Termination after failed drug test

Recommended Posts

If I fire someone for a failed drug test, do I have to pay the remainder of their written deal?

You do not. Think of it as WWE wellness policy, instead in this case you can fire them in the first strike if you want to. Or never fire them if you wish to. But drug test failure firing will never cost you a dime.

You can get away with it but there is always that risk. If it's their first violation, I'd say send them to rehab.

I've had Jake Roberts win a lawsuit against me when I fired him for wrestling wasted. I don't think firing someone who shows up to work wasted would be considered a wrongful termination in real life.
