<strong>Faith McGee, Laura Flame, Teresa Perez and Claire Winters vs Asami Okubo, Fuyuko Uoya, Nami Genda and Rika Tsujimura</strong></p><p>

A basic multi person tag match to open the show and warm up the live audience, this one was Fuyuko Uoya's in-ring debut and much like one would expect from a young lioness, she gave it all her heart, fought really hard despite her stamina failing her and took the pin after a Flame Fire Kick.</p><p>

Ochiyo Iijima © vs "Dangerous" Deborah Young</strong></p><p>

Iijima's first title defense came against the inexperienced but strong and powerful Deborah Young. The massive gaijin controlled most of the match as she bullied the title holder around and repeatedly slammed her to the mat, but this early advantage also made her overconfident, allowing Iijima to bounce back and use her legitimate judo background to turn Young's force against her. Once the big monster had been brought down, Iijima was able to connect with a Knock Out Kick to the head and end the match.</p><p>

<strong>Winners: Ochiyo Iijima (Defenses: 1)</strong></p><p><strong>

Finish: Knock Out Kick</strong></p><p><strong>

Hunter-Killers & BATTLE BEASTS vs Torment and Sorrow & Team Endorphine</strong></p><p>

Four tag teams in an eight woman tag, this was built around the chase for the WINNOW Duet titles and especially Torment and Sorrow who show after show seem to be the top contenders for them. The action was evenly spread out in this competitive bout, with every woman getting her fair shair of offense in but it was Emiko Miyoshi who surprised everyone by picking up the win with a surprise cradle pin over BATTLE Takenouchi.</p><p>

<strong>Winners: Torment and Sorrow & Team Endorphine</strong></p><p><strong>

Joanne Rodriguez & Thea Davis vs Chitose Ariwara & Ginko Kuroda</strong></p><p>

This match had a bunch of stories to tell and every competitor in it had her own goals and motivations coming into it. J-Ro and Ariwara met again after the former beat the latter for the WINNOW Grand Champion title, while Kuroda, herself a former WINNOW Rising Champion, sought to break into the main event scene. Last but not least, Thea Davis, who's been rock solid and constantly improving with each match, showed she belongs with the roster's top names after going toe to toe with them for ten or so minutes. At the end of the match though, it was Kuroda who made the biggest impact by pinning the holder of the promotion's top prize, thus earning herself the right to challenge for the title.</p><p>

<strong>Winners: Chitose Ariwara & Ginko Kuroda</strong></p><p><strong>

Finish: Dragon Suplex</strong></p><p><strong>

Romi Yamato © vs Eri Sato</strong></p><p>

Though young, Yamato has proven herself in both WINNOW and 5SSW and in this match, she once again showed what she's all about. She and Eri Sato pulled out all the stops to deliver the most fast paced, hard hitting, show stealing spectacle they could, the outcome sending fans into frenzied screams thanks to not just their skills but also the way they seemed to mesh with each other. It took almost fifteen minutes, two Buzzsaw Kicks, a Sato Tornado and a suplerplex version of the Yamatotal to end this match, but by the time it was over, the sold out Hall of Nagahama was on its feet for a standing ovation to both women for their effort and warrior spirit on display.</p><p>

<strong>Winner: Romi Yamato (Defenses: 1)</strong></p><p><strong>

Finish: Yamatotal [Cross-arm German Suplex with a bridge]</strong></p><p>

<img alt="rP9LuoR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rP9LuoR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

Out of breath but still the champion, Romi Yamato delivered the go-home speech to send fans off on a happy note, praising Sato for her toughness and warning Joanne Rodriguez that sooner or later, she's coming for her title as well.</p><p>

Joanne Rodriguez versus Francicsa Ramos

This was a simple contest. Rodriguez is the World Champion for the entire WWA and she came out with the belt. Ramos is the first graduate of GDR's training school and this was an opportunity for her to be in the ring with one of the best in the world and really have a chance to develop. Rodriguez handled her pretty easily, with Ramos only having a couple of bursts of offense that didn't do much damage. Rodriguez hit the J-Rocker and that was it.

In a poor match, Joanne Rodriguez defeated Francisca Ramos in 5:46 by pinfall with a J-Rocker.

