That was until Jaguar challenged him to a "friendly" match for the TV title and then attacked him from behind following a 6-man tag team match.</p><p> </p><p> The Xtreme Championship will also be defended, as champion Jack Avatar goes up against the cocky California Love Machine.</p><p> </p><p> American Elemental II defends his CZCW Pacific Championship against # 1 contender, and all-around master of underhanded tactics, Masked Stranger.</p><p> </p><p> Also, the infuriated, giant Colossus will finally get his hands on the man who singled him out for elimination from the Coastal Zone just one month ago, the much younger, and equally ruthless Scythe. Scythe's Tri-State Championship will be on the line as well.</p><p> </p><p> The inaugural 6-man Golden Ticket Ladder Match will also be contested between Masked Cougar, Marvel Malloy, Amazing Fire Fly, Kamikaze, Hurakan and American Eagle II. The winner gets to cash in his "Golden Ticket" trophy for a shot at any Championship in CZCW. He can choose the time and place with no advance notice required for his opponent. He can also choose the match type, and even his partner if he chooses to challenge for Tag Team gold! The only restriction is it has to be done within 1 year of his victory.</p><p> </p><p> After a brutal attack on CZCW American Champion Ernest Youngman, a seemingly maniacal Frantic Ali challenged him for the gold. Youngman accepted when he evened up the ledger with a vicious sneak attack of his own. A third brawl between the 2 men ended up as a "draw," and now they will finally face off in the ring. Will Ali prove he's actually the "future of the business" as he put it? Or, will Youngman vindicate all those who gave him the moniker?</p><p> </p><p> Long-time tag team, the Ring Generals suddenly began to viciously attack CZCW Tag Team Champions Double Feature last month. Double Feature finally had enough and granted Statler and Waldorf a tag title shot in an attempt to get their hands on them. When even that wasn't enough for the Generals they took out Remus' knee backstage with a lead pipe and attempted to end Spade's career by bashing his head between 2 chairs. Luckily, Remus was able to hobble to the ring and make the save. He then informed The Ring Generals that their tag title match would now be a street fight!</p><p> </p><p> Finally, Greg Gauge will take his shot at dethroning CZCW Champion Darryl Devine in a ladder match. Gauge won the right to face Devine by winning the annual 30-Man Coastal Rumble match last month. Since then the 2 have faced each other in multiple tag team matches with neither man really able to get a leg up on the other. Gauge also unsuccessfully tried a sneak attack on Devine one week, only to tease a brawl then shake his hand the next week, so who's to say what Gauge may do! Find out that and more at CZCW Reach For The Sky!</p><p> </p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Match Card:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Lassana Makutsi vs. El Mitico Jr.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">CZCW Television Championship:</span></p><p> Felipe Caballero © vs. El Jaguar</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">CZCW Pacific Championship</span></p><p> American Elemental II © vs. Masked Stranger</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">CZCW Xtreme Championship</span></p><p> Jack Avatar © vs. California Love Machine</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Golden Ticket Ladder Match</span></p><p> Masked Cougar vs. Marvel Malloy vs. Amazing Fire Fly vs. Kamikaze vs. Hurakan vs. American Eagle II</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">CZCW Tri-State Championship</span></p><p> Scythe © vs. Colossus</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">CZCW American Championship</span></p><p> Ernest Youngman © vs. Frantic Ali</p><p> </p><p> Akima Brave vs. Bulldozer Brandon Smith</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">CZCW Tag Team Championship Street Fight</span></p><p> Double Feature © vs. The Ring Generals</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">CZCW Championship Ladder Match</span></p><p> Darryl Devine © vs. Greg Gauge</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Author's Note:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <em>For anyone predicting the shows, I would like to give you the option of choosing what I call "</em><em><strong>Option C,</strong></em><em>" for any of the matches. "</em><em><strong>Option C</strong></em><em>" is what you would choose to guess finishes like a double count out, double DQ, time limit draws and no contest style finishes where there is no clear-cut winner/winners. These types of finishes are a staple of wrestling and as such will occasionally be featured in this diary. With "</em><em><strong>Option C</strong></em><em>" on the table predictors will always have a chance to make a correct guess, whether the match has a clear winner or not. To choose </em><em><strong>"Option C"</strong></em><em> simply type it next to the desired match and don't highlight a winner.</em></p>

