Their antics were soon cut off by Adam Clarke and Rob Van Dam, who have had run-ins with DX over the past few weeks, the two chair wielding superstars running DX off! <strong>(B- / 76)</strong><p> </p><p> 1. Dean Malenko had a one-night return to his cruiserweight roots when he picked up a victory over Christopher Daniels, making the Fallen Angel tap out to the Texas Cloverleaf. <strong>(B / 79)</strong></p><p> </p><p> - Backstage D-Generation X, still smarting over their run-in with Adam Clarke & Rob Van Dam, ran into Randy Savage backstage. The group immediately started ripping into Savage, mocking him for being an old man and trying to goad him into a fight. Triple H told Savage to watch tonight’s main event and see the next Global champion in action. <strong>(B+ / 88)</strong></p><p> </p><p> 2. In cruiserweight tag tram action the unlikely, and a little bit crazy, duo of Psicosis & Sabu put away Super Crazy & Juventud Guerrera when Sabu pinned Juvi with the Flying Legdrop. <strong>(C / 64)</strong></p><p> </p><p> - With moments to go before Chris Jericho’s match Roddy Piper caught up with The Rock, Edge & Christian backstage to inform them that not only were they banned from ringside during Jericho’s match but that later tonight The Rock would have to go one-on-one with Jeff Hardy! <strong>(B+ / 83)</strong></p><p> </p><p> 3. With no fear of interference in this WWF Global Championship quarter-final match Chris Jericho battled his way past William Regal, ending Regal’s hopes of becoming a double champion with the Codebreaker. Chris Jericho will now face off with Bret Hart at Fully Loaded in the semi-finals of the tournament, just two wins away from becoming the first WWF Global Champion! <strong>(B / 81)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="wqgw26H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wqgw26H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">SPOTLIGHT SEGMENT</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="DXb56Gn.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/DXb56Gn.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="RHCPkBa.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RHCPkBa.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="jQB7M8G.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/jQB7M8G.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="1z2gog8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1z2gog8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Paul Heyman, flanked by Extreme Rising, hit the ring to speak about attacking Cactus Jack last week. As it turned out Heyman was less interested in talking about that, and more about his ambitions for SmackDown. Heyman said that WWE needs a change, for too long it’s been predictable, boring, run by an old man who has no idea what he’s doing. Well now he is going to make it happen, and the men surrounding him are going to help him get rid of anyone who doesn’t fit with Heyman’s vision for SmackDown, and that started last week when they took care of that deluded sociopath, Cactus Jack.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="zjcPBSR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zjcPBSR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Speaking of Cactus Jack, it turns out he wasn’t quite as ‘taken care of’ as Heyman seemed to think. Jack stormed the ring with a barbed wire baseball bat, swinging wildly and sending Extreme Rising running for the hills. Paul Heyman might want to make SmackDown ‘his’ show, but Cactus Jack wants their heads on a spike before they even get the opportunity!</p><p> </p><p> <strong>RATING:</strong> C (62)</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="wqgw26H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wqgw26H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> 4. In what was very much an odd-pairings tag team match WWF Cruiserweight Champion Jushin Thunder Liger and his partner Goldust put away challenger Jerry Lynn and Berlyn when Goldust put Berlyn down with the Final Cut, though Lynn made a point of bailing out of the ring and pointing out that he wasn’t covered. <strong>(B / 77)</strong></p><p> </p><p> - It was chaos backstage as Chris Benoit and Rick Steiner were in the midst of a violent brawl. The two had to be pulled apart by security led by Roddy Piper before too much damage was done. <strong>(B- / 73)</strong></p><p> </p><p> 5. Jeff Hardy might be better known for tag team action but he had no problem taking the fight to The Rock in a closely fought contest. When Edge & Christian attempted to interfere Matt Hardy flew down on top of both of them from the top rope, but the distraction meant that moments later The Rock had laid out Jeff with the Rock Bottom to steal the victory! <strong>(B / 77)</strong></p><p> </p><p> - Just moments before The Undertaker squares off with Triple H there was another Sting sighting, as the mysterious Stinger was again sighted among the rafters. <strong>(B / 78)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="wqgw26H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wqgw26H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> <strong>THE MAIN EVENT!</strong></p><p> <img alt="tsuMEav.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tsuMEav.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong> <img alt="7jKxVjO.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7jKxVjO.