Texas Wrestling League - Texas Forever

Rip Chord

So this is a weird feeling. I have the book again in Texas. Honestly, when me and Austin overslept and missed the flight to El Paso that I wouldn’t have the book down here ever again. I mean missing the show as the Champion was completely unacceptable. Stamper replaced me with Nero and had me drop the belt to Pat then he told me either go to rehab or leave the territory, and well dammit I like Texas, so I went and have been able to control my drinking problem since then.

Stamper came and pulled me aside at the annual Thanksgiving show and told me that I was getting the book back in January. He also told me not to tell anyone until he made the announcement to the boys officially.

After being renamed the booker of TWL I made my first official piece of business by contacting the office down at OLLIE.

Recently OLLIE had been struggling because four of their biggest stars El Barbaro, Mephisto, El Fantasma and El Águila Americana all decided to walk out and form Mexico Premier Wrestling Federation. OLLIE has been struggling since the four guys left to make any real challengers for El Patron. Luckily, being in Texas we have a lot of different guys that we can send down there. Plus they have plenty of guys I feel can really connect with the fans up here.

The next office I called was BHOTWG. Similarly to OLLIE, BHOTWG was struggling to find new challengers for their established heros. Plus honestly I really want to wrestle Elemental and see if all of the hype is warranted.

It was tough negotiating with the Japanese but luckily Thompson owes me a favor and convinced Mr. Watanabe that the partnership could be beneficial for both parties. With the caveat that I can have the TWL belts defended while on tour with BHOTWG. Luckily, they accepted because I really had no leverage, but this will allow us to claim to have World titles in Texas. That should really be a big draw for houses.

The next office was Calgary and I talked to Dan Stone and Ed Henson. I told them that I was taking over the book in Houston and told them the idea that I had to work together.

The two were really reluctant at first but eventually I was able to convince them to agree and finally the last part of my relationship building efforts were done.

Now, I needed to bring in some fresh talent. I started putting feelers out to some of my friends in the business and ended up with a really good group of guys. I also needed to bring in my muscle. When I was working in Boston I was able to catch some of Eisen’s product.

There was one guy that really stood out to me. He was perfect fit Big, scary looking, and mean. Plus, he was in the middle of one of Eisen’s hottest angles. So I got Mayhem’s number from a mutual friend and I called the big man up.

I introduced myself and layed out my vision for him. The thing I like about Mayhem the most is that he didn’t grow up a wrestling fan so he wasn’t star struck by anyone in the business.

So after we talked Mayhem agreed to come in on an exclusive contract with us and leave Eisen hung out to dry, like Eisen had done to us when he nearly closed the territory down. So before getting off the phone with Midden I told him that if he knew anyone that wanted to leave that they had a spot in Texas and that we would use them.

I talked to Nero and decided that I would take backover at the first spot show of the year in Sherman, Texas.

Sherman, Texas - Jan Wk 1 Tue

***TWL Heavyweight Championship***

Rip Chord vs. The Lone Star Stampeder

Master & Apprentice vs. The Sadistic Duo

Trailer Park Kid vs. Larry Vessey

***Captain’s Match***

Mark Krogan vs. Timberwolf

So I've had the idea of reviving the old TWL dynasty that I started years ago. The real inspiration behind this was actually Historian's Dynasty The Climb, which if you aren't following you really need to. So this is going to be rough I haven't done one of these in a long time but it really is just me doing this for fun, and I would appreciate if you came along on this story.

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Austin McCoy</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

"The Wild Boy" Austin McCoy is a rowdy Oklahoman all-rounder who has the tools and personality to become a major star, as was evidenced in his great run in SWF- which saw him win the United States Title, only to be fired shortly thereafter for a brush with the law.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

He won a state title in wrestling during high school, and he augments his mat skills with high energy brawling. Sadly, his run-in with the law was only a scratch on the surface of his personal problems, as he is a heavy drinker who had been flirting with hard drugs in the past.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

Nevertheless, McCoy is doing well for himself back in his old stomping grounds, (he was one of the many who followed Rocky Streets to SWF) joining the Texas Outlaws stable and quickly establishing himself as a main event player.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="Y4lQcpK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Y4lQcpK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Chief Two Eagles</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

