ECW Wrestlepalooza report! ECW held Wrestlepalooza last night, and drew 8,269 fans. The feedback has been that the show was awesome. The star of the show was Rocco Rock that defeated The Killdozer for Hire in the semi main event of the evening. In the main event, Chris Candido defeated Johnny Grunge to retain the ECW World Heavyweight title. The ECW World Television title changed hands last night, as Stevie Richards became the new champion, ending the reign of Jason Knight after three title defences.

Expect major changes in ECW in the next few weeks, with rumors that there have been offers for people to buy into the company. There have been heavy rumours of a planned spending spree by the now Cult size ECW, who are looking to expand into new markets in order to capitalise on their recent momentum. Some of the finest free agents around are said to be on their shopping list, and fans are already exciting over the prospect of new blood debuting soon.

Vader appeared on the tv show "Boy Meets World" this week.

All verifiable pro wrestling attendance records were shattered after the two Collision In Korea shows put on by Antonio Inoki, NJPW, and the North Korean government drew a total of 340,000 people. The first show drew a reported 150,000, while the show the following night drew 165,000. Both shows were broadcast live on TV throughout North Korea. The previous record was of course, Andre The Giant vs. Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania 3. Antonio Inoki beat Ric Flair in the main event, in a spot that was originally offered to Hulk Hogan, but he turned it down since he is busy filming season two of the tv show Thunder in Paradise. The Road Warriors, The Steiner Brothers, Chris Benoit, Scott Norton and 2 Cold Scorpio also worked the shows. Boxing legend Muhammad Ali was ringside both nights. The show got worldwide media coverage through outlets like Reuters and CNNs.

1-2-3 Kid suffered a broken neck at the latest WWF tapings and his career may be in jeopardy. The exact injury is a cracked cervical vertebrae. 1-2-3 Kid first saw one doctor who told him his career is over, but a second doctor was more optimistic and word is that he'll probably miss 2-3 months and return to the ring.

Former ECW World Television champion Lucifer Payne has left ECW and joined Otto Wanz Catch Wrestling Assocation as Buffalo Peterson.

All Japan saw a title change last night, as the previously vacant AJPW All Asia Tag Team titles was won by Kamala and Takao Omori by defeating Richard Slinger and Jim Steele. The title was previously held by Mighty Inoue and Tamon Honda; and was recently vacated when Mighty Inoue received a long-term injury.

AJPW and NJPW are engaged in a bidding war for Japanese superstar Mitsuharu Misawa.

The new Hunter Hearst Helmsley character in WWF is at the center of some controversy. Immediately after his debut, WCW sent WWF a cease & desist order, claiming Hunter Hearst Helmsley is trademark infringement on the "Blueblood" character they own and that the character is a blatant carbon copy of Steve Regal's current WCW character.

"Bullett" Bob Armstrong has announced that he is to retire from active competition in three months' time. Friends indicate that the 57 year old is looking forward to starting a new career behind the scenes.

About the Sabu vs. ECW situation, where a lot of people seem to be on Sabu's side and says that Paul Heyman and Tod Gordon have a lot of nerve to talk about integrity and honesty after the way they screwed over the NWA last year. A lot of people also criticizing the ECW fans for chanting "**** Sabu" after everything he'd done for the promotion. Wrestling expert Dave Meltzer comes to ECW's defense and notes that Heyman had no choice, but to fire Sabu because not only did Sabu double-book himself and know about it well in advance, but he still lied and told Heyman that he would make the ECW show when he knew he wasn't going to.

Ken Shamrock will face Dan Severn in the UFC 6 main event. Dan Severn is the NWA World Heavyweight champion, while Ken Shamrock is a megastar in Pancrase. Pancrase Hybrid Wrestling seems to be a mixture of shoot and work, with the upper-card and main event matches clearly works, but the lower-card matches seeming to be legit shoot fights.

Pancrase Hybrid Wrestling held Pancrase 19 in Hiratsuka City Gymnasium, and drew 3,514 fans. The feedback has been that the show was awesome. In the main event Masakatsu Funaki defeated UFC star Ken Shamrock to retain the King Of Pancrase title.