He was on fire in this one and put on an excellent performance nearly from start to finish. Mitico did as well, and this match was an absolute barn-burner to kick off Reach For The Sky. Makutsi's excellent, and often unheralded, brawling ability was on full display here and really seemed to catch Mitico by surprise. Mitico's no slouch as a brawler himself, but Makutsi was on a completely different level. As good as Makutsi was though, Mitico was just a bit better overall on this night, and won this one with his Northern Lights Suplex, a move nearly as picturesque as it's namesake, in 21:44.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: El Mitico Jr.</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 92</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="cnFU5LU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cnFU5LU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:18px;">CZCW Pacific Championship</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="OGK4uLv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OGK4uLv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:24px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="vbIgpzG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vbIgpzG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">©American Elemental II vs. Masked Stranger</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Our first title match of the evening, and it was obvious before the bell even rang that it was going to have a tough time following the opener. It did, but it was still a solid match on its own account. Masked Stranger is a pretty good wrestler, though a tad prone to cheating and fighting dirty, but he was no match for American Elemental II in this one. Stranger tried a handful of tights, but Elemental kicked out anyway. He took the top turnbuckle pad off to expose the steel, but Elemental reversed his Irish Whip attempt and Stranger took the hit instead. He tried a foot on the middle rope for leverage, but the referee put a stop to that too. Finally, Elemental put the finishing touches on this one, when Stranger couldn't cheat his way out of an American Earth Breaker (Irish Curse Backbreaker.)</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: ©American Elemental II</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 81</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="cnFU5LU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cnFU5LU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:18px;">CZCW Television Championship</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="Do80Ue4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Do80Ue4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:24px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="aAAOzRI.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/aAAOzRI.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">©Felipe Caballero vs. El Jaguar</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Before Referee Francis Long could call for the opening bell, El Jaguar asked for a mic. He "apologizes" to Caballero for the sneak attack a few weeks back and says he wants to let the past stay in the past, and again states his desire to just have a "friendly" match for the title. Caballero cautiously agrees and sticks his hand out for a shake. El Jaguar says "friends don't shake, they hug." Caballero rolls his eyes, but plays along and as the 2 men get nearly close enough to hug, Jaguar suddenly kicks Caballero directly in the crotch. Long shoves Jaguar back, but since the bell hadn't rung, his hands were tied. Jagaur starts to attack the now downed Caballero as Long reluctantly calls for the bell. The El Jaguar assault gave him a distinct advantage and he dominated the first 10 minutes of this match. Surprisingly, he never attempted a pin during this stretch, a mistake he surely regretted when Caballero rolled him up out of nowhere, and using a handful of tights, scored the pin to retain his title. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: ©Felipe Caballero</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 76</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="cnFU5LU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cnFU5LU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:18px;">Golden Ticket Ladder Match</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="rujGJQz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rujGJQz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="KTUfJa7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KTUfJa7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="Lpsr2d2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Lpsr2d2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="pcRjxNP.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pcRjxNP.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="zqNJk2t.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zqNJk2t.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="7VeIhPI.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7VeIhPI.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Masked Cougar vs. Marvel Malloy vs. Amazing Fire Fly vs. Hurakan vs. Kamikaze vs. American Eagle II</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The first annual Golden Ticket Ladder Match certainly didn't disappoint! With a championship opportunity on the line, all 6 competitors pushed themselves to the limit, with each man putting his body, and therefore his livelihood, on the line multiple times. After a Shooting Star Press from the top rope to the outside takes out everyone else, an exhausted and battered Amazing Fire Fly gets back into the ring and slowly starts up the ladder. As he's nearing the top Marvel Malloy climbs out of the pile of bodies at ringside, pulls him off the ladder and hits the Marvel Breaker (Code Breaker.) His execution was lacking though and Fire Fly simply stumbled back into the ropes instead of going down. Malloy quickly gets to his feet and clotheslines Fire Fly out of the ring before starting back up the ladder. He doesn't realize though that Fire Fly landed on his feet outside the ring. As Malloy was nearing the top, Fire Fly ran around the ring, hopped on the apron and did a springboard from the apron, landing on the ladder across from Malloy. Before Malloy could really react, Fire Fly slammed his head into the top of the ladder and hopped across him connecting with a Sunset Flip Powerbomb off the ladder. Amazingly, Fire Fly nearly landed on his feet, enabling him to quickly climb the ladder and retrieve the Golden Ticket for the win and guaranteed title shot.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: Amazing Fire Fly</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 86</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="cnFU5LU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cnFU5LU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:18px;">CZCW Xtreme Championship</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="brgzr2o.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/brgzr2o.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:24px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="TXYfd9M.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/TXYfd9M.