Hollywood
THE CHANGE OF ERA - New Japan Pro-WrestlingThe end of the 30-year Heisei Era looms over Japan as Emperor Akihito prepares to abdicate from his position. Great change has swept the country during the last Era, but times have changed as many look back on the Era fondly, for both the good and the bad. The Heisei Era had a big impact on New Japan Pro-Wrestling and shaped it into what it is today. The first-ever big Tokyo Dome match was promoted at the start of the Era – which has led to many memorable bouts since in the Tokyo Dome at many fantastic Wrestle Kingdom events. The Heisei Era has been one of peace, which has led to the establishment of many long-term and highly effective relationships between New Japan Pro-Wrestling and other global brands – one of the first being World Championship Wrestling, with the global partnerships with Ring of Honor, Revolution Pro Wrestling, and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre now being the flagbearers of ultimate partnerships. The Era brought forth a changing of the guard in the Land of the Rising Sun, but most notable for New Japan was the rise of “The Ace” Hiroshi Tanahashi, who revived the wrestling promotion with a much needed shot in the arm and amassing a total of 8 IWGP Heavyweight Champion reigns. Tanahashi’s rise led to the creation of “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada, the present and the arguable future of New Japan. The current IWGP Heavyweight Champion proves to be the bridge of the old Heisei Era and the new Reiwa era. That is, however, if the transition from one Era to the next is smooth – but the seas of New Japan look to be rocky as major disasters loom in the distance in the form of “Switchblade” Jay White, Kota Ibushi, Will Ospreay, and even Tanahashi himself. The new Era is not guaranteed to be a successful one for many of the New Japan Pro-Wrestling stars. Only they can make the fight to lead the path to a golden Reiwa Era in New Japan. Who will be the one to be the driving force of New Japan Pro-Wrestling in this new Era? Who will reach the highest of highs? Who will fall victim to the casualties of change? This is the CHANGE OF ERA. This is NEW JAPAN PRO-WRESTLING.

Hollywood
Ah yes, I know what you are thinking... "damn, Hollywood with yet ANOTHER diary", haha. I want to thank everybody who read and enjoyed my WWE 205 Live diary but I will be 100% with y'all, it's dead chief. WWE has killed all passion I have for the brand lately and I was STRUGGLING to try and write something about it. Why should O care about what they are doing when they don't even consider it a worthy brand. Anywho, here we go with my new New Japan Pro-Wrestling diary. If you have been following my posts, you will know that I am a big NJPW and puro fan and really take a liking to the touring schedule of these companies. This one will start after the big G1 Supercard in MADISON SQUARE GARDEN as we embark on the road to Wrestling Dontaku. The next post will have the predictions and you will all have the chance to play along. I have not yet decided on what kind of prediction game I should run with the diary, but give me some suggestions and I will look at all of them! Here's to a fun ride as we start the Reiwa Era! CobheadJake
Shame to hear you're stopping your 205 live diary as it was very unique and I personally really enjoyed it, but I can understand your reasoning. Nevertheless, I am very excited for this. Cant wait!