A company called Semaphore Entertainment Group now owns 100% of UFC after buying out the other 50% owners.

The Sheik suffered a heart attack this week in Tokyo. He has since returned home and is doing okay, though one has to question why someone who's near 70 is still wrestling and what company is still willing to book him?

Freddie Blassie also suffered a heart attack last week and underwent a triple bypass surgery.

In SMW, they did an angle where there was a cage match and Unabomb (Glenn Jacobs) hid under the ring all day and then tore a hole in the bottom of the ring and came up through it and attacked The Rock 'n' Roll Express by giving them Chokeslams. Glenn Jacobs is better known as Dr. Isaac Yankem, Jerry Lawler's private dentist in WWF.

Eric Bischoff was in Japan for NJPW's Fukuoka Dome show and stuck around after to attend a K-1 kickboxing show. After the show, Bischoff reportedly closed a deal to air a K-1 PPV in September, produced by WCW.

Insiders claim that Arn Anderson may be turning babyface soon and feuding with Ric Flair.

Bobby "The Brain" Heenan made a major push to have WCW induct him into their Hall of Fame at Slamboree.

Paul Wight will possibly be making his WCW debut at the upcoming Slamboree PPV. He's being groomed as a new Andre The Giant-type character to feud with Hulk Hogan after the Hulk Hogan vs. Vader angle. Sources confirms that WCW originally planned to send Paul Wight down to USWA, but that didn't happen because WCW didn't quite have Paul Wight signed to a written contract and were afraid to let him go to USWA, because they didn't want WWF to see him and steal him away. Since everyone know Vince McMahon would have signed him the second he laid eyes on him.

Hulk Hogan has an music album coming out soon. Expect the new album called "Hulk Rules" to get a heavy marketing push.

Bam Bam Bigelow has a role in the movie Major Payne that is currently in theaters.

Jim Ross continues to push hard for WWF to bring in Johnny Ace from All Japan. Johnny Ace is currently working for ECW, which also enables him to book dates with AJPW.

WWF tried to get real British royalty, Duchess Ferguson, to present the crown at the upcoming King of the Ring, but she turned it down.

WWF also tried to get Kato Kaelin of O.J. trial fame to participate in a skit at In Your House, but he wasn't interested.

Announcer Bob Caudle leaves the business! He has said goodbye to the wrestling business once and for all. The 65 year old officially retired last night, commenting only that it was time for him to move on to new endeavours.

FMW saw a title change at the FMW Betrayed Tour, as Gosaku and Horace Boulder lost the FMW Brass Knuckles Tag Team titles to Vampiro and The Sandman.

The vacant UWA World Jr. Heavyweight title was claimed, as El Pantera became the new champion. This victory marks his first reign with the belt.

CMLL saw another title change, as Blue Demon and El Dandy lost the CMLL World Tag Team titles to Rayo De Jalisco Jr. and Dos Caras at the latest episode of CMLL Super Viernes.

AAA and WCW have engaged in some business, with The Warrior and Sting being loaned out to AAA for a one-shot appearance on an upcoming show.

The CMLL World Trios titles changed hands at the latest episode of CMLL Super Viernes, as Jaque Mate, Emilio Charles Jr. and El Gran Markus Jr. became the new champions, ending the reign of Mano Negra, Super Astro and Mascarita Sagrada after five title defences.

Marty Jannetty has now returned to WWF from rehab.

Smokey Mountain Wrestling held NWA SMW Volunteer Slam IV in front of 7400 people at ASU Acadome in Alabama. The Dynamic Duo (Al Snow and Unabomb) became the new SMW Tag Team champions by defeating The Armstrongs and The THUGs in a Three Way match after interference from Jim Cornette . While "The Nature Boy" Buddy Landel defeated Larry Zbyszko to retain the SMW Heavyweight title.

