Youngman would start the match in the ring with Caballero, but within ten seconds, and much to the chagrin of Caballero, Wildside would tag himself in by slapping Caballero hard on the back. After some solid back and forth action, Youngman took control of the match and attempted to tag in Malloy. Malloy refused though and stepped off the apron onto the nearby ring steps. At this point, Caballero was practically begging for a tag from Wildside who just mocked him instead. This pattern would continue for the rest of the match with Malloy refusing to tag in and Wildside refusing to tag out, basically making this a singles match of Youngman vs. Wildside. Youngman would figure to have the advantage in such a scenario, being a much more seasoned and accomplished competitor, and he did for the most part. However, Wildside really showed something to anyone who may have doubted him after the temper tantrum he threw last week when he lost to Rocky Weatherfield. Youngman probably would have won the match though if it weren't for Marvel Malloy, who held his own partners foot down from outside the ring during a Wildside pin attempt, resulting in a three count and a victory for Wildside and Caballero. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winners: Sonny Wildside & Felipe Caballero</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 85</strong></p><p> </p><p> After being "pinned," a furious Youngman immediately chased Malloy to the back and Wildside quickly left the ring to avoid a confrontation with his partner, Caballero. We head to commercial with the scene reversed from last week's Wildside match, with an amused Wildside leaving a frustrated Caballero, sans the temper tantrum, alone in the ring.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="YFYc5OT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YFYc5OT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="Ksph4PJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ksph4PJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:24px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="rujGJQz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rujGJQz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Cerberus vs. Masked Cougar</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> After Cerberus' vicious attack on Colossus last week, you could tell by his demeanor that Masked Cougar was on edge. That proved to be justified very early on in this one, as the first blow of the contest came in the form of a savage forearm to the kidneys of a briefly unsuspecting Cougar. The savagery didn't stop there though as Cerberus managed to land another shot to the kidneys, multiple pokes to the eye, and at least one low blow, all without the inexperienced, young referee seeing him. There was very little offense to be had for Cougar in this match, short of a few short flurries of punches and a piledriver attempt that he reversed into a back body drop. Despite his lack of offense, Cougar would end up the victor anyway. After Cerberus refused to release a guillotine style chokehold using the bottom rope, the referee was forced to disqualify him.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: Masked Cougar by DQ</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 75</strong></p><p> </p><p> After the DQ, Cerberus still refused to release the chokehold on Cougar. Several more referees came down, and although they were able to separate Cerberus from Cougar momentarily, Cerberus attacked them too and continued his choke. Suddenly a stitched and bruised Colossus charged down to the ring and went after Cerberus. </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="TmhzhK5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/TmhzhK5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Before he could reach him though, the arena lights went out. Despite having his time to shine, CZCW Champion Darryl Devine took the majority of the punishment in this one as it seemed Gauge, Brave and Smith had made it their sole mission to isolate him. It's no surprise that Gauge would want to wear down Devine, but it's almost like there was money involved for Brave and Smith, but who knows. Eventually though, Devine was able to make a hot tag to Spencer Spade, who was a one man wrecking crew upon entering and took back control of the match for his team. That control would be short-lived though. After Spade tagged in Roderick Remus, Remus went for his Brainbuster Suplex on Brave. The attempt was unsuccessful though, as Brave wiggled out as Remus was lifting him up and landed on his feet behind Remus. Brave then locked in a sleeper hold and hit Remus with his Samoan Suplex (Sleeper Suplex) finisher for the 3 count.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winners: Greg Gauge, Akima Brave & Bulldozer Brandon Smith</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 87</strong></p><p> </p><p> After the match, everyone left the ring area besides Devine and Gauge, who heatedly exchanged words as the show went off the air.</p><p> </p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Smurphy1014 correctly guessed 3 of 5 to tie Rhyme1234, who only came away with 1 correct prediction this week. Wildside won a 15-man battle royal on an episode of Coast to Coast last month to earn the shot. He cemented himself as a true challenger the next week though when he pinned Caballero in an 8-man tag match, albeit using a handful of trunks. Caballero got his revenge though, when he cost Wildside a singles match the next week against the promising, but very green, young rookie Rocky Weatherfield, inciting a post-match temper tantrum from Wildside. The two next found themselves as partners in a tag match set up by "the powers that be." That also didn't go well, as Wildside tagged himself into the match early on and then refused to tag back out, leaving Caballero steaming on the apron. Wildside did however manage to win the match for his team when he pinned CZCW American Champion Ernest Youngman with help from Youngman's partner Marvel Malloy. Will Caballero get a little more revenge at Hardcore Halloween, or will Wildside find yet another way to annoy Caballero and get his first taste of wrestling gold?