--A lot of great matches on this card and plenty that I feel are even pick 'ems as I could make a case different guys going over for a variety of reasons. As many on the board, I am most excited to see if the mystery guys are revealed. I still am sticking with my original thought that Terry Funk is involved and I'm thinking that he could be leading and ECW-type stable.</p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p><strong>Tony Schiavone:</strong> Welcome to WCW Great American Bash, live from Chattanooga Tennessee. Welcome to a night packed full of action. What do we have in store for tonight Tenay.</p><p>

<strong>Mike Tenay:</strong> Well Tony, we have the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on the line as Booker T takes on Scott Steiner in his rematch for the title, in a bitter feud that has seen Booker being fingered as the Mystery Attacker of the Magnificent 7.</p><p>

<strong>Bobby Heenan:</strong> There's gonna be trouble coming Bookers way tonight, i wouldn't want to be in his shoes.</p><p>

<strong>Tony Schiavone:</strong> Lets not forget the United States Championship match, Sting taking on Shane Douglas, a man who has done all he can to stay out of the way of the Icon.</p><p>

<strong>Mike Tenay:</strong> What about the Tag Team Championship match. We can't forget the great tournament held to crown new #1 Contenders.</p><p>

<strong>Bobby Heenan:</strong> You have to question if they are ready for the match, you can't forget they were victims of an attack this past Monday.</p><p>

<strong>Mike Tenay:</strong> In that case, what about Team Rhodes vs Team Flair. Nobody has seen Ric Flair since Nitro after he was driven away in the trunk of a car. Not to mention Jarrett, Steiner and Animal all faced attacks at the hands of the Attacker. Will the match still go ahead? Will it be a Handicap match or will Flair be here?</p><p>

<strong>Tony Schiavone:</strong> I don't know whats going to happen, so much went down this past week on Nitro, that we may have to change the entire card. Thankfully the Cruiserweight Bash is still going ahead.</p><p>

<strong>Mike Tenay:</strong> Can Rey Mysterio really fight off 19 other men, who are all gunning for his title.</p><p>

<strong>Tony Schiavone:</strong> I don't know Mike, but two of those men are up next in the first match of the night, as Kidman looks to settle the score with Chavo once and for all tonight.</p><p>

<strong> Chavo Guerrero vs Billy Kidman</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Kidman makes his way to the ring first, but is attacked as he walks down the ramp. Chavo quickly runs Kidman into the ring and tried to pick up a quick 3 count, but Kidman kicks out before the 3. Kidman takes a beating at the start, but begins to fight back, taking it to Guerrero with multiple shots to the back with a kendo stick. Both men flout the fact there is no rules and fight outside, using the steel guardrail as a weapon multiple times. When they make their way back to the ring, Chavo attempts to hit a brain-buster on Kidman, however Kidman manages to get out of it and hit a DDP on Guerrero. With that Kidman climbs the top rope and hits the Shooting Star Press. Not content with just the one. Kidman then goes back up top and hits another, before going for the pin and the victory.</p><p> </p><p>

<em><strong>Winner: Billy Kidman</strong></em></p><p>

Backstage Jarrett is with Rick Steiner and Animal in the Presidents Locker Room. Jarrett says there is still no word from Flair, that they are worries and unless he makes an appearance later, they have to go it without him, in a handicap match tonight. Jarrett says he may be the most senior member here tonight, as the Vice President, but he just can't find anyone willing to help, after the spate of attacks last week.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Lance Storm vs Mike Awesome</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Storm and Awesome start the match by shaking hands and tapping each other on the shoulders. Then after a collar elbow tie up, the two begin to wrestle and fight it out in the ring. The smaller, more technical Storm manages to out wit Awesome throughout the match, only allowing him a few moments to hit big impact moves. This leaves Awesome frustrated and kicking the bottom rope after every failed attempt. The match ends when Storm hits a super-kick and rolls up Awesome for the 3.</p><p> </p><p>