The mysterious masked man that has harrassed Buddy Landel and spanked Darling Debbie on SMW TV was unmasked at NWA SMW Volunteer Slam IV. It was "Ravishing" Rick Rude and he attacked SMW champion Buddy Landel by giving him a Rude Awakening and stealing the title belt.

NWA saw another title change, as The Rock 'n' Roll Express lost the NWA World Tag Team titles to Bad Attitude (Bobby Eaton and Steve Keirn) at NWA SMW Volunteer Slam IV.

Fred Avery and Nomad vs. Kevin Sullivan & One Man Gang w/ Woman

Kevin Sullivan has turned beating up jobbers into an art-form. Seriously, nobody can beat the hell out of jobbers like "The Most Evil Man in Professional Wrestling of All Time" can.

Kevin Sullivan did throw his victim to the floor and distract the Referee so that One Man Gang could beat up the poor jobber on the floor.

One Man Gang mercilessly obliteraties the jobber in sadistic, one-sided squash job fashion, before throwing him back into the ring.

The Tree of Woe (running knee with opponent upside down in the corner) followed by the Most Vicious Double Stomp you've ever seen on the Stomach ends the brutal squash.

In an extremely stiff and brutal squash match, Kevin Sullivan & One Man Gang destroyed jobbers Fred Avery and Nomad in 2:08 when Kevin Sullivan defeated Fred Avery by pinfall with The Most Vicious Double Stomp Ever.

Rating: 59 C

The American Males & The Booty Man vs. The Power Company & Paul Orndorff w/ Toni

"Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff and The Power Company ran roughshod over their outmatched opponent using their superior strenght and physique.

In a bout that had decent wrestling and heat, The Booty Man and The American Males defeated Paul Orndorff and The Power Company in 8:27 when Paul Orndorff intentionally got disqualified while fighting The Booty Man by throwing him over the top rope before smashing him over the head with a garbage can.

WCW Security quickly swarms the arena to stop Orndorff from assaulting The Booty Man.

Man, don't mess with "The Nature Boy" he'll get the rest of The Four Horsemen to beat your ass down!

Quinn Nash vs. Bunkhouse Buck

Bunkhouse Buck is a brutal, sadistic rule breaker. Any scrub unlucky enough to find himself in the ring facing Bunkhouse Buck is likely to end up hog-tied, strangled, or sprayed with tobacco juice to add insult to injury once the brutal squash is over.

In squash match, Buck manhandles the jobber with a mix of haymakers, lariats, big boots and a throat first flapjack onto the top rope.

It ends in 4:53 by pinfall with a Piledriver.

After the match the poor jobber is strangled, whipped with the rope and then smashed over the head with the cowbell.

You know he is so Wonderful...

And he knows it too...

Brian Blair vs. Paul Orndorff w/ Toni

Toni is carrying a mirror to the ring so "Mr. Wonderful" can watch himself as he makes his entrance.

Paul Orndorff is very heelish in his way, and played-up his superior physique bullying his opponent around.

Orndorff received several chants of "Paula" from the crowd.

When...

"Booty time, booty time across the U.S.A. It's booty time, booty time...'"

It's The Booty Man, and the subject of his infatuation is, for some reason, his own ass, which he shakes around.

The Booty Man distracts Paul Orndorff when he shakes his ass around while he hits on Toni.

Brian Blair surprises Orndorff with a Roll Up for 1-2!

Blair manages to get some of offense and Orndorff grows frustrated so he beats the shit out of him and ends it with the Piledriver.

In a decent match, Paul Orndorff defeated Brian Blair in 6:20 by pinfall with a Piledriver.

Rating: 74 B-

WCW Security quickly swarms the arena to prevent Orndorff from beat the hell out of "The Original Assman".

Randy Savage vs. Vader Hype Video

GQ0VpeS.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/45vggNh.gifhttp://i.imgur.com/3F928Zc.jpg

A video promoting the feud between Randy Savage and Vader is aired.

Randy Savage will go head to head with champion Vader at Slamboree.

Two superstars in the same ring with the WCW World Heavyweight title on the line.

Randy Savage is the "Best there is... past, present and future!" A short tempered powerhouse known for his never-say-die attitude.