</p><p> </p><p> In a match for the CZCW Pacific Championship, American Elemental II defends against the very impressive as of late Masked Patriot. Patriot got his title opportunity by winning a triple threat match against Elemental's last challenger Masked Stranger, and Air Attack Weasel. He then built even more momentum with a win in singles competition over 5-time CZCW Tag Team Champion El Jaguar, and more impressively, by pinning CZCW Xtreme Champion Jack Avatar in a tag team match the next week. Can Masked Patriot keep his hot streak going or will American Elemental II make his fifth successful defense of the title? </p><p> </p><p> "The powers that be" have finally clarified what they meant when they said all future CZCW Xtreme Championship matches would be contested under "Xtreme Rules." Apparently "Xtreme Rules" means the matches will not only be no holds barred, but also that falls will count anywhere! Will this new-found freedom lead to a new champion in Xavi Ferrera, or will Jack Avatar retain the CZCW Xtreme Championship for a record 13th consecutive time? </p><p> </p><p> CZCW American Champion Ernest Youngman has been pinned twice by Marvel Malloy in the past month. To top it off, Youngman was pinned a third time in that span at the hands of Malloy, when the two were forced to team up on Coast to Coast last week and Malloy held his own partners foot down as he was being pinned by Sonny Wildside. After the match, a furious Youngman chased Malloy from the arena. Malloy will get his chance to take part in yet another pinning of Youngman at Hardcore Halloween, this time with the CZCW American Championship on the line!</p><p> </p><p> Scythe's seemingly never-ending abuse of Colossus took a drastic turn for the worse when followers of Scythe began to viciously attack Colossus also. It started with an ominous warning from Scythe, who told Colossus that he had no idea what he had done when he blindsided Scythe after a match with Dean Waldorf, leaving him in a pool of his own blood. Scythe then claimed "I am Legion and we are many." What that meant exactly became clear later that night, when Colossus was brutally assaulted with a crowbar by a debuting Cerberus. It didn't stop there though as Scythe and Cerberus lured Colossus into a trap the next week, leading to the debut of yet another follower of Scythe, the huge Bear Bekowski. After the three men were done with Colossus, it appeared he would be out of action indefinitely. That wouldn't be the case though, as later that same night Colossus, apparently while in the midst of receiving medical attention, would challenge Scythe to a match at Hardcore Halloween. "The powers that be" granted his request, but not before declaring the match would not be sanctioned by CZCW and the company couldn't be held liable for anything that occurred. Scythe agreed but only if it was a Casket Match. Colossus accepted!</p><p> </p><p> Double Feature will make their 10th defense of the CZCW Tag Team titles against the recently formed, yet very formidable team of Akima Brave and Bulldozer Brandon Smith. Both Brave and Smith hold pinfall victories over Double Feature in the past two weeks in 6-man tag and singles competition respectively, with Roderick Remus taking the fall both times. Not only that, but Brave and Smith have physically dominated both men in almost all of their interactions. Can Brave and Smith add a third victory over Remus and Spade in as many weeks, this time when it counts? If so, will Remus take the fall yet again and if so, what will Spade have to say about that? </p><p> </p><p> Last, but not least, the Main Event of the night will see Darryl Devine making his second straight PPV defense of the CZCW Championship against Greg Gauge. Devine of course won the first encounter, but Gauge wasn't satisfied, claiming that since it was a Ladder Match it didn't really prove anything. Devine said he normally wouldn't give someone another chance due to such a claim, but he would give Gauge a chance to earn another shot since he had so much respect for Gauge's father, the wrestling icon, Sam Keith. Despite Gauge taking exception to Devine bringing his father into the conversation, he accepted the challenge and earned another crack at Devine by teaming with Golden Ticket holder Amazing Fire Fly to defeat Devine and El Mitico Jr in a tag team match. The battle between the two ramped up a notch though when Devine claimed that not only had Gauge became a wrestler just to be like his father and not because he had an actual passion for it, but also by claiming that Gauge had only gotten to where he is by getting favors from his father. Gauge took great exception to this claiming that his father had never "so much as mumbled a good word" in his favor and he got to where he is in the wrestling business with no favors from anyone. He then vowed to take the CZCW Championship from Devine at Hardcore Halloween, just like he had done everything else in his entire career, "with no help from anyone!"</p><p> </p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Match Card:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">CZCW Television Championship</span></p><p> © Felipe Caballero vs. Sonny Wildside</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">CZCW Xtreme Championship - No Holds Barred, Falls Count Anywhere</span></p><p> © Jack Avatar vs. Xavi Ferrera</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">CZCW Pacific Championship</span></p><p> © American Elemental II vs. Masked Patriot</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">CZCW Tri-State Championship Casket Match</span></p><p> © Scythe vs. Colossus</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">CZCW Tag Team Championship</span></p><p> © Double Feature vs. Akima Brave & Bulldozer Brandon Smith</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">CZCW American Championship</span></p><p> © Ernest Youngman vs. Marvel Malloy</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">CZCW Championship</span></p><p> © Darryl Devine vs. Greg Gauge</p><p> </p><p> <span style="color:#FFFFFF;">.</span></p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Author's Note:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <em>For anyone predicting the shows, I would like to give you the option of choosing what I call "</em><em><strong>Option C,</strong></em><em>" for any of the matches. Running a little behind, but I should have Hardcore Halloween posted by sometime tomorrow. Thanks again to anyone following along and a special thanks to anyone who's taken the time to vote for me in the C-Verse Diary of the Month poll so far. It's greatly appreciated!

