CZCW: A Second First Dynasty

Recommended Posts

CZCW Television Championship

© Sonny Wildside vs. Kid Fantastic

Eventually, Wildside will outgrow this, but give him a decent run to see what happens.

CZCW Tag Team Championship

© The Pryce is Wright vs. Bruises and Blues

I like the flash pin for win. Rematch should be solid.

CZCW American Championship

© Marvel Malloy vs. Brent Hill

Keep looking, Brent.

El Mitico Jr. vs. Lassana Makutsi

Bit of a coin flip, but I love me some Mitico.

Hurakan vs. Amazing Fire Fly

Might not be clean, but AFF needs to build up some pop and momentum to really cash in the Golden Ticket.

The Perkins brothers have been on a tear since joining CZCW a few months ago, going undefeated so far in pre-show and "B show" matches, with 11 straight wins to date. Jerry Lee is the crafty veteran of the duo, while Scotty Joe is....well Scotty's a bit of a wildman, employing a smashmouth brawling style in the ring. That smashmouth style really caught Pryce and Wright off-guard too, being in such stark contrast to the technical wrestling of their most recent opponents, Double Feature. With Scotty Joe on a tear, Bruises and Blues had Pryce and Wright back on their heels early and often in this one, much to the delight of the sell-out crowd. Robbie Wright eventually shut that sell-out crowd up though, using a handful of tights for leverage to pin Jerry Lee while Scotty Joe was brawling with Prince Pryce on the outside. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winners: © The Pryce is Wright</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 78</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="YFYc5OT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YFYc5OT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Hurakan vs. Amazing Fire Fly</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> After suffering a minor leg injury while playing soccer in his free time, the Golden Ticket holder Amazing Fire Fly was back in action for the first time in nearly a month. <em>For anyone predicting the shows, I would like to give you the option of choosing what I call "</em><em><strong>Option C</strong></em><em>" for any of the matches. "</em><em><strong>Option C</strong></em><em>" is what you would choose to guess finishes like a double count out, double DQ, time limit draws and no contest style finishes where there isn't a clear-cut winner/winners. To choose </em><em><strong>"Option C"</strong></em><em> simply type it next to the desired match and don't highlight a winner.</em></p>

CZCW Television Championship

© Sonny Wildside vs. Bullet Rivera

Sonny needs a real foe.

CZCW American Championship

© Marvel Malloy vs. Lassana Makutsi

Off a loss to Mitico, I don't think Makutsi has the momentum to grab a belt.

El Mitico Jr. vs. Masked Patriot

Let the push continue.

Colossus & Bear Bekowski vs. Thunder & Lightning

The foot soldiers get a win over an established team. This is a pretty big deal.