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>WWF GLOBAL CHAMPIONSHIP QUARTER-FINAL MATCH</strong></p><p><strong> TRIPLE H vs. THE UNDERTAKER</strong></p><p> </p><p> With the winner set to face off with The Rock in the semi-finals, which will take place at Fully Loaded, this was a big time main event as the winner would be just two victories away from becoming the first ever Global Champion. The Undertaker had the experience advantage, he is a former WWF World Champion after all, but with the presence of Triple H’s D-Generation X allies looming in the background it was going to be far from an easy victory for the Deadman, and that’s before you mention Sting watching from above. Still, Undertaker was as focused as ever as he sought to solidify his status as the big dog of SmackDown, using his considerable striking and power game to take the fight to Triple H from the moment the bell rang.</p><p> </p><p> Knowing he was in trouble Triple H resorted to desperate measures when he used a distraction from Chyna to boot The Undertaker right between the legs. Triple H took control but when he went for a Pedigree The Undertaker powered out of it and promptly drove Hunter into the mat with a Chokeslam. The Undertaker was about to get the three when Chyna pulled the official out of the ring and the New Age Outlaws struck, attacking The Undertaker. Adam Clarke and Rob Van Dam made the save, running off the Outlaws but then Chyna slid a steel chair to Triple H. Triple H went to hit the Deadman with the chair but Randy Savage pulled it out of his hands before The Undertaker grabbed him around the throat and hit the Chokeslam. He followed it up with the Tombstone Piledriver to book his spot in the semi-finals in what was a chaotic main event.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WINNER:</strong> The Undertaker</p><p> <strong>RATING:</strong> B+ (83)</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="wqgw26H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wqgw26H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>SHOW RATING:</strong> B+ (83)</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>

I've had the girlfriend's family visiting for the past week hence the lack of updates, and tomorrow I'm flying to Belfast for four days, so I expect the show won't be posted until next weekend. After that I'll be able to get back to a proper schedule as I don't want to lose momentum given some of the big ideas I've got.</div></div></div></div>

That didn’t go down too well with DDP and he’s been chasing Eddie for the past few weeks. Tonight he finally got his hands on him. Page had a clear power advantage in this match but he quickly found out that Eddie isn’t just smart and sneaky, he’s got the skills to back all his talk up. Eddie matched Page’s strength with speed and strategy as he worked over Page’s leg with a variety of technical holds and submissions. As a result Page struggled to his some of his bigger moves and had to adjust his game plan. Page managed to fight back thanks to a surprising dropkick and some technical holds of his own, much to Eddie’s surprise. Guerrero looked like he might be in trouble when Page set him up for the Diamond Cutter, only for Mr. Money in the Bank to push DDP away and then hit him with a low dropkick to the injured leg. Eddie followed it up with a violent leaping DDT before going up top and connecting with the Frog Splash to pick up the victory and the momentum ahead of an inevitable WWF World Championship match in his future.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WINNER:</strong> Eddie Guerrero</p><p> <strong>RATING:</strong> B (78)</p><p></p></div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><div></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <img alt="wqgw26H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wqgw26H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45418" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p><img alt="enYmu1H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/enYmu1H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong> <img alt="xLFMtHI.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xLFMtHI.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> <strong>TATANKA vs. BAM BAM BIGELOW</strong></p><p> </p><p> Over the past few years Bam Bam Bigelow and Tatanka have made up Ted DiBiase’s Million Dollar Corporation, but as time has gone on they’ve become less and less of a factor in the World Wrestling Federation. In the aftermath of the draft Ted DiBiase decided a change was in order, and that meant forcibly removing Tatanka from the Corporation. This was Tatanka’s opportunity to get some revenge and while Bam Bam Bigelow is strong and surprisingly agile there’s no looking past Tatanka either. In fact he caught Bigelow out early with a vicious shoulder barge that sent the big man down, setting the tone for a stiff, competitive match. DiBiase on the outside attempted to change the way the match was going by climbing up on the apron and distracting Tatanka but when Bigelow charged him from behind the Native American side stepped, Bigelow knocking DiBiase to the ground and Tatanka managing to lift him up and drop him with a massive Samoan drop. The Franchise Players hold a victory over The Bodydonna’s and have even headlined RAW against Shawn Michaels & Syxx, while The Bodydonna’s haven’t found any traction of their own. They were looking to change that here and came out of the gates quick, attempting to get a quick victory. Unfortunately for them it didn’t work out as Shane Douglas and Lance Storm managed to take hold of the match, cutting Bagwell off from his partner. Candido could only watch as The Franchise Players worked over Candido with some strong leg work which meant that even when Bagwell had an opportunity to make the tag he was too slow to make it over before The Franchise Players cut him off. The match looked over and done when Sunny distracted Douglas on the outside, giving Bagwell the chance to take Storm down and make the tag! Candido took the fight straight to Storm and Douglas, taking out his pent up aggression on the duo after having to wait it out on the apron. Candido set Storm up for the New Jersey Jam only for Storm to take his leg out from under him. Douglas quickly connected with the Franchiser and put Candido down for the count before Bagwell could make the save.