After the match, Storm gets to his feet, before helping up his partner Mike Awesome. Storm then goes to shake the hand of Awesome as a sign of respect, but after pausing for some time Awesome shakes the hand but then immediately pulls him in and kicks him straight in the gut. A bent over Storm then gets a verbal bashing from Awesome, before Awesome hits Storm with the Awesome Bomb. Awesome then exits the arena to a chorus of boos from the live crowd. Storm slowly makes his way to his feet to a round of applause from the crowd, in which he raises his hand as a thank you, before leaving up the ramp.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong> Natural Born Thrillers © vs Totally Buffed</strong></p><p> </p><p>

After a short video hyping up the match, both teams make their way to the ring. Bagwell and Luger look to be in good shape after the attack, and have Animal in their corner, who is supporting a black eye. The match gets off to a great and fast start with O’Haire and Palumbo clearing the ring to a roar from the crowd. Through the match, the offense is quite balanced without anyone dominating the proceedings. Although Animal remains in the corner and doesn't interfere through the whole of the match. The end is somewhat different. After a long hard battle, a frustrated Bagwell shouts to Animal, who then distracts the referee. This allows Luger to enter the ring and double team Palumbo, before running O’Haire off the apron. Bagwell then goes for the pin and gets the win after Animals assistance.</p><p> </p><p>

DDP is the first to make his way to the ring, to a huge reaction from the crowd. Next comes Disco Inferno who has a walking stick in one hand and adult diapers in the other. Disco gets in the ring and throws them both at DDP, distracting him enough to get the head-start and proceeds to beat down the former Champ. DDP end up mounting a comeback and even goes as far as to mock Disco, with doing a cardio workout in the middle of the match, to show Disco he’s far from the old figure that Disco has portrayed him to be. After running Circles round Disco for some time. DDP hits him with the Diamond Cutter to pick up the victory.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong> Sting © vs Shane Douglas</strong></p><p> </p><p>

After weeks of not “avoiding” the Champ, Douglas and Sting are finally face to face in the ring with the bell ringing in the background to start the match. The second the bell rings, Douglas exits the ring and walks around the ring. After getting to a 9 count, he enters the ring again, only to do the same again. He does this once more until the champ has enough and follows him out. With that Douglas immediately blindsides Sting and runs him straight into the guardrail. Douglas then proceeds to bead down Sting outside the ring, rolling in at the count of 9 every time and back out, to break the 10 count. After a good 6 minutes, Douglas rolls Sting back into the ring and attempts the pin. Sting however kicks out and the beatdown then continues in the ring. The match goes past the 10 min mark and the fans are booing heavily as Sting has yet to mount any offence after the earlier attacks outside. With that, frustrated not to have won already, Douglas goes off his script and goes to the top rope. Douglas then jumps and tries to hit Sting with a Flying Elbow. However Sting moves and it's from there that the Icon mounts his comeback slowly. The finnish comes as sting misses a Stinger Splash, Douglas then goes to hit Sting with his own finisher, but gets reversed and Sting manages to drop Douglas with the Scorpion Death Drop to pick up the 3 count.</p><p> </p><p>

Bischoff says that if Booker wants to keep his job after Monday, he best come clean within the next 24 hours or face losing his job and position in WCW forever. Booker tries to explain to Bischoff that he is innocent, but Bischoff says he doesn't care for the lies. Bischoff says he is giving Booker the chance to come clean and have no repercussions. Booker then stands up and thanks Mr Bischoff for his time, but tells him he's not understanding that he is innocent and doesn't need any promise. <strong>Ernest Miller vs Kanyon</strong></p><p> </p><p>

In a match where the two men have been at each other for months. They have both agreed to one more match to end it all. As we are watching the match, Mike Tenay tells us that they both agreed to stipulations before the match, at the outcome. If Miller wins, M.I. Smooth is free to return, but if Kanyon wins, Miller owes him a “Favour” he can cash in at any time. Both men put on a good showing in the ring and work well together. Although the match goes past the 10 min mark, it's mostly slow pace action, dictated by Kanyon. Kanyon toys with Miller until finally pinning him, banking himself a future favour that Miller can't call in his momma for backup with.</p><p> </p><p>