<p>I don't know what it is, but lately I just can't seem to keep my mind in the game when it comes to writing this dynasty. I know the matches, and I know the storylines and where they're going, but when the time comes to type it all up, I just find myself staring blankly at the screen. I've really enjoyed writing it for the most part, but I always told myself that when it came right down to it, I wouldn't force myself to continue if it became more like work than fun. That's the situation I find myself in now, so I'm just gonna stop it here. Before I go though, I wanted to rundown the basics of the main storylines up to the point I already had the shows finished in-game. </p><p> </p><p> Before that though, I just wanted to thank anyone who ever read so much as one show of this dynasty and anyone who ever made a prediction, left a comment, or nominated/voted for me in the DOTM Polls. It means a lot to me and I truly appreciate it! Writing this dynasty helped me get through an indescribably difficult time in my life and I don't regret a single second I spent on it. And to anyone reading this who's blessed enough to still have your mother with you, do yourself a favor and <em>always</em> make time for her, because you never know which chance will be your last.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:18px;">CZCW Television Championship</span></span></strong><p> </p><p> - Sonny Wildside wins his rematch with Felipe Caballero at Christmas Cage Chaos.</p><p> </p><p> - He then made successful defenses against La Gran Uva at Revolution in January 2020, Devyn Reynaud at Surf Slam in March, Hiroyasu Gakusha and Mabuchi Furusawa on episodes of Coast To Coast and Uprising respectively in March.</p><p> </p><p> - Wildside would finally drop the title to Rocky Weatherfield at April's Spring Break Bash, ending his reign at 6 months and over two dozen successful title defenses.</p><p> </p><p> - Weatherfield still holds the title in early June</p><p> </p><p> - Wildside is in my main event plans for the future, but I still haven't decided where he'll go next after losing the title. The Xtreme title is next in my hierarchy, but his hardcore skills are kind of iffy so he'll probably jump past that to the Pacific title hunt. Also, with his Flashiness skill being 97 and his Aerial skill being 72, I'll probably transition him to a babyface as climbs up the card. </p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:18px;">CZCW Xtreme Championship</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p> - Fro Sure is finally able to bring the "extreme" out of Jack Avatar in the weeks leading up to Christmas Cage Chaos. Avatar, being new to the hardcore game, still falls short though in a match that was a little worse than their first encounter.</p><p> </p><p> - He followed that win with successful defenses against Air Attack Weasel at Revolution in January 2020, Lenny Brown at The Sam Keith Classic IX in February, Roderick Remus at Surf Slam in March, Acid II at Spring Break Bash in April and Acid I at Welcome To The Coastal Zone in May.</p><p> </p><p> - He still holds the title in June of 2020 and probably will for at least a while longer, although I do consider him a Main Event player for the future.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:18px;">CZCW Pacific Championship</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p> - Kamikaze was able to successfully retain against the now heel American Elemental II at Christmas Cage Chaos. When he couldn't get the job done himself, Elemental II brought in his mentor, the original American Elemental to help him take down Kamikaze. When that didn't work, Elemental II went a little younger and went with Acid II to do his dirty work against Kamikaze. That didn't work either though and Kamikaze held the title until April of 2020. American Elemental II then moved on to form a heel tag team with Acid II called Resurgence.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:18px;">"Legion" Storyline</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p> - Legion accepted the challenge of Akima Brave and Bulldozer Brandon Smith for a tag team steel cage match at Christmas Cage chaos, but Scythe vowed that the cage wouldn't protect them. He also announced that Colossus would be known as Leviathan from that day forward.</p><p> </p><p> - Scythe and Leviathan defeated Akima Brave and Bulldozer Brandon Smith in the steel cage match at Christmas Cage Chaos. Scythe's decree that the cage wouldn't protect Brave and Smith turned out to be meant for Smith only, as Brave turned on his partner to join Legion. This was foreshadowed slightly on the shows I've already posted and would have been subtly foreshadowed in the remaining shows before Christmas Cage Chaos.