Patriot tried everything in his arsenal to prevent Elemental from making a fifth successful defense here, even breaking out his rarely used secondary finisher, the Patriot Plex (Delayed Butterfly Suplex), but to no avail. That is until "the powers that be" decreed that it was about time for the word Xtreme in the title's name to actually mean something. At which point they changed this, and all future CZCW Xtreme Championship matches, to no holds barred, falls count anywhere, "Xtreme Rules" matches. </p><p> </p><p> Luckily for Ferrera though, even with those "Xtreme Rules" in place, and despite many opportunities where it would have given him an advantage, Avatar never once used a weapon. It was almost like he had a moral objection to it. Ferrera obviously had no such objection, as he waisted little time hitting the ringside area to grab a steel chair almost as soon as the bell rang. Avatar was able to fight off Ferrera's foreign object offense at first, but Ferrera eventually took control of the match when he whipped Avatar into the steel steps. From there Avatar was primed to be taken out, and he almost was, when Ferrera put him through the announce table with a Frog Splash from the top rope and gained a very close near fall on top of the debris. From there, Avatar would use the momentum he gained from kicking out of Ferrera's finisher through the announce table, to wrangle control of the match back from Ferrera. He wouldn't concede that control from there on either, and wrapped up his 13th consecutive title defense with an All American Slam (Angle Slam) right in the middle of the ring.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: ©Jack Avatar</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 81</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="wfpofML.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wfpofML.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:18px;">CZCW American Championship</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="GX9xHZD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GX9xHZD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:24px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="KTUfJa7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KTUfJa7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">©Ernest Youngman vs. Marvel Malloy</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> With two pinfall victories over Youngman in as many weeks, Malloy seemed primed to take home the gold here. Youngman wasn't going to give it up without a fight though, especially after Malloy screwed him in their tag match on Coast to Coast, and he aggressively attacked Malloy right out of the gate. </p><p> </p><p> He battered Malloy with hard strikes and power moves, getting several near falls and dominating this match for the first ten minutes. Malloy just wouldn't quit though, and the more times he kicked out of a potential match-ender, the more frustrated Youngman became. That resilience would eventually pay huge dividends for Malloy, when Youngman, frustrated by yet another near fall, began to complain to the referee that his count was slow. With Youngman's back turned, Malloy rolled him up from behind for a near fall of his own, but as Youngman quickly got back to his feet and lunged at Malloy, he was caught with the Marvel Breaker (Code Breaker) out of nowhere for the three count, and a sudden end to his title reign.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: Marvel Malloy</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 76</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="wfpofML.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wfpofML.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:18px;">CZCW Tri-State Championship - Casket Match</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="kjFGbpZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kjFGbpZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:24px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="TmhzhK5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/TmhzhK5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">© Scythe vs. Colossus</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Following months of mostly one-sided encounters, Colossus finally got a real shot to get his hands on Scythe in this non-sanctioned Casket Match. It was a short-lived opportunity though, as once again Sycthe's followers interjected themselves into the confrontation. Just a few minutes into the match, Colossus was set upon by both Bear Bekowski and Cerberus. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="qxN4T9c.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qxN4T9c.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Ksph4PJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ksph4PJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Although Colossus put forth a valiant effort, the three were just too much for one man, even one the size of Colossus, to fend off. After relentlessly brutalizing Colossus for nearly 15 minutes, the trio mercifully put an end to the match by locking him in the casket.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: © Scythe</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 77</strong></p><p> </p><p> It turned out that their act of mercy was actually anything but. Instead it was just the first step of a heinous act. With Colossus firmly secured in the casket, the trio rolled it out of the arena and into the back parking lot. Once there, Scythe sent Cerberus to retrieve something from a nearby dumpster. When Cerberus emerged from the dumpster enclosure, he was carrying a can of gasoline in one hand and an ax in the other. He first handed the ax to Bekowski, who proceeded to chop two large holes in the lid of the casket. Cerberus followed that up by dousing the casket in gasoline, making sure to get plenty into the holes Bekowski just chopped. He then pulled a lighter from his back pocket and handed it to his leader. Scythe lit the lighter, and paused briefly before letting out a deranged laugh as he tossed the still burning lighter onto the casket, setting it ablaze.