The Recklessverse

Released: November 25, 2019

With DAVE on the brink of death, backyard wrestling is more popular than ever. Young high schoolers and aspiring wrestlers are creating promotions in their backyard to fill the gap, and Xtreme Danger Wrestling sits atop that mountain. XDW helped popularize backyard wrestling, with it's five stars being the most popular yardies in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, XDW might be closed by the end of the year, so it seems like another promotion will have to take their spot soon.

We've all heard the story about Xtreme Danger Wrestling. The hottest backyard wrestling federation in America, it held the five most popular backyard wrestlers in the world: Daredevil Aero, Extreme Deluxe, Fearless Blue, Super Sonic, and Xavier Reckless. However, we've never had the opportunity to play as them, or in the gritty, unsanctioned world of backyard wrestling.

The starting total of active wrestlers is 91. The mod will start out small, but will grow overtime. It will only involve America, and all other regions will be untouched. The start of the mod will be January 2007. Pictures used will come from free pictures, smw88, and other sources I don't remember.

Thanks to CreeperGav, who did a lot of the grunt work for this mod and has effectively made this mod possible to release in a playable condition.

Work has admittedly slacked off on the mod over the last few months, but no longer. Starting September 1st, I'll go hard to work on the mod, and will hopefully get it finished by the end of November.

To summarize what's currently made, there are 2 teams, 3 companies, 32 workers, 2 events, 1 location, 4 titles, and 2 narratives. I sincerely want to make this mod great, so that people can enjoy playing the backyard wrestling scene in the CVerse in 2007, even if TEW isn't meant to simulate local indie companies, let alone backyard federations.

The next entry will be on September 5th, followed by an entry every two days afterwards.

Excited for this mod! I like smaller C-Verse mods and running a backyard promotion sounds like an interesting change of pace.

It'll obviously be a little wonky, since TEW isn't built to support local Indie companies, let alone backyard promotions. However, with some work I think it'll be alright.

A three time XDW Danger Champion, Reckless is the primary heel of the company. Born in Los Angeles, Reckless has lived his entire life there and is used to the way of life in the southern part of the city. However, unlike others in his neighborhood, Reckless looks to make something out of his life through wrestling. Behind the scenes, Reckless is best friends with Lee Bambino, the announcer and booker of the company. Reckless hopes to break into the wrestling business at the end of the year.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;">The inaugural XDW Danger Champion, "The Backyard Sensation" Extreme Deluxe is the lead babyface of XDW. A daredevil by trade, Deluxe is known to yardigans (fans of backyard wrestling) as a yardie who will do anything if it involves flying through the air. Raised in the peach state, Sonic would get his start in backyard wrestling by trampoline wrestling in his backyard. At the age of 13, he moved to Los Angeles and began attending school with the other students who eventually became his co-workers in Xtreme Danger Wrestling. Now a triple crown champion in the company, Sonic looks to continue to be an integral part of the company.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

They founded Xtreme Danger Wrestling, and Blue would team with his best friend Super Sonic as Redneck Rage. They're now three time XDW Tag Champions. Blue is considered the least talented and least popular member of the Dangerous Five, and has yet to win the XDW Danger Championship.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

While still in school, he would meet Xavier Reckless, and the two became best friends. It didn't take long for their group to expand to a total of 6, and Xtreme Danger Wrestling was formed, with Bambino serving as head booker. Some say he's the reason Xavier Reckless is a three time XDW Danger Champion, but Bambino has said he is unbiased, and doesn't let personal relationships interfere with his booking. As he gets older, some wonder what will happen to XDW as he prepares to debut in pro wrestling.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Austin Hill

Charismatic in the ring and awful backstage, Austin Hill is a cocky 17 year old from Los Angeles. A good looking kid, Hill is known as a young womanizer and true jerk. Wrestling only because it's cool and his currently girlfriend, Valerie Capes, likes it, Hill is actually a good competitor. After hearing about XDW through the student grapevine, he joined the company, and has risen through their ranks fast. Hill is the current XDW Aerial Assault Champion, and is looking to become the first XDW Danger Champion who is not a part of the Dangerous Five.

Sammy Sensational

"Sensational" Sammy Jack is one of XDW's fastest rising stars. The natural enemy of Austin Hill, Sammy is only 16 and debuted in April 2004, a full 13 months after XDW opened. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Sammy would soon find himself in contact with Xavier Reckless. Though not a part of the Dangerous Five, he did know Xavier Reckless and the two are neighbors, and Sammy sometimes joined them in wrestling. After being persuaded to start wrestling, Sammy joined XDW. Though he hasn't won any titles with them yet, he is considered one of their stars for the future.

Orlando Michaels

A his name suggests, Orlando Michaels is a native of Orlando Florida. A lifelong fan of wrestling, he was an inaugural member of FFP and was even a primary star for them in singles wrestling. When his family moved to California in 2004, he had to say goodbye to Florida, and soon found work with CCW. However, he soon got into a dispute with the owner of the company, Aviation, who refused to put the main title on Michaels. This eventually resulted in Michaels leaving in June 2006, but his friend Sammy Sensational introduced him to Xavier Reckless. Reckless hired him and it's obvious that the Florida native will soon be main eventing for the company.