Chase & Svelte versus Guest & Taylor © w/ Lucia Valiente

Chase and Svelte had no chemistry as partners -- which was disappointing. GDR was looking to build more teams and this is one they could cross of the list. Guest and Taylor on the other hand continue to gel as a team and both young women are really carving out a good fanbase in Mexico. Maria in particular looks like a star in the making and her Figure Four was perfectly locked in to get her and Taylor another defence of the championship.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Guest & Taylor defeated Mary Beth Chase and Selina Svelte in 9:08 when Maria Guest defeated Selina Svelte by submission with a Figure Four Leglock. Guest & Taylor make defence number 3 of their Campeanatos de Parejas GDR titles.

Maria Guest carried the match in terms of in-ring performance.

Kalliope Woodchuck versus Lauren Easter

Woodchuck and Easter are two bright prospects. Easter is considered one of the best women's wrestlers on the planet and Woodchuck is the only female graduate of the ZEN Dojo and has been really getting over with the young female audience. The rumor is that Lauren Easter didn't get a victory here because of a supposed attitude backstage. This could be designed to be a bit humbling that in almost twenty minutes the two women went to a double count out.

In a decent match, Kalliope Woodchuck drew with Lauren Easter in 19:42 following a double count out.

Jaguar Queen, Poison Ivy and Juana Huracán versus Catalina Vazquez and Tex-Mex©

The continued struggles of the trios division. Rumor from the front office is that the trios division could be put on ice soon. Maybe this match could breathe new life into the stale division -- but it was a back and forth match and Poison Ivy continued her rebounding from her failed tag team with Purple Viper by locking in the Venus Fly Trap.

In a decent match, Jaguar Queen, Poison Ivy and Juana Huracán defeated Catalina Vazquez and Tex-Mex in 15:22 when Poison Ivy defeated Catalina Vazquez by submission with a Venus Fly-Trap. Jaguar Queen, Poison Ivy and Juana Huracán win the Campeanatos de Tríos GDR titles.

Pink and Águila came out in advance of their main event tag team match. The Queens of the Damned are great opponents, but Pink returned to GDR to prove that she’s the best luchadora alive. She went and spent almost a year in Japan to get even better and now she has returned… Returned to take the top title in all of lucha libre for luchadoras -- the GDR Championship! With Aguila by her side, there is no stopping her.

Mystery Pink and Águila Azul Celeste versus The Queens of the Damned

Pink's first match back. A big time match and it delivered. Queen Amazon continues to show that she is in a league to herself in lucha libre -- though both Pink and Celeste delivered on their end too. It was a match that really delivered. The crowd was really into it and when Mystery Pink leapt off the top rope and crashed into La Hija Del Diablo and got the pin -- the building came unglued.

In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Mystery Pink and Águila Azul Celeste defeated The Queens of the Damned in 28:34 when Mystery Pink defeated La Hija Del Diablo by pinfall with a Flying Body Press.

In terms of in-ring work, Queen Amazon was head and shoulders above everyone else. La Hija Del Diablo was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance.

WINNOW Strive to Survive 2017

Week 2, March 2017

Venue: Hall of Nagahama [Kinki, Japan]

In Attendance: 293

Commentators: Hiranuma Makoto, Yuko Okui

a9HagOj.jpgtQ8Sd3n.jpg

Hiranuma Makoto: Welcome everyone, welcome to WINNOW Strive to Survive 2017! My name is Hiranuma Makoto and with me as always, Yuko Okui.

Yuko Okui: Great to be here, I am excited for a night of action and our main event, Joanne Rodriguez defending the WINNOW Grand Champion title against "The Dragon's Daughter" and former WINNOW Rising Champion, Ginko Kuroda!

Hiranuma Makoto: Will Kuroda rise to the top as champion or can Rodriguez retain?

Yuko Okui: Rodriguez is also the WWA World champion but Kuroda did manage to pin her last month so I feel this could end up going either way.

Hiranuma Makoto: But that is not all, we also have Hunter-Killers finally Facing Torment and Sorrow with the WINNOW Duet titles on the line, a match in the making since Yu Hashimoto and Maki Yoshifumi first joined the company several months ago!

Yuko Okui: Plus plenty more matches incluing this next one, featuring the debut of two new wrestlers!