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="wfpofML.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wfpofML.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:18px;">CZCW Tag Team Championship</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="rKqJHUR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rKqJHUR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="FFWO079.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FFWO079.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:24px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="SYpJQeo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SYpJQeo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Msq2cWA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Msq2cWA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">©Double Feature vs. Akima Brave & Bulldozer Brandon Smith</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> This was an exceptional match. Quite possibly the best CZCW tag team match of all-time. Any residual murmurs of Brave or Smith being over the hill were soundly put to rest here, with both men putting on top notch performances against their much younger opponents. They weren't the only ones to put on top notch performances though, as Spade and Remus finally seemed to solve the riddle of getting some consistent offense in on their much larger adversaries. </p><p> </p><p> The match started with some brawling between Remus and Brave, with Brave eventually getting the upper hand. Frequent tags from Brave and Smith helped to cut the ring in half, effectively making this a handicap match for a time. Brave and Smith functioned like a well-oiled tag team machine, despite their relatively brief experience together, and with two men of their stature, that's a hard thing to overcome. Remus did overcome it though, finally making a tag to Spade, who as usual, was a house of fire upon entering. Spade quickly gave Double Feature the momentum as he sent Brave to the canvas and Smith tumbling off the apron to the arena floor with some stiff superkicks, bringing the crowd of almost 30,000 to their feet. </p><p> </p><p> From there Spade hit his Supreme Stunner (RKO) on Brave, but Brave rolled under the ring ropes on impact. This gave Smith enough time to climb in from outside and break up the pin attempt with some clubbing forearms to the spine, as Spade tried to drag Brave away from the ropes. Smith then went back out onto the apron as Brave and Spade both started towards their corner to make a tag. Brave got to his corner first and Smith managed to rush across the ring and plow into Remus, knocking him off the apron and into the barricade before Spade could reach him. After a brief brawl, Smith took the advantage and called for his Tombstone Piledriver to finish this one. He picked Spade up into position, but Spade began to kick his feet, and in an impressive display of strength, managed to reverse his much larger opponent into position, hitting his own Tombstone Piledriver. As he went for the cover Brave tried to get in the ring to break up the pin, but Remus had recovered from the barricade shot, and he held Brave by the foot long enough for the ref to count the 3. Double Feature makes their 10th successful defense of the CZCW Tag Team Championship. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winners: ©Double Feature</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 98</strong></p><p> </p><p> As Double Feature celebrated, Brave helped Smith to his feet and the four men came face to face. Despite this being just their second one on one match ever, these two knew each other so well, it was like every single move was telegraphed. Despite this, both men did eventually manage to hit all of their signature moves and spots. Devine struck first in that regard, connecting with the Devine Dream Drop (Pedigree) to come within a fraction of a second of retaining his title. The end of the match came when Greg Gauge was finally able to successfully apply his finisher, the Proton Lock (Sharpshooter). Unfortunately for Gauge though, Devine would hold on for almost 3 full minutes without submitting, which was just long enough for the 30 minute time limit to expire. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: None - Time Limit Draw</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 99</strong></p><p> </p><p> Despite the ring announcer clearly counting down from 10, with audience participation, as the time-limit expired, Greg Gauge began to celebrate as if he'd won the title. When referee Francis Long explained to him that the time-limit had expired and he actually wasn't the champion, he became livid. He violently shoved Long to the canvas and made his way to the ringside area. Once there, he trashed the new announcers desk and shoved the ring announcer down before grabbing the ring bell and climbing back into the ring. As Devine drug himself towards the ropes, Gauge stood over him with the ring bell drawn back over his head, ready to strike. After a long pause, a seemingly conflicted Gauge lowered the bell and tossed it aside before offering a hand to Devine. Devine accepted, and Gauge helped him to his feet as the broadcast ended. </p><p> </p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> In a neat, well I think it's neat, little coincidence, all <strong>four </strong>predictors, Smurphy, Rhyme1234, BigJay2003 and 123Kidd, correctly guessed <strong>four </strong>out of 7 matches. </p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Updated Prediction Standings:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Rhyme1234: <strong>28</strong></p><p> Smurphy1014: <strong>28</strong></p><p> 123Kidd: <strong>7</strong></p><p> BigJay2003: <strong>6</strong></p><p> theheel: <strong>5</strong></p><p> BHK1978: <strong>4</strong></p>

