousey does not belong. The Raw General Manager asked Stephanie McMahon to hear him out and explained that he wanted Ronda to say her piece and address her feelings live on Raw, but The Billionaire Baroness was having none of it and informed the Hall of Famer that if Ronda Rousey sets foot inside the ring next week, then Angle's own job will be in question. Stephanie stormed out and left Kurt Angle with some food for thought. Will the Olympic Gold Medalist go through with his plan regardless of the repercussions?

Nia Jax def. Mickie James

The Irresistible Force had an impressive showing inside the first-ever Women's Elimination Chamber, eliminating Paige and annihilating everyone else in the match. But unfortunately due to the other superstars realising her threat and uniting to eliminate her, she was unsuccessful in her attempt to become Raw Women's Champion. Tonight, Nia Jax defeated former Women's Champion, Mickie James with a devastating Pop-up Samoan Drop, followed by a big Leg Drop to the back of Mickie's skull to secure the win.

Nia Jax looked as dominant as ever, but where does she go from here? The Irresistible Force is one to be reckoned with, but where she goes from here is anyone's guess. An unpredictable Nia Jax is a very dangerous Nia Jax.

The Great War finally came to a close at WWE Elimination Chamber, with Matt Hardy reigning supreme over his arch-nemesis, Bray Wyatt. The Woken One expressed his delight at finally vanquishing the corrupted soul of Sister Abigail and disposing of The Eater of Worlds at "The Chamber of Elimination". But moving on to bigger and better things, Matt Hardy invited the WWE Universe to join him on his fun-filled journey on the path to the promise land as he envisions a WrestleMania that is "wonderful". With The Woken Warriors behind him, Matt Hardy sends out a message to his followers and promises that WrestleMania will be a delightful event, and to anyone who hopes to ruin that, they will be deleted!

Braun Strowman def. Jason Jordan

Nothing says "I love you, son" like putting you in a match with The Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman. Jason Jordan reluctantly entered the bout to fight for his father's honour, but ultimately fell victim to an irate behemoth who was furious about his loss just 24 hours prior in the Elimination Chamber. Unfortunately for Jordan, he got the brunt of Strowman's rage and was driven into the canvas with a thunderous Running Powerslam. But the big man wasn't finished and instead hit Jordan with not one, but two more Running Powerslams before covering him for the victory.

The ring bell was called and Braun Strowman stood in the ring, oozing intensity. But suddenly, his night takes a similar turn to the one before as once again, a fiery pyro explodes from the stage, and the lights begin to flicker with sounds of electricity surging through the arena. Clearly startled, Strowman storms up the ramp and approached the commentary desk where he demands answers from Michael Cole, Corey Graves and Jonathan Coachman. Of course, they tell him they have no idea what's going on, but that's not what he wanted to hear. The Monster Among Men launches their chairs onto the stage and then tips their announce table up and off its podium, sending it crashing to the concrete where it exploded into pieces. Braun Strowman is most definitely not happy with whatever is going on, and he will stop at nothing until he gets to the bottom of it.

Having confronted Asuka earlier in the night to confirm their WrestleMania bout for the Raw Women's Championship, Sasha Banks looked to be ready to leave the arena. However, her path to the door was cut off by her best friend, Bayley to the WWE Universe's delight. The Boss smiled and greeted The Huggable One, but Bayley wasn't here for hugs believe it or not. The former Raw Women's Champion congratulated Sasha on her victory, but brought up the fast that Sasha capitalised on a distraction to beat her last night. The Boss explained that you have to do whatever it takes and she was stopping at nothing to become Raw Women's Champion again. Bayley obviously appreciated that, but explained that with Banks holding the title, that means she's a target, and like she didn't hold back inside the Elimination Chamber, she won't hold back when the opportunity arises. The Boss looks slightly unnerved by Bayley's statement and gives an awkward smile before quickly leaving. The WWE Universe show their support for Bayley as she watches her best friend leave with the title, clearly thinking one thing - she wants that gold.

John Cena def. Bray Wyatt

With WrestleMania on the horizon, John Cena resurfaced to take on Bray Wyatt on Raw. The Cenation Leader will be looking for his own Road to WrestleMania and won't settle until he has it. The Eater of Worlds looked to redeem his loss to "Woken" Matt Hardy at Elimination Chamber my knocking off the returning 16-time World Champion, but it just wasn't to be as John Cena was dead set on returning with an impact and coming one step closer to his next WrestleMania moment. When Bray Wyatt attempted to finish the job with Sister Abigail, Cena was able to spin out and drive The Face of Fear into the canvas with an Attitude Adjustment and send Wyatt home with a loss, achieving his successful return victory.

The former World Champion celebrated with the WWE Universe and pointed up towards the WrestleMania sign, signifying his desire to appear at the big event. Surely "Big Match John" will find himself on The Grandest Stage of Them All one way or another. But before he can, his night was about to get a whole lot worse. Samoa Joe emerged from out of nowhere to the horror of the WWE Universe and viciously assaulted the Cenation Leader in a heinous attack. Joe unleashed a furious rage on the former World Champion, pummelling him with shot after shot and then throwing him to the outside.