The stipulation of if Dusty loses, he is banished from WCW and if Flair loses, Dusty is allowed to work in peace forever, still stands even though Flair is no longer in the match. Out come Jarrett, Steiner and Animal who are outnumbered tonight and are battling on behalf of their leader and friend Ric Flair. The match gets off to a good start for Team Flair as they work well as a unit. Team Rhodes are acting like a 3 man team as Dusty doesn't stand on the apron and is on the floor asking like their manager. As the match goes on, Jarrett and Dustin finally get a chance to get face to face. They trade some heavy blows before Jarrett hits the Stroke. Dustin is saved by Konan and the battle continues. Eventually Animal tags in with Konan, and after a short scuffle, all hell breaks loose and everyone is in the ring except Dusty. In the confusion, Dusty gets up onto the apron in the corner and gets Konan to tag him in. With that, Dusty gets in the ring and hits the Bionic Elbow on Animal and pins him clean in the ring for the 1-2-3</p><p> </p><p>

<em><strong>Winner: Dusty Rhodes</strong></em></p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WCW World Heavyweight Championship</span></strong></p><p>

<strong> Scott Steiner © vs Booker T</strong></p><p> </p><p>

In the highly anticipated main event, both men make their way to the ring with someone in their corner. Scott Steiner comes to the ring with Midajah and his brother Rick Steiner, while Booker is accompanied by his Brother Stevie Ray. The match gets off to a very slow start as Steiner keeps stopping the referee and getting him to check Booker for concealed weapons. It's not long before the life crowd start to boo heavily and change the atmosphere in the arena. It's then that Booker T just charges straight for Steiner and takes him to the ground. Both men put on an excellent showing throughout, with Rick Steiner and Stevie Ray on the outside keeping eyes on each other. Schiavone reminds us on commentary that a lot has gone on between these two this past year, with Steiner beating Booker for the title not once, but twice. He then goes on to talk about how Booker is being placed in the guilty seat of the attacker. Schiavone then turns his attention back to the match where he calls Steiner superplexing Booker from the top rope. After a long and well received match by the crowd, it is Steiner who reaches into his boot and pulls out a short piece of steel chain link. While Midajah distracts the Referee, Steiner wraps it around his hand and hits Booker in the face with his fist. A down and out Booker then gets rolled onto his back, where Steiner then locks on the Recliner. Booker T is unresponsive and doesn't tap or respond to the Referee, it's with that, that the referee lifts the arm of Booker 3 times and watches it drop to the floor. After the third, the Referee calls for the bell as Steiner keeps the Recliner locked in for an extra 10-20 seconds, adding insult to injury.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>WCW Nitro #296 - The Amnesty</strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

Following on from The Great American Bash, and the Magnificent 7 are a leader down but up Tag Team Gold. With the disappearance of WCW President Ric Flair, how with the M7 focus this week.</p><p> </p><p>

Just last week WCW C.E.O Eric Bischoff gave the ultimatum to the attackers who have been behind the targeted attacks on the Magnificent 7. They have been given until this weeks Nitro to come clean and avoid repercussions, or face the full wrath of WCW. Will we find out who is behind the attacks or will the saga continue.</p><p> </p><p>

After last night's inaugural Cruiserweight Bash, Rey Mysterio took part in an interview for the WCW Website in which he told Jeremy Borash that he was going to open up the challenge to all Cruiserweights from inside or outside of WCW who wants to challenge him every week on Nitro.</p><p> </p><p>

Just a few weeks ago Mark Jindrak upset Road Warrior Animal and the world when he came out victorious in their one on one match. Jeff Jarrett has now granted his team mates wish to have a rematch, which will happen this week on Monday Nitro. Jarrett also made the match of himself and Scott Steiner vs the former Tag Team Champions of Palumbo and O’Haire, in what can only be described as a way to embarrass the former champions.</p><p> </p><p>