Next Show: CZCW Coast to Coast

YFYc5OT.jpg

With a successful Hardcore Halloween in the books, we now set our sights on Showdown At Sundown in just four weeks.

The biggest news coming out of Hardcore Halloween, was the match that many are calling the best match in CZCW History. CZCW Champion Darryl Devine went to a time-limit draw with his challenger Greg Gauge, holding on for nearly three full minutes in Gauge's Proton Lock finisher without submitting as the clock expired. After the match, Gauge began to celebrate thinking he had won the title. When he was informed by Referee Francis Long that the time-limit had expired instead, he attacked Long. He then trashed the new announcers desk and attacked ring announcer Herm Scott, before taking the ring bell into the ring to use as a weapon against Devine. He had second thoughts though, and chose to help a hobbled Devine to his feet instead of clobbering him with the bell. He'll be on hand tonight, supposedly to deliver an apology. He'll also be in singles action in the main event, taking on El Mitico Jr.

New CZCW Televison Champion Sonny Wildside will be on the show, with what he's calling a "historic announcement." I'm sure everyone, especially former Television Champion Felipe Caballero, will be interested in what he has to say.

The other new champion following Hardcore Halloween, CZCW American Champion Marvel Malloy, won't be appearing on the show. However, former champion Ernest Youngman will, and he's got a message for Marvel Malloy.

With CZCW Xtreme Champion Jack Avatar's successful defense of his title at Hardcore Halloween over Xavi Ferrera, he'll now be looking for a new challenger. He'll get one tonight on Coast to Coast when 20 men battle in an over-the-top-rope battle royal to determine his new #1 contender.