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WINNER:</strong> The Franchise Players</p><p> <strong>RATING:</strong> B (77)</p><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> With the bell rung and The Franchise Players celebrating their way up the ramp Marcus Bagwell slowly helped Chris Candido up to his feet. That played right into Raven’s hands as he was able to ground Mysterio, capitalising on mistakes and grounding down the champion. Raven continued to dig his ways into the psyche of Mysterio, clawing at his mask, threatening to expose him to the world. Rey refused to let it happen, fighting back but making sloppy mistakes as a result. Mysterio did try to get some of his high-flying offence in but took a nasty bump when Raven pushed him clean off of the top rope during a springboard attempt, Mysterio crashing into the barricade on the outside and seemingly injuring his shoulder. That became the prime focus for the challenger as he mercilessly worked over the injured shoulder, throwing him into the barricade and the turnbuckle. Mysterio would fight back but couldn’t get any traction and when he attempted to climb the turnbuckle later on his arm caused him trouble, giving Raven time to crotch him on the top rope, pull him down and drive him into the mat with the Everflow DDT. With that Raven picked up the pinfall and the European Championship and put a serious dent into the mystery that is Rey Mysterio.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WINNER:</strong> Raven</p><p> <strong>RATING:</strong> B (80)</p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <img alt="wqgw26H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wqgw26H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45418" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p><img alt="FEuIsko.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FEuIsko.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="hpDijOp.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hpDijOp.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> We headed backstage to find a crowd of security guards and medical personnel huddling around Syxx, who was writhing on the floor in agony, clutching his knee. They saw Harlem Heat as the perfect duo to join the fold but, following an embarrassing defeat suffered by New Jack to Diamond Dallas Page, an already reluctant Heat ‘politely’ refused the offer. As you’d expect Faarooq didn’t take too kindly to the rejection, leading to this contest. Harlem Heat came out of the gates hot, showing why their youth might be enough to get them a win against the more experienced Faarooq but the leader of the Nation quickly shut things down with his powerful repertoire and Mustapha Saed’s propensity for underhandedness. Saed rakes the eyes of Booker in the corner and Faarooq caught him with a big clothesline before setting up for the Dominator, but Booker managed to slip out the back. He paid the interfering Mustapha back with a leaping dropkick that sent him tumbling through the ropes and then caught Faarooq with a leaping side kick before leaping and making the tag to Stevie Ray in the corner. Stevie unloaded with a series of clotheslines to Faarooq who found himself completely caught off guard by the speed of the younger star. Stevie tagged in Booker and the two double teamed Faarooq, lifting him up high and sending him straight back down with the Towering Inferno! Booker T made the cover and Stevie Ray saw off the interference of Mustapha Saed once again as Harlem Heat got the three to pick up a big victory against the Nation!</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WINNER:</strong> Harlem Heat</p><p> <strong>RATING:</strong> B (78)</p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <img alt="wqgw26H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wqgw26H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45418" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p><img alt="KgFC38m.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KgFC38m.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong> <img alt="SLd1zGO.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SLd1zGO.