I gave up on going to the cinema. I get too uncomfortable even when the running times are reasonable (and they add 20 minutes of previews and ads anyway). 3 hours plus = no chance in hell.

I'll catch up on Captain Marvel and Endgame on blu-ray, praying I don't read any major spoilers before then.

I'm seeing it on Saturday with my best friend. So excited! Tears will be shed I'm sure <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Apparently it's the end of a chain of... how many movies? I've seen Thor and another movie (Avengers? They ended up getting kebab at the end, that's all I remember). That's pretty much it.

The movies were bland and somehow the theater managed to screw up my experience a bit by showing the trailer of the frickin' movie I was seeing before the movie started. Why? I had to cover eyes and ears like a child. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I'm sure you are hyped after so much buildup. I just don't really connect with Marvel movies, though I've loved Spiderman and X-men as a kid. The Spiderman movies were good though. Xmen was... ok. I like the DC Universe more. Must be a personal thing.

I thought I would weigh in on this, and since I happened to see it, I want to say

SPOILER ALERT

I was being glib. Fantastic Four and their roster of otherworldly characters... I mean I can't wait to see Galactus done right.

Not to mention the X-Men, and all the stuff they can do right with that as well. When I say right, I don't necessarily mean "better" for those that enjoyed all the Wolverine movies and the one or two X-Men movies (that's how I seen them as anyways). I enjoyed them quite a bit myself, so let me clarify. By right (anytime I say it), I mean halfway done as their comic-book counterparts were done. A little more accuracy, with the hindsight corrections they can make. Like for example, I didn't like "Last Stand", I didn't like Apocalypse. Funny thing is, I did like his horsemen, but... I want a better MCU done redo of him as well.

Well, most of this cast are big name celebs who've made a ton of money, are getting older and don't want to do the big stunt setpieces anymore, and would possibly like to eat a carb at some point in their lives. One I honestly didn't expect too. I mean.. I don't really understand the Mechanics involved in Endgame, but I see a way two of them I thought were permanent gone, can be totally back now.

I have no problem with Black Panther, in fact I really liked it and thought it was one of the better Marvel movies. One of the best in terms of villains as well, loved both.

I don't think they are going to go complete 180 just yet, but the possibilities have definitely been laid out in the movie so I'm not going to say you are wrong either. I just think they are doing it (in hindsight) in a more correct/natural way, instead of how the comics did it.

Also, I liked Man of Steel, Batman Vs Superman "Dawn" and Wonder Woman (not the CGI mess at the ends of the last two, but the movies in general I liked), Aquaman (freakin... WHAT?), and Shazam (I liked Shazam better than Captain Marvel, if I were to compare them).

Suicide Squad and Justice League were messes, although parts I enjoyed in both. It was just too obvious they both were like squishing together two different movies, with different personalities (especially JL). And the CGI villains sucked as well.

Overall, Marvel has provided me with entertaining movies that although has some inconsistencies, I felt they were masterfully well laid out. I can't wait to see what Kevin does with all the toys he now has to play with.

Of any villain in marvel he's the one that can follow up and surpass Thanos. Galactus is too one-note to me. Doom can be involved all over the mcu though. He's fits in the mystical type films, political, and the more technological/scientific realms as well.

Galactus could be a good villain for 1 Phase while Doom could carry things for multiple phases as there is much much more to his character.

I could see a phase revolving around Doom trying to harness the Power Cosmic and bringing the attention of the Surfer and Galactus to earth. Or Doom getting involved with Black Panther, with Wakanda and Latveria being away odds. His connection to Mephisto and training in dark magic lend himself to some Dr Strange dealings as well.

Just so much more there than "I want to eat your planet" lol

I swear people think I am being a contrarian when I say this but I truly felt the movie was just okay. I felt that Infinity War was the far better movie.

Now do not get me wrong I enjoyed End Game, there were parts I really enjoyed, but it was not the end all to be all that most are making it out to be. It is nowhere near the best superhero movie ever made either.

I guess to an extent maybe my preference for DC characters might be coloring my opinion, but I do not think that is the case (There have been a ton of bad DC movies). As there have been other Marvel movies I have found to be better.

I think part of it is that the cast is too big, though I do think they did a good job in dividing out the screen time. People are complaining that Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America got the most screen time but to me that is how it should be due to the fact that for the past decade they have been the driving forces behind the MCU.

Off topic, I personally would love to see a Moon Knight movie. Though I am not sure he is popular enough to carry a movie. Maybe a television series.

I really liked it. It has a fair amount of fanservice and slight inconsistencies just like Infinity War, but once you're able to look past it's a dang fine movie with many highs and lows. Worth the experience on the big screen. I do wish Captain Marvel was a bit further developed and the last fight lasted a bit longer but overall it delivered.

I liked it. Not as much as Infinity War, but a lot of that comes from the overall tone. This was quiet and brooding, while Infinity War was a bombastic explosion of character meetups.

Three Star as a movie. Four star as an ending. I was fairly pleased with how most of the characters ended up, and look forward to the future.

Infinity War was a totally different movie and I'm glad they shifted the tone. Endgame was definitely more emotional and slow-paced but, at the same time, I still felt the movie went pretty fast.

Having said that, I loved both movies. I say this as a quasi-comic reader and mainly read synopsis online of the comic storylines. I believe they did a wonderful job especially when you take in account the roster of actors, the post-production was done masterfully (I believe the editor(s) and visual effects people should get more credit) and, at the same time, the writing has been consistently been well done. Was there fan service? Of course that was going to happen! I don't think that cheapens the movie at all and that final action scene was so good!

I think it's easy to nitpick at little things Endgame could've done without but the overall experience was great. It gave me chills and tears, like a good emotional climax should be done. Four star movie to me!