CZCW Pacific Champion, American Elemental II, will also find out who his new #1 contender is, when Frantic Ali, Air Attack Weasel, Kamikaze and Xavi Ferrera do battle in a Fatal Four Way.

A shot at the CZCW Tag Team Champions, Double Feature, will also be on the line when Golden Ticket holder Amazing Fire Fly teams up with Lassana Makutsi to take on The Masked Cats, El Jaguar and Masked Cougar, and The Pryce is Wright in triple threat tag team action.

Also, Bulldozer Brandon Smith will look to bounce back following his tag team loss to the aforementioned Double Feature at Hardcore Halloween, when he faces Rocky Weatherfield.

Finally, what will Scythe and his followers have to say for themselves following the heinous act they perpetrated on Colossus last night, when they set the casket he was locked in on fire?

Sorry for the delay in posting, but the next show's a little promo heavy compared to what I usually do and that takes me a bit longer than a match heavy show. Thanks again to anyone taking the time to follow along!

Not just because I couldn't get the job done when it counted the most, at Hardcore Halloween with the title on the line. But also because of my childish and indefensible actions immediately after that loss. I knew that the time limit had expired. I heard the countdown just like every other living, breathing thing in that arena did. I chose to ignore it though. I chose to act like a spoiled brat, which was basically the exact thing Darryl had been accusing me of in the weeks leading up to Hardcore Halloween.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Gauge:</span></strong> <em>I denied it before, and although I still contend that I didn't get any favors from anyone to get to where I am, I did absolutely nothing to prove I was a real man and not a spoiled brat at Hardcore Halloween. A show where real men, men like Darryl Devine, prove themselves worthy of your hard-earned money every single time they step foot in this ring. You deserve better, and I promise you that from now on you'll get only the best from me! Week in and week out, I'll give 110% and you'll never fail to get your money's worth from a Greg Gauge match ever again!</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Gauge:</span></strong> <em>Now, if you're willing, I want you to come out here Darryl. That didn't happen here because there weren't any big men in the match. What did happen though, was everyone teamed up on Masked Stranger and eliminated him first. Why? Well, because he's annoying and no one likes him! With Stranger out of the way the real match could start, and it started with a bang for Fro Sure as he eliminated Pierrot, La Gran Uva, Jules Night and Zel Quinn in a matter of minutes. Not to be outdone, Lenny Brown made fairly quick work of Kid Fantastic, Lightning Lomas, Frankie-Boy Fernandes and Mimic. </p><p> </p><p> The eliminations settled down a lot from there and the match pushed past the 12 minute mark with eight men still left in the ring. That number was quickly cut in half though when Marv Statler and Dean Waldorf eliminated Jason Thunder, only for Waldorf to then eliminate his own partner with a clothesline from behind. As Waldorf laughed at his now eliminated partner, he too was eliminated by an opportunistic Bret Heartbreak, who was in turn eliminated by Fro Sure to give the charismatic brawler his fifth elimination. This left a final four of Acid II, Fro Sure, Hurakan and Lenny Brown. </p><p> </p><p> Hurakan would be the first of the four to go when he committed one of the cardinal sins of a battle royal, going to the top rope. As he was irish whipped towards the corner by Acid II, he decided to run up the turnbuckle to do some sort of springboard attack, but when he reached the top rope he was suddenly pushed hard from behind by Lenny Brown which sent him flying completely over the ring post and to the ringside mats. With Hurakan now eliminated Acid II set his sights on a downed Fro Sure. It was a big mistake though, since Fro Sure, who was just playing possum, quickly came to life as Acid II approached him and effortlessly tossed the youngster over the top rope for his sixth elimination. </p><p> </p><p> Now with just each other to go through, Fro Sure and Brown began to brawl. Fro Sure thought he'd won it when he clotheslined Brown over the top rope, but Brown somehow managed to land on the apron. As Fro Sure came over to try and finish the elimination, Brown used a choke hold to pull Fro Sure over the rope and onto the apron with him. With both men on the apron, teetering on the edge of elimination, they began to trade hard right hands. Brown took the advantage when he stopped punching and raked Fro Sure in the eyes instead, dropping him to his knees. However, if Brown wasn't going to play fair then neither was Fro Sure, so Fro sure hit him with a low blow. With Brown now bent forward in agony, he was in prime position for Fro Sure to hit the Sure Thing (Piledriver) on the apron, which sent Brown tumbling to the arena floor in defeat.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: Fro Sure</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 74</strong></p><p> </p><p> After the match, CZCW Xtreme Champion Jack Avatar joined Fro Sure in the ring. </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="odl4nrm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/odl4nrm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="brgzr2o.