The Destroyer lived up to his name as he truly destroyed John Cena, repeatedly bouncing him off the barricade spine-first and then into the ring post. Joe returned the assault to the ring and measured Cena up before applying the Coquina Clutch, locking it in tight and choking out the iconic superstar. Officials and referees quickly descended on the ringside area and tried to pry Joe from the lifeless body of John Cena, but it took them longer than expected to get The Destroyer to release his hold. Samoa Joe found himself escorted up the aisle with a sadistic expression on his face as officials tended to the 16-time World Champion in the ring.

Michael Cole questioned Samoa Joe's actions, looking for some sort of explanation for this heinous attack. But Corey Graves made a valid point, that Samoa Joe will be looking to make a mark heading into WrestleMania, and what better way to make that mark and to start at the very top - John Cena.

The much anticipated return of Brock Lesnar was upon us and the WWE Universal Champion arrived alongside his advocate, Paul Heyman. As the pair entered the ring, they looked up to the WrestleMania sign with a chuckle. Of course, Paul Heyman made a joke of WrestleMania, claiming that Brock Lesnar was not out here to point to an oversized logo, he wasn't out here to express what WrestleMania means to him, he's out here to address his next victim, whoever that may be.

Reminding the WWE Universe of last year's WrestleMania, Heyman says The Beast broke Goldberg to become the Universal Champion, and still to this day he holds that title because nobody can take it from him. "Nobody on this entire roster is capable of taking this WWE Universal Championship from Brock Lesnar, and that's a fact" declared Heyman, Lesnar looking as smug as ever. But Heyman made a bold statement, claiming that whoever receives the opportunity to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania will absolutely receive their five weeks of relevance, they will receive their five weeks of fame, but when it's all said and done, on the night of WrestleMania, they will be welcomed to Suplex City and will be just another victim that has been destroyed by The Beast Incarnate, and that's a "spoiler".

Paul Heyman directed his next point towards the Raw General Manager, Kurt Angle and asked him to find Brock Lesnar an opponent who can give him a challenge. Explaining that he understand how hard it is to find someone who is even willing to step up to the plate, but Brock Lesnar needs a victim for WrestleMania, and implores Kurt Angle to find an opponent that will benefit from being relevant for the next five weeks before Brock Lesnar drops them right back to reality. Moments pass but there's no response from Kurt Angle, or anyone for that matter. Paul Heyman is all but ready to walk away without an answer, when suddenly the unthinkable happened, and the WWE Universe went absolutely stir crazy...

Shinsuke Nakamura emerged from the stage to a deafening response as Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman look on in shock. The 2018 Men's Royal Rumble winner appeared on the stage amidst the flashing light for the first time ever on Monday Night Raw. The Rockstar made his way to the ring and stood mere inches away from The Beast in a confrontation for the ages, chants of "Nakamura" and "This is awesome" resonating through the arena in Anaheim. The King of Strong Styles grinned at Brock Lesnar and then raised his hand up to the WrestleMania sign while trembling in his own vintage style. Brock Lesnar doesn't take his eyes off Nakamura as The Rockstar continues to grin in the face of the Universal Champion as Monday Night Raw fades to a shocking close.

The unthinkable happened on Monday night when the 2018 Men's Royal Rumble winner, Shinsuke Nakamura defected to the red brand to cash-in his WrestleMania opportunity on Raw's Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar. With SmackDown LIVE now left without a number one contender for the WWE Championship on The Grandest Stage of Them All, Shane McMahon knew he had to act fast if he wants to put a big main event together for the blue brand's Mania moment. And he wasted no time getting that underway when he opened up the show this week.

The Commissioner of SmackDown LIVE wasn't bitter about Nakamura's decision, even congratulating The Rockstar and wishing him the best of luck against The Beast in New Orleans. But the matter at hand was finding a contender for either AJ Styles or Chris Jericho on April 8. But just as The Prodigal Son was about to reveal his plans, the unwelcome duo of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn decided now was a good time to pitch their own plans. Once again sporting their #JusticeForBryan garb, the former number one contenders got up in Shane's face, demanding that they receive the right to challenge for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, believing that they deserve another shot after what happened at the Royal Rumble. But Shane-O had other ideas.

Revealing his master plan, McMahon informed Owens and Zayn that they would not be handed the number one contendership position, and instead announced a match for WWE Fastlane on March 11. And rather than teaming up, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will be squaring off! The WWE Universe were delighted at the though, which is more than we can say for the pair in the spotlight. But Shane wasn't finished yet, as he informed them that there would be a third element in their bout, and that third element - is Randy Orton.

With the monumental Triple Threat Match now official for SmackDown LIVE's last exclusive pay-per-view event, he issue of finding a number one contender for WrestleMania will be solved in two weeks. The Prizefighter called it a conspiracy against them by the Commissioner, but Shane explained that he wasn't interested in any theories Kevin Owens had, and instead revealed to them that they would both be in the main event - against each other. "Kami" will have to put their alliance aside ahead of the Fastlane bout, and the pair were far from happy about it.

SmackDown Tag Team Champion Shelton Benjamin def. Jey Uso

Their No Disqualifications rematch is less than two weeks away, and before they collide in a no holds barred contest, one superstar from each team will square off over the next two episodes of SmackDown LIVE. This week, the SmackDown Tag Team Champions were able to walk out with the upper hand, albeit thanks to some shady behaviour by Chad Gable who grabbed the leg of Jey Uso as he attempted to fly from the top rope. Jimmy Uso was able to drag Gable back to the floor, but the distraction allowed Shelton Benjamin to make an impressive leap to the top and deliver a huge Paydirt to secure the victory.