Eric Bischoff announced just this morning that Nitro would be headlined by a fatal 4 way for the #1 Contenders position to face Scott Steiner at WCW Bash at the Beach. Booker T was granted a slot in the match after coming close this past Sunday, with DDP, Kanyon and Dustin all granted a shot after being victorious last night at the Great American Bash</p><p> </p><p>

<p>Jarrett and Steiner - <em>Can't really see anyone beating Steiner if they aren't already a big time main eventer right now.</em></p><p>

Rey Mysterio</p><p>

Animal</p><p>

DDP - <em>Booker just had a shot, so let's give Page his match.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Attackers: Terry Funk, RVD, Sabu, Sandman, and Tommy Dreamer</p><p>

I'm in line with Crossface in thinking that we are going to have a big "Extreme invasion" go on, and having them be the ones who were attacking the M7 would be a big way to debut them onto the big screen.</p>

Well I guess everyone thinks it's somehow ECW... not confirming or denying... but follow the chain of attacks to find the clue <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />. While the ECW connection makes sense, I'll go a bit off the board with a couple of these...</p><p> </p><p>

Going with the tie-in being Michael Hardwinder! Using that logic, I'll tie this to his ECW tie of Corino, Rhino and Tajiri (sorry Jack Victory). I'll also add his actual ally in Lance Storm and Mike Awesome! For the sake of taking advantage of some more spots I'll add Shamrock, since he was likely free (maybe). And then I'll add Ron Killings as an upstart and Kevin Nash as a "I hate Ric Flair"</p><p> </p><p>

Steve Corino + Rhino + Tajiri + Lance Storm + Mike Awesome + Ken Shamrock + Kevin Nash + Ron Killings.</p>

Following on from the defeat at the Great American Bash, the former WCW Tag Team Champions were places in this match by the acting President of WCW, Jeff Jarrett. In a match set up to punish the former champions, it's the former champions who have the upper hand at the beginning, using their youthful speed to out maneuver their opponents. As the match goes on, it's Steiner who takes back the control and slowly but systematically begins to pick apart Palumbo and O’Haire. After picking them apart, it's Jarrett turn in the ring, as Jarrett picks up Palumbo from the mat and hits him with the Stroke, for the win.</p><p> </p><p>

Disco immediately jumps on the chance to talk to Swinger and asks him what he's doing tonight. Swinger says he's not scheduled to wrestle, with that Disco asks him if he fancies hitting the bar after Nitro, he says they could talk teaming up and taking over the tag division together. Swinger humours Disco and says sure, why don't we just challenge for the titles and call ourselves the Disco Swingers. Disco doesn't detect thesarcams and says it's a great idea, he will have a word with Jeff Jarrett and see if they can get a shot next week. Disco then leaves the locker room with a smile on his face, as Swinger is left looking confused by what just happened.</p><p> </p><p>

Just a few weeks ago this match took place in which Jindrak upset Animal and the World after picking up the win. With Animal still looking for revenge, the acting WCW President Jeff Jarrett granted his friend and fellow M7 member the rematch tonight. The match gets off to a good start for Animal as he wins the brawling match with Jindrak to get the early advantage. It's not long before Jindrak begins to build a comeback and eventually shocks the world once again as he hits his finisher and pins Animal once again for the 1-2-3, before quickly rolling from the ring and exiting through the crowd, to the back as Animal gets up and starts kicking the ropes in fury.</p><p> </p><p>

As Animal is getting frustrated with himself in the ring, the Music of the Magnificent 7 Hits. Animal is draping his arms and yead over the top rope, looking deflated as his team mates enter the ring. Jarrett gets on the microphone and and tells the guys to support Animal. Rick Steiner then goes in to give his fellow M7 member a hug, when he slaps him across the face and kicks him straight in the stomach. This then prompts Scott Steiner, Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell to help with the attack and beat down of Animal. Jarrett stays on the microphone and berrates Animal, calling him “Dead Weight”, “The Weak Link” and a “Liability”. Jarrett then calls off the attack and lifts up Animal, looking him straight in the eyes, Jarrett goes for the Stroke and plants him to the mat, before calling off the attack and getting his fellow M7 Members to leave the ring, with Animal in it.</p><p> </p><p>