A rising star in the South and a name who is beginning to become nationally known, Chief Two Eagles is thought of as a sure fire world champion. A very good brawler with the charisma to match, he uses his Native American heritage to great effect, and is one of the most instantly recognizable faces on the U.S. scene.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="NaFq4OG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NaFq4OG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Pat Deacon</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

"Perfect" Pat Deacon is a rugged brawler who can also take it to the mat if need be. Originally working in CWB, Deacon's lack of a great look saw him relegated to the undercard. He almost left the business, but star veteran "English" Bill Reginald took him under his wing and provided some tips on how he could garner a better crowd reaction.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

Deacon took the advice to heart, and started to have better and better matches but simply could not escape the stigma of being a jobber in CWB. By this time, Deacon and Reginald had become close friends and Reginald's injuries had forced him to retire early. At Reginald's suggestion, the duo became a wrestler-manager team and relocated to TWL.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

Reginald helped Deacon debut with a memorable promo proclaiming him the "Perfect Wrestler", and Deacon lived up to that in his first 2 years in TWL, racking up a long undefeated streak and collecting the TWL title along the way. Though the streak has since been broken, Deacon remains a top babyface.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Rip Chord</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

At just 27 years old, Rip Chord is already considered easily one of the 10 best workers on the planet. Chord is well versed in the basics and a master in the art of chain wrestling, not to mention a loathsome heel who can get an entire arena against him with just 5 minutes and a microphone. It goes without saying that TWL considered it a major coup when they convinced Chord to work exclusively in Texas, going so far as to make him head booker, a position he occupied for about 5 months before missing a show and being removed in favor of Professor Nero.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

The truth is that Chord genuinely enjoys both the wrestling atmosphere and lifestyle in Texas, and has several friends in the back. While the nightly binge drinking is sure to eventually take its toll on him, Rip is loving life at this point and there seems to be nothing outside his grasp in the industry.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Upper Midcarders</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="9PUJe6q.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9PUJe6q.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Floyd Bowman</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

Floyd Bowman, better known as "F Bomb" in TWL, is the brawler of the Texas Outlaws, and he can definitely brawl with the best of them. However, the element of Floyd's game that makes him really stand out is his transcendent charisma; he was such a flippant and cool heel that eventually the Texas fans started to cheer him for doing bad things. </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

Bowman is less traveled than his Outlaw counterparts, but is arguably more revered in the Mid South and surrounding areas. His only drawback is a severe drinking problem that has begun to noticeably take its toll.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="rsrkstA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rsrkstA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Mayhem Midden</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

Ken "Mayhem" Midden is a professional wrestler who is making his debut late in life, having been "discovered" by SWF star Black Jack in Nevada after Midden whipped him in a bar fight. The two became fast friends afterward, and Jack even trained Mayhem as a pro wrestler, thinking his real life Badassness would carry over well into an in-ring persona. Midden is making his debut as a rule-breaking heel, infamous for using his Mayhem Piledriver finisher to try and permanently take out babyfaces.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

Recently, Midden has jumped ship and signed an exclusive contract with TWL.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="4J0ghWA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4J0ghWA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="iVA6rlT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iVA6rlT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Mean Mark Green</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

"The Mean Machine", Mark Green, is a skilled all-around worker who was one of the original members of TWL's vaunted Texas Outlaws gang along with Floyd Bowman. Recruited by "The Outlaw" Jackson Andrews, the duo was so successful at getting their take-no-nonsense characters over that eventually the crowds were solidly behind them. </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

While they did cost their boss the title for their official face turn, they continued to act as they always had, very ignorant to the appeals of the crowd and entirely focused on doing whatever it took to win. Now a 4-man supergroup in TWL, Green stays almost exclusively in the tag team division and is the backbone of the group.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="4J0ghWA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4J0ghWA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="df8RJ0s.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/df8RJ0s.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Trailer Park Kid</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

"The Trailer Park Kid" Mikey Montana became a member of the Texas Outlaws by catching an unusual break in 1974. Floyd Bowman rolled his truck on the way to the show in Oklahoma, and the Outlaws were scheduled to make a big tag title defense against the Motorheads. TPK was supposed to job in the opener under a hood, but Mark Green had taken notice of his high flying skills & underrated charisma on prior shows, and recruited him as the newest member of the Outlaws.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