</p><p> </p><p> - Brave then feuded with Smith through Revolution in January 2020, with Smith coming out on top and then pointing his ire towards Scythe. Scythe would make Smith jump through a series of hoops before agreeing to face him though. First he told Smith he would have to beat Bear Bekowski at The Sam Keith Classic IX PPV in February. After Smith was successful there, Scythe stipulated that he would also have to beat Cerberus at the Fastlane To Surf Slam TV Special to get the chance to face him at the Surf Slam PPV in March. Smith won that too and finally got his match with Scythe at Surf Slam. That didn't go Smith's way though as he was attacked almost immediately after the bell rang by the newest member of Legion, Pascal Durand. This would lead to a one on one match between Smith and Durand at Spring Break Bash in April, with Scythe giving Smith his word that if he defeated Durand, he would face him in a Steel Cage Match at Welcome To The Coastal Zone, and would leave CZCW for good if any of his followers interfered. </p><p> </p><p> - Smith defeated Durand at Spring Break bash and earned the Steel Cage match with Scythe for Welcome To The Coastal Zone.</p><p> </p><p> - Scythe would keep his word that no member of Legion would interfere and the cage match at WTTCZ greatly exceeded my expectations, scoring a 94, as Scythe defeated Smith in a brutal match.</p><p> </p><p> - From there Legion moved on to Darryl Devine, but when Akima Brave lost to Devine at The Rip Chord Invitational, he was beaten down and kicked out of the group. His former tag team partner Toma Brave returned soon after though and the duo also began to feud with Legion.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:18px;">CZCW Tag Team Championship</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p> - The Pryce is Wright once again beat Double Feature at Christmas Cage Chaos, with Roderick Remus once again taking the fall. Spencer Spade was irate that Remus got pinned again and shoved his partner after the match. After a month of goading Remus, Spade finally convinced Remus to face him at Revolution in January. Spade won the match and beatdown Remus afterwards for good measure, leaving no doubt that they were done as partners. After the match a brawl broke out, with Resurgence coming to the aid of The Pryce Is Wright, only to attack them afterwards. This led to a triple threat match for the titles at Welcome To The Coastal zone in May, with Resurgence coming out on top over Natural Storm and The Pryce Is Wright.</p><p> </p><p> - Resurgence still holds the titles in early June.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">CZCW American Championship</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p> - Marvel Malloy successfully defended his championship against Lassana Makutsi on the episode of Coast To Coast I was due to post next. Gauge, concerned that Killer Shark may not actually be out of the picture, asked for the match to be a cage match.</p><p> </p><p> - Devine beat Gauge in the cage match at Christmas Cage Chaos when Killer Shark intervened on his behalf.</p><p> </p><p> - On the next episode of Coast To Coast, Devine admitted to paying off Shark to help him as a measure of revenge, claiming that Gauge knew exactly what he was doing when he brought in Killer Shark to begin with.</p><p> </p><p> - The next week Gauge was adamant that it was just an honest misjudgement on his part to bring in Killer Shark, and that Devine only paid him off because he knew Gauge finally had his number and was going to take the title. He then informed Devine that the "powers that be" were giving him another shot at the title, this time in a 60-minute Iron Man Match at Revolution, with Killer Shark banned from the arena. If Shark tried to interfere, Devine would be stripped of the title and it would be awarded to Gauge.</p><p> </p><p> - At Revolution, with the Iron Man match tied at one fall each and time running out, Killer Shark attacked Devine, revealing that Devine was right about Gauge and Shark being in cahoots all along. Shark's interference led to Devine being stripped of the title as stipulated, and Gauge was the new CZCW Champion.</p><p> </p><p> - On the next episode of Coast To Coast Gauge wondered aloud how much money Devine had wasted to "buy off" Killer Shark at Christmas Cage Chaos last month. He then called Shark's "betrayal" a minor speed bump in their partnership, and a mistake that would never be repeated now that Gauge had paid Shark an absurd amount of money for his continued loyalty. Then to everyone's, or maybe no one's surprise, Gauge insisted that he had in fact gotten the money for Shark's pay off and the rematch for Revolution from his father, Sam Keith.</p><p> </p><p> - The next week it's announced that Greg Gauge and Darryl Devine would meet for the final time ever in one on one competition at The Sam Keith Classic IX in a Last Man Standing Match for the CZCW Championship. Also, much to the chagrin of Greg Gauge it was stipulated that Gauge would be stripped of the title if Shark interfered in the match.</p><p> </p><p> - At The Sam Keith Classic IX, the show opened with Darryl Devine lying unconscious in a pool of his own blood backstage. A little later in the show it was reported that Devine had a concussion and wouldn't be able to compete in the show's main event. However, Devine went against the medical staff's wishes and faced Gauge anyway. Devine put forth a very valiant effort considering his condition, but fell short when he couldn't answer the 10 count after Gauge delivered a ddt on the exposed arena floor.