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> <strong>VADER vs. SCOTT STEINER</strong></p><p> </p><p> This match all comes down to strength. Following the draft Jim Cornette insisted that Vader was going to be a dominant force on RAW because he is the strongest wrestler in the World Wrestling Federation. Enter Scott Steiner who, separated from his brother by the draft, is looking to make an impression of his own by proving that he is perhaps stronger than the Mastodon. As a result this match was all about strength, Steiner and Vader looking to prove they could overpower the other. Kicking off with a classic shoulder barge battle in which neither man crashed to the mat, Steiner caught Vader off guard with what can only be described as a gigantic belly to belly suplex that lifted Vader overhead and crashing to the canvas! Cornette went nuts on the outside, unable to believe that Steiner could lift the big man, but the crowd ate i up when Steiner flexed to the crowd. Steiner kept up his offence but was soon caught out by Vader’s surprising agility when the Mastodon sidestepped his charge in the corner. Vader followed up with a big splash and a powerslam for a two count before attempting to crush Steiner with a splash to the canvas. Vader found only mat as Steiner moved out of the way and then nearly took Vader out with a violent clothesline. Steiner attempted to lock in the Steiner Recliner but Cornette leapt onto the apron, distracting the official. Steiner broke the hold and went after him but as Cornette dropped down to the floor Steiner turned straight into a crushing belly to belly suplex. Vader followed it up with a Vader Bomb to steal the victory!</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WINNER:</strong> Vader</p><p> <strong>RATING:</strong> B- (74)</p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <img alt="wqgw26H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wqgw26H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45418" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p><img alt="5Uw0aWB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5Uw0aWB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="4EQGZrg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4EQGZrg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> Backstage Todd Pettengill got a few words with The British Bulldog ahead of his WWF World Championship match later tonight. The Dudley Boyz have made an impression on the WWF due to their rebellious and rough attitudes and that was no different here as they jumped Austin & Pillman the moment the bell rang. The assault saw The Dudleyz deliver a 3D to Pillman outside the ring, laying him out, and leaving Austin to try and fend off both challengers as once. The one thing that Austin had on his side was that this was a traditional tag match which meant that, technically, he only had to fight one of the Dudleyz at once. ‘Technically’ being the notable word there because Bubba Ray and D-Von weren’t all that interested in following the rules and consistently double teamed Austin, working him over in their effort to get the win before Pillman could recover. Austin didn’t make it easy for them, managing to fight both men off and avoiding their attempts to connect with the 3D. Austin fought rough, sending Bubba shoulder first into the turnbuckle and catching D-Von with a Stunner! Before Bubba could stop him Austin saw Pillman clamber onto the ropes and managed to make the tag! Pillman flew into the ring, attacking Bubba and not letting up. Pillman caught Bubba with a big dropkick and then went outside and connected with Air Pillman! Brian picked up the three count, notching up a big title defence for him and Austin.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WINNER:</strong> Steve Austin & Brian Pillman</p><p> <strong>RATING:</strong> B (82)</p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <img alt="wqgw26H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wqgw26H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45418" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p><img alt="FEuIsko.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FEuIsko.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="4EQGZrg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4EQGZrg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> Backstage Shawn Michaels was shown leaving the trainers room when Todd Pettengill caught up with him, asking him if there was any update on Syxx’s status for tonight’s match? Michaels frustration was clear as he explained that Syxx wouldn’t be cleared to compete against Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. Pettengill questioned whether this meant he’d be forfeiting the match but Michaels asked if he was joking. Michaels didn’t care that he’d have to go out there alone, he was going out there to kick Nash & Hall’s ass and nobody was going to convince him otherwise.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>RATING:</strong> B (79)</p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <img alt="wqgw26H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wqgw26H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45418" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p><img alt="bMxkNQl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bMxkNQl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> <img alt="Ml77fLw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ml77fLw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong> <img alt="cnAJq1M.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cnAJq1M.