Of course, it doesn't really feel like a cup without Corny -- is he with the 'fed full-time by now? I'm sure Hogan would love to win some more gold with Ed Leslie. It'd be one last prestigious championship the Hulkster hasn't got a crack at yet.</div></blockquote> Corny have PPV contracts with SMW and WWF, but has strong dislike relationship with Bischoff. Actually the thought of a Jim Crockett Cup-style event has crossed my mind, since i'm looking to bring back a few classic WCW/NWA gimmick matches and similar things. Maybe a hybrid of Crockett Cup and Pat O'Connor Memorial International Tag Team Tournament would work to showcase both WCW top tag team as well as international tag teams. Both Spring Stampede and Slamboree will feature some classic good ol' WCW gimmick matches, since i want to offer something unique that WWF doesn't.

WCW Uncensored is in the books! The Uncensored PPV was hyped as being more violent and adult-oriented. World Championship Wrestling held Uncensored last night in Houston Astrodome in Texas, and drew 50,000 fans. The feedback has been incredible, the show was apparently an absolute success as Uncensored got a Pay-Per-View buy rate of 0.98 which is a new record for WCW, beating the Starrcade buy rate of 0.93.

"The Badd Man" Johnny B. Badd leaves WCW, after losing the Loser Leaves WCW Match at Uncensored. After leaving WCW, he immediately signed a contract with the World Wrestling Federation, and is expected to begin competing under his real name since WCW has acquired the rights to the Johnny B. Badd name. Word is that Marc Mero left WCW because he strongly objected to a proposed angle involving Diamond Doll and Diamond Dallas Page.

Jim Ross unsuccessfully attempts to ink All Japan’s Johnny Ace, formerly of WCW, to a WWF contract. Instead Johnny Ace surpringsly signed a PPV contract with Extreme Championship Wrestling so that he still can continue touring with All Japan.

A TV station in Phoenix ran an investigative story about people who had taken out student loans and then defaulted on them. One of those people was James Hellwig (The Ultimate Warrior). He has student loans of $80,000 to attend a chiropractic school in Atlanta which he never graduated from and then defaulted on the loans, which with interest are now more than $120,000. The story noted that those debts are being passed on to taxpayers while The Ultimate Warrior has made millions of dollars in wrestling, paid cash for his $800,000 home, and spent half a million $ opening a gym, but hasn't ever paid off his student loans.

WWF is planning to drastically reduce the number of house shows they run and instead focus on PPV. As Pay-Per-Views is where the real money is at right now.

By increasing the number of PPVs and increasing the costs, WCW and WWF run the risk of over-saturating the market and the PPV distributors might be wary of giving an unproven wrestling group a chance. This might hurt AAA's or ECW's chances of running future PPVs of their own. The 4 new WWF PPVs, starting with In Your Home, will be cheaper and shorter than normal PPVs and WWF is planning to make a distinction so that fans know that these mini-PPVs aren't the same as the traditional Big Five PPVs.

At the latest WWF tapings, they did a pull-apart brawl between Kama "The Supreme Fighting Machine" and football player Steve "Mongo" McMichael who was there doing commentary on a match as part of the build-up to the Kama vs. Lawrence Taylor match at Wrestlemania.

Kama and Lawrence Taylor both appeared on Howard Stern's show prior to Wrestlemania in a long 45 minute interview.

Word is Shawn Michaels will win the King of the Ring tournament in June and given a major push as WWF World title contender in 1996.

WWF is interested in signing Erik Watts. Actually, it's more like Jim Ross is pushing for them to hire him.

Viewers Choice is offering a $49.95 special that gets you the upcoming Wrestlemania 11, plus you can watch all 10 previous Wrestlemanias as well. WWF advertising for this package deal says, "See Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan in their prime!"

At the latest WWF Monday Night Raw tapings Pamela Anderson filmed a promo with Shawn Michaels, where the blonde bombshell acts like she doesn't want to be around him.

"Ravishing" Rick Rude is rumoured to sign a contract with ECW to be part of Paul Heyman's new Dangerous Alliance. If Rude signs with ECW, expect him to get some major heel heat in Philly when removing his robe while insulting the males in the crowd and calling them "fat", "out of shape" and "sweathogs". Rude has been out of action due to a back injury and is expected to return to wrestling in April, joining Sid Vicious, Roddy Piper, John Tenta and The Road Warriors as the available major multimillion-dollar free agents.

Stan Hansen and Kenta Kobashi began their first reign as AJPW Unified World Tag Team champions last night, when they took the titles away from Akira Taue and The Viking.