The "Rocky Mountain Horror" is one of the most physical, stiff and intimidating workers in the World. A top draw wherever he has been, Vader has dominated in Japan, Europe, Mexico and the United States. He is one of the greatest big men in wrestling history and despite weighing around 450lbs, he is known to pull off Moonsaults. He is also known for his relentless string of squash matches where he leaves masses of obliterated jobber carnage.

Nikita Koloff, Ron Simmons, Sting, Cactus Jack, Ray Traylor, Hulk Hogan and Joe Thurman all suffered legit injuries at the hands of the "Rocky Mountain Horror".

Can "Macho Man" Randy Savage survive Vader's Pain Game?

The Armstrongs vs. Diamond Fever w/ Diamond Doll

In a bout that had good wrestling but didn't have much heat, Diamond Fever defeated The Armstrongs in 7:55 when Diamond Dallas Page defeated Scott Armstrong by pinfall while using the ropes for leverage.

Diamond Doll hold up the scorecard with 10 points.

GQ0VpeS.jpg

"Macho Man" Randy Savage pops up on the big screen to a huge pop.

"The madness is runnin' wild!"

Vader says there's no way Savage will be able to handle his mass.

Savage says he knows Vader's weight down to the pound but what he has to learn is that in this sport, it's survival of the fittest, not survival of the fattest, for another huge pop. Ohhhhh yeahhhh! Dig it, yeahhhh!

Vader legitimately tries fighting the big screen as Harley drags him off.

I feel bad for missing predictions, but I can definitely say that I enjoyed Slamboree quite a bit! Can't wait to see what you do with Savage vs. Horsemen and Warrior vs. Vader, and I would assume perhaps Sting vs. Bigelow? That one would be fire right there - and not just the flame on Bammer's head!