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>WWF WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH</strong></p><p><strong> MADUSA vs. ETSUKO MITA</strong></p><p> </p><p> Etsuko Mita had a short reign with the WWF Women’s Championship earlier this year, first winning it from Madusa and then losing it back to her shortly after. Tonight she was looking to win the title back and erase that moment from her memory. As a result she was considerably more fired up than usual, which is saying something because Mita is well known for her competitive nature. While Mita approached the match passionately Madusa was more cerebral. From the moment the bell rang she went after Mita’s leg, trying to slow the challenger down and potentially even injure her if that got her the win. She used a few of her former Kliq allies tactics, including an inverted Indian deathlock which she repeatedly locked in looking for the submission. At every turn though Mita kept fighting, finding a way to turn that hold into a pinning position for a near fall. Mita connected with a flurry of strikes and then with a big bridging German suplex for a second near fall. While Madusa kicked out Mita kept hold of the waist and dragged her up for a second German only for her leg to give way. Madusa straight up booted the leg and rolled Mita up, grabbing the tights for a surprising three count! Madusa quickly exited the ring and grabbed her title while Mita nursed her leg, both women knowing full well that Madusa had just stolen this match.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WINNER:</strong> Madusa</p><p> <strong>RATING:</strong> C+ (68)</p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <img alt="wqgw26H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wqgw26H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45418" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p><img alt="FEuIsko.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FEuIsko.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong> <img alt="zSBCnYR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zSBCnYR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="5f4f6cU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5f4f6cU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="wqgw26H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wqgw26H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45418" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> Prior to the main event a hype video aired promoting tonight’s WWF World Heavyweight Championship match between champion Owen Hart and challenger Davey Boy Smith. Two men who aren’t just friends but family what was meant to be a match of honour has turned into something much more personal. Owen happily accepted Davey’s challenge but following a match in which Owen accidentally distracted Smith leading to a loss the British Bulldog seemed to snap, accusing Owen of thinking he couldn’t get the job done himself. Bulldog has a chip on his shoulder, thinking he needs to prove that he deserves to be in the main event, and it looks like he’ll do anything to do that, even if it means burning his bridges.</p></div><p> </p><p> <strong>RATING:</strong> B (79)</p><p> </p><p> <strong>THE MAIN EVENT!</strong></p><p> <img alt="DE7k8jw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/DE7k8jw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="Xa7o11Q.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Xa7o11Q.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong> <img alt="5Uw0aWB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5Uw0aWB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>WWF WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH</strong></p><p><strong> OWEN HART vs. THE BRITISH BULLDOG</strong></p><p> </p><p> As the bell rang Owen leaned in, offering Davey Boy a handshake. The Bulldog stared at his hand and shook his hand, mouthing “not yet” to the WWF Champion. A confused and disappointed Owen backed away to the corner, clearly not used to this new attitude of a man he thought he knew so well. The two men locked up, Bulldog using his impressive strength to overpower Owen and push him to the mat, Bulldog towering over him. The champion scrambled to his feet and the pair locked up again, this time Owen using his technical prowess to take Bulldog down, twisting him up in knots. The theme of the match was set, it would be the champions technical excellence against the challengers sheer strength and force of will. Owen, as always, focused in on the leg and lower back, that devastating Sharpshooter in the back of his mind. Bulldog had no such intentions and simply threw everything he had at Owen, catching him with a massive lariat and then going up to the second rope and hitting up with a big second rope clothesline for a two count. Bulldog hit a big powerslam and then ran the ropes for a running splash which again only got a two count. It didn’t seem to matter what the challenger threw at Hart, he just couldn’t get past that two. His frustration began to build and he got more and more aggressive, including dragging Owen outside the ring and delivering a horrible Running Powerslam straight into the security barricade.</p><p> </p><p> Bulldog dragged Owen back into the ring, knowing full well he couldn’t win the title via count out, but still Owen kicked out at two. Davey Boy hauled Owen up straight off of the mat into a second Running Powerslam only for Owen to slip out the back and roll the challenger up. Bulldog managed to kick out but Owen grabbed the legs, turned him over and locked in the Sharpshooter! Smith was in agonising pain, Owen having worked over the leg and back, but he refused to quit. He had to have been locked in it for over a minutre before he managed to crawl his way over to the bottom rope and grab hold of it to break the count! The damage was clearly done and Owen went in for the kill, lifting Davey Boy up for a Piledriver, but the Bulldog managed to flip him overhead before his leg gave out. Fighting through the pain the British Bulldog went to the far corner and charged at Owen for