Morrus then challenges them, saying they were both victorious last night, and it would be a great match for the fans. Bagwell laughs off the challenge, saying they are not even in their league, let alone deserving of a shot at their titles. Bischoff says Jarrett will be in sole control of WCW following tonight, and would have to deal with the fallout of whatever happens with the Attacker. Bischoff says he’s overseas on business for a few weeks</p><p>

Backstage Eric Bischoff is seen in his office, as a knock comes on the door. Bischoff calls them in, and it's Jeff Jarrett. Bischoff thanks Jarrett for coming so quickly and asks him to take a seat as he needed a favour. Bischoff tells Jarrett that he's away on business overseas for the next few weeks and as they still haven't heard from Ric Flair since last Monday, he needed to leave WCW in safe hands. Bischoff says that they still don't know who the attacker or attackers are, and asks if Jarrett would have the stomach to keep it under control. Jarrett assures Mr Bischoff that he will do all he can to maintain control over WCW and make things run smoothly. Mr Bischoff then says to Jarrett that he will have soul power over WCW while he's away and that he would be promoting him to Co-President of WCW in the absence of Ric Flair. Jarrett thanks him for putting his trust in him. Bischoff then asks if Jarrett or any other member of the Magnificent 7 have heard from Flair since last week. Jarrett says he hasn't heard a thing and reminds Mr Bischoff that he had to head into their 4v4 match this Sunday 1 man down. Mr Bischoff says that he will deal with the Ric Flair situation while he's away, and that he would hire a team to track down Flair, as his report to the local authorities seems to have fallen on deaf ears. Mr Bischoff then dismisses Jarrett, telling him to… Run a tight Ship.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WCW World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contender</strong></p><p>

<strong>Diamond Dallas Page vs Booker T vs Kanyon vs Dustin Rhodes</strong></p><p> </p><p>

In tonight's main event for the #1 contenders position at Bash at the Beach, it's two former Champions and two former U.S champions hoping to get their shot and chance at raising the Big Golden Belt. Fresh off his victory last night, it's DDP who gets the first lot of offense as he clears the ring of everyone. It's Kanyon who's the first to make it back in the ring and proceeds to throw punches against the master of the Diamond Cutter. As the match continues, the pace begins to slow down as each person takes their turn to dictate the action. Around the 8 min mark, the members of the Magnificent 7 show up at ringside and proceed to beat down on Booker T and take him to the back with them. Leaving the match to unfold as a 3 way. After Kanyon drops Dustin with his finisher and goes for the pin, it's DDP who breaks it up, and after both getting back to their feet, DDP manages to hit Kanyon with Diamond Cutter, but Kanyon rolls out before he can get the pinfall. This leaves DDP to pick up Dustin and hit the Cutter on him too. DPP then goes for the pinfall and picks up the victory, cementing his place in the Bash at the Beach PPV Main Event slot.</p><p> </p><p>

After the match, Mr Bischoff comes to the ring and shakes the hand of DDP, before the show cuts to a commercial break. When the show returns from commercial break, Eric Bischoff is stood in the ring alone. Bischoff says that he's waited all night, but nobody seems to want to come forward. Bischoff then says there is just 7 mins and counting before his good will amnesty will end and he will hunt down the culprits with the full power and punishment he can dish out. With that, the Arena lights go out and the music hits…</p><p>

<iframe src="<a href="https://open.spotify.com/embed/track/2SWXURCOtfi6OBryFIrzgb" rel="external nofollow">https://open.spotify.com/embed/track/2SWXURCOtfi6OBryFIrzgb"</a> allowtransparency="true" allow="encrypted-media" width="300" height="80" frameborder="0"></iframe></p><p>