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">©Jack Avatar vs. California Love Machine</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Despite his cocky attitude, California Love Machine didn't really live up to his own hype in this one. Double Feature was obviously out for revenge, but The Ring Generals seemed determined to end the careers of Remus and Spade. Mere moments into the brawl, Statler busted Remus open with a ear-splitting chair shot to the skull. Spade also wore the crimson mask following a sickening blow from the ring bell at the hands of Waldorf. Instead of going for the pin on their bloodied opponents, the Ring Generals tossed them over the top rope to the outside. Once they joined Double Feature at ringside, Waldorf and Statler took the ring steps apart on one side of the ring and delivered a spinebuster to Spade on the bottom half. Next, they set their sights on the already injured leg of Remus, which "someone" took out with a crowbar backstage a few weeks back. Again they took the steel steps apart on one side of the ring, but instead of a spinebuster, they tried to crush Remus' leg between the two halves. They drooped Remus' leg across the bottom half and Statler held it down. Then, Waldorf took the top half of the steps, lifted them high above his head, and was about to drop them on the leg. Remus managed to wiggle his leg free though, kick away Statler and roll out of the way just in time to dodge the falling steps before they could potentially cripple him. Remus then hit a low blow on Waldorf to turn the match in his team's favor. </p><p> </p><p> As Spade was trying to recover on the other side of the ringside area, Remus began to take it to Waldorf and Statler using anything that wasn't nailed down. He used steel chairs, the ring bell, the top half of the steel steps, a kendo stick he found under the ring, a trashcan, and even a gold chain wrapped around his fist that he borrowed from a particularly ostentatious fan in the first row. By this point Spade was able to rejoin the match, although with a near-constant grimace on his face. However, The Ring Generals aren't one of the most well-respected tag teams in the business for nothing, and it didn't take long until they were in control again. </p><p> </p><p> This time with Remus downed at ringside, Waldorf and Statler looked to put the finishing touches on this one by taking out Spade in the ring. Waldorf laid a chair down near the corner and climbed backwards up to the middle turnbuckle, while Statler drug a dazed Spade towards the corner. As Statler began to set Spade up in the piledriver position, their intentions became obvious, they were going for a spike piledriver onto the steel chair. However, just as Waldorf was about to jump from the middle rope, Remus made the save, attacking Statler from behind. Spade fell to the mat as Statler and Remus' brawl spilled back outside. Then Waldorf climbs down, picks Spade up and goes for the piledriver onto the chair by himself. Spade reverses it though and back body drops Waldorf onto the steel chair. Waldorf somehow pops right back up, but as he turns around, he's immediately hit with the Supreme Stunner (RKO) out of nowhere onto the steel chair. Spade makes the cover and gets the 3 count sealing the victory for his team. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winners: ©Double Feature</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 95</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="cnFU5LU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cnFU5LU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">CZCW American Championship</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="GX9xHZD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GX9xHZD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:24px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="QK4NYeL.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/QK4NYeL.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">©Ernest Youngman vs. Frantic Ali</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Frantic Ali was like a man possessed to start this match. This time, suspecting Gauge was just playing mind games, Devine slapped his hand away and told him to "cut the crap and fight." A sly smile from Gauge confirmed Devine's suspicions and the match was underway.</p><p> </p><p> The two men brawl for a bit and the action makes its way outside and towards the ladder set up at ringside. Gauge is the first to make use of the ladder as he knocks it over onto a downed Devine. Gauge then puts the ladder in the ring and as he tries to set it up Devine comes back in and they brawl some more. Gauge gets the upper hand and hits a few suplexes to break up the "street fighting" and inject a bit more technique. Gauge controls the action for a bit, but Devine makes a nice run and we get a bit more mat wrestling than you would normally see in a ladder match as the 2 men show off their technical prowess. </p><p> </p><p> We're roughly 15 minutes in when Devine hits the Devine Dream Drop (Pedigree) and the first real attempt at the title hanging high above the ring is made. Devine makes the slow climb and actually manages to get a hand on his title, but Gauge saves his championship opportunity with some well-timed forearm blows to the lower back. With Devine safely back on the mat, Gauge goes on the attack, focusing on the lower back of Devine. He works Devine over for several minutes before locking in the Proton Lock (Sharpshooter,) despite the fact that he can't win the match with it. After what had to seem like an eternity for Devine, he was finally able to pull himself over and under the bottom rope forcing Gauge to break the hold as Devine slipped to the arena floor. </p><p> </p><p> With Devine out, Gauge heads for the ladder, and with it already set up and Devine outside, it seemed Gauge would take the title with ease. Like Devine, Gauge was also able to get a hand on the belt, but also like Devine, Gauge's attempt would be thwarted. Devine, obviously in excruciating pain from the long-held Proton Lock, managed to save his title as he burst into the ring sporting a steel chair he had taken from under the ring and whacked Gauge across the upper back, just before he crumpled to the canvas, oddly in sync with Gauge's collapse from the ladder. Despite the obvious pain, and almost without hesitation, both men crawled towards opposing sides of the ladder and began the arduous climb to the top. They made it to the summit simultaneously and began to trade stiff forearm shots. After a particularly hard shot had Gauge reeling, Devine quickly grabbed hold of the title and tried to wrestle it free. He almost had it too, until the opportunistic Gauge viciously poked him in the eye. Luckily for Devine though, he had the wherewithal to grab at the title a second time as he was falling, and he crashed to the mat with the title clutched firmly against his chest. As Devine's music hit, Gauge could only look up in disbelief at the now vacant ring that once held the title. Devine retains at 27:31.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: ©Darryl Devine</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 96</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Author's Note: </span></strong>Rhyme1234 nearly hit the sweep missing only the 6-man Golden Ticket Ladder Match and the Brave/Bulldozer Time Limit Draw to score 8 out of 10. CZCW: Coast To Coast