The SmackDown Tag Team Champions may have been victorious this week, but next week will see Chad Gable go head-to-head with Jimmy Uso. Will the result once again fall in favour of the reigning Champs? Or can The Usos pull back a victory to regain their momentum heading into their title rematch?

Tye Dillinger def. Mojo Rawley

The last couple of weeks have seen Tye Dillinger score big victories over Baron Corbin in both singles and tag team action. With The Perfect 10 seemingly on the rise, he looked to continue his winning ways against Mojo Rawley, and he was able to do just that, showing off his deceptive power to lift Rawley onto his shoulders and connect with a Tye Breaker for the victory.

Another win for The Perfect 10 and the WWE Universe were rallying behind him, but what was physically behind him was much worse - Baron Corbin. The Lone Wolf emerged from out of nowhere and attacked the man who had served him two defeats in as many weeks, laying him out on the canvas. The former United States Champion lifted Dillinger back to his feet, only to drive him back down with an End of Days, clearly revenge for his recent embarrassment. Nobody embarrasses The Lone Wolf, and Tye Dillinger just learnt that the hard way.

It's not easy being the Commissioner of SmackDown LIVE, and Shane McMahon is very much aware of that, so it's always nice to have your work appreciated. Shane-O received some words of encouragement backstage from The New Day when they approached him with pancakes galore. The longest-reigning Tag Team Champions in history thanked McMahon for the job he was doing and said that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are nothing but a bunch of sore losers who could do with a few pancakes to cheer them up. Shane agreed and thanked The New Day for their support, taking his leave. But he returned to the scene to retrieve a pancake for himself before leaving once more. The New Day have the back of the Commissioner, and that's surely a good thing to know for The Prodigal Son.

WWE Champion AJ Styles def. Rusev

The sound of AJ Styles' skull smashing through the JeriTron probably still resonates within the ears of the WWE Champion, and he proved that he was out for revenge last week when he arrived against doctor's orders to deliver a beating to his Fastlane challenger, Chris Jericho. Returning to action, The Phenomenal One went head-to-head against The Bulgarian Brute in what Aiden English once again reminded everyone was Rusev Day. But it wasn't Rusev's day at all, as he was defeated by an aggressive and angry AJ Styles, letting off the rest of his steam from his assault at the hands of Y2J two weeks ago. One Phenomenal Forearm later and AJ Styles was victiorious over the former United States Champion.

The WWE Champion didn't celebrate much, instead choosing to address Jericho through the hard camera, warning him that his time would come at WWE Fastlane in less than two weeks. But as he delivered his speech, Aiden English entered the ring to avenge the loss of his fallen comrade. Big mistake, as Styles turned the tables and took down The Drama King with a Styles Clash. Moments after planting English face-first into the canvas, Chris Jericho emerged on the stage to applaud his arch-rival in a rather sarcastic manner, sporting a grin from ear-to-ear. Y2J was in the head of AJ Styles and he knew it, and The Phenomenal One was ready to unleash a furious rage on the number one contender.

Ruby Riott & Liv Morgan def. SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair & Naomi

The battle continues between Charlotte Flair and The Riott Squad, and it lead into this week's edition of SmackDown LIVE as The Queen teamed with Naomi, accompanied to ringside by Becky Lynch to take on Liv Morgan and the number one contender to the SmackDown Women's Championship, Ruby Riott. Sarah Logan of The Riott Squad was also close at hand, and made sure that she had the back of her allies during the bout. But Ruby Riott was the ultimate victory when she was able to deliver a Riot Act to the head of Naomi, knocking her out and securing the win as Liv Morgan prevented Charlotte Flair from breaking it up.

The Riott Squad had yet another win over the SmackDown Women's Champion, and things were looking incredible bleak for Charlotte and company. If Ruby Riott can knock off The Queen in two weeks at WWE Fastlane, we're most certainly going to have a Riott on our hands.

Moments after it was announced that Bobby Roode will defend the United States Championship against Jinder Mahal at WWE Fastlane, The Modern Day Maharajah made his way to the ring and gave everyone a guarantee that he would leave Columbus as the United States Champion, like it or not. Of course, many members of the WWE Universe did not agree with the comment, and they made sure Mahal knew it. However, he did not care for their approval, as he declared that the citizens of the United States had no idea what they truly wanted, and he would give them the class of Champion that they need, but not one that they deserve.

Bobby Roode had heard enough and arrived on the scene to cut Jinder Mahal off on his tangent, making it clear that the former WWE Champion is far from the ideal United States Champion. The Glorious One explains that Jinder is the total opposite of what the United States Championship is supposed to represent, because the United States are not arrogant, selfish, or egotistical. But one thing the United States is - is "glorious".

Jinder Mahal tried to strike Roode with the microphone, but The Glorious One evaded the attack and instead sent Mahal flying over the ropes. Sunil Singh tried to capitalise on the situation and make his idol proud, but all he did was lead himself into the crossfire and he found himself driven to the mat with a Glorious DDT. These two will collide at Fastlane in a battle for the United States Championship, and the representation of America hangs in the balance.

The Bludgeon Brothers def. Fandango & Konnor

Tyler Breeze and Viktor couldn't get the job done last week, so Fandango and Konnor tried their hand at defeating the unstoppable Bludgeon Brothers this week. To no avail, nonetheless. After Fandango was disposed of via a double powerbomb, Konnor fell victim to a Double Crucifix Bomb as Harper secured the pinfall for him and Rowan.