A flashy worker who fits right in with the rest of the brawling bunch in TWL, Montana (no relation to Tex Montana in AAFW) has overcome his small size and is a valuable member of the Outlaws stable.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Midcarders</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="VDFyHi6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/VDFyHi6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Dean Davis</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

"The Dean of Submissions" Dean Davis was a submission specialist who was regarded as one of the best workers of the late 50's and the 60's. He has slowed down with age, and his methodical style is considered somewhat boring now.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="FPeDHlx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FPeDHlx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Johnny Boy Tucker</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

Johnny Boy Tucker is a young brawler from Tennessee who is working his way up the independent scene. He is well liked backstage, so he is currently getting pushed slightly more than some would say he deserves, but others think he might have what it takes to be a star- including the Legend of the South, Mark Krogan himself. </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

Krogan has taken Tucker under his wing, and the two team regularly in AAFW and TWL. Still not as talented as many of his peers, being seen with Lariat has given Tucker somewhat of a "rub", and fans have bought into his place as a midcarder.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="saTebFE.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/saTebFE.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Mark Krogan</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

Mark "The Lariat" Krogan is a southern legend who has been a mainstay down there since the late 50's, wrestling on some of the first organized cards ever to be held below the Mason-Dixon Line. He's been with both TWL and AAFW since their inception, and making the 800 mile drive between shows with Krogan in his subcompact Volvo is considered a genuine rite of passage for young workers coming up in the south.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

An incredible brawler who helped influence a generation of young wrestlers from Texas to Tennessee, Krogan is a virtual unknown outside these two territories, having never worked anywhere else. Now in the later years of his career, "The Lariat" has settled in and works in the midcard, hoping to have a hand in the creation of the next great southern star.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="T6ecjRA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/T6ecjRA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Professor Nero</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

"The Intelligent Monster" Professor Mycroft Nero is an excellent brawler who is nefarious in the Southern U.S. for making baby faces' lives miserable. A heel straight to the core, Nero cheats whenever possible and will use a weapon whenever the opportunity presents itself. His nickname is somewhat misleading: although he is a master of playing mind games with his foes, Professor Nero weighs in at about 215 lbs.- not very monstrous.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="qZycREW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qZycREW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Rampage</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

Rampage is a talented hardcore brawler with a genuinely spooky look. Despite having been in the business for about 9 years now, he's still considered to have mediocre basics that drag his workrate down, which was the reason Gene Plumelli cited when firing him from CWB. He's also generally a pain in the ass backstage, always causing some sort of drama- his termination from AAFW came after he put a rat he purchased at a local pet store in ex-girlfriend Miss Bliss' gym bag. </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

He now works in TWL as one of Professor Nero's underlings. So far he's been on his best behavior, knowing he might not have many places left to go from here.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="d9dLGSF.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/d9dLGSF.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">The Lone Star Stampeder</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

"The Lone Star Stampeder" Erick Campbell was just another midcarder in the Texas Wrestling League for the promotion's first few years, which didn't bother him at all, as by that point in his career he was already wrestling just for the love of it. However, when Rocky Streets left the promotion to join SWF, preparing to shut the doors behind him on the way out, Stampy (as he's known now in the back) stepped in.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

It took almost everything Campbell had saved, but he persuaded Streets to sell him TWL, instantly making him a hero to fans and wrestlers alike. Despite this, Stampy keeps himself smack dab in the middle of the card, maintaining that he just wants to wrestle.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="vyEzOin.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vyEzOin.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">TimberWolf</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

TimberWolf (Tim Wolford) is a good high flier who has worked mainly in TWL during his 6 year career so far. He invented the TimberWolf gimmick in 1972, after TWL brought in a few masked luchadores to replace workers lost to SWF. He currently serves as Professor Nero's subordinate, carrying out ambushes for him and intervening in his matches when necessary. The two have also enjoyed some success in the tag team division, despite not claiming the titles yet.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Lower Midcarders</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="Z1x5lNf.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Z1x5lNf.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Carlos Reyes</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