YFYc5OT.jpg

When: Monday, Week 2, September 2019

Where: Sacramento, California

Attendance: 12,000

PnzmqSY.jpg

Greg Gauge is out to start the show and he doesn't look happy. He grabs a mic and says it's a fluke that Devine beat him at Reach For The Sky. He says if it had been a "good, old-fashioned wrestling match" instead of a "trashy ladder match," then Devine would've had no chance to come out on top. He finishes by challenging Devine to a "real match" for the title at Hardcore Halloween and giving him until the end of the show to respond!

CZCW Televison Championship # 1 Contender Battle Royal

Acid II vs. Flash Savage vs. Frankie-Boi Fernandes vs. Grimm Quibble vs. Jason Thunder vs. Lightning Lomas vs. Jules Night vs. Bullet Rivera vs. Onslaught vs. Pierrot vs. Sayeed Ali vs. Sonny Wildside vs. Zel Quinn vs. Rocky Weatherfield vs. Sky King [/center]

The final four were Rocky Weatherfield, Sayeed Ali, Sonny Wildside and Frankie-Boi Fernandes. From there Ali eliminated Frankie-Boi and Weatherfield, only to be eliminated from behind by Wildside when Ali's momentum from clotheslining Weatherfield out left him leaning slightly over the top rope, making him easy pickings for the opportunistic Wildside.

Winner: Sonny Wildside

Match Grade: 66

Akima Brave and Bulldozer Brandon Smith are in the ring together and surprisingly seem friendly. They say they have an all new respect for one another after their match went to a time-limit draw at Reach For The Sky with neither man able to put the other away. Both men admit that the other was much better than they initially thought and they've decided they would make better friends than enemies. With that in mind they are here to challenge the winner of tonight's main event between Double Feature and The Ring Generals to a Tag Team Championship match at Hardcore Halloween.

Xavi Ferrera vs. La Gran Uva vs. Guerrero Muerto

Xavi Ferrera was seen by most as the cream of the crop in this match and therefore a pretty sure thing to win. Those folks were proven right, but it didn't come as easy as most would have thought. La Gran Uva and Muerto showed themselves to be very capable performers in this one and gave Ferrera a good run for his money. Uva in particular, nearly had Ferrera pinned on two separate occassions only for the pin to be broken up at the last second my Muerto. The finish came when Uva hit his Grape Press (Shooting Star Press) on Muerto, only to be immediately tossed through the middle ropes to the outside by Ferrera, who made the quick cover on Muerto, adding a foot to the bottom rope for good measure, and picked up the win.

Winner: Xavi Ferrera

Match Grade: 68

Colossus is storming into every room in the backstage area looking for Scythe. After entering a pitch black room, the door suddenly slams shut leaving the cameraman outside. A ruckus is heard inside, followed by a loud thud. Moments later the door bursts open and when no one exits, the cameraman slowly enters. He nearly trips over something, but catches himself and reaches back to turn on the light. He turns back and focuses in on what used to be a rare sight, but one that is becoming increasingly common these days, the giant Colossus lying motionless on the ground. There was no one else in the room!