a running lariat but Owen dropkicked his leg right out from under him and once again locked in the Sharpshooter! Again the Bulldog attempted to crawl to the ropes but when he was just moments from reaching them Owen dragged him back to the middle of the ring! Bulldog held on as long as he could despite Owen’s pleas for him to just quit. The pain finally became too much and The British Bulldog, after a truly valiant effort, tapped out at 22:24. The UK crowd erupted into boos over the result but it didn’t matter, Owen Hart was still the WWF World Heavyweight Champion! Bulldog was hurt and, seeing that, Owen offered his hand out to his friend. Instead of taking it though Davey Boy rolled out of the ring and limped up the rope, needing some help from the official. Owen, confused, watched on, the WWF Championship in hand as the UK crowd booed him for beating their hero.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WINNER:</strong> Owen Hart</p><p> <strong>RATING:</strong> A* (95)</p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <strong>SHOW RATING:</strong> A (89)</p></div><p> <strong>SHAWN MICHAELS vs. KEVIN NASH & SCOTT HALL</strong></p><p> </p><p> In the aftermath of the draft one of the biggest shocks was the disintegration of The Kliq, not solely because of the draft but also the ego’s of Nash & Hall, who turned on Michaels blaming him for wanting to be the ‘bigger star’. Help came in the form of Syxx but following an attack on Syxx earlier tonight, almost certainly carried out by Nash & Hall, Michaels was forced to fight this match alone. Nash & Hall made a big show of the fact Michaels was alone, finding the whole situation quite funny, until suddenly a Sweet Chin Music out of nowhere to Nash stopped the laughter in it’s tracks. Hall jumped Michaels and the match was on, the Heartbreak Kid having evened the odds if only temporarily by taking Nash out of the action. Michaels was determined to not let his anger get the better of him and instead focused more on attempting to finish the match early with rollups and quick pinfalls but couldn’t quite get it done. Michaels did have Hall set up for a Sweet Chin Music only for a recovered Nash to grab him by the leg and Hall to kick him straight in the face in the corner. From there Nash & Hall worked over Michaels, using their size and strength, not to mention the numbers game, to beat down their former friend. Nash hit the big boot and went for the Jacknife Powerbomb but Michaels slipped out the back and straight into a lariat by Hall. The Bad Guy went for the Razor’s Edge but again Michaels managed to slip out and hit Hall with a Sweet Chin Music! And then a Sweet Chin Music to Nash as well! Michaels collapsed to the mat, exhausted, all three men down…</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="hpDijOp.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hpDijOp.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Which is when Syxx emerged from backstage, limping his way down to the ring to come to Michaels aid when he needed it most. Syxx, who was legally still part of the match, climbed into the ring, helping Michaels up onto his feet and pulled him into their corner while Nash & Hall retreated into their own, the two warring sides staring each other down… when suddenly Syxx low blowed Michaels! The crowd went silent as Nash & Hall feigned shock and then started laughing. The duo too-sweeted Syxx before Nash lifted Michaels up and planted him with the Jacknife Power Bomb, pinning Michaels while Hall and Syxx watched on.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WINNER:</strong> Kevin Nash & Scott Hall</p><p> <strong>RATING:</strong> B (81)</p><p> </p><p> The crowd couldn’t believe what they’d just seen but then, as they slowly came to accept it, the whole thing became obvious. Syxx, Nash & Hall had barely laid hands on each other in the buildup to this match and Syxx’s ‘injury’ was clearly false considering he had no issues walking around the ring now. Syxx, Kevin Nash & Scott Hall had set Shawn Michaels up and it had worked perfectly. The trio stood over Michaels while Nash handed out three shirts, the three putting them on and again too-sweeting each other. They were emblazoned with three letters, and three words, that would appear to be the name of this new group.</p><p> </p><p> NWO. New World Order.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>RATING:</strong> B (79)</p></div><p></p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote></div><p></p>

And that's the final scores for the first prediction contest, with all of the top four predictors getting a direct hand in the booking of the King of the Ring tournament, which kicks off on the next RAW. ElectricX takes fourth place due to having the closest time for the tiebreaker between him and The_Monk. I'll be getting in touch with the top four one-by-one to discuss their prizes but thank you to everyone who predicted and I hope you'll stick around, I've got plenty of interesting prediction prizes in mind.

Awesome PPV Rateddc! Can't wait to see what you have in store for King Of The Ring.

Thanks man, if there's one person that means the most from it's you.

What I can say about the King of the Ring is that I've changed plans since I originally put up the prediction prizes. Now ALL THIRTY TWO competitors will be decided by the two predictors who choose that prize, while the first round match ups, and essentially the bracket, will be decided by another two, so it could be the most unpredictable tournament ever!