</p><p> </p><p> - The next week on Coast To Coast, Gauge came out with Killer Shark to start the show. He began by hyping up Shark as an unstoppable beast and ended by cutting ties with Shark, "unleashing" him to finish off Devine for good.</p><p> </p><p> - Later that night El Mitico Jr, riding a 20 match plus winning streak, challenged Gauge for a CZCW Championship match at Surf Slam. Gauge accepted. Also, fresh off of winning his feud with his former partner Roderick Remus, Spencer Spade challenges the winner of Gauge/Mitico for a title match at Spring Break Bash. Amazing Fire Fly then told Spade that he was out of luck, as he planned on cashing in his Golden Ticket to face the winner at Spring Break Bash himself. </p><p> </p><p> - The next week on Coast To Coast, Gauge insulted Mitico's Mexican heritage and accused Mitico's grandfather, the original El Mitico, of being involved with a Mexican drug cartel in the early 80's. This prompted a furious Mitico to charge the ring and attempt to attack Gauge, but he was attacked by a masked man before things could get too far. Also, Spencer Spade and Amazing Fire Fly come to an agreement to face each other at Surf Slam. If Spade wins he gets the winner at Spring Break Bash and Fire Fly will wait to cash in the Golden Ticket. If Fire Fly wins he gets the winner at Spring Break Bash and promises that Spade will get the first shot at the title when he's champion.</p><p> </p><p> - Mitico continued to suffer sneak attacks by the masked man in the weeks leading up to Surf Slam. Finally though, on the episode prior to Surf Slam, Mitico got the upper hand on his assailant and managed to unmask him. Unfortunately, the now unmasked man managed to escape while keeping his face hidden.</p><p> </p><p> - At Surf Slam, Spade defeats Fire Fly, earning a shot at Gauge for Spring Break Bash. In the main event, Gauge defeated Mitico after interference by the masked man, who after the match revealed himself to be Hugh Cannon(Huey Cannonball), and he and Gauge beat down Mitico. </p><p> </p><p> - On the next episode of Coast To Coast, Gauge says he looks forward to facing a real challenger in Spencer Spade at Spring Break Bash and calls him out to the ring. The two men start by exchanging pleasantries, but it isn't long before their egos collide and a heated argument ensues.</p><p> </p><p> - The bad blood between Gauge and Spade begins to boil over the following weeks, culminating in an out of control brawl on the go-home episode of Coast To Coast.</p><p> </p><p> - Gauge defeated Spade at Spring Break Bash to retain the CZCW Championship. He didn't do it alone of course, this time being helped by a debuting Jay Chord.</p><p> </p><p> - The next episode of Coast To Coast saw Amazing Fire Fly declare himself the next challenger for the CZCW Championship, as he would be cashing in his Golden Ticket to face Greg Gauge in the main event of Welcome To The Coastal Zone. </p><p> </p><p> - Later that night, a now recovered Darryl Devine demands a rematch for the CZCW Championship after he was screwed at Surf Slam by a "mystery" attacker, that was obviously a banned from the match Killer Shark. Mikey James comes out and reminds Devine that Surf Slam was supposed to be his last ever one on one match with Gauge. He also says he sees where Devine is coming from and has some good news. He's just been informed that "the powers that be" actually agree with Devine and that he should get another shot. He'll have to beat James himself at Welcome To The Coastal Zone to earn it though.</p><p> </p><p> - Greg Gauge defeated Amazing Fire Fly at Welcome To The Coastal Zone to retain the CZCW Championship, this time with the help of a debuting Hollywood Bret Starr. </p><p> </p><p> - Also at Welcome To The Coastal Zone, Mikey James and Darryl Devine went to a no contest when Devine and James were both attacked by Legion. James ultimately escaped relatively unscathed though and would go on to face Gauge for the title at The Rip Chord Invitational XVI.</p><p> </p><p> <em>It would be revealed that it was in fact Legion, and not Killer Shark, who attacked Devine before his Last Man Standing Match with Gauge at The Sam Keith Classic IX PPV.</em></p><p> </p><p> - On the next Coast To Coast, Mikey James let Gauge know that he wouldn't be suffering the same fate as Gauge's recent challengers, since "the powers that be" are sick of Gauge ruining their PPV main events with his cheating and were going to do something about it. If Gauge cheats again at The Rip Chord Invitational XVI, not only will he be stripped of the title, but he'll be fired!</p><p> </p><p> - At The Rip Chord Invitational XVI, with his career in CZCW on the line, Gauge had no choice but to play by the rules against Mikey James. This worked out in James' favor, as he defeated Gauge in an outstanding match to take home the CZCW Championship.