There's a lot of reasons why people can't be recruited.</p><p> </p><p> Some mods set it up so only certain people are valid targets.</p><p> Various protectors/roleblockers maybe playing a role.</p><p> DJ or Rev's roles themselves could play a factor in it.</p><p> </p><p> I get where you're coming from, but that feels more like a mole hill than a mountain to me. I'm a "stowaway" which means hider. The way my role worked, I'd die if the person I hide behind is killed or if I hide behind scum. But I was safe from all night targets.</p><p> </p><p> N1: I hid behind Eliphas, new guy wasn't going to die early.</p><p> N2: I hid behind Lukess. Archer convinced me that Lukess was lynchbait but not actual scum.</p><p> </p><p> And from then on, I decided to just play it safe and not use my role to investigate. So I've been hiding behind Lukess every night, knowing he won't get night killed because he's coming off too scummy to everyone.</p><p> </p><p> That's why I know Lukess isn't scum and haven't made any serious efforts towards him other than pushing for him to contribute more to the game. Which is why I've been desperately trying to redirect everyone these last few day phases. </p><p> </p><p> It's why Mich's investigation attempt on me failed and why Bak's recruitment attempt failed. And probably another target or two that went my way. And if anyone doesn't believe me, come my way tonight and see that you won't find me.</p><p> </p><p> I think DJ is who we need to go after today. I'm confident in this direction and feel comfortable believing we're going to hit scum. </p><p> </p><p> And like I said if I'm wrong, I know I'm next for a lynch, I get it. I agree with Rev that arsonist makes sense for what he described. But it is also a pretty powerful role for a smaller game which is where I have my doubts.</p><p> </p><p> If he's telling the truth about his role: We're playing with fire by letting him live. He could've set up some targets and get to kill 3-4 players one night which would be enough for scum to probably win or at least get super close. And I could see DJ as scum saving that ability for when it could win the game (rather than do it early). If he is telling the truth and is scum, then we need him lynched ASAP.</p><p> </p><p> If he's lying about his role: It stole a lot of last day phase's conversation away and made Bak the pretty much only viable target by the end of the phase. And it's a claim that no one really has any way to validate, so we just have to take him at his word (which is a challenge for me at this point).</p><p> </p><p> The nagging struggle I've had this entire game was why am I/Rev/DJ/Destiny all getting to stay in the game so long. At least 1 of us should be gone by this point. And I feel like the answer is DJ is scum and wanted to have people that he knew would be a challenge to play against. When we were aligned as masons, even though he knew Astil was scum he wanted us to avoid lynching him so he could have some more time together. I feel like that's why Rev has been allowed to live so long. </p><p> </p><p> DJ and I are friends and he's helped me grow as a player a lot. So I can see that as a reason he'd keep me alive so long. That, and getting to rub it in my face if his scum team wins this one.