Another intense victory for The Bludgeon Brothers just continued to raise the question of who can stop these two behemoths. At the minute, nobody can. And that's why The Bludgeon Brothers are arguably the most dangerous force on SmackDown LIVE.

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn ends in a no contest

Shane McMahon may have only further fuelled the conspiracy theory that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn believe he has against them, but regardless, this reluctant battle took place in the main event of SmackDown LIVE. Once the bell had rang, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn attempted to leave the ring side-by-side, walking out on their match, but Shane McMahon was having none of it. The Commissioner came out to cut the duo off and explained to them that they can walk out and not fight if they want, but they would both be removed from the number one contendership match at Fastlane and would join Daniel Bryan on the suspension list! The WWE Universe erupted as Owens and Zayn stomped their feet in a rage. Forced to return to the ring, "Kami" reluctantly engaged in their one-on-one battle.

Kevin Owens was the first to make a move, taking down his best friend with a clothesline. Owens continued on the offensive and tries to finish off the match as quick as possible, delivering a cannonball in the corner. Zayn was able to fight back and hit a Blue Thunder Bomb on The Prizefighter, but the former Universal Champion was able to kick out. As the match continued, both men became more and more fatigued, and just as they seemed to be at a stalemate, The Viper struck! Randy Orton appeared from out of nowhere to deliver a pair of RKOs to his Fastlane opponents to the delight of the WWE Universe.

The Viper stood tall over Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, a grin on his face as he looked up to the WrestleMania sign hanging above the ring. Randy Orton just made it clear to his Fastlane adversaries that he has every intention of going to WrestleMania as the number one contender, and he'll stop at nothing to achieve that. Could we be looking at the number one contender for the WWE Championship at The Show of Shows?

WWE 205 Live: February 27, 2018 in Los Angeles, California

The City of Angels couldn’t reach the apex of high-flying brought by the exciting Cruiserweight division of 205 Live as the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament rolls on exclusively on WWE Network. In the first match of the Quarter-Finals, “The Premier Athlete” Tony Nese did battle with "Queen City's Favorite Son" Cedric Alexander.

Raul Mendoza def. TJP

While both men were eliminated from the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament in round 1, both Raul Mendoza and TJP looked to build their stock on the brand. For Mendoza, this was an opportunity to show the world that he can win inside the squared circle. For TJP, this was his chance to stop his recent woes and finally get something in the W column.

The two competitors traded the momentum at the beginning of the match, although Mendoza almost scored a quick surprise pinfall when TJP took the time to yell at a member of the WWE Universe in the front row. After nearly losing within the first few minutes of the match, something inside of TJP seemed to have snapped as he dished out extreme punishment on La Maravilla Del Aire.

Mendoza, showing the fighting spirit of a luchador, scratched and clawed his way out of TJP’s patented kneebar and then connected with a pair of beautiful dropkicks that could bring rain to Los Angeles. As TJP rolled to the outside for a breather, Raul Mendoza kept the match going by launching himself over the top rope with a wild Tope Con Hilo!

Mendoza capitalized on the dazed opponent and rolled him back into the ring. Mendoza, with the crowd support behind him, climbed up to the top rope and flew through the air to hit a death-defying Corkscrew Somersault Senton that he likes to call Jinzo to earn the victory over the first-ever WWE Cruiserweight Champion!

Cedric Alexander is stretching backstage when he is approached by his good friend Mustafa Ali. Ali is simply there to wish Cedric luck in his Quarter-Final match tonight with Tony Nese, or so we thought. When pressed for further comment by Alexander, Ali tells Cedric that he hopes for a rematch with The Lumbar Legend in the finals of the tournament — and should that happen, Mustafa Ali is not going to quit and will finally beat Cedric Alexander.

Cedric Alexander def. Tony Nese

Two of 205 Live’s flashiest competitors duked it out in the squared circle for the chance to advance to the Semifinals of the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament. The Lumbar Legend was the clear favorite of the WWE Universe here in Los Angeles, and that momentum helped in do battle against The Premier Athlete.

Both Cedric and Tony traded offense in the early goings of the match, with neither man able to get the upperhand in this standstill. Nese soon went on the offensive following a well-placed rake of the eyes, and began dishing out a flurry of punches that rained down on Alexander’s championship hopes. Nese called for the end with The Running Kneese, but the ever-valiant Alexander managed to kick out at the very last moment to keep the match rolling.

Cedric Alexander was soon the man with all the momentum in the world as he fought back against The Premier Athlete, and gave 8 different reasons as to why Tony’s face will hurt in the morning: punches, kicks, and clothesline. Alexander brought the fight from the dark into the light, and just like a certain Dark Knight, he beat down his opponent in the name of justice - justice for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship that is.

Tony Nese wasn’t going down without a fight, as he swayed the momentum back his way with a knee to the bread basket of Cedric. Nese kept the momentum in his favor by grinding the face of The Lumbar Legend with forearms and chinlocks, slowing the pace of the match.

Alexander could not be denied, as he weathered the storm of the Tony Nese experience and connected with a beautiful dropkick to stagger The Premier Athlete off his feet. Cedric, not one to waste any time, soon followed it up with a devastating Lumbar Check and the numbers didn’t lie for Tony Nese, as the 1 2 and 3 spelt elimination from the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.

