Mizzito
TPWF: The Premier Wrestling Federation (A TEW Diary) Alright, folks. I got the TEW bug again, but this time I'm looking to actually write up a diary for it which I haven't done in a long time. And what better place... THAN RIGHT HERE.. ON THE GDS FORUMS -thumbs up and smile- Usually when I do these games on my own, I just write my own personal diary that I enjoy reading months from now. For this though, I decided to do it in a different format. All my live show results will be written up as if it was a Wrestling Observer Newsletter. After I did this for my first couple of shows, I realized I was putting in a lot of effort just for myself. So why not share it? So far, I've only committed to doing only my PPV results. But I think in time I'll make it a "best of the week" news recap as well with results from other companies, like in the real world WON. I also plan on writing up news updates like match announcements similar to F4WOnline news articles. I've been reading Observers newsletters for years now, and I feel like I can somewhat capture Meltzer's language. So if it reminds you of Big Daddy Meltz let me know! Some things to note when you read the Newsletters: * The matches will use the same bell time as the in-game times in TEW. * Bolded matches are PPV/broadcasted matches. Non-bolded matches are pre-show matches. You'll see what i mean when you read the results. * Star ratings are a kind of formula that I used all my life (from way back in EWR) and I've seen it now used by other people who figured the same idea. Here are what they translate to while using in-game numbers: 50 and below = DUD or just no ratings 51-53 = 1/4* 54-56 = 1/2* 57-59 = 3/4* 60 = * 61-63 = *1/4 all the way up to 90 = **** 91-93 = ****1/4 94-96 = ****1/2 97-99 = ****3/4 100 = ***** Midcard matches, and lower prestige titles tend to draw lower ratings despite being good matches. Case in point, I have a Junior Heavyweight division and while the workers are great, I can only get a certain rating. So for now I'll be writing them as if they were good matches, even though the actual match ratings may be low. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- To lead into the first Newsletter I'll just provide some details about the promotion. TPWF was made by a group of diehard fans from a message board, who were well off in their lives, and managed to converge, pool together their finances and work their way to investors and secured some serious cash to not only open a wrestling promotion and realize their fanatical dreams, but also securing their most favorite wrestlers in the world. All with the goal of creating a company with THE dream roster. WWE guys, Japan guys, and other indy talent all accepted lucrative deals that they simply could not pass up. But don't worry, WWE still has Roman Reigns, NJPW has Hiroshi Tanahashi and there remains plenty of talent in the world. The schedule will be one PPV per month without TV. Although I'll be looking to get a TV deal soon but that'll all be covered in the following updates. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Titles: TPWF World Heavyweight Championship TPWF Intercontinental Championship TPWF World Junior Heavyweight Championship TPWF World Tag Team Championships The main roster is as follows: Faces Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan) AJ Styles Seth Rollins Ricochet Will Ospreay Rocky Romero Tyler Bate Trent Seven Johnny Gargano Fergal Devitt (Finn Balor) KUSHIDA Dragon Lee Pentagon Jr. Eddie Edwards Davey Richards Alex Shelley Chris Sabin Mascara Dorada (Gran Metalik) Zack Sabre Jr. Kota Ibushi Mark Briscoe Jay Briscoe Jimmy Uso Jey Uso Flip Gordon Rey Mysterio Akira Tozawa Heels Chris Jericho Samoa Joe Nic Nemeth (Dolph Ziggler) Mike Mizanin (The Miz) Shinsuke Nakamura Kenny Omega Cody (Cody Rhodes) Matt Jackson Nick Jackson Razor (Rezar) Aka (Akam) Dash Wilder Scott Dawson Pete Dunne Roderick Strong Kyle O’Reilly Adam Cole Tama Tonga Tanga Loa Hiromu Takahashi Sami Zayn Kevin Steen (Kevin Owens) Marty Scurll PAC (Neville) Face Teams Mustache Mountain (Tyler Bate & Trent Seven) American Wolves (Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards) Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) The Briscoe Brothers (Mark & Jay Briscoe) The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) Heel Teams Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) Authors of Pain (Razor & Aka) The Revival (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson) Undisputed Era (O’Reilly, Strong & Cole) Guerillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) Kevin Steen & Sami Zayn
