Cruiserweight Match for the WCW Cruiserweight Title

The 19-year old prodigy and the crazed sheik amaze the crowd and get them buzzing with flashy aerial spots and spectacular bumps.

 

Sabu hits a Springboard Legdrop on Wright while Chris Cruise puts over Sabu as one insane character who’s the nephew of the Original Sheik.

 

Sabu Ranas Wright to the floor and keeps him on the floor with a Baseball Slide followed by a Flip Dive. On the floor, Sabu sets up a chair to run and dive on Wright up against the guardrail, but Wright moves and Sabu flies into the railing.

 

 

 

Back inside, Wright Missile Dropkicks Sabu back out on the floor. This time Wright keeps Sabu on the floor with a Baseball Slide and hits him with a no-hands Plancha! Wright stops Sabu up on top for a Superplex!

 

Sabu reverses a Corner Whip on Wright and delivers a Springboard Leg Lariat. Wright back flips over Sabu out of the corner and gives him a German Suplex for 1-2-NO!

 

 

 

Wright heads up top, but gets crotched for a fast Roll Up to the canvas for 1-2-3.

 

 

 

In a energetic Cruiserweight bout that had jaw-dropping high-flying and fast-paced moves, Sabu defeated 19-year old prodigy "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright in 15:13 by pinfall with a fast Roll Up. Sabu wins the WCW Cruiserweight title.

Singles Match w/ Retirement vs. Valet Stipulation

The Booty Man vs. Paul Orndorff w/ Toni

 

Orndorff's valet, Toni is carrying a mirror to the ring so that "Mr. Wonderful" can watch himself as he makes his entrance.

 

If Paul Orndorff wins, The Booty Man is forced to leave WCW; but if The Booty Man wins, he gets a date with Toni.

 

 

 

The two wrestlers entertain the crowd with a cartoony WWF-style match, to give the fans a breather before hitting them with more exciting matches.

 

 

 

"Mr. Wonderful" is known for is physique and athleticism. He is very heelish in his way, and played-up his superior physique bullying his smaller opponent around.

 

 

 

The Paula chants are loud during the match.

 

 

 

Toni gets in the way and Orndorff is trapped in a quick Roll Up as he tries not to bump into Toni.

 

 

 

Now Toni’s has to go on a date with The Booty Man. Toni gets yelled at by a furious "Mr. Wonderful".

 

In a decent match, The Booty Man defeated Paul Orndorff in 8:19 by pinfall with a fast Roll Up.

We rewind to the pre-show where Eric Bischoff is interviewing Nick Bockwinkel.

Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel is just about to make a major announcement concerning The Warrior and Vader, when the unstoppable 450 pound monster heel Vader also known as the "Rocky Mountain Horror" got impatient and stormed the set.

 

He shoved Bischoff aside and roughed up Commissioner Bockwinkel.

 

 

 

 

The Warrior made the save and beat Vader down with a steel chair.

 

A hard-hitting pull-apart brawl ensued between the two powerhouse workers.

Sting, Roddy Piper, The Steiner Brothers and Jim Duggan ran out to pull The Warrior away and Vader went after him with a chair until security got in the way.

The Steiner Brothers vs. Harlem Heat

 

Crowd's hot and the match has a ton of energy and drama!

 

The Steiner Brothers and Harlem Heat are two of the best tag teams in the World at the moment.

 

The Steiners uses a wide array of Suplexes to dominate their opponents, while Harlem Heat counters with several fluid double-team moves that electrifies the crowd.

 

In a bout that had sensational wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, The Steiner Brothers drew with Harlem Heat in 15:43 following a double count out.

After the match an argument breaks out between The Steiner Brothers and Harlem Heat, and before long it has descended into a wild chaotic brawl between the tag teams, which has to be pulled apart by a number of officials and other wrestlers before they kill each other.

 

"Steiners, we comin' for You, Suckaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

Parking Lot Brawl

Konnan vs. Bunkhouse Buck

 

The match is intentionally chaotic, full with gimmicky spots and weapons.

 

Any scrub unlucky enough to find himself in the ring facing Bunkhouse Buck is likely to end up hog-tied, strangled, or sprayed with tobacco juice to add insult to injury once the brutal squash is over. Buck is a brutal, sadistic rule breaker.

 

"The Mexican Hulk Hogan" Konnan is a very athletic and powerful wrestler.

 

"Yo yo yo let me speak on dis! Orale! Arriba la Raza! We are los vatos locos forever, man! We bout it bout it and rowdy rowdy!"

 

It's a no-nonsense, take-no-prisoners brawl and the crowd gets jacked for it!

 

The dirty 'n' mean Bunkhouse Buck ran roughshod over his opponent, then punished, tortured, and humiliated him, because he's a punk that deserves it.

 

Konnan fought back in kind, destroying Bunkhouse Buck with his own Cowbell after a great comeback segment.

 

Konnan eventually won the match.

 

In a hard-hitting slugfest, Konnan defeated Bunkhouse Buck in a Parking Lot Brawl match in 14:22 by pinfall after hitting Buck with his own Cowbell.

Fire and Ice w/ Teddy Long vs. The Super Assassins w/ Jimmy Hart

 

The Super Assassins are two of the most awesome, massive, and powerful grapplers ever to enter the squared-circle. The two gargantuan monster heels usually runs roughshod over all his opponents in brutal, old school, squash job fashion.

 

Scott "Flash" Norton is a veritable megastar in the Far East. One of the hugest and strongest men in the history of pro wrestling. His tag team partner Ice Train is a charismatic catlike powerhouse. Together the powerhouse duo have been an "Unstoppable Force". They are stronger and they hit harder than every other tag team in WCW.

 

The four powerhouse workers are displaying their incredible power by destroying each other.

 

In a powerhouse vs. powerhouse dream match, Fire and Ice defeated The Super Assassins II in 10:14 when Super Assassin #1 was counted out while fighting Scott Norton.

 

It was a a hard-fought victory for Fire and Ice.
