<p><strong>- What was your goal in drafting your roster?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Building a performance based promotion with a modern, slightly lucha influenced bend.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What pick were you most excited about?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Southside_hitmen vacuumed the draft board of the top juniors early on, and I had just Sensational Dragon. I felt that Marihito Masuko was the only real top name left on the board, so to get at least one worthy rival to SD was a big relief. Funakoshi also felt good to get onboard.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- Are there any picks you regret?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Picked a tour highlights deal in round 22 when it could have waited until the final ten picks. That was unneccessary. I had it in my head that it was the first 20 picks that were written contracts, not the first 30. Don’t think it matters that much, but still. </p><p> </p><p>

I don’t particularly regret picking any of my wrestlers, except I could have replaced Horri or Makiguchi with the guy below:</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What were some of your favorite picks made by other players?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

- Southside_hitmen picking Elemental III in the seventh round felt like a steal. I should have pulled the trigger on him in round 5 or 6 when I had the chance.</p><p> </p><p>

- I have a soft spot for Zoe Ammis from my QAW diary, so DatIsraeliGuy gets a million points in my book for taking her in the 9th round.</p><p> </p><p>

- I am not terribly familiar with the American side of the C-verse outside the women’s wrestling, so I find it somewhat hard to identify picks I think were particularly good. There were some people picked that I wanted, but I couldn’t match the draft number. Uncrewed’s pick of Matthew Keith stung a bit, HRTVAndrew’s pick of Koshiro Ino as well, but it would have been a few rounds before I was going to pick either of them, so it was never going to happen.</p><p> </p><p>

- Mostly though it was southside_hitmen who kept picking the guys I wanted. He’s got all the big names, and all the young talent in our market. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What were some picks made that puzzled you?</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong></p><p>

Maybe Angry Gilmore to Australia where he’s basically unknown? But nah man. I’m a big proponent of following your vision when drafting. Pick whoever you like. I've made plenty of draft picks that on the surface looked idiotic, but I had a clear idea why I wanted them and that's all that matters.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong></p><p>

We’ll be the fan favorites, where the afficionados go to see good wrestling, but we will be crushed in the national battles by MJM.</p>

<p>- What was your goal in drafting your roster?</p><p> </p><p>

As I said earlier, I had resigned myself to picking near the bottom of the draft, because that's where I usually wind up. When I got the first overall pick, my vision changed. I tried to balance my "performance over popularity" product while also putting together a roster that'd be very tough in national battles.</p><p> </p><p>

- What pick were you most excited about?</p><p> </p><p>

Rocky Golden isn't a picture-perfect fit for my product, but I simply couldn't pass him up at 18th overall. I was stunned he wasn't a first-round pick, and my guess is he dropped because there weren't as many American-based companies this time around.</p><p> </p><p>

I was also happy to snag both Valiant and Rogue at the back end of the fourth round (given their backstories, you can't have one without the other!), and I'm happy to have gotten some very good younger guys, too. Mikey James, Steven Parker, and Nelson Callum could all be eventual stars if the destiny rolls are kind, and if we can keep Hollywood Bret Starr on his best behavior, he could be an asset for us as well.</p><p> </p><p>

- Are there any picks you regret?</p><p> </p><p>

Eh, "regret" is a strong term, but there were a few picks I made to fill out my staff that I may have been able to wait on. Peter Michaels in the 13th round jumps out, but in my defense, I wasn't crazy about any of the wrestlers left on the board at that point, so I opted to take the best announcer in the game. Catherine Quine also may have been a bit of a reach, but that was a similar situation where I wasn't in love with any of the in-ring options.</p><p> </p><p>

- What were some of your favorite picks made by other players?</p><p> </p><p>

The Bumfholes/New Wave series of picks was a backbreaker for me. I was hoping one of those two teams would drop and serve as the backbone of my tag division. I still wound up with an OK tag division (Stardust/Cannonball, Garcia/Prudence, and Atom Smasher/Jungle Jack are all solid, and I can create another team or two without much difficulty), but the division would've looked considerably better if I could have landed one of those two teams.</p><p> </p><p>

- What were some picks made that puzzled you?</p><p> </p><p>

When I saw Angry Gilmore go #2 overall to an Australian company, I was pretty happy I traded up in the second and fourth rounds. This is nothing against drmacbeth, AT ALL. He drafted a bunch of good workers. Having said that, as an American-based company, I didn't expect an Australian one to poach some prospective workers!</p><p> </p><p>

- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?</p><p> </p><p>

It's tough to say we're the "evil empire" or anything, since we've got a ton of smark favorites on the roster. I envision us as the company that's very tough to beat in national battles, but one that's also fun to book given the in-ring talent we've assembled.</p>