Deborah Young, Faith McGee, Mystery Pink & Houston Handley vs Asami Okubo, Fuyuko Uoya, Hoshiko Tagawa & Akuro Shionoya

A standard eight woman match to warm up the crowd, this one was also a young lioness showcase as well as the debut of Hoshiko Tagawa and Akuro Shionoya. The only things worthy of note here were both negative, on one hand (no pun intended) Deborah Young seemed like she injured her hand when she threw a punch that landed at an awkward angle and on the other, Uoya's stamina (or lack thereof) showed even in such a crowded ten minute match, which is probably why she also was the one who ended up taking the pin.

Winners: Deborah Young, Faith McGee, Mystery Pink & Houston Handley

Finish: Houston's Problem [Pump Kick]

Chitose Ariwara, Rei Chikanatsu & Nami Genda vs Ochiyo Iijima, Eri Sato & Rika Tsujimura

More undercard matches ahead, this one was slightly better as it was not only less crowded, but also featured past and present title holders in Ariwara, Chikanatsu and Iijima. Less of an opportunity to set up title matches and more of a learning experience for the young lions, the match went on for about ten minutes and Sato wrapped it up with a pin over Nami Genda.

Winners: Ochiyo Iijima, Eri Sato & Rika Tsujimura

Finish: Buzzsaw Kick

BATTLE BEASTS vs Laura Flame & Claire Winters

Moving on to tag team contests, the regular team of BATTLE BEASTS faced a tough challenge in hard hitting gaijin Flame and Winters, the former getting some good cheers when she pulled off a couple of moves made famous in Japan by her mentor but the latter actually scoring the pin.

Winners: Laura Flame & Claire Winters

Finish: Flying Knee Strike

Team Endorphine vs Thea Davis & Ariel Breaks

Breaks' first ever match on the main card of a WINNOW show and she did not disappoint, her natural charisma and bubbly babyface character quickly winning fans over as much as her in-ring skill did. Having Davis on her team didn't hurt either, but up against the natural chemistry and teaming experience of their opponents, it was a fight they could not win and Breaks was hit with the Endorphine Rush before getting pinned.

Winners: Team Endorphine

Finish: Endorphine Rush [Low Dropkick & Double Foot Stomp combination]

WINNOW Duet titles match

Hunter-Killers vs Torment & Sorrow

Torment & Sorrow debuted in WINNOW's final show of 2016, meaning it took three months before they were actually in a match against Hunter-Killers for the tag team titles. The champions' natural chemistry was countered by the challengers' experience together and with all four women knowing each other very well thanks to their time with 5SSW, no one rushed into any careless attacks, fearful as they were about making the first mistake. Though uncharacteristic of WINNOW's usual fast paced, junior style wrestling, this match was nevertheless wonderful and if nothing else, an interesting change from the usual stuff as it went on for over sixteen minutes before Hashimoto finally got lucky and her End Game connected with Makiko's jaw to almost knock her out cold. Yoshifumi came in flying to hit Dragon Assassin and keep her at bay, with Hashimoto making the cover to finally unseat Hunter-Killers from the top of the WINNOW Tag Team division.

WINNOW Grand Champion title match

NVsHmIw.jpg25UZG0h.pngmSoHzQS.jpgg

Joanne "J-Ro" Rodriguez vs "The Dragon's Daughter" Ginko Kuroda

The main event was a return to WINNOW's usual quick pace, with Kuroda wrestling her usual breakneck technical style but not quite managing to keep the champion down for too long. Rodriguez was more than able to keep up and respond in a match that, although solid, probably had to deal with a crowd that was already burned up by the semi main event. Thankfully, this wasn't as long and Rodriguez succeeded in her first defense of the belt, smashing Kuroda's dreams of a title reign as much as she smashed her face to the canvas with her J-Rocker finishing maneuver.