Marvel Malloy & Lassana Makutsi vs. Ernest Youngman & Kamikaze

Marvel Malloy and Lassana Makutsi worked so well together the first time they teamed that they decided to give it another shot. Ernest Youngman, fresh off a successful defense of his American Championship at Reach For The Sky, was looking to keep his momentum going. Kamikaze, well Kamikaze was just trying get something going period. However, it was Malloy who got something going in this one, a performance he topped off by pinning CZCW American Champion Ernest Youngman right in the middle of the ring.

Winners: Malloy & Makutsi

Teddy Powell vs. Masked Patriot vs. Air Attack Weasel

Masked Patriot was out first, followed by Air Attack Weasel. Teddy Powell was making his way to the ring next when he was blindsided half way there by Masked Stranger.

vbIgpzG.jpg

Stranger threw Powell into the steel barricade and began to put the boots to his midsection, only stopping when officials rushed out and pushed him away. Instead of leaving, Stranger ran down to the ring and grabbed a mic. He said Powell wasn't worthy of this opportunity since he's a has-been, heck maybe even a never-was. Plus, he wants another shot at American Elemental II and the Pacific Championship. So, he's going to take Powell's place in the match and no one can stop him. Referee Francis Long goes ringside and talks to the officials who pulled Stranger off Powell. After a few minutes he returns to the ring and briefly speaks with the ring announcer, who declares Stranger will indeed take Powell's spot in the match.

This was a solid, if unspectacular, triple threat match. Weasel was by far the standout performer in this one, and it seemed like his match to lose, but a mis-timed catapult to the outside resulted in a violent crash and burn to the arena floor, effectively eliminating him from the match. Stranger tried to take advantage of the now basically 1 on 1 match by doing what he does best, cheating! After "accidentally" taking out the referee by irish whipping Patriot into him, Stranger went outside for a steel chair. Once back in the ring, Stranger was about to level Patriot with the chair, when American Elemental II rushed to the ring, grabbed the chair away from Stranger and quickly slid out of the ring. As Stranger turned to chase, he was suddenly rolled up from behind by Masked Patriot and the referee, fresh off the mat just in time to miss the entire sequence, counted the 3.

Winner: Masked Patriot

Match Grade: 75

Another spectacular match from these 2 teams as The Ring Generals took their final shot at Double Feature. In stark contrast to their vicious Street Fight at Reach For The Sky, these 4 men put on a wrestling clinic in this one, trading armbars, suplexes and submission holds. That is until Statler and Waldorf, realizing they weren't actually going to be able to outwrestle Remus and Spade, resorted to their usual dirty tricks.

With Statler and Spade as the legal men, Waldorf managed to leave the ring apron without the ref or Remus noticing, pulled Remus off the apron and hit a low blow. As the referee realized what was going on he turned his back on Spade and Statler just as Waldorf slid a steel chair under the bottom rope towards his partner. The ref saw it though, and as he was removing it and arguing with Waldorf, Statler pulled a pair of brass knuckles from his trunks and took a swing at a distracted Spade. Fortunately though, Spade was able to avoid the punch and connect with a low blow of his own, quickly followed by a Supreme Stunner(RKO.) Spade then yelled for the ref, who quickly turned and counted the 3 before Waldorf could get in and break it up. Double Feature retains the Tag Titles at 21:20.

Winners: Double Feature

Match Grade: 92

Greg Gauge's theme blasts throughout the arena as he makes his way down to the ring for the second time tonight. He tells Darryl Devine that the time to make the "right" decision has come. The "right" decision of course being to give him a second shot at the CZCW Championship in a "good, old-fashioned wrestling match." After several minutes with no sign of Devine, a live feed of the backstage area suddenly appears on the video board above the entrance ramp.

0j2JIqU.jpg

Gauge looks on in disbelief as he sees Devine head out a back exit and climb into a sports car. That disbelief then turns to visible rage, as the car drives away from the arena and the show goes off the air.

Next Show: CZCW Coast To Coast

YFYc5OT.jpg

After Marvel Malloy pinned CZCW American Champion Ernest Youngman in tag team competition last week, Youngman has agreed to give Malloy a title shot for Hardcore Halloween. Also, after finally putting The Ring Generals in their rear view mirror, CZCW Tag Team Champions Double Feature have agreed to the challenge laid down last week by the now allied Bulldozer Brandon Smith and Akima Brave, and the two teams will meet for the titles at Hardcore Halloween. All 6 men will meet in tag team competition first though, as Marvel Malloy teams up with Akima Brave and Bulldozer Brandon Smith to take on Ernest Youngman and Double Feature.