WWE NXT: February 28, 2018 in Atlanta, Georgia

As NXT takes the air, NXT General Manager William Regal stands in his office with a look of displeasurement on his face. Regal apologizes for the conclusion of last week’s historic edition of NXT, where Tommaso Ciampa returned to Center Stage and attacked Johnny Gargano, costing him the NXT Championship in a surefire six-star classic. Regal recalled the stipulation added to the huge match last week, noting that since Tommaso Ciampa interfered in the match, he has officially been released as an NXT Superstar!

Velveteen Dream def. No Way Jose

Velveteen Dream picked up right where he left off after defeating Kassius Ohno at TakeOver: Philadelphia, riding his unbreakable confidence and Purple Rainmaker elbow drop to an impressive victory over No Way Jose.

Basking in his victory, Dream took the microphone to take issue with several NXT Year-End Award-winners like Aleister Black, Asuka and Tyler Bate. Needless to say, The Velveteen Dream Experience once again delivered.

The Mighty def. Local Competitors

Nick Miller & Shane Thorne continued their impressive reintroduction to NXT, overwhelming their opponents with their superior athleticism and teamwork. TM61 showed no signs of being slowed down by ring rust or Thorne’s knee injury that kept them out of action for more than a year.

After Thorne hit a cannonball on Duckworth and Skyler in the corner, the Aussie duo dialed up Thunder Valley on Skyler for the victory.

After the match concluded, The Mighty told the world that they have huge plans for their future. Looking to complete something they were unable to do before Thorne’s injury, The Mighty want a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championships and they will not crumble. They are ready for any fight and are willing to do whatever it takes to make it to the throne of the NXT tag team division. They will stand tall, because The Mighty don’t kneel.

Nikki Cross def. Vanessa Borne

Vanessa Borne showed off a new edgier side to her persona, but Nikki Cross welcomed the pain en route to a commanding victory. Cross wasted no time going on the offensive, but Borne slowed her unhinged opponent via a body scissors. Borne then attempted to get inside her opponent’s head by licking her neck. The move backfired, however, as the crazed Cross battled out of the submission before hitting The Purge for the win.

Aleister Black def. Raul Mendoza

Despite a lackluster win-loss record, Raul Mendoza has shown time again that he can hang with some of NXT’s very best, and he got another opportunity tonight when he faced one of the black-and-yellow brand’s hottest superstars: Aleister Black.

The new addition to 205 Live’s Cruiserweight division didn’t fare too well against The Dutch Destroyer, who put on an absolute showcase of his lethal striking abilities. Mendoza tried to fight back with his plethora of lucha libre knowledge, but Black was simply too much and knocked La Maravilla Del Aire’s lights out with a devastating Black Mass kick for the win.

Before NXT signed off the air, Johnny Gargano entered the confines of the yellow ropes as Black was looking to leave the same ring. Black and Gargano exchanged glares for a quick second before The Ominous Man from Amsterdam left and gave Johnny Wrestling the spotlight. Gargano was incensed, having felt screwed out of his shot at being NXT Champion by his former best friend Tommaso Ciampa.

… but the reason Gargano was out there was for only one reason: he wants NXT General Manager William Regal to reinstate Tommaso Ciampa!?!

The NXT Universe at Center Stage questioned their all-conquering hero’s words, as did William Regal when he walked out on stage to question Johnny Wrestling’s current state of mind. Gargano elaborated that he wants Ciampa reinstated on NXT for one reason: for a match at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans!

“If I can’t beat Tommaso Ciampa and end this whole nightmare on NXT, then I will quit this company and hang up my boots!” added Gargano to a big hush from the NXT faithful. Regal, being a fair GM, asked Gargano if that is what he really wanted to do.

“Yes! If I beat him, he’s gone. If he beats me, I leave.” reiterated Gargano as the NXT General Manager surveyed the crowd for their opinion, which was evident by the heap of “YES!” chants bouncing around the historic starship.

And then it was made official, with a caveat. At NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, Johnny Gargano gets his opportunity at finally defeating his walking nightmare Tommaso Ciampa… in a I Quit Match!

Surprising everybody in the WWE Universe, The King of Strong Style made his WrestleMania decision last week when he jumped ship to the red brand to stand face-to-face with The Beast, Brock Lesnar. A confrontation for the ages, the two extraordinary athletes stood beneath the WrestleMania sign in a prelude to their New Orleans battle. The Rockstar kicked off Monday night with a WrestleMania address for the WWE Universal Champion, stating his presence on Monday Night Raw to the delight of the WWE Universe. But Nakamura's grand speech to his beloved fans was rudely interrupted by someone who feels that they should be headlining WrestleMania, and that man is the Intercontinental Champion, The Miz.

Disgruntled by Nakamura's decision to hop over to Raw, The A-Lister ran down some ground rules for 2018 Men's Royal Rumble winner, claiming that Monday night is The Miz's night, and he is the number one superstar on the brand. Of course, many others within the WWE Universe disagreed, and even Nakamura looked confused, but the Intercontinental Champion continued to reinforce his point, and informed Nakamura that he would never reach the status of an A-Lister like him. But The King of Strong Style wasn't about to listen to The Miz's lecture and instead beckoned him in for a match. The Miz removed his coat and allowed his ego to get the better of him , landing himself in a physical confrontation with the number one contender for the Universal Championship.