Dangerous DJ

"The One Man Disco Party" Dangerous DJ is an 18 year old yardie currently working for XDW. Debuting in January 2004 with CCW, DJ would become a main eventer for the company, and had a good reign with the CCW Coastal Championship. However, in March 2006 he had a dispute with company owner and booker Aviation, and when Xavier Reckless heard he quickly brought DJ to XDW. Since then XDW have been grooming him overtime, and look to potentially make him a main eventer, though his in-ring skills aren't quite good enough for that.

Mr. Reckless

The father of Xavier Reckless, Mr. Reckless is the road agent and referee for his son's company, XDW. Reckless himself is a retired wrestler, wrestling under the name Reckless Danger, his career spanned from 1977 to 2001. Though he never achieved much, he was used a few times by TWL and DAVE as enhancement talent. Using his money to fund XDW, Mr. Reckless seems to be proud of his son, and might take over the company to keep it running once his son goes pro.

The Surfer Twins

Jake James and Stan James are actual twins who wrestle as a team called Surf's Up. Lifelong fans of wrestling, the duo love CZCW and the second Xavier Reckless opened XDW, they joined. They've since become two time XDW Tag Team Champions, and both have one reign with the XDW Aerial Assault Championship. There's word that they want to join CZCW once they turn 18, but CCW is looking to hire them and officially start the war with XDW.

Valerie Capes

The most popular teen girl in backyard wrestling, 16 year old Valerie Capes is the girlfriend and manager of Austin Hill. Though she knows nothing about wrestling, Hill convinced her to be his manager, and the two are seen together at every show.

As of now, there are five companies. The rosters are being filled overtime. The companies are listed in order of their place in the company wars tab:

1. Xtreme Danger Wrestling

2. Insane Clown Wrestling

3. Championship Wrestling League

4. Coastal Championship Wrestling

5. Florida Fighting Pro

I look to make two more promotions, and potentially expand the number as time goes on. Suggestions will be accepted.

Next post will be on September 20, 2019.

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">The odd backyard promotion that isn't full of blood and spotfests, CCW is the product of Aviation, a yardie. Seeing the success XDW was having, Aviation tried getting onto the roster, but Xavier Reckless didn't need anyone else at the time. Determined, he opened CCW and based it off of his favorite company: CZCW. So far, the company has done decently well, but some think Aviation is a poor owner, as he's driven to good talents away from the company. Meeting in pre-school when Spillane dived onto Malloy from the small slide into the nearby sandbox, the two have been inseparable ever since. They would found Florida Fighting Pro in December 2002, 3 months before XDW was born. FFP would be simply a mostly locally known backyard fed, and the two focused the company on tag wrestling, where they formed their team "The American Cobras". In January 2004, Malloy's family had a job opportunity In California. Refusing to be left behind in Florida, Spillane traveled with them and now lives alongside Malloy. The two are 17 and 19 years old respectively, and have been wrestling fans for their entire lives. Debuting in January 2004 for CCW as The Assassins, Raul is Assassin #1 and Rico is Assassin #2. A fair enough team, the two are the current CCW Duos Champions. Despite being the eldest and the more talented of the two, Rico isn't considered the more popular brother. There are rumors Rico might end his wrestling career soon, but as of now, the two continue to work for CCW.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