CZCW Television Champion Felipe Caballero, CZCW Xtreme Champion Jack Avatar and CZCW Pacific Champion American Elemental II will meet their upcoming Hardcore Halloween challengers in 8-man tag team action.

Scythe defeated Dean Waldorf for the CZCW Tri-State Championship last month at Wave of Fury, but Waldorf was had his rematch as stipulated by CZCW company policy. Most likely because he was smart enough to know it was in his best interest to stay out of Scythe's way. Unfortunately for him though, the company "big wigs" aren't really interested in his fears and the rematch has been set for tonight's Coast to Coast. Maybe it should be Scythe who's afraid though, since a furious Colossus still hasn't gotten his revenge!

Finally, after failing to even acknowledge Greg Gauge's challenge for another shot at the CZCW Championship, Darryl Devine has said he'll be in attendance with a "more than fair" proposition for his would be challenger.

Match Card:

Marvel Malloy, Akima Brave and Bulldozer Brandon Smith vs. Ernest Youngman & Double Feature

Felipe Caballero, Jack Avatar, American Elemental II and Kamikaze vs. Sonny Wildside, Xavi Ferrera, Masked Patriot and California Love Machine.

That's why I left last week and never answered your challenge. As far as you not wanting to talk about your father, well you should probably reconsider because if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be standing in this ring with you right now. It's out of respect for him that we're even talking. Now, as I said a few days ago, I have an offer for you that I think is more than fair. I'll give you another shot for this title at Hardcore Halloween, but you're going to have to earn it. So tonight, we're going to have ourselves a tag team main event. I'll be teaming with El Mitico Jr. against you and a partner of your choosing. If you can win that match, then you'll get your second chance at Hardcore Halloween. How's that sound? Satisfied with what he'd accomplished, Colossus left the ring and made his way out of the arena. Although Devine and Gauge were the headliners here, and El Mitico Jr. is certainly no slouch, it might have been the small, young high-flier Amazing Fire Fly who stood out the most in this one. Taking advantage of his first main event opportunity, Fire Fly wowed the crowd with lots of flashy moves and slick reversals. At one point he could very well have single-handedly won Gauge a rematch, when he connected on his Sky High Fire Fly (Springboard Crossbody) finisher on El Mitico Jr. However, Mitico was able to roll through while holding onto Fire Fly and hit a running powerslam for a near-fall. From there, Devine and Mitico used some fine tag team work to isolate Fire Fly. However, they could only bend, but not break the resilient, high flier as he kicked out of multiple high-impact moves that probably should have finished the match. Once he was finally able to make a tag to Gauge, the match once again swung in their favor. This time it was for good though as Devine could only look on as Gauge submitted Mitico Jr. with the Proton Lock, (Sharpshooter) securing his rematch for Hardcore Halloween. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winners: Greg Gauge & Amazing Fire Fly</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 96</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Updated Prediction Standings:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Rhyme1234: <strong>20</strong></p><p> Smurphy1014: <strong>18</strong></p><p> theheel: <strong>5</strong></p><p> BHK1978: <strong>4</strong></p>