Even with The Miztourage at his side, it was going to take a whole lot of effort to stop the momentum of The Rockstar, who is steamrolling into the main event of WrestleMania against Brock Lesnar in just five weeks. The Miz was looking to knock off the number one contender and throw his own name into the hat for a Universal Championship opportunity, but it was not to be, falling victim to Nakamura's unique offence and suffering a Kinshasa to the face, which would knock out any man. The King of Strong Style claimed his victory over the Intercontinental Champion and continued looking strong (excuse the pun) ahead of the biggest match of his career.

Back to the drawing board for The Miz who - for the second week in a row - found himself retreating up the aisle with his tail between his legs. Things aren't going too great for The A-Lister ever since his victory inside the Elimination Chamber just last week.

With the rise of The Revival becoming more apparent each week, it was made crystal clear when they took down the former number one contenders to the Raw Tag Team Championships. Titus O'Neil and Apollo gave the former NXT Tag Team Champions a run for their money, but when Dawson and Wilder got their momentum going, sending Apollo flying off the top rope and down to the barricade, they were able to deliver a Shatter Machine to Titus for the win.

Teaching Apollo a lesson in "No Flips, Just Fists", The Revival walked away with yet another impressive win, and look more dominant as the weeks go by. Can anyone put a stop to their rush of momentum?

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">John Cena calls out Samoa Joe and delivers an Attitude Adjustment</div>

Nobody expected Samoa Joe to viciously assault John Cena following his Raw return against Bray Wyatt, least of all the Cenation Leader himself. Although they had a minor confrontation just a few weeks before WWE Elimination Chamber, it seemed to be water under the bridge as The Destroyer went into the Men's Elimination Chamber Match with his focus on the Intercontinental Championship. But the former NXT Champion had other plans when he unleashed a rage-filled attack on someone formerly considered to be one of his closest friends in the business.

Of course, the 16-time World Champion wasn't about to let the assault go unnoticed and took to the ring to address his attacker, looking to get some answers as to why Samoa Joe felt the need to blindside him on last week's Raw. But as John Cena began to question the motives of The Destroyer, the man under the spotlight decided to make his presence felt, Samoa Joe arriving in the arena to confront his target.

"Never back down" isn't just a catchphrase, and John Cena showed that by getting up in Samoa Joe's face and seeking answers directly, but all Joe did was laugh in his face, declaring that John Cena should know exactly why he attacked him. Reminiscing of their past, Samoa Joe reminded John Cena of how they started in the business together, went on the road together, yet it was John Cena's career who took off, it was John Cena who collected World Championships like they were stamps, it was John Cena who became the face of wrestling itself. But that ends now.

Samoa Joe makes it clear to the Cenation Leader that this was personal, and it was all about proving who should have been the star. However, John Cena expressed his disappointment in Joe's bitterness and explained to him that he knows full well that he scratched and clawed his way to where he is today, and he did that by never giving up, rising above hate and putting on the best damn show he possibly can each and every single night. The WWE Universe may not necessarily like John Cena, but they certainly respect him, and gave him a cheer of approval. The Destroyer stated that he's worked just as hard as John Cena, and worked his rear end off to get to the WWE just for this moment - the moment to crush John Cena and prove who the true superstar is.

And with that, John Cena made one final statement - "If you want some, come get some!" - and that lead into a bone-shaking Attitude Adjustment! The 16-time World Champion drove Samoa Joe into the canvas and waved his hand in front of his face, letting Samoa Joe know, "You can't see me", and taking his leave. The battle lines have definitely been drawn, and judging by Samoa Joe's expression, this was far from over.

Strange bedfellows to say the least, Asuka and Alexa Bliss teamed up after clashing one-on-one last week to take on the team of the Raw Women's Champion, Sasha Banks and her best friend Bayley. But Bayley's bold words to The Boss last week may have landed her in some rather hot water with her "bestie", as during the match, Sasha Banks abandoned The Huggable One and left her to fend for herself. Stunned by her friend's decision to leave her hanging, Bayley found herself on the receiving end of a spiking DDT from Alexa Bliss to secure her and Asuka the victory.

The WWE Universe were disappointed in Sasha's actions, but The Boss seemed to only want to put Bayley in line and make her realise who the Raw Women's Champion was. But as Bayley rolled out of the ring and Alexa Bliss celebrated her victory, The Empress of Tomorrow struck Little Miss Bliss with a roundhouse kick to the skull! The 2018 Women's Royal Rumble winner stood tall and gave an unnerving wink and a grin towards The Boss who stood atop the stage with her tile in hand. Asuka will take on Sasha Banks at WrestleMania for the Raw Women's Championship!

Still realigning his jaw from earlier in the night, the Intercontinental Champion was being consoled by his Miztourage, only to be approached by The Bálor Club. Finn Bálor offered his sympathy to The A-Lister, wishing him "better luck next time", getting a chuckle out of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. The Miztourage were not impressed and simply scowled at The Bálor Club, as the trio left for Finn's own match up next.

Ahead of his bout with Finn Bálor, Elias decided now was a good time to perform a little concert for the Wisconsin crowd. They might not agree with his decision, though. Regardless, Elias strummed his guitar and in a musical fashion, officially announced his entry into this year's André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania. The Sinister Songsmith promised that he would walk out of WrestleMania with the prestigious award and give New Orleans the "performance of a lifetime". But first, a match with the first-ever WWE Universal Champion is on the cards.