<p><strong>- What was your goal in drafting your roster?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Since I'm running a traditional southern wrasslin' fed I wanted a bunch of tough oldschool dudes that could fight mixed with a few guys that were really good in the ring. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What pick were you most excited about?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Definitely Nicky Champion and Remo back to back at 10-11. I did not expect either of them to be avialable but I got my top white meat babyface and my top bad ass heel with my first two picks.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- Are there any picks you regret?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Taking the TV and PPV deals so early. I was at work and didn't have the time to trade the picks b/c there wasn't really anyone on the board that I wanted bad in those spots. I regret not waiting until the PPA rounds.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What were some of your favorite picks made by other players?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

I am also not very familair with the CV outside of Japan. I did some research before hand but I've never palyed with a non-japanese company. With that being said I love the dynamic between Dr_Avalanche and southside_hitmen with Dr A having the really good workrate guys and the great young HW's and southside having the older ME's who are extremely over and a star studded Jr division.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What were some picks made that puzzled you?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Pretty much drafting anyone in the first few rounds that has a 0% pop in your home region was a bit puzzling but perhaps it's part of some grand strange plan.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Slobberknockers, slobberknockers, slobberknockers! Lots of wild brawls and clean cut babyfaces fighting no good cheating heels. We probably won't win the national battles or put on A grade matches but we will open up a big old can of whoop ass!</p>

<p><strong>- What was your goal in drafting your roster?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Get all the great Canadians under one roof. DeColts, Stones, fake DeColts, nobody was off limits!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What pick were you most excited about?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Edd Stone & Freddy Huggins. Considering I sniped them from DatIsraeliGuy <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />. Seriously though, I'm excited for Edd Stone's Canadian homecoming. One pick I haven't made yet should be extremely interesting as well.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- Are there any picks you regret?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

The only one I can think of is maybe Matthew Keith, but I had a hunch that he was going to be picked soon anyway.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What were some of your favorite picks made by other players?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

DatIsraeliGuy picking Sean McFly, Ricky DeColt, & Benny Benson obviously. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What were some picks made that puzzled you?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Some of drmacbeth's picks. I love Angry Gilmore as much as the next guy, but my man has 15 popularity across Australia and he picked him with the 2nd overall pick. I understand that he wanted to prevent others from picking him, but initially it just looked weird.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

We're probably going to be the number one promotion in Canada, but we have to defend against DIG's excellent roster.</p>

I figure skills are going to improve better/faster against Angry Gilmore, Jack Bruce, Matravers than guys 6-10 in Australia, who I would get anyway. The only guy I missed out on from the Australian scene was Maurice Jackson. I figured this would be the case, so I intended to max out the non-Australians as much as possible. I actually wish I had stuck to my original plan to make my 1st 5 picks all non-Australians.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>- What pick were you most excited about?</strong></p><p> </p><p> Greg Gauge - I love him and Matthew Keith and when Keith went, I was scared it would make someone else pick up Greg. Also pretty pleased with Takayuki 2000.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>- Are there any picks you regret?</strong></p><p> </p><p> Marcos Flores, probably - I knew which picks were going to be my 8 (20%) of guys not active in Australia and I had a strict formula for deciding who to pick and Flores was at the top but I should have picked someone younger for more a long-term pick. He'll team up w/ Mr Lucha III and that should work well, but still would take a do-over on that one.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>- What were some of your favorite picks made by other players?</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p> Dr_Avalanche had a couple steals, IMHO. PRIDE Koiso in the 7th round - I know he has an injury to start (at least he does in CVerse), but love that guy. Tetsunori Yasuda in the 26th round - I've been roughly keeping up with the data as picks are made and running 1 year simulations after every round or so and Yasuda is #25-30 every year on the top 500, both before he was on RPW's roster and after he was added. I kept thinking I was going to take him and I'd put it off and just waited too long.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>- What were some picks made that puzzled you?</strong></p><p> </p><p> Apparently I should have been puzzled by mine!</p><p> </p><p> No, the one section that threw me a bit was IronWarrior22 took Baby Jamie, Dwight Kumas and Erin Lawrence from rounds 13-15 and already had Darren Smith - 4 refs seems to be overkill.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?</strong></p><p> </p><p> Honestly not sure. I really like the roster, but just getting Australia to National, let alone past that, is rough. My 3rd region is just 75% importance, so I need popularity of 88% there just to hit National. Rough and if the importance dips any lower, almost impossible.</p>

