cappyboy
For those like me who prefer to play smaller feds, I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on payroll management and how you keep this particular expense under control. Was looking to play a pre-existing company for the first time in a long time and thought I had settled on CILL because I had the foundations of a booking plan worked out. But when I started the save, holy sticker shock Batman. I couldn't believe how much El Maestro was paying his talent. So I started saves from a bunch of other Small feds as well. The only one whose opening payroll I could begin to wrap my mind around was MAW's. So I have to wonder do the promoters of C-Verse indies spend like drunken sailors on their rosters? Or have years of dealing from the dead bottom of the talent deck and being unwilling to spend four figures a month on anybody turned me into the fiscal equivalent of Scrooge McDuck? Rayelek
I don't usually play pre-existing companies, but for the Small company I'm playing right now, I started out running shows every other month to save money, then as people got poached, I replaced them with cheaper talent. Usually only having 1 or 2 guys that were making more than $1000 per month at a time.