The lights then come back on, to show 5 masked assailants all in black. A shocked and shaken Bischoff then drops the microphone and begs them to show him mercy. With that all 5 men jump the WCW C.E.O, with one member seemingly directing traffic, they send one out to get a table. While getting the table the WCW Security guards, referees and agents rush to the ring to save the C.E.O but all 5 clear the ring of tall the back up. They then proceed to set up the table and put the C.E.O of WCW through the tables with a vicious Powerbomb. The lights then go out again, and when they come back on, all 5 men are standing in the ring, with their masks in hand, revealing themselves as none other than Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner, Rick Steiner, Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell. Who all show a new hand signal in what looks like a double “E”, as they scream down the camera shouting “We are the Elite Era of WCW!”. The Show then ends with all 5 members standing over the lifeless body of the WCW C.E.O Eric Bischoff.</p><p> </p><p>

Holy guacamole! Togg... you're presentation is beyond top notch!

If the storys and writing gets that bad... at least i know i can fall back on the graphics :p

You released a good bunch of young upcoming talent in Leroux, Jett, Romeo and Funk.

To be fair, most people do release them. I tend to use those 4 and see if I can push them up the card.

I think the way i was seeing it... Lash, Jett, Romeo, Funk... were all "Future" stars of the old WCW and just didn't "Cut the mustard" for the future. With them gone, it makes more room on the roster, in the future, for more youthful talent.

The cuts were with foresight and the bank balance. Over the next few weeks/months there will be new faces that hopefully fit better. Also nobody too radical or changes that are too far from the "WCW style" :D. I'm hoping to keep things smooth through a change :)

Yeah, as much as I don't like cutting people from the start of the game (without some type of story reason) at least you did it realistically by just dropping some people who are starting at the disadvantage of not being very over to start with. Playing as 2001 WCW, there isn't much of a viable midcard. You basically have your main eventers (Steiner, Booker, those guys), your TV main eventers (guys like Konnan, Douglas, and Morrus who you can count on for a good match but isn't over enough to sustain a storyline with the big boys), and the rest are basically just enhancement crew. Any of those names are ones who could go to a smaller fed and make a bit of a name and then be brought back, or could be brought in on a one night deal to do a quick job.

The show opens with Jarrett, Scott and Rick Steiner, Bagwell and Luger all in the ring. Jarrett has a microphone and egins addressing the crowd. Jarrett calls everyone fools and says he knew he would have everyone looking in the wrong direction while he was planning their takeover of WCW. Jarrett says that they have spent months backing up the crazy antics of Ric Flair, getting involved in silly and pointless feuds and matches just because Flair couldn't control himself. Jarrett says that's when they all came up with the plan to take him out and take over WCW for themselves. Jarrett says Road Warrior Animal was in on it all along, but he has been proving to be a disappointment and last week they had to cut the weakest link, from the chain. Jarrett says the Name of the Magnificent 7 was a complete joke, thought up by the Crazed mind of a mad man in power (Flair). He says they shall now on be know by what they truly are, the Elite of their Era in professional wrestling. Jarrett then goes on to say that, the attack on Bischoff last week wasn't a plan they had all along, but the opportunity arose and it seemed too good to ignore. He says from now on the only man in charge in WCW is him, and you will see tonight that the change will be for the better. Jarrett then thanks his fellow teammates and all 5 pose in the ring, before the show cuts to a commercial</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Rey Mysterio vs Super Crazy</strong></p><p> </p><p>

In the second week of the open challenge, Rey Mysterio is faced with a Lucha star, Super Crazy. Both men put on a great performance. During the match, Hudson states that “Super Crazy is putting on such a good showing, we may see him signed to WCW in the near future”. In the end it's the reigning champion who picks up the victory, after a hard fought battle.</p><p> </p><p>