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/brgzr2o.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Avatar:</span></strong> <em>First of all, I just want to congratulate Fro Sure on a hard-fought victory and say that I'll be honored to defend my title against him at Showdown At Sundown. What won't honor me though, is having to defend the title under such barbaric and pointless stipulations as no holds barred and falls count anywhere. I'm obviously no pacifist, but I don't need weapons or other cheap gimmicks to win. I'll simply wrestle my way to victory and I'll finish my matches the old-fashioned way, right in the middle of the ring!</em></p><p> </p><p> Avatar shakes Fro Sure's hand, drops the mic and leaves the ring. Fro Sure picks the mic up though.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Fro Sure: </span></strong><em>Look man I feel ya, but I ain't goin' out like that! First though, I just want to say how thankful I am to be in this position! How thankful I am to be beloved by all the fans here in the Coastal Zone! How thankful I am to be so deeply admired by all my co-workers in the back! How thankful I am to be one of the very best wrestlers in the world today! And although I couldn't have done it without me, I really owe it all to one man, Felipe Caballero. Felipe, without you I may never have realized just how great I am. Just how skilled I am in this ring and how lucky my wife is to have me, instead of some sloven, taco-breathed loser like you! You are, without a doubt, the single worst wrestler I've ever been in the ring with, and if I could use just two words to describe your "reign" with this title, I would have to say Paper Champion!</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Wildside:</span></strong><em> Now with the pleasantries out of the way, we can get down to my announcement. With Felipe being such a paper champion, I think it's only fitting that I, Sonny Wildside, restore glory to the CZCW Television Championship! Glory it's long been missing with Felipe's "reign of boredom" in full effect. I'll begin that process next week when I put this title on the line on Coast to Coast. It'll continue the next week when I defend it yet again and the week after that when I defend it again. Are you catching a pattern here Felipe? A Television Champion defending his title on television? What a novel idea, a true fighting champion! </em></p><p> </p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="YFYc5OT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YFYc5OT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">CZCW Pacific Championship # 1 Contender Fatal Four Way</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="QK4NYeL.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/QK4NYeL.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:24px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="2hm124e.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2hm124e.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:24px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="zqNJk2t.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zqNJk2t.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:24px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="cZ9Or68.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cZ9Or68.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Frantic Ali vs. Air Attack Weasel vs. Kamikaze vs. Xavi Ferrera</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> Kamikaze took to the air early and often. Air Attack Weasel attempted to use his vast experience edge to savvy his way to the title shot, and Xavi Ferrera simply tried to muscle his way to victory. Ultimately this clash of styles led to a match that was kind of a mixed bag, with no one really able to get into a rhythm. The final part of the match saw Frantic Ali take control and down all three of the others with power moves. From there he perched Kamikaze onto the top turnbuckle and attempted a Superplex. Kamikaze was able to fight it off though, and shove Ali to the mat. They're definitely talented individually, but as a team they just didn't have it. They looked completely out of place against the 5 time CZCW Tag Champs, The Masked Cats, and the self-proclaimed "Team of the Future", The Pryce is Wright. They just really weren't a factor in this one at all. However, The Masked Cats showed why they were the former 5 time champs, flawlessly executing double team move after double team move and keeping themselves fresh with frequent tags. The Pryce is Wright seemed determined though to eliminate any potential doubters that remained and once they took control of the match they never relinquished it. When the opportunity to isolate Masked Cougar presented itself, Pryce and Wright didn't let it pass them by, wrapping up the title shot with their finisher, "Come On Down" (TM61's Thunder Valley) at 14:54.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winners: The Pryce is Wright</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 81</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="YFYc5OT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YFYc5OT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="SYpJQeo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SYpJQeo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Akima Brave is walking down a long corridor backstage when he's suddenly blindsided by Bear Bekowski and Cerberus. </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="qxN4T9c.