<strong><span style="font-size:14px;">El Chico Azul</span></strong></p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">El Chico Azul (The Blue Boy) is a popular yardie working in CCW. When XDW increased the popularity of backyard wrestling, the Crazy Midget Clown Klan had to follow. After a dispute backstage with the three accusing Xavier Reckless of favoring himself and his friends, SoCal Elite left California in December 2006 and traveled to New York to work for XDW's rivals, ICW. They're set to debut at the start of 2007. Many people don't know that behind the scenes, 20 year old Lil' Curtis is the legal guardian of his 16 year old partners. The two don't know who their parents are, and Curtis is the legal guardian of both of them. This has made the trio close, and might help them once they make it into the world of pro wrestling.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Brimstone</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;">Mysterious, crazy, and downright terrifying, Brimstone is the hooded yardie who is known for his work in ICW. Debuting on their first show, he soon made an impact as the baddest guy on the roster. Willing to peform crazy high-flying dives and take crazy bumps, Brimstone set himself apart in a unique way and is a hit with tape traders. He won the first King Of The Clowns tournament in 2004, and won the Clown King Championship from Big Bone two months later. Undefeated in the company, Brimstone is rumored to have some pro wrestling companies such as DAVE monitoring his progress. Unfortunately for him, he might need to learn how to not injure his opponents, as he recently injured Black Knight and nearly injured Big bone in their first match.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Big Bone</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:14px;">"The Baddest Man In Town" Big Bone is the primary heel of ICW and their answer to Xavier Reckless. Born and raised in New York, Big Bone is a very street smart person who can survive even the toughest conditions. The 20 year old brawler was the inaugural ICW Clown King Champion and was the 2005 King Of The Clowns winner. Though he failed to win back his title from Brimstone, he's still among the most popular workers on the roster.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Armando Miguel</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;">Born in Mexico, but raised in Los Angeles, Armando "Mad Dog" Miguel is a 21 year old yardie known primarily in the southwest and the tri-state regions. Debuting in March 2003 for XDW, Miguel made a name for himself big destroying anyone and everyone in his path. However, he wouldn't win any titles in the company, and blamed the Dangerous Five. He left in August 2005 and traveled to New York, debuting for ICW. He formed an alliance with Big Bone, and they ran through the roster of ICW. In November 2006, he betrayed Big Bone, costing him the 2006 King Of The Clowns tournament. With Big Bone after him, Miguel looks to chew him up like a mad dog and end the year as the Clown King Champion.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Black Knight</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">"The Knightmare" Black Knight is a yardie known in New York as a crazy teen willing to jump off of anything. Born in Vermont, but raised in New York, Black Knight is a fan of the high flying style of wrestling, Entertaining kids on the playground in elementary school, Knight would soon move up a level when he started working with ICW. He was their inaugural ICW Jester Champion, and began moving up the ranks when he lost the title. He would become the natural enemy of Brimstone in 2005, and Knight would win the King Of The Clowns tournament in 2006, resulting in a title match. They fought in December 2006, and in the match Knight broke his arm following a botched move by Brimstone. On the mend, Knight looks to return better than ever soon.</span></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Dirty Darryl</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;">"The Dirtiest Player" Dirty Darryl takes his ringname very seriously. Entering wearing a trashbag like it's a jacket and using paper bags for boots, Dirty Darryl has been a dirtbag for the last 3 years. Debuting in ICW on his 12th birthday, Dirty Darryl has established himself as a good heel. He's yet to win a title in the company, but many think it won't be long before he wins the ICW Jester Championship.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Harlem Hater</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;">Harlem's own Harlem Hater is a yardie working for ICW. Growing up in Harlem, Hater would learn to be tough from a young age and is actually a good athlete. Hater is an amateur wrestler and is among the top ranked high school amateur wrestlers in the state, and looks to go to college on a wrestling scholarship. Working as a yardie as a semi-pastime, he also likes pro wrestling and could have a career in amateur wrestling or pro wrestling if he ever decides to.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Lucas Danger</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;">"Punk Rock" Lucas Danger is a very young yardie from the Bronx. Only 12, Danger has worked for ICW since March 2006 and has already shown himself to be a risk taking individual. Debuting in September 2005 and claiming to be 13 to work in random people's backyards, Joker The Pimp spotted him performing once and he soon found himself in ICW's crazy roster. Like other yardies, he covers his lack of technique with flashy moves. Lately, rumors have spread that he's begun to use drugs due to the bad influence of ICW's locker room, though it hasn't been proven.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Vendetta</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;">"The Punk Of New York" Vendetta is a unique worker. Coming out with a futuristic punk look made up of face paint, a jet-black mohawk, fake tattoos, and a long custom made leather jacket, the 14 year old looks like a future star. Upon debuting for ICW in 2003 he became the resident midcarder, and is a former ICW Jester Champion. However, he's a sloppy, generic hardcore worker, but ICW doesn't care about that or his age, so he can fight there all he wants.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Crystal Clear</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;">Valet and girlfriend of Big Bone, 20 year old Crystal Clear is the resident valet for ICW. Debuting with them early on, she was paired with Big Bone. Not doing much she usually stands around and sometimes gets involved by using seduction to help him win matches. They've been in a relationship since 2004, but it's rumored the relationship is abusive for her.</span></p></div><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Dontell Marcus</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:14px;">Janitor of the Shockjock Radio station, Marcus is an acquaintance of Hustler D and Joker The Pimp. Not really a wrestling fan, he likes the blood, booze, and boobs of ICW, so he enjoys working there and is a decent referee for them.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Gregory D</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;">"New York's Darkness" Gregory D is ICW's resident goth. A yardie, he's been a jobber for ICW and has never won a match there. There are rumors he plans to leave soon, due to a bullying culture within the company.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Sky Taylor</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;">"Innocent" Sky Taylor isn't all that innocent. A stripper who makes amateur porn, Taylor has done some things at 20 that others haven't done by 30. In truth, she's a nice person, but can be very naive, which has led to ICW taking advantage of her. She isn't managing any one person, and is used mainly as eye candy. There are rumors she's depressed and could be on drugs.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Springboard Sam</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;">Debuting in August 2005, Springboard Sam would use some connections to get into ICW. Despite his name, he's not a spot monkey, and is a decent enough worker for ICW. However, he's a complete jobber, and his only win is against Gregory D. It's rumored he's being bullied, and is extremely unhappy.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>