Backstage Jeff Jarrett is seen sat the desk of the C.E.O, with his name written over the nameplate of Eric Bischoff. Jarrett then calls in a person who is heard knocking the door. Jarrett greets him and asks him to take a seat. Jarrett then makes an offer to Chavo Guerrero of a Cruiserweight Championship match at Bash at the Beach. Jarrett says he's looking to reclaim all the gold in WCW to make the lineage pure from the egotistical champions of it's past. Jarrett asks Chavo if he is up to the job. Chavo says he is more than up to it, and even goes as far as to offer his guarantee of a win. Jarrett tells him to make sure he wins, he then says that if he comes back with the title, he’ll be the new 6th member of the Elite Era. Chavo and Jarrett then shake hands and smile at each other</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Billy Kidman vs Shawn Stasiak</strong></p><p> </p><p>

After last weeks pull apart catfight between Torrie Wilson and Stacy Keibler, it's down to their boyfriends this week to settle the score on their behalf. Kidman is the star of the match, often carrying Stasiak. Both men have exual offence, but the match comes to an abrupt end when Wilson and Keibler start brawling outside the ring. The brawling makes its way into the ring, where the referee then calls off the match. Kidman and Stasiak then place the peach makers, dragging their respective partners appart and away from each other.</p><p> </p><p>

Back from commercial break and all members of the Elite Era are in the ring, except for Scott Steiner. Jarrett addresses the Tag Team Champions, saying they have brought a golden glow to the group. He also says that having the WCW Title in the group is a huge bargaining chip for anyone when they are sat around the table. Jarrett then says he will soon be showered in gold, with the US Title, after he humiliates Sting at Bash at the Beach. Jarrett then says “What about you Rick”, to which Rick looks puzzled. That's when the music of Scott Steiner hits and out he walks with a red velveted back in his hand. Jarrett turns his attention back to Rick and says he should be proud of himself, he is by far the best WCW TV Champion in the history of the company, that's why they have this present for him. Rick then opens the bag brought to the ring by Scott, inside is the WCW TV Title. Jarrett says that now, after Sunday, they can all be Champions. Rick gets on the Microphone and thanks them all, he says he will defend it with pride and not allow scum to get their hands on his belt.</p><p>

With that, the Music of Road Warrior Animal hits and out to comes to the stage. Animal says he thought they were in this together, that he can't believe he fell in with the wrong crowd and got screwed over for it. Jarrett then cuts in and tells him to get out of the arena, he's a waste of TV time. Animal then says why don't they see how much TV time he is worth. Animal challenges Rick Steiner to his newly awarded TV Title. Jarrett interjects and asks why he thinks he deserves a shot, he is the biggest loser in the company. Animal says he doesn't care about #1 contender slots, he says he wants to take the “Elite Era” down to earth with a thud. Animal says he will put his job in WCW on the line for a shot at the title. Jarrett then smiles at Rick before asking him “What do you think”. Rick nods and Jarrett then says “You have yourself a deal”. Jarrett says it will be Title vs Career at Bash at the Beach. Animal then walks to the back at the Elite Era all show off their championship titles.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

In a backstage interview with DDP, Mean Gene asks the new #1 Contender how he plans to battle not only the World Champ, but the entire Elite Era. DDP says he can only deal with one problem at a time, and he hopes it's a clean and fair fight for the title. DDP says he has beaten Scott before and he can do it again. DDP points out that he has been on a roll recently, and that at Bash at the Beach, he doesn't see that stopping. Gene thanks him for his time and heads back to ringside.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Mark Jindrak vs Shane Douglas</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Following from his win over Animal last week, it's a return to difficult competition for Jindrak, as he has to battle the Franchise. In a good match, dictated by Douglas, it becomes a schooling lesson half way through as Douglas outmaneuvers and reverses every move like the veteran that he is. It's however another night for a shocker as Jindrak manages to hit Douglas with his finnisher, in a moment of cockyness on behalf of Douglas. Jindrak then gets the cover for the win.</p><p> </p><p>