He may have confirmed his place at WrestleMania, but Elias was not ready for the unique offence of Finn Bálor as he took to the ring for the first time since his loss inside the Men's Elimination Chamber Match. As the former Universal Champion edged closer to victory and climbed the ropes for his Coupe de Grace, he was assaulted from behind by The Miz and his Miztourage! The referee was forced to call for a disqualification as the mugging continued.

The Intercontinental Champion drove his boot into the skull of Bálor over and over again, with Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas throwing shots in where they could. But the assault was halted by the arrival of The Good Brothers. Gallows and Anderson stormed the ring, only to narrowly miss The Miztourage who scarpered before any harm could come to them. As The A-Lister and his cronies retreated up the aisle, Gallows and Anderson tended to their fallen leader. Bálor's face told the story as he looked up at The Miz with an intense glare.

The days of The Shield are fondly remembered by many members of the WWE Universe, so any moments of reunion are well-received. As Seth Rollins prepared for his main event bout with Braun Strowman, The Big Dog emerged to wish his former brother luck against The Monster Among Men. Roman Reigns also took the time to congratulate Seth Rollins on his victory last week, claiming that the better man won on the night. The Kingslayer expressed his appreciation for Reigns' words and said that he misses The Shield, because his recent history of tag teams hasn't gone all that well, with Dean Ambrose's untimely injury and Jason Jordan's "unfortunate" mishaps. The Big Dog says that any time Seth Rollins needs him to have his back, he's one call away. The former Shield brothers embrace as Reigns left for his match up next.

Unfortunately, last week's attempt to prove himself to his father fell flat as Jason Jordan was another victim of Braun Strowman's destruction. Hoping for another opportunity to make Kurt Angle proud, Jason Jordan took on the former World Champion, Roman Reigns. But The Big Dog was not going to feel any remorse for the young superstar and slashed Jordan's hopes of making a statement with a thunderous Spear for the victory.

Roman Reigns redeemed his loss from last week to Seth Rollins and looked forward to the future, looking up at the WrestleMania sign and nodding his head. Rightly so, Michael Cole questioned where The Big Dog's Road to WrestleMania will take him, but all we can do is wait and see.

The General Manager of Raw has not had the best of luck with his signing of Ronda Rousey, and it didn't look to be getting any better. With the former UFC competitor set to appear on this week's edition of Raw, Stephanie McMahon once again unleashed an angry rant on the Hall of Famer, bursting into his office. The Billionaire Baroness called Angle a fool for going through with his invitation to Ronda Rousey and promised that the Olympic Gold Medalist would regret the very day he decided to disobey her direct orders. Stephanie McMahon left with a face full of rage, Kurt Angle looking on with an uncertain expression.

Over the last few weeks, the Raw Tag Team Champions have certainly proved themselves as deserving holders of the titles, defeating Titus Worldwide at WWE Elimination Chamber, and then knocking off the first-ever SmackDown Tag Team Champions, Heath Slater and Rhyno last week. The Celtic Warrior and The Swiss Superman took to the ring to address their recent success and gave the WWE Universe a brief insight into their superiority as Raw Tag Team Champions.

Claiming to be the greatest tag team in the history of the WWE, Sheamus and Cesaro ran down the list of teams that have fell before them, including The Hardy Boys, The New Day, Titus Worldwide and then going on to say they've beaten "Seth Rollins and anyone" with a chuckle. Their remark towards The Kingslayer drew some negativity from the WWE Universe, but Sheamus continued to demean the former World Champion, much to the dismay of the Wisconsin crowd.

The Bar declared that as nobody is worthy of challenging them for the Raw Tag Team Championships, they simply plan to enter WrestleMania as Champions and officially declare themselves as the greatest tag team in history on The Grandest Stage of Them All. Because they don't raise the bar, they are The Bar!

The Irresistible Force took her loss in the first-ever Women's Elimination Chamber Match to heart, and has been on a tear ever since. Last week, Nia Jax demolished former Women's Champion, Mickie James with an aggressive display. This week, the dominant Jax was able to defeat Paige, despite the presence of her Absolution allies at ringside. Taking Sonya Devill and Mandy Rose off the apron with double clothesline, Nia Jax caught a superkick attempt by The Raven-Haired Renegade and planted her with a Samoan Drop for the victory.

The domination continues as Nia Jax defeats yet another Raw superstar on the Road to WrestleMania. Can anyone stop the monstrous Jax as she continues her warpath through the women's locker room?

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">Bray Wyatt issues an invitation to "Woken" Matt Hardy to pay a visit to The Wyatt Compound next week</div>

When The Great War began between "Woken" Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt, the WWE Universe were sucked into a battle across time and space between two unorthodox combatants fighting for their own beliefs. But according to The Eater of Worlds - it's not over. Bray Wyatt interrupted the regular broadcast of Monday Night Raw to issue a statement, confirming that his bitter rivalry with The Woken One was far from done, and spoke of business that Sister Abigail still had to attend to. The Face of Fear revealed that he may be down, but he isn't out, and he still intends on ending Matt Hardy once and for all.