<p>I've finally caught up to where I left off in February, so I'll be posting a little slower than I have been so far. Instead of a show every day, it'll probably be more like a show every 2 to 4 days depending on my work schedule. After the applause dies down, he cuts a promo on his opponent for Hardcore Halloween, Greg Gauge.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Devine:</strong> <em>Greg Gauge is an outstanding wrestler. He can literally do it all! He can brawl, he can take it to the mat, he can take it to the sky, or he can simply grind you into submission. Hell, he could probably win Olympic gold or even have a successful career in MMA if he really wanted. </em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Devine:</strong> <em>But he chose professional wrestling, and professional wrestling as a whole is better for it. Of course we all know that wasn't just his decision. His father surely had a hand in it, and that's to be expected, given that his father is widely considered to be one of, if not the, top performers in wrestling history. I'm talking of course about the immortal Sam Keith! Now in the wrestling business, talent goes a long way toward getting you to the top, and as I said Greg Gauge is not lacking in talent. But it would take a fool to not realize that being the son of the great Sam Keith will give you a distinct advantage from the start. Surely many times in the rise to his current spot, Greg Gauge got his foot in a door that may have otherwise been closed to him, were it not for his famous father. Hell, that's practically the case here too, as I said last week that the only reason I even considered giving Greg a rematch is because of who his father is. </em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Devine: </strong><em>Here's what I like about Greg though. He could have refused my offer to earn his title rematch and instead went whining to his father, who we all know works here for CZCW. He probably would have gotten his way too. Instead, with no complaining, Greg took my offer to earn his rematch in a tag team match. A tag team match he had no particular reason to be confident he could win, especially with a partner who he had to find in less than two hours. A partner that ultimately he had never been in the ring with before as either a friend or foe. He won that match though, fair and square, right in the middle of this ring, and despite my best efforts. That's why at Hardcore Halloween, I'll be more than happy to give Greg his rematch. In fact, I'll be honored. You should know one thing though Greg. </em></p><p> </p><p> Devine's tone suddenly becomes much more serious as he focuses an intense stare towards the camera.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Devine:</strong> <em>No matter how good you are in this ring. No matter who your father is. Only divine intervention will separate me from this CZCW Championship title! Is God gonna be in your corner Greg? I know he'll be in mine!</em></p><p> </p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="YFYc5OT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YFYc5OT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="GX9xHZD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GX9xHZD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:24px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="i0azKZn.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/i0azKZn.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Ernest Youngman vs. Acid II</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="KTUfJa7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KTUfJa7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Marvel Malloy is ringside for this one, as Ernest Youngman gets back in the win column with an impressive win over the talented, but relatively inexperienced Acid II via The Hit (Running Knee) in 10:15.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: Ernest Youngman</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 75</strong></p><p> </p><p> As Youngman celebrates with the CZCW American Championship, Malloy mockingly applauds the victory before gesturing that the title would soon be his.</p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="YFYc5OT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YFYc5OT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="lT1nq9i.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/lT1nq9i.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:24px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="hwsCr0s.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hwsCr0s.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Sonny Wildside vs. Rocky Weatherfield</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Weatherfield, a former highly touted Wide Receiver in his college days, is a very promising young wrestler with just a little over two years in the business. However, despite his great performance, Weatherfield was on the receiving end of Wildside's Fear Factor finisher(Diving Double Foot Stomp) and certain defeat seemed imminent. Luckily for Weatherfield though, Felipe Caballero was out for revenge, and he exacted it by distracting Wildside before he could make the cover. This allowed Weatherfield enough time to partially recover and pull a distracted Wildside into a small package for a shocking three count.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: Rocky Weatherfield</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 69</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="Do80Ue4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Do80Ue4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> After the match, a furious Wildside tried to attack Weatherfield. Fast and fluid chain wrestling with a moderate dose of flashy aerial attacks was the name of the game in this one. Ultimately though, it was Masked Patriot who hit the final flashy aerial move of the match when he ran under a clothesline attempt by El jaguar, then nailed him on the rebound with his middle rope, springboard, corkscrew shoulder block finisher, the "Patriot Missile," for the pin.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: Masked Patriot</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 78</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="YFYc5OT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YFYc5OT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="TmhzhK5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/TmhzhK5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:24px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="YY7ZCwd.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YY7ZCwd.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Colossus vs. Sayeed Ali</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Sayeed Ali has never backed down from a fight in his life and the self proclaimed, "East Side Assassin," wasn't about to start now, immediately charging his much larger opponent the instant he entered the ring. This bold move worked as well as Ali could have hoped too, as he got in more offense on Colossus than any opponent in recent memory, sans Scythe. This advantage was fairly brief though as Colossus was back in the dominating position in just a couple minutes, violently lighting up Ali's chest in the corner with big, right hand chops. Colossus followed those up with a hard clothesline, a big boot to the face and a gorilla press slam. At that point, the end seemed near for Ali, as Colossus set up for his finishing move, the Crucifix Powerbomb. Sudden darkness put a stop to that though as the arena lights went out for the second time tonight. As expected, when the lights came back on Scythe was standing ringside. </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="kjFGbpZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kjFGbpZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> This of course, immediately drew the attention of Colossus, who flung Ali to the ground and started in the direction of Scythe. Before Colossus could take more than a couple steps toward Scythe though, the arena lights went down again. When they returned this time, Scythe was gone, replaced instead by Cerberus, crowbar in hand, standing in the ring behind an unsuspecting Colossus.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="Ksph4PJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ksph4PJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Cerberus, a man who spent almost 8 years in federal prison for violent crimes, began to bludgeon Colossus with the crowbar, leaving him a bruised and bloody mess by the time security officials could get to the ring and pull Cerberus away.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: Colossus by DQ</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 73</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="YFYc5OT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YFYc5OT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="FFWO079.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FFWO079.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:24px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="SYpJQeo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SYpJQeo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Spencer Spade vs. Akima Brave</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> After being utterly dominated in practically all interactions with Brave and Smith in last week's 6-man tag match, Spencer Spade was simply looking to solve the riddle of how to actually get some offense in on the physcially imposing duo. Brave however, was determined to continue his dominance, and it was Brave who succeeded for the most part, as he had little trouble with Spade in most of this match hitting one high-impact move after another. Spade refused to stay down for a three count though and after 16 minutes of wrestling that was almost all Brave, Spade was finally able to hit the great equalizer, the Supreme Stunner (RKO) out of nowhere for the 3 count.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: Spencer Spade</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 86</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="YFYc5OT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YFYc5OT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="cZ9Or68.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cZ9Or68.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:24px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="eQXWdPQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eQXWdPQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Xavi Ferrera vs. Guerrero Muerto</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Xavi Ferrera really impressed in this one, easily defeating the menacing looking Guerrero Muerto in just under 8 minutes with a flawless Frog Splash from over half-way across the ring. After many failed attempts to get Smith up for his Brainbuster Suplex finisher, Remus resorted instead to his Remus Clutch (Camel Clutch.) Smith refused to submit though and managed to fight his way out by repeatedly powering Remus backwards into the turnbuckle. Next Show: CZCW Coast To Coast