Carlos Reyes is a decent luchador style worker who frequently does shows for TWL. He has worked in OLLIE as the masked character El Guardiano, but never stood out, and spends most of his time in the US. He and Pavel Landis recently decided use their heritage to come up with a great gimmick- illegal immigrants. They call their team the Border Runners, and they have drawn the ire of both the Texas fans and Team Texas (at least in the storylines).</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="ZMwX2Y6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ZMwX2Y6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Pavel Landis</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

Pavel Landis is a young man from Europe who moved to the United States after finding little work in Europe. He has charisma and can cut humorous promos, but is still a mediocre wrestler. Nevertheless, TWL took a chance on the youngster, and he hasn't disappointed so far, working a great gimmick with Carlos Reyes that plays on their foreign heritage. Landis' mic work helps greatly, as he loves telling the fans he snuck into the U.S. from Mexico because it was so easy to fool the stupid Texans.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="JG8HGGP.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JG8HGGP.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Warlord Agony</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

Warlord Agony is a face-painted rookie brawler who could do very well down the road, but his brawling (his strongest suit) is still very weak at this point. Still, his combination of size, power, and the look of a superstar are undeniable.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

He is currently paying his dues in TWL, and while management is doing their best to protect him, he isn't winning very many matches right now.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="CRG8UEy.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CRG8UEy.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Warlord Pain</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

Warlord Pain is a rookie who is looking to follow friend Warlord Agony into the biz. He's only 17, like Pain was when he entered into wrestling, but he has better basic skills than his partner did at the same age.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Openers</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="oa8zvTH.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/oa8zvTH.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Archie Judge</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

"The Governor" Archie Judge is a tough rookie who uses a European style of wrestling. He is currently paying his dues in TWL, where has made friends with the owner, The Lone Star Stampeder. They just started tagging together as "Team Texas"- a big step up for Archie, who was the resident jobber beforehand.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><img alt="bfoKNUn.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bfoKNUn.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

</span><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Larry Vessey</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

Larry Vessey is a genuinely tough kid who broke into the business early with TWL. He's still paying his dues there, but has improved rapidly and should finding himself slowly moving up the roster.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

I get to the building about two hours before call time and walk through the building to make sure everything is set up correctly. I then make my way to the heel locker room and carve out my spot in that cramped sweat stained janitors closet. I say my hello’s as the Timberwolf, Rampage, and Larry start making their way in. After a few minutes Stamper gathers both locker rooms and lets the boys know that I’m taking the book back from Nero. After a pregnant pause the guys start to congratulate me and we get back to business.

***Captain’s Match***

Mean Mark Green vs. Warlord Pain

After the show some of the boys in the back were giving John Boy the cold shoulder after John Boy didn't catch wolfie on a dive and he twisted his ankle. Krogan had John Boy walk into the heel locker room and he publicly apologized for not catching him. Wolfie accepted and that was that. Besides that dustup things went really smoothly I felt that for a spot show we killed it. As I was getting dressed Stamper came up and asked me how it felt to be back in charge and I told him that it felt good to be back and that I was thankful for the second chance with that we shook hands and I started the long trip back to Houston.

Once I was back in Houston I got the call that Johnny had gotten attacked when him and Krogan were fighting their way to the back after a match and he had gotten cut pretty bad. They told me that he would be alright but that he would be out for about a month. I had to scramble to find a replacement for the show. Luckily, a couple of the guys lived locally to the show and I was able to find a last minute replacement.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

I was standing in the dirty shower in the motel room down the road from the Austin Convention Center when Ken knocked on the wall and asked if I was alright following an altercation with a fan at a gas station on the way here. Luckily, Ken is one big bastard and was there to back me up. I stepped out of the shower and told him that I was fine. I got dressed and looked over the card for Saturday one last time. Happy with what I saw I got ready and me and Ken got ready and we hit the bar.

After a night out on the town I dropped Ken off at the airport and started the drive back home to my ranch outside of Houston. Once I got there I had a message from George saying that they had made it to DFW and that he and Whipper would be there Saturday, which was great news to hear as me and George were the ones that helped set up this arrangement. So with everything in place I decided to go out and grab some dinner.
