Post Your PPV Card

Recommended Posts

I was reading some diaries and got interested in how others execute their PPV's, so I thought it might be interesting to see others' PPV/Major event cards.

I'm currently playing as the WWF with the 1991 mod, and here is what my Royal Rumble card looked like.

Royal Rumble 1991

1) Wendi Richter won a 15 Woman battle royal. C-

2) The Orient Express defeated the Bushwackers. D+

*) Gene Okerlund interviewed the newly signed Fabulous Moolah, Hollywood Blonds, and Owen Hart. C-

3) The Million Dollar Man & Virgil defeated Dusty and Dustin Rhodes. B

4) The Big Bossman defeated The Barbarian. B-

*) The Ultimate Warrior cut a promo about Randy Savage. A*

5) Rick Martel defeated Jake Roberts. B+

*) Hogan gave a promo on Sgt. Slaughter and General Adnan. A*

6) Hulk Hogan defeated Sgt. Slaugher & General Adnan in a handicap match. B+

*) Randy Savage promo about the Ultimate Warrior. A*

7) Randy Savage defeated WWF Heavyweight Champion The Ultimate Warrior for the title. B

*) British Bulldog, Earthquake, Jake Roberts, Jim Duggan, Mr. Perfect, Ted DiBiase, Ricky Steamboat, and The Undertaker gave their thoughts on the Rumble. A

8) Hulk Hogan won the Royal Rumble. B

I've noticed in this game that he pulls in lower than expected angle grades on occasion though.</p>

I'll have to give it a try on his next celebration. </p><p> </p><p> I've been watching some 1991 WWF to get in the spirit of the time and they had a lot more angles and interviews than I remembered as a kid. It makes every minute precious in this game, but you have to send the fans home happy right?</p>

<p>A lot of those angles were 2-3 minutes long - it's just they were chained together so you might get the Bulldogs discussing Matilda (2 minutes), Andre choking Bob Uecker (2 minutes) and Randy Savage doing what Randy Savage did (6 minutes) for a run of angles that would be longer than most matches - but only one would affect the show rating in TEW terms.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

*</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

My most recent PPV:</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="kMFBbyF.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kMFBbyF.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Not the greatest show ever, but it did its job. Almost all of those angles would have been at least 4 minutes (minimum time to learn) and probably 6 minutes (minimum time to count) although from memory the Jesse Ventura and announcers segments were minor ones.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

As I have to book at least 25% angles, I find interspersing them with matches works best. Almost all of the matches are over 10 minutes, so having 5 or 6 minute angles in between works out at ~ 30% angles for the show, once the longer main/semi-final matches are taken into account.</p>

<p>Here's my most recent PPV in my TCW save, Total Mayhem 25. I made my show so long that even Vince McMahon is calling in to question it's length(9 hours). If I ran an actual, real life promotion I wouldn't ever book a show even close to that length, but I get super hyped for Total Mayhem every time I approach it and want to get as many people as possible on the card. Anyways, here's the show:</p><p> </p><p>

Preshow: Kita Konoe wins a womens battle royal(67)</p><p>

Preshow: Johnny Bloodstone wins a mens battle royal(75)</p><p> </p><p>

Match 1: High Concept(Benny Benson and Greg Black) defeated Strong Hold(Eric Strong and Wade Orson), The Canadian Animals(Edd Stone and Freddy Huggins), and Legitimacy(Marc Speed and Andre Jones©) in a ladder match to win the TCW World Tag Team Championships(92)</p><p> </p><p>

Match 2: Edward Cornell defeated Sean McFly(70)</p><p>

Match 3: Fuyoko Higa defeated Alicia Strong(86)</p><p>

Match 4: Kirk Jameson defeated Mainstream Hernandez, Greg Gauge©, and Clyde Sanders(Hell's Bouncer) for the TCW International Title(84)</p><p>

Match 5: Yoshimi Mushashibo defeated Roger Cage(72)</p><p>

Match 6: War Machine defeated Loxley Robbins and Gidayu Katou(82)</p><p>

Match 7: The Vesseys(Cameron and Bryan Vessey) defeated Rich Inc(Rich Money and Mark Adonis©) in an I Quit tag team match for the TCW Showcase Tag Team Titles(77)</p><p>

Match 8: Mighty Mo defeated Harvey Robbinfield(78)</p><p>

Match 9: Tiffany Jade, Brooke Tyler, and Talia Quinzel defeated Nadia Snow, Lauren Easter, and Shiori Jippenshaw and the team of Melody, Sarah Marie York, and Paige Croft to earn future title opportunities(75)</p><p>

Match 10:Trent Shaffer defeated Ricky Dale Johnson in RDJ's TCW retirement match(78)</p><p>

Match 11: Joshua Taylor defeated Ricky DeColt(87)</p><p>

Match 12: Matthew Keith defeated Sammy Bach(86)</p><p>

Match 13: Axxis Jr defeated Buff Martinez(92)</p><p>

Match 14: Devine Fortune defeated JOJETT(Joji and Jacob Jett), Julian Watson and John Maverick, and Ravishing Reality(Landon Mallory and Davis Wayne Newton)(86)</p><p>

Match 15: Eddie Peak defeated Marat Khoklov(74)</p><p>

Match 16: Ross Henry defeated Wolf Hawkins(80)</p><p>

Match 17: Curtis Austin(Nelson Callum) defeated KC Glenn© for the TCW Cultural Championship(99)</p><p>

Match 18: El Mitico Jr defeated Aaron Andrews(90)</p><p>

Match 19: Xtinction defeated Casey Valentine(81)</p><p>

Match 20: Joanne Rodriguez defeated Tracy Brendon© for the TCW Women's Chamionship(75)</p><p>

Match 21: Antonio Marquez© defeated Adam Matravers to retain the TCW Hard Hitting Title(89)</p><p>

Match 22: Rocky Golden defeated Jay Chord(92)</p><p>

Match 23: Ernest Youngman defeated Tommy Cornell for the TCW World Title(99)</p><p> </p><p>

Show rating: 96</p><p> </p><p>

Very pleased with how the show turned out overall, with the Cultural title match blowing my expectations out of the water. I already had some big plans for KC Glenn coming up soon thanks to a popularity surge in the recent months, but now I might accelerate it them a little because he's awesome.</p>

That is a crazy length show, but glad that it performed so well. :D Make me tempted to try out something I have never tried before... a 24 hour show for "charity" of some kind. I have the roster that I could probably put on amazing matches for the duration of the show, especially if I were to bring in development talent but I don't know if I have the will to book it. But seeing your success is bringing that temptation back....
