Fans can now get bored of a company if it is producing mediocre or uninteresting programming. If this happens, there are knock on effects on merchandise sales and sponsorship income, meaning the company starts paying a financial price. This stops companies resting on their laurels and punishes those who are on auto pilot.

In practical terms, how is “mediocre or uninteresting” defined?

It sounds like it involves more than just show ratings - since it’s easy to get high show ratings booking on “auto pilot” - but what factors does it take into account?

Due to bad booking, they almost never put on shows better than their pop and stay the same or even go down slightly for years with no financial repercussions</p>

<p>Another good entry today!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Minimum Skills:</strong> I'm fairly neutral on this matter, but I do think it makes sense to say, for example, Undertaker doesn't have 0 stamina, even if it's pretty low. Someone with 0 stamina literally can't walk to the bathroom without becoming exhausted.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Time To Hang Up The Boots:</strong> While I'm in favour of more realistic retirements, I also hope (for the sake of realism), that there will be some way to generate occasional anomalies, such as Terry Funk IRL.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Manager Analysis:</strong> Definitely a good, minor tweak. I often wondered if I was even going to be paying my PPA managers, as they weren't part of my show according to the Booking Analysis screen.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Road Agent Advice:</strong> As <strong>lavelleuk</strong> said with regard to the overuse warnings, I hope this is more of a guideline than a solid "this will/will not work." The guesswork and tinkering is a big part of what makes TEW 2016 fun for me.</p><p> </p><p>

Overall, another good day for 2020 news!</p>

The game can already be a little bit like just putting the right people in the right formula, which is understandable, but I'm a bit worried the AI will make it almost impossible to make any mistakes.</p><p> </p><p> Like I said it'd be good as feedback during a show, with live booking if an audible was called to shorten a match leaving you with time to fill, making on the fly booking a bigger thing, that'd be cool, but I don't want to have no surprise drawbacks from my booking lol</p>

A giant's minimum stat for stamina will be lower than a cruiserweight, for example. I also assume it'll be able to be set in the editor.</p>

I like the new features in the last few posts. The boredom of fans feature sounds good. Sounds like it would reflect WWE fans lately with the product.

I like that the road agent will tell you the stamina and stuff of the workers involved in the match. I hate trying to remember the specifics on if a guy can work long matches or not.

Adam is doing a good job of making the game much more polished. All of these smaller things certainly add up to a better experience for sure.

So I guess no pre-booking calendar. Which means the messy list remains as is and therefore makes another game in the series a chore to play. <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Not much more time left, so you might want to put that in the suggestions forum, just in case.

Oh believe me I have. Suggested it myself. Posted my support every time someone else has suggested it. Referenced it in other threads where it might be relevant. I'm anything but new to this idea.

Been pitching gimmick bodytypes for a while.

From what I'd heard, No Man's Sky had a poor reception because it wasn't as people expected. The developers lied during development and made people think the game would have things like great multiplayer where you'd run into other people around the galaxy, and that the universe would be infinite and it'd be impossible to complete the game.

Pretty much this. They talked too much and the released product is garbage compared to how they described it. It's Anthem before Anthem, except No Man's Sky's team works hard afterwards to improve the game and EA doesn't.

I hope it’s based on repetitive booking that goes beyond just wrestler A vs Wrestler B.

For example, being too predictable like featuring the same guys in the main event or following some sort of template where it’s predictable to open the show up with a midcard tag team match “playa”

I also would like to see storyline heat play a role.

Always having the the expected guy win could generate boredom as well...

No we don’t need to turn the game into a smark simulator.

Having it based on show ratings is pretty adequate.

Turning the game into a smark simulator where you lose grades and revenue because “lolcena wins” would probably be the only thing that would ever make me quit buying TEW every edition.

I don’t think it should be based on people winning as much as interesting things happening on the show as a whole.

Gimmick changes, turns, title changes, etc. A stagnant show doesn’t give people a reason to tune in week to week, especially at the large sizes where you’ll have a lot more content and your job is to make it exciting for the fans. Maybe just expand on the negatives if not having interesting storylines.

That post had more to do with being predictable than lolcena wins and smarks but ok...
