Biggest example of you exploiting the game?

Recommended Posts

I am not proud of the blatant cheating I did, but one I was playing as WWE and basically drug tested everyone then anyone who tested positive I fired. After doing that I resigned to start my own company and started signing the talent I just previously fired from WWE. So in short I basically became the booker of WWE and intentionally sabotage the company just to sign their talent to my promotion.

What exploits have you used?

<p>I guess I don't really consider anything an exploit anymore. You play the game the way you want you. One of the best things about this game is you can customize so much that you can start a new game and it's a completely different experience.</p><p> </p><p>

Adam has done a great job of closing most the loopholes- you can't job guys up the card anymore, can't run the same match over and over (well i guess you can if you turn off the penalty) and most recently, though I whined and moaned over it not being explained fully- the overness caps for small companies</p><p> </p><p>

I guess if there's any real cheat I would do, it would be if there was a tag team i wanted and only one of them was available in my area, and the other was unemployed but working just enough indies to keep him from being available in new areas I might edit. haven't done it in a long time though, like since TEW 2010, maybe 2013</p>

<p>I save scum to find tag team chemistry.</p><p> </p><p> One thing I've done before is I've turned off booking times and had an angle-spamming show just to get people over and to improve their mic skills. Imagine a 20 hour show where your low midcarder is in 200 segments with The Rock, just to get that low midcarder over. I've also had 1 minute angles where everyone is set to major success just to get their momentum up for no reason.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="downnice" data-cite="downnice" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45230" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I am not proud of the blatant cheating I did, but one I was playing as WWE and basically drug tested everyone then anyone who tested positive I fired. I don't really consider that a game exploit. In fact I think it's really cool that the game mechanics allow that sort of evilness to happen.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="scorpion" data-cite="scorpion" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45230" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> Adam has done a great job of closing most the loopholes- you can't job guys up the card anymore...</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I've jobbed people up the card. If your lower wrestlers are working with more over workers, they'll get inflated ratings for the promos that they're in. They might not get pop by losing, but they get pop just by being in a feud with someone that can produce highly rated segments. Or are you referring to gaining popularity purely by losing good matches? If so, then yeah I agree with you.</p>

I don't consider anything exploiting anymore.

I like to run Main Event Angles and I usually put my angle after my matches instead of before it to keep the storyline heat up.

I end every show with the same:

Steal the show >

Main Event Promo >

Calm the crowd >

Main Event Promo >

Spectacle or Epic 26 minutes slow build open match.

Keep Strong is the most OP thing in the game. It just doesn't make any sense why it's so powerful so consistently.

In my first game as MAW, I would bring in more popular wrestlers, then just have my guys beat them while the other guy had Keep Strong on him. Huge popularity boosts and no complaining. Eventually it's just like a chain. Once one guy is over, every other main eventer can be that over, and it just keeps going and going. My top guys were in the B popularity range and not even close to being Cult.

you aren't wrong but there is some realism to it. kevin owens beating john cena did way more to help owens than it did to hurt cena. it also digs a little at your match rating so there is some downside. I also think the overness caps on smaller companies keeps you from abusing it too much

I'm not sure if this counts, but whenever I run what I perceive to be a good card, but some angles score lower than I would like and therefore affects the overall score of the card...I'll go into the editor and 'take back' the popularity points I might have lost. It's the Vince McMahon way of deciding FOR the fans what they like and what they dont. ;)

Probably my biggest cheat is going into the editor, not to tweak things (usually) but to get a very clear idea of what's what. Seeing exactly what a rookie's stats are, when does that written contract from a big talent expire, and who's going to debut soon. That sort of thing.

When you are making oodles of money, just sign all the rookie talents and all the elderly to train them. Exploiting your wealth and reaping the rewards later.

...yes, I realize that I'm going to run into the issue of not being able to keep all that talent, but I figure that I'll bankrupt enough of them that it won't really matter.

The match grade penalties are for Keep Strong are so steep I barely even use it unless im hard pushing someone up the card.

For the most part using angles is just better

Yeah I NEVER use it in main events or semi-mains just for that purpose.

I don't know, I use "Keep Strong" in Main Events and have achieved 100 grades, and often 99 grades too, so I haven't experienced any difficulty with the "Keep Strong" note.

Did you happen to have a very hot storyline associated with it? Because IIRC, I believe that helps.

The thing I do the most is copying the save game to add a new player to run my rival company, go to the diary and see the remaining time of the contracts. Just to have an idea of who I want and if I can get him.

Then I delete the copy and go back to the original game.

I created a Lucha Underground type knock off in the Cornell universe, and did so many bad things.

User Sean McFly, also booked myself as first champ. Took KC and Matthew and the Cali dragons. Somehow Marat signed on sometime after the first two months of only tv and one Ppv six months out. Jack Bruce made racist comments so I signed him... and then proceeded to job both out to Keith, Glenn, gauge, and Ernest young man. Also I think I preset the announcer.. peter Michael’s? To the product.

Also, I straight fired Prometheus for ripping a stinky fart.

Even loaded cash to create a world wide network, started as cult, and I buried nation of filth... hard.

You can see how long contracts have in the editor, but that does leave you open to wanting to shorten them. Which is probably my biggest cheat. This guy has 2 years left on his contract? Are you sure it doesn't say 28 days?

Running shows every single day to get around the popularity cap and spamming everyone in as many angles as possible(with respect to overuse) to get their skills.

I pretty much got everyone to A* popularity and A* entertainment skills in the demo that's why I didn't buy the game...

So you played the game in a way it’s not meant to be played and used that as a reason not to buy it?

That makes zero sense to me.