The inevitable happened last night, as Mid American Wrestling officially announced their closure. The financially stricken company out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin has had mounting debts for some months, and were finally forced to admit that they could not recover. The owner Carmine DeSpirito will instead focus on his role as an manager in Windy City Pro Wrestling.

At the latest WWF tapings Zip (Paul Roma) of The Bodydonnas spreaded rumours about road agent Jack Lanza which almost lead to a fist fight between the two.

Sherri Martel is dating Marty Jannetty, according to the wrestling grapevine. It is understood that they had kept it a secret from even their friends, but that they were caught red-handed in the act backstage during the latest WWF tapings.

If rumours are to be believed, there is some bad blood between GWF and USWA. Apparently the two owners Grey Pierson and Jerry Jarrett, have made it clear that the other promotion is "the enemy" and are to be treated as such.

Salt N' Peppa will accompany Lawrence Taylor to the ring at Wrestlemania, performing their song, "Whatta Man." Salt N' Peppa's business manager is a man named Darryl Brooks, who is also the American promoter that books AAA shows in the U.S.

WWF star Owen Hart has chosen to relocate and now resides in the South East region of U.S.A. Various websites reports that Owen Hart is returning to WCW when his contract expires.

Word is that Dustin Rhodes and Dusty Rhodes recently have had a series of loud disagreements in the offices of WCW. More news as we get it.

At the latest WWF Monday Night Raw tapings, rock star Tommy Lee turned up so drunk that he had to be sent home.

Former WCW blue chipper Jean-Paul Levesque is expected to debut in WWF as Hunter Hearst Helmsley, which is a modified version of his gimmick in WCW. The "Connecticut Blueblood" has taped vignettes, in which he talks about how to use proper etiquette, up until his wrestling debut.

Savage looks for the Top Rope Elbow Drop, but Flair bails to the floor and wants to talk to Mean Gene on the floor. Savage tells him to get his ass in the ring. Back in the ring they brawl before making the tag to their partners. Brian Pillman flies around all over the place. Pillman and Austin have a terrific brawl that goes to the outside where "Superstar" Steve Austin attempts a Piledriver on the concrete, but Pillman backdrops out of it. Austin tries to bail so Pillman teases a top rope move, but Austin drops back. Pillman instead leaps up mid-rope and hits a Moonsault out to the floor! Austin is reeling, and then Pillman rushes into the crowd by the exit and leaps off the balcony with a Flying Clothesline. Pillman actually leaped off a balcony and dove onto Steve Austin on the floor. The announcers are shocked by what just happened! Pillman rolls Austint back into the ring and tries to end it with a top rope Diving Crossbody, with Flair then attacking Pillman from behind with a Nature Boy specialty the low blow. Flair grabbed the advantage with a brutal Suplex throwing Pillman over the rope for a DQ. In a bout that had sensational wrestling and fantastic heat, "Macho" Randy Savage and "Loose Cannon" Brian Pillman defeated "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "Superstar" Steve Austin in 20:04 when Ric Flair intentionally got disqualified by throwing Pillman over the rope. It's a hard-hitting powerhouse vs. powerhouse dream match as the four massive power grapplers collide in the ring. The champions Fire and Ice defeated The Super Assassins II in 6:12 when The Super Assassins intentionally got disqualified by throwing Scott "Flash" Norton over the top rope. Fire and Ice make defence number 4 of their WCW World Tag Team Championship titles.

WCW World Heavyweight Title Match

Ray Traylor vs. Vader w/ Harley Race

Brutal Power moves, hard-hitting clotheslines and clubbering offense ensured that both men left the battle feeling like they'd been hit by trucks. In a hard-hitting brawl, but highly entertaining brawl, "Rocky Mountain Horror" Vader defeated lawman turned vigilante Ray "The Law" Traylor in 16:21 by pinfall with a Triple Powerbomb. Vader makes defence number 2 of his WCW World Heavyweight Championship title.

Rating: 89 A</div>

Multimillion-dollar free agent Sid Vicious has signed with WWF and joined The Million Dollar Corporation at WrestleMania XI to feud with The Undertaker. He will be working under the name Sycho Sid.

Dustin Rhodes leaves WCW, for WWF. Word is Dustin Runnels, wants a separate identity from his father and has a ongoing family feud with Dusty. Reliable sources claim that Dustin Rhodes's relationship with his father is on the outs since some point in 1994. The stories on why change back and fourth. Expect Dustin Rhodes to debut in WWF when his non-compete clause expires.