</p><p><strong>

The AJPW Triple Crown changed hands at the AJPW Deadlock Tour</strong>, as "Big" John Tenta became the new champion, ending the reign of Stan "The Lariat" Hansen after ten title defences. The former WWF and WCW main eventer is currently a huge star in Japan and working for WAR, All Japan and UWFi has really helped Tenta to taken his wrestling skills to the next level.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWF's latest In Your House PPV took place this weekend</strong>. It was decent, but forgettable. Savio Vega debuted, doing a run-in during the Razor Ramon match pretending to be a fan. They also legitimately gave away a house to a fan who was watching the show and won the contest.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AAA launched a new tag team onto the scene</strong>, as Rambo Mendieta and Madonna's Boyfriend were officially announced as being a regular team. They will be working under the name Tough Love, and are expected to get a decent push to begin with.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Mexican National Tag Team titles changed hands at AAA TripleMania</strong>, as Rambo Mendieta and Madonna's Boyfriend became the new champions, ending the reign of Volador and Misterioso after eleven title defences.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWF held their final show at Boston Garden</strong>, bringing in several former old-time headliners like George Steel, Arnold Skaaland, Killer Kowalski, Chief Jay Strongbow, and others. Freddie Blassie was scheduled to appear but didn't due to his recent heart attack. Bruno Sammartino is the all-time biggest draw in the arena and there were several fans with signs for Bruno, but obviously that didn't happen. The legends all gave speeches between each match and they did an angle with Chief Jay Strongbow and Pat Patterson getting into a shoving match and having to be separated by the other legends.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>5 Star match!</strong> It's rare that we see a genuine "five star" match, but last night certainly delivered in a big way when Kenta Kobashi defeated Mitsuharu Misawa at the AJPW Deadlock Tour. The must-see match is bound to feature heavily in the voting for Match Of The Year.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Rey Mistero Jr. seemingly debuts a new, incredible move every week</strong> that no one has ever seen before. Wrestling expert Dave Meltzer calls him the "Human Highlight Reel". </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>In UWA news, it is being reported that Cibernetico has apparently been spoken to by police</strong> after leaving several "threatening" messages for Villano III, head booker of the promotion. The cause of friction between the two is unknown, but insiders have commented that there's a lot of bad blood and that it would not be a surprise if Cibernetico was on his way out of the company soon.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Eddie Guerrero won't be working the New Japan tour in July</strong>, because his wife is scheduled to be giving birth around that time.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Al Snow is one of the most underrated wrestlers in the business</strong>, and is delivering great promos and matches in Smokey Mountain Wrestling together with Unabomb as the tag team The Dynamic Duo, while people with far less talent get big pushes in WWF and WCW. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Wrestling legend Bob Backlund is doing a gimmick in NWA New England claiming he is running for President</strong> and cut a promo about it, full of big, confusing words and getting several historical dates wrong. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Grand Wizard, Antonio Rocca, Fabulous Moolah, Ivan Putski, George Steele, Pedro Morales, and Ernie Ladd</strong> will be inducted into the WWF Hall of Fame next month. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>In a short statement released last night, 66 year old Lord Alfred Hayes announced his decision to leave the business</strong>. He cited his age, and commented that now was a good time to retire so that he could enjoy some peace and quiet away from the public glare of the pro wrestling industry.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>New pictures have emerged showing that "Ravishing" Rick Rude has been working extremely hard in the gym</strong>. Boasting an incredible ripped new physique, the 37 year old is said to be sure that his increased muscularity will have a positive impace on his career. Rick Rude is currently one of the biggest free agent in between the "Big Two" (World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling). Rumours has it that Rude that is currently working a program in NWA Smokey Mountain Wrestling with "The Nature Boy" Buddy Landel is on the shortlists of WWF, All Japan and New Japan.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Crusher is to say farewell to the wrestling industry soon</strong>. The 68 year old officially announced that he plans to retire from the industry soon.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Road Warriors title victory!</strong> The IWGP World Tag Team titles changed hands at the NJPW My Enemy Tour, as The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal) became the new champions, ending the reign of Morning Express (Akitoshi Saito and Kuniaki Kobayashi) after five title defences.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Matt Borne ended weeks of rumours last night</strong>, as a press release on the ECW website revealed that he had signed a contract with them. It is rumoured that he will debut as "Borne Again" a character that is having a mental breakdown after his time in the WWF as a clown and not getting taken seriously in ECW. He will became ‘Borne Again" a wrestler suffering from a split personality with one half of his face painted in Doink makeup, while the other half is his real face. When Borne Again defeats an opponent, he will dress up that wrestler as his previous "Doink The Clown" persona.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>ECW completed the signing of veteran Tom "The Z-Man" Zenk</strong>, as the Cult-size promotion continue to bolster their roster.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pierroth Jr. Began his second reign as CMLL World Middleweight champion</strong>, when he took the title away from Brazo de Oro at the latest episode of CMLL Super Viernes.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>After a intense bidding war between AJPW and NJPW</strong>, All Japan "figurehead" Mitsuharu Misawa announced that he had signed an extension with All Japan, keeping him with the promotion long-term. Losing their Ace would have been a major blow to AJPW.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Ed Leslie began his second reign as XWF Heavyweight champion</strong>, when he took the title away from Nasty Boy Jerry Sags at a XWF House Show.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Iron Sheik will retire and finally making the switch from active competitor to member of staff</strong>. It is currently unknown what role he will be taking, or with whom.</p>

Savage tells Wright tonight was not his night, because he is going take out Ric Flair. Savage tells Wright that he messed with his father and paralyzed his brother. He says Wright's got alot of days in the sun left and he is a German phenom that's taken WCW by storm, but today wasn't his day, because priority No 1 for the Macho Man is take Ric Flair out. He's going crazy about what happened at Slamboree.</p><p> </p><p> He says he understands Wright is a second generation wrestler, his dad was big in Germany, and Wright nods his head. Savage says what happened to his dad could have happened to Wright's dad or anybody else's dad, but it didn't, it happened to his, and it's up to him to be a man and take care of it, and if Wright can't understand that, then they do have a problem. He apologizes for ruining his match, but this was what came first for the Macho Man.</p><p> </p><p> <em>Wright understand why Savage screwed him over.