Winner: Joanne "J-Ro" Rodriguez [Defenses:1]

Finish: J-Rocker [Face Crusher with a twist from a Front Facelock]

NVsHmIw.jpgrP9LuoR.jpg

Rodriguez was handed the title and a micophone but before she could begin her go-home promo, Romi Yamato came out to announce that she wanted to be the next one to challenge her for the WINNOW Grand Champion title. Rodriguez pointed out that Yamato was already the WINNOW Rising Champion but since she wasn't the type to back down from a challenge, she requested something in return: Rodriguez then put over her good friend Thea Davis who, as she said, has been putting on show stealing performances for all of 2016 but hasn't even been given a chance to wrestle for any title. If Yamato would be willing to put her title on the line against Davis, then Rodriguez would give her a shot at the WINNOW Grand Champion title in return.

a9HagOj.jpgtQ8Sd3n.jpg

Hiranuma Makoto: Hello fans of joshi puroresu, Hiranuma Makoto here alongside Yuko Okui bringing you all the action from tonight's show, WINNOW Slam Fest 2017!

Yuko Okui: What an exciting night it is shaping up to be, we have a double main event with Romi Yamato defending her WINNOW Rising Champion title against Thea Davis and before that, Hunter-Killers put their WWA Tag World Tag Team titles on the line against Houston Handley and Teresa Perez, the team known as Tex-Mex!

Hiranuma Makoto: I'm very excited to see that match, not just because of the women in it but also because I'm curious to see how Hunter-Killers may have been affected by the loss of their WINNOW Duet titles to Torment & Sorrow last month.

Yuko Okui: Indeed, are they extra motivated to retain these last titles or can Tex-Mex seize the moment to finish them off? But that's not all, because in the main event, there's more than the title on the line; WINNOW Grand Champion Joanne Rodriguez has promised that if Romi Yamato agreed to this match, she would be getting a shot at her championship next month. Here we are with this match headlining tonight's show and if things go well for Yamato, she might be gunning for a double championship!

Ginko Kuroda, Eri Sato & BATTLE BEASTS vs Team Endorphine, Nami Genda & Asami Okubo

The opening contest saw the hard hitting quartet of Kuroda, Sato and BATTLE BEASTS square off against their younger, faster and more high flying opponents. Veterans Kuroda and Endo led their respective teams throughout the match in an exciting contest that had fans properly warmed up by the finish, where BATTLE Takenouchi took down Asami Okubo for the pin.

Winners: Ginko Kuroda, Eri Sato & BATTLE BEASTS

Chitose Ariwara, Ochiyo Iijima & Rika Tsujimura vs Joanne Rodriguez, Mystery Pink & Faith McGee

Another undercard multi-woman tag match, this one fatured current and former champions in Ariwara, Iijima and Rodriguez, which meant that not only it was bound to be solid, it also featured the opportunity to set up some title matches in future. That was the case indeed as after a good back and forth contest for about ten minutes, Mystery Pink got the big pin over reigning WINNOW Pure Heart champion, Ochiyo Iijima.

Winners: Joanne Rodriguez, Mystery Pink & Faith McGee

Finish: Flying Body Press

Rei Chikanatsu and Torment & Sorrow vs Deborah Young, Laura Flame & Claire Winters

Newly crowned WINNOW Duet champions Yu Hashimoto and Maki Yoshifumi joined former WINNOW Pure Heart champion Rei Chikanatsu for the final undercard match against the hard hitting gaijin trio of Young, Flame and Winters. Flame's realistic style and training by John "Hell Monkey" Reaver of WLW fame once again got a great reaction from the fans;between that and Young's undeniable power, their opponents had to fight hard but they perservered and managed to get the pin over young lioness Claire Winters to pull off a win.

Winners: Rei Chikanatsu and Torment & Sorrow

Finish: Duxk-Under Head Kick

Hunter-Killers © vs Tex-Mex

Having lost the WINNOW Duet titles to Torment & Sorrow a month earlier, Dragon Assassin and Huntress Makiko came into this match hellbent on bouncing back, delivering a hail of stiff strikes onto their opponents. Handley took a serious beating, selling it like she was getting murdered and getting some good sympathy from the fans who appreciated her fighting spirit as she kicked out again and again, before a desperate snap enzuguiri created the necessary space so she could tag in Perez. The fiery Mexican high flyer really picked up the pace of the match and although she couldn't quite hold the opposition down for the count, a double tag to Assassin and Handley saw them both rush towards each other, only for Handley to duck under a roundhouse kick and subsequently roll her opponent into a schoogirl pin.

Romi Yamato © vs Thea Davis

The big main event, Davis' first ever title shot in WINNOW and a marquee match, a huge opportunity to