</p><p> </p><p> **- I haven't actually got this far yet, but James will give Gauge his rematch for the title at Battle On The Beach the next month. Towards the end of the match, and with the referee down and Gauge in control, a masked man will rush the ring and help Gauge lay out James with a steel chair. This greatly pleases Gauge, that is until the masked man attacks him with the chair too, before revealing himself to be none other than Gauge's own father, Sam Keith! Keith then pulls James onto Gauge, and wakes up the ref, who counts the three as James retains.</p><p> </p><p> **- Keith will then apologize to James on the next episode of Coast To Coast, saying that hitting him with the chair was an unfortunate requirement of his plan. He will then ensure everyone that, despite his son's allegations to the contrary, he had nothing to do with paying off Killer Shark and nothing to do with Gauge getting a rematch with Devine at Revolution. In fact, Gauge was telling the truth to Devine when their feud first began, when he said Keith had never done anything to help his son get ahead, or get to a spot in the wrestling business that he didn't deserve. He would then reveal his motivation for attacking his son. First of all he's pissed at Greg for refusing to use the Keith family name, and supposedly all over something stupid like preferring the sound of the alliterative Greg Gauge better. Also, for making a mockery of the Keith name despite not even using it, by constantly cheating in matches that he should be able to win on the up and up. He finishes his rant by challenging his son to a match at Wave Of Fury: The Coastal Rumble for August.</p><p> </p><p> <em>I know that Gauge's bio in the game actually says the opposite, that Gauge is the real family name and Keith is the stage name. Not only that, but it says Sam Keith was okay with Gauge using that name instead of Keith. However, that just seems backwards to me. When I think of the surnames Gauge and Keith, it's Gauge that sounds more like the stage name and Keith more like the real name that you would change to something catchier for show business. Therefore, I changed it to fit my storyline.</em></p><p> </p><p> **- At Wave Of Fury, Gauge will basically manhandle his father and just as it appears he's about to take it too far with a steel chair, he'll be stopped by his debuting brother Matthew Keith. This will setup a long-term feud between the brothers, culminating in a loser leaves CZCW Street Fight at a future PPV. </p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:18px;">Other Notes / Future Plans</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p> - Spencer Spade has everything needed to make a great figurehead and I'll be putting him in that spot very soon.</p><p> </p><p> - When I signed Sonny Wildside I knew he had a chance to be great, but he's getting really good a lot faster than I ever would have imagined and could potentially follow Spade as figurehead.</p><p> </p><p> - Scythe not only has an awesome gimmick that does great in angles, but he's also really good in the ring and plays an outstanding heel or babyface. Barring injury, he likely has a long career ahead of him as my version of The Undertaker. Not very original I know, but it's so easy it practically writes itself. I'll most likely turn him face in his eventual fued with Killer Shark.</p><p> </p><p> - As much as I like El Mitico Jr., he's starting to get a little lost in the shuffle with so many other characters being a lot easier to write for. He'll probably hang around on the periphery for the most part, filling out a main event spot when an injury comes up, or just when I need a good worker to top off a number 1 contenders match. He'll probably also get a lot of work in TV main events and as an in-between feud for filler PPV main events.</p><p> </p><p> - I had big plans for Marvel Malloy as well, but he hit an unfortunate popularity cap and I dropped him back into the tag ranks with Lassana Makutsi instead. Same goes for Ernest Youngman who is now working with Onslaught as The Assassins.</p><p> </p><p> - The Pryce Is Wright will eventually break up and feud, with Prince Pryce winning and gradually moving towards the main event scene, that is if I can get him there without gaming the system too much.</p><p> </p><p> - I also see Amazing Fire Fly, American Elemental II, Bret Heartbreak, Fro Sure, Hurakan, Jack Avatar, Kid Fantastic and Motoyuki Miyake as potential future main eventers.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> Sorry, that went on a lot longer than I intended and I apologize for the "Wall O Text." </p><p> </p><p> Thanks again to everyone who read or participated!</p>

Great run and loved the recap (or pre-cap?) you gave to see where it was going. Good storytelling through all the feuds as you moved guys in and out of feuds very well. That is something I struggle with in my games, but luckily I can say "at least I'm not that bad" every Monday and Tuesday night when I tune into Raw and Smackdown.

Hope to see you back at it soon!

P.S.- I commented before on your diverse roster, but you were right...man you had a ton of workers!