Making a sinister challenge, Bray Wyatt invited his Woken nemesis to join him next week on Raw for the fight to end it all. The Eater of Worlds extended an invitation to Matt Hardy for him to come to The Wyatt Compound for what he called The Final Battle. The Wyatt Compound hasn't been seen since Randy Orton took a match to it one year ago, but Bray Wyatt confirmed that he had "rebuilt the shrine of Sister Abigail" and it will play host to The Final Battle between him and "Woken" Matt Hardy.

Speaking of The Woken One, Matt Hardy intervened in Wyatt's broadcast and responded with his own maniacal laugh, gladly accepting the challenge for next week and promising to bring a fitting end to Bray Wyatt, Sister Abigail and his entire entity. Matt Hardy claimed to remember The Wyatt Compound from some years ago, claiming to know its weakness and promises to bring it to the ground once more, and this time, that's how it will stay.

Bray Wyatt returned to the scene and gave a guarantee to Matt Hardy and the WWE Universe that he would close the Woken eyes of Matt Hardy next week, and go onto WrestleMania with the power of Matt Hardy in his possession. Matt Hardy responds by informing Bray Wyatt that he will "delete" him next week, and cause him to face into the realm of "obsolete". And finally, The Eater of Worlds leaves us with one final message - "Run!" - laughing hysterically into the darkness.

The Monster Among Men has been experiencing some mysterious issues the last couple of weeks, starting at WWE Elimination Chamber. Still trying to get to the bottom of it all, Braun Strowman has been interrogating everyone he can get his hands on. But his opponent this week wasn't about to be interrogated by anyone, and Seth Rollins took the fight to the big man in the main event. The Kingslayer looked to become The Giant Slayer as he took on Strowman one-on-one, but when the monstrous superstar began unleashing his brute force and looked ready to finish Rollins off, another unexplained event sent the main event into pure chaos.

A fiery explosion filled the arena, flames pouring from the ring posts as the arena was plummeted into darkness. The WWE Universe were as confused as anyone, but no more confused than Braun Strowman himself. When the lights returned to normal, The Monster Among Men found himself alone in the ring, Seth Rollins nowhere to be found, and smoke beginning to engulf his feet. "What's going on?!" bellowed Strowman as he looked for answers around the ring.

An answer came in the form of another descent into darkness, followed by the LED banner on the stage jolting into action and displaying what can only be described as the eyes of the dead. Indeed, the whites of the eyes were synonymous with only one man, and the WWE Universe knew exactly who they belonged to, as the arena became unglued. The Monster Among Men stormed up the aisle and out of the arena as the eyes on the stage closed and the iconic sound of the bell toll echoed throughout the building.

Braun Strowman may have somehow awoken the dead, and it may have been the biggest mistake he has ever made.

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">Ronda Rousey's address is crashed by Stephanie McMahon as Triple H returns to deliver a shocking Pedigree to Kurt Angle</div>

To the dismay of Stephanie McMahon, Kurt Angle once again invited Ronda Rousey back to the WWE, and this time specifically, to appear live on Raw. The General Manager of Raw made his way to the ring with what looked to be a nervous expression on his face, but nonetheless, he continued with his plan and welcomed "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey to Raw with open arms. The former UFC competitor arrived to a standing ovation from the WWE Universe, welcomed with a handshake from the Hall of Famer. Looking around the ring, Rousey became emotional, but knew that she needed to address her status within the WWE and began to speak. But before the first word had barely left her lips, the sound of Stephanie McMahon's theme song ruined the moment and The Billionaire Baroness made her way to the ring with a face like thunder.

Kurt Angle took the brunt of Stephanie's rage, calling the Olympic Gold Medalist a "useless waste of space" and likening him to a "disobedient child" before turning her attention to the woman of the moment, Ronda Rousey. Not mincing her words, The Queen of Queens informed Ronda Rousey that she was not welcome her on Monday Night Raw, she was not welcome here in the WWE, and she was not welcome anywhere near her or her family. Stephanie McMahon gave a harsh warning to the former UFC combatant, telling her to get out of her ring before she had to have her escorted out of the building. But The Rowdy One had heard enough, slapping the microphone out of Stephanie's hands to the shock of the Raw Commissioner.

"Who the hell do you think you're talking to?" responded Rousey, to the delight of the WWE Universe. But her act of rebellion cause Stephanie to lash out in anger, slapping Rousey across the face! Eyes widened all around the arena, and even Kurt Angle put his hand over his mouth, realising that Stephanie may have just made a huge mistake. As Rousey looked back up at the Commissioner, Stephanie soon realised her error, and quickly began to apologise to the former UFC Champion. But the damage had been done, and Ronda Rousey grabbed the arm of The Billionaire Baroness who began screaming for help. Kurt Angle tried to diffuse the situation, but things were about to get a whole lot worse.

Triple H shocked everyone by emerging from the stage and storming his way to the ring. Stepping between his wife and Ronda Rousey, he acted as a barrier between the two before pointing his finger in Ronda's face, warning her never to lay her hands on his wife again. As Triple H and Kurt Angle stood diffusing the situation, The Game suddenly made a horrifying move - kicking Kurt Angle in the gut and dropping him with a thunderous Pedigree! The WWE Universe looked on in shock as Triple H ushered his wife out of the ring and left the Raw General Manager laying. Ronda Rousey checked on the fallen Hall of Famer as the power couple left ringside with furious expressions. Monday Night Raw came to an unbelievable close, Triple H having given Kurt Angle a physical punishment for his controversial decision to bring Ronda Rousey to Raw.</div>