Mexican promotion AAA has folded, but the promotion will continue. It's a complicated story but basically, the parent company of AAA is Televisa and they have been hit hard by the Mexican economic crisis and there are massive layoffs taking place and they dropped AAA as a promotion. AAA still exists as its own company now, no longer owned by Televisa. So expect budget cuts in AAA and more of their stars joining the WCW Cruiserweight Division full time, but at least AAA president Antonio Pena now has full control to make creative and business decisions, which he didn't have when they were under Televisa.

WCW's planned UFC-type ripoff event that they were putting together with K-1 in Japan looks to have fallen apart. Due to cable deadlines, they won't be able to do it in June as planned and now the next earliest available date would be in September, but that's considered unlikely to happen now too because of the much hyped return of Hulk Hogan and a possible WarGames match between Team Hogan and The Stud Stable that could be a potential money maker for WCW.

Dallas wrestler John Hawk did a WAR show in Japan using the name Death Mask which was a complete Undertaker rip-off gimmick, much like Brian Lee (The Underfaker) did in WWF last year.

There's been a lot of talk about the future of SMW lately. It's no secret that the promotion is basically surviving hand-to-mouth and with so many of their up-and-coming wrestlers (Boo Bradley, Brian Lee, Chris Candido, Devon Storm, Eddie Gilbert and Dirty White Boy) leaving recently to join rivals Extreme Championship Wrestling, while key veterans (Dick Slater and Dory Funk Jr.) still is injured and spot shows not drawing well, it's causing a lot of concern.

Del Wilkes is released and leaves WCW. The bodybuilding legend and pro wrestling star has signed with WWF and is expected to continuing as his masked , heroic alter ego "The Patriot" when his non-compete clause expires!

The Comfort Inn hotel next to the airport in Philadelphia has long been the unofficial hotel for ECW, because Tod Gordon had an excellent relationship with the management there. But after a series of disturbances, the hotel is no longer working with ECW or allowing wrestlers to stay there.

Dr. Zahorian was released from prison after serving about 3 years and is now attempting to get his medical license back. In a newspaper story, Zahorian described his prison stay as "worse than hell" and claims he was led astray and used by those in the wrestling business.

The Booty Man returns to WCW after taking time off for his honeymoon vacation. Fans can expect "The Original Assman" back on TV very soon.

Eric Bischoff decided to cut loses in WCW and as such, several corporate shakeups have taken place. The Blacktop Bully, Vic Steamboat, Scott Putski, Badd Company (Pat Tanaka and Paul Diamond), Magnum T.A., Jim Barnett, Don Sandifer, and Bob Dhue are all no longer with WCW. Word is that this won't be the last of the budget cuts and expect more heads to roll, on both the corporate side and the wrestlers side.

Sabu doesn't seem to be having luck with indie show crowds. After being maced by a fan a few weeks ago, another fan threw a brick at him this week during a show.

Veteran Rick Martel leaves WWF after losing the Loser Leaves WWF match against Lex Luger at WrestleMania XI. It is not clear where Martel ends up, but it is expected that we will hear announcements very soon.

TV Guide's "Cheers & Jeers" column ripped Gene Okerlund over the 900 Hotline "dead former champion" tease from a few weeks ago.

It turns out that Vince McMahon personally wrote a letter to Ted Turner about the "dead former champion" hotline tease, basically telling Turner that he should fold WCW, because the Okerlund thing and the resulting negative coverage in the media.

Big John Studd passed away this week after a 17-month battle with Hodgkins lymphoma.

Bill Shaw has been replaced as the new head of TBS Sports by a guy named Harvey Schiller. His role is more of an overseer and he won't be very hands on when it comes to making decisions, so the major decisions will still be made by Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan.

AAA wrestler Scorpio Jr. apparently has a hereditary issue that makes him acne prone. He's super roided up, which makes it even worse and because of all this, his back is "zit city" and when he takes bumps, the zits pop and the blood streams down his back and all over the ring.

There was an interesting incident at the latest ECW show. After a match, Sabu and manager Paul Heyman began challenging anyone to come out and face Sabu. Well the crowd started chanting for a large, 400-pound fan in the front row and it picked up enough steam that it almost looked like the fan was going to jump the rail. Sabu and Heyman were egging the fan on, but he was being held back by other wrestlers and Tod Gordon. After everyone went back to the dressing room, Tod Gordon brought the fan into the ring and put him over with the crowd and gave him some free merch to diffuse the situation. Sabu was in the locker room and reportedly wanted to do a run-in on the fan, but was talked out of it.

A week ago, a Phoenix TV station did a story about The Ultimate Warrior defaulting on his student loans, despite being rich. The Warrior was interviewed by the news station this week and said he was tired of being harassed since the story aired and said he would repay the loans.