YFYc5OT.jpg

Almost every champion in the company will be in action for the final episode of Coast to Coast before Hardcore Halloween. The "powers that be" have decided, in the spirit of Halloween, to play a "trick" on the champions, as most of them will see that action in the form of a tag team match where they will be teaming with their challengers for Hardcore Halloween. So, it will be CZCW American Champion Ernest Youngman teaming with his challenger, Marvel Malloy to take on CZCW Television Champion Felipe Caballero and his challenger, Sonny Wildside. Also, CZCW Pacific Champion American Elemental II will be teaming with his challenger, Masked Patriot, to take on CZCW Xtreme Champion Jack Avatar and his challenger, Xavi Ferrera.

Also, a note on Jack Avatar and his CZCW Xtreme Championship match with Xavi Ferrera at Hardcore Halloween. The "powers that be" have declared that it's about time the name of the title actually meant something. So that match, and all future CZCW Xtreme Championship matches, must be contested under "Xtreme Rules." However, they've given no indication as to exactly what that means!

As stated above, almost all champions will be in action this week. The only exception to that being the CZCW Tri-State Champion Scythe, since his only viable challenger, Colossus, was brutally taken out by Cerberus last week. Speaking of Cerberus, he'll make his in-ring CZCW debut when he takes on Coastal Zone legend, Masked Cougar.

The exciting young tag team, The Pryce is Wright, will also be in action this week, as Prince Pryce and Robbie Wright face the charismatic Fro Sure and his seemingly uncompatible partner, the talented yet cocky, Lenny Brown.

Finally, our other champions haven't been forgotton, they've simply been saved for last. In our main event it will be CZCW Champion Darryl Devine teaming up with CZCW Tag Team Champions Double Feature to do battle with the #1 Contender to the CZCW Championship, Greg Gauge, and the #1 Contenders to the CZCW Tag Team Championships, Akima Brave & Bulldozer Brandon Smith.

Match Card:

Ernest Youngman & Marvel Malloy vs. Wildside & Caballero

American Elemental II & Masked Patriot vs. Jack Avatar & Xavi Ferrera

Cerberus vs. Masked Cougar

Fro Sure & Lenny Brown vs. The Pryce is Wright

CZCW Champion Darryl Devine & Double Feature vs. Greg Gauge, Akima Brave & Bulldzoer Brandon Smith

.

Author's Note:

For anyone predicting the shows, I would like to give you the option of choosing what I call "Option C," for any of the matches. "Option C" is what you would choose to guess finishes like a double count out, double DQ, time limit draws and no contest style finishes where there isn't a clear-cut winner/winners. These types of finishes are a staple of wrestling and as such will occasionally be featured in this diary. With "Option C" on the table predictors will always have a chance to make a correct guess, whether the match has a clear winner or not. To choose "Option C" simply type it next to the desired match and don't highlight a winner.