<p><strong>- What was your goal in drafting your roster?</strong></p><p>

Have the heavyweights carry the load in national battles while building an earth-shatteringly good Junior division with guys who can eventually move to heavyweight down the line</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What picks were you most excited about?</strong></p><p>

Razan Okamoto, El Mitico Jr, and Ernest Youngman. Both Mitico and Youngman are super young and grow into performance beasts down the line. Both also have very good Selling stats to start, which is a rarity for Japanese workers so they will boost up the "dads" selling skills. Speaking of Selling, Razan has the best in the game to start and his combo of SQ, babyface ability, and selling peg him as someone who can grow into a Misawa-type figurehead down the line for the company.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- Are there any picks you regret?</strong></p><p>

Marat that early. After Dr_A grabbed Ugaki and Kozue I knew my only path to success was to ensure National Battle victories with hopes of stealing them down the line (Enter Yuma Maruya who not only is the top Joshi in Japan, but also married to Kozue to hopefully steal him away at a later date)</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What were some of your favorite picks made by other players?</strong></p><p>

HRTVAndrew - Eddie Peak and Mikey James - both I had tabbed for picks in the near future after he made them</p><p>

drmacbeth - Orange Tsuchie - guy is a great worker who isn't afraid to have a deathmatch either</p><p>

Dr_A - Where do I begin? Funakoshi, PRIDE, Sakai were all guys he nabbed just before me</p><p>

Uncrewed - Wolf Hawkins - anyone who follows WIRE knows my love for this man</p><p>

Kijar - Jay Chord - Unbelievable worker who is money if you can keep him in line backstage</p><p>

IronWarrior22 - Like how he ignored National battles and just seemed to go with workers he liked throughout</p><p>

DatIsraeliGuy - Sean McFly and Alicia Strong are a formidable 1-2 punch atop the roster</p><p>

Tardelli - Gino Montero - prayed he would fall to 1st pick in round 11, but Gino is amazing.</p><p>

willr0ck - Champion and Remo - Top of the card is set forever</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What were some picks made that puzzled you?</strong></p><p>

Interesting to see Kijar go with a non-Jr Heavyweight/Modern promotion for once. I really like how his promotion shook out.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?</strong></p><p>

Heavyweights = dad fights</p><p>

Juniors = unbelievable talent, interested to see who comes out on top</p><p>

Joshi = Yuma is the queen, but Higa is coming for the crown</p><p>

Deathmatch = No-rope, barb wire board time bomb death matches (see Sayeed Ali)</p><p>

Tag divisions = Black Magic and American Demolition in the heavy's, and some "dream-teams" in the junior divison</p>

<p>RDJ will be VVC's Owner and Head Booker.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What was your goal in drafting your roster?</strong></p><p>

Formulating the best group of both character and wrestler alike, but really just picking people from the C-Verse I like. This was my first C-Verse Draft, so there were so many people I really just wanted to give a home to. Also, a minor goal included crafting a women's division, as I have failed to do in nearly every draft in the past. Most times, I would just skip it entirely.</p><p>

<strong>- What pick were you most excited about?</strong></p><p>

Rich Money, most of all. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> The Pablo Rodriguez-Jay Chord thing worked out for me either way. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> The early nabs of Talia and Brooke. I love a lot of these guys. Most of them. I'll also highlight Stan Manna, Ryan Turner, and Steve Frehley.</p><p>

<strong>- Are there any picks you regret?</strong></p><p>

Stuntman without Acid II could've gone later. Mainstream Hernandez, maybe. I unfortunately didn't bother to make room for a ref or a road agent. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

<strong>- What were some of your favorite picks made by other players?</strong></p><p>

<strong>macbeth:</strong> ADAM MATRAVERS. My biggest blunder of the draft. Greg Gauge, Luke Steele.</p><p>

<strong>Andrew:</strong> Mikey James. Also "Shocking" Matt Hocking.</p><p>

<strong>hitmen:</strong> The Bulldozer. Also, shout-out to you for noting my change of product for once. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

<strong>Avalanche:</strong> Mabuchi Furusawa. The late KAZ, I like it. </p><p>

<strong>Uncrewed:</strong> The Natural! Tom Townsend, apparently lol (sent it to you on a list yesterday). Casey Valentine. Wolf Hawkins, Intrepid Ian Identity Colt <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

<strong>IronWarrior:</strong> Acid II! <strong>- What were some picks made that puzzled you?</strong></p><p>

None really.</p><p>

<strong>- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?</strong></p><p>

It's going to be a very fun challenge for me to try and fit all of my favorite characters that I managed to get on the roster. I don't know how willing I will be to have some people put others over. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> An actual fun challenge. Plus, a lot of stiff competition. Very well-crafted rosters from my comrades.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>