Erik Watts did another tryout at the latest WWF tapings this week. Jim Ross is really pushing for them to hire him.

Herb Abrams debt-ridden UWF were last night forced to tap out as the pressure of a financial stranglehold finally became too much to bear. The company has been through a very rough patch, with its death having been predicted for several months now by insiders. Abrams founded the UWF in 1990 with hopes of returning Pro Wrestling back to its roots. He signed top stars as Paul Orndorff, Steve Williams, Don Muraco, Bob Orton Jr, Brian Blair, Dan Spivey, Billy Jack Haynes, Ken Patera, Colonel DeBeers, David Sammartino and Cactus Jack, but struggled to compete with WWF and WCW.

American Maurice Smith began his first reign as Rings Middleweight champion, when he won the match against German Ralf Seeger to decide a worthy champion for the previously vacant title.

Dave Schultz claims belt! The vacant Rings Openweight title was claimed, as Dave Schultz defeated Tom Howard to win the title.

New Champion in USWA! The vacant USWA World Heavyweight title was claimed, as veteran Koko B. Ware became the new champion defeating Doug Gilbert. This victory marks his third reign with the belt. The belt was vacated when Sid Vicious left USWA for WWF.

Riku Choshu began his fourth reign as IWGP World Heavyweight champion last night, when he took the title away from Masahiro Chono at NJPW Fight For Freedom I. Masahiro Chono managed ten successful title defences prior to this defeat.

NJPW held their annual Young Lions Cup, and with three successful wins it was Yuji Nagata who claimed the victory. Nagata defeated Naoki Sano, Satoshi Kojima and finally Akitoshi Saito.

WCW signs local wrestler Glenn Gilberti! He has wrestled on the Georgia independent circuit, where he is best known for his time with Great Championship Wrestling where he won several titles. He also have short stints with the World Wrestling Federation and the United States Wrestling Association in 1992. Recently Gilberti has been one of the rising stars of Jimmy Hart's and Greg Valentine's Xcitement Wrestling Federation and is a XWF Cruiserweight champion under the alias Disco Inferno.

British Bulldog, Jeff Jarrett and Shawn Michaels are pushed as future main eventers; while Ahmed Johnson, Kama, Hakushi, The New Blackjacks, The Can-Am Express, The Smoking Gunns, The Bodydonnas and Waylon Mercy are pushed as Upper Midcarders. Meanwhile workers like Bastion Booger, The Bushwhackers, Doink The Clown, King Kong Bundy and Typhoon have been phased out.

At the latest WWF Monday Night Raw tapings, rock star Tommy Lee once again turned up so drunk that he had to be sent home.

Legend "Bullet" Bob Armstrong Armstrong trained each of his sons to wrestle, and formed tag teams with them in the 1980s and 1990s. The Stud Stable is a collective of hired guns and of badass wrestlers managed led by Col. Robert Parker and Harley Race after the merger with Harley Race International. They rule the World by kicking the asses of anyone who gets in their way. Their reputation as a badass is considered "Off The Scale". They are rivals to The Rhodes, The Armstrongs and Hulk Hogan and his allies.</div>

Harlem Heat try to get the heat on Brad Armstrong, but Armstrong is resilient and tries a few combination pins to throw them off their game and manages to make the tag to "White Lightning" Tim Horner who has a fantastic workhorse segment with Bodyslams, Dropkicks and even clears house and Harlem Heat reconvene on the outside. Armstrong eventually gets worked over for a while and rolls out of the way of a Harlem Hangover to make the hot tag. "White Lightning" Tim Horner goes crazy again with fast-paced offense. Armstrong and Booker T get into a punching match. Stevie Ray picks up Horner to Press Slam him into Armstrong, but Horner turns it into a Sleeper Hold Stevie Ray. Booker T disposes of Armstrong and Stevie Ray bends down with Horner still hanging on with the Sleeper. In a energetic Cruiserweight bout that had high-flying and fast-paced moves, "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright and Jushin Thunder Liger drew with Super Liger and Dean Malenko in 20:00 when the time limit expired.

This was all about wrestling Takedowns, Suplexes and Leg Trips. In a technical bout, Swedish amateur wrestling legend and multiple World champion Frank Andersson defeated the Irish journeyman Dave Finlay in a European Cup Quarter Final match in 8:19 by submission with an Ankle Lock.

Brian Pillman vs. Ric Flair w/ Elizabeth

In a open bout that had superb wrestling and good heat, Brian Pillman drew with Ric Flair in an Iron Man (30 Mins) match in 30:00 at one fall each. During the match we also had Steve Austin run in and attack Brian Pillman.