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qxN4T9c.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Ksph4PJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ksph4PJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> After being mauled for several minutes, Brave manages to take the upper hand. Neither of those things stopped him from giving Smith just about all he could handle though. In fact had his opponent been just about anyone else he might have had a pinfall victory, as Smith kicked out of his Implant DDT finisher when few others probably would have. Still, Smith eventually had him right where he wanted him as he set up for the Tombstone Piledriver. However, as is prone to happen around CZCW as of late, the lights went out. The difference this time though, was when they came back on there was no Scythe or any of his followers in the ring. Instead, Rocky Weatherfield was draped across an apparently unconscious Bulldozer Brandon Smith. Since he didn't see anything happen, the referee had no choice but to count the pinfall.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: Rocky Weatherfield</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 85</strong></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="YFYc5OT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YFYc5OT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="PnzmqSY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PnzmqSY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong><span style="font-size:24px;">VS.</span></strong><img alt="MXCAyhx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MXCAyhx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Greg Gauge vs. El Mitico Jr.</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> These two never seem to disappoint in any match they're in. Either man could wrestle a great match with anyone, and against each other a "Match of the Year" candidate is always a possibility. We didn't quite get that here, but it was excellent nonetheless. With both men practically able to do it all, we got a little bit of everything in this one, and unlike the mixed bag in the fatal four way earlier, the chemistry was there to hold this one together. As El Mitico Jr. has been prone to do lately, he started the match looking to brawl. Gauge obliged and the two put on an entertaining brawl for the first four or five minutes. Once Mitico learned that Gauge was an even better brawler than him, he tried to take the match to the mat. It was another bad move though, because as good as he is on the mat, Gauge is that much better. Mitico finally gained a little momentum by taking the match to the air, hitting a beautiful Senton Bomb for a near fall, and taking Gauge out at ringside by slingshotting himself over the top for a crossbody. Once they took things back to the ring, Mitico tried to end it with his Northern Lights Suplex finisher. Gauge blocked it though and landed a DDT from the position instead. It only got him a near fall, but it left Mitico in the prime position for Gauge to work the leg and apply the Proton Lock (Sharpshooter) for the submission victory and a much needed win at 19:25.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: Greg Gauge</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 94</strong></p><p> </p><p> After the match, Darryl Devine's music hit and he stepped out to the top of the entrance way, microphone in hand.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="0j2JIqU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0j2JIqU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Devine:</span></strong> <em>Glad to see you get back in the win column Greg. These types of finishes are a staple of wrestling and as such will occasionally be featured in this diary. With "</em><em><strong>Option C</strong></em><em>" on the table predictors will always have a chance to make a correct guess, whether the match has a clear winner or not. To choose </em><em><strong>"Option C"</strong></em><em> simply type it next to the desired match and don't highlight a winner.</em></p>

<em>Glad to see this go back to TV. It allows for good defenses but over a quick time (letting you move the title, and prestige bump, through the midcard).</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>American Elemental II & Jack Avatar</strong> vs. Kamikaze & Fro Sure</p><p>

<em>I foresee shenanigans in this match, so I would think a DQ finish with Fro Sure going for a chair works.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Scythe & Bear Bekowski</strong> vs. Going Coastal</p><p>

<em>Bear and Cerberus are bad (at least when the game starts), but you don't let them lose. Pairing them with Scythe makes it manageable.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Roderick Remus</strong> vs. Robbie Wright</p><p>

<em>Champs get the first blood.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Greg Gauge</strong> vs. ?????</p><p>

<em>Gauge continues to build up for the rematch with Devine.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Darryl Devine vs. <strong>Ernest Youngman</strong></p><p>

<em>Youngman can beat Devine and not take a huge hit, so Gauge getting involved makes sense.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Bonus Question: Who will Greg Gauge's mystery opponent be? <em>Marvel Malloy</em></p>