Backstage the Locker Room Leaders burst into Jarrett's office and demand a shot at Luger and Bagwell for the titles. Jarrett immediately tells them no and says they can't just demand a shot, they have to earn it. Morrus then points out that Jarrett just appointed himself as #1 contender just last week for the US Title. Jarretts response is that he has earnt a shot time after time and he just cut out the formalities. Konnan then says that he could do the same for them as it would bring in the ratings. Jarrett laughs them off and says he has an idea if they are up for it. Konnan and Morrus nod and Jarrett says he will offer them a chance to earn the slot tonight, if he can beat whoever he decides they should face. Morrus says that's all they ask for and promises to win. Jarrett then yells at them to leave and tells them to get their stuff together because they are up next. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Locker Room Leaders vs 3 Count</strong></p><p> </p><p>

The match starts with Konnan and Hugh Morrus in the ring awaiting their opponents. When it turns out that 3 Count is who they have to go through, they seem to be a little shocked. The match gets underway and it turns into a pretty decent bout. It's the Locker Room Leaders who pick up the victory after Morrus pins Karagias after a Powerbomb.</p><p> </p><p>

<em><strong>Winner: Hugh Morrus</strong></em></p><p>

Immediately after the win, Jarrett’s music hits and he walks out onto the ramp and congratulates Morrus and Konnan. Jarrett then says they now have to go through the next team as he did not specify one specific team. Morrus and Konnan then motion to Jarrett to just bring them on down. <strong>Locker Room Leaders vs Disco Swingers</strong></p><p> </p><p>

In their second challenge of the night, Konnan and Morrus are given a run for their money in a decent match that see’s both teams get more of an equal offence, likely due to them already competing once already tonight. <strong>Locker Room Leaders vs Fit Finlay and Mike Awesome</strong></p><p> </p><p>

In a much better match than the other two, an already fatigued Konnan and Morrus battle through the onslaught from Finlay and Awesome. Most of the match is dominated by Awesome and Finlay who pick apart the Locker Room Leaders, piece by piece. After many near falls and never say die moments from the LRL, a frustrated Awesome goes to the outside to grab a chair, when Lance Storm jumps the barricade and distracts Awesome long enough to allow the LRL to pin Finlay for the victory.</p><p> </p><p>

Yang and Knoble congratulate Kaz on his success last week and his awesome showing at the Great American Bash. Kaz thanks them and says he wants to share the glory with his friends who got him here to begin with. Booker T is backstage signing an autograph for a fan when a door swings open and Kanyon comes storming through it, hitting Booker straight in the face with a kick. As the fan runs off, a hurt Booker slowly gets himself up off the floor before Kanyon hits him with a DDT to the unprotected floor. Kanyon shouts at Booker that this is for last week and his continual disrespect for the Elite Era.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Champion vs Champion</strong></p><p>

<strong>Sting vs Scott Steiner</strong></p><p> </p><p>

In a much anticipated match, the two big title holders in WCW are about to battle it out in a WCW vs Elite Era match. Arguably the biggest heel in the company vs the biggest face. In what is a great match for a WCW NItro Television match, both men put on an excellent performance, with Steiner really playing on his heel tendencies. The match has the crowd engaged all the way through and both men prove why they are the top champions in WCW. The end comes when Jeff Jarrett maked his way to ringside and steps into the ring and gets into Stings face. While the referee is hands on with Jarrett, removing him from the ring, Steiner hits Sting with a low blow from behind. Jarrett then immediately leaves the ring, allowing the referee to turn around and see the pinfall. The referee then counts the 3, oblivious to what just went down.</p><p> </p><p>

Immediately following the match, Jarrett gets back into the ring and stomps on Sting. Steiner then lifts Sting back to his feet and both he and Jarrett proceed to beat him down in the ring. Jarrett then rolls outside and picks up the US Championship. With that, Rick Steiner, Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell come down to the ring and all 5 pose over the body of Sting, all with Championships in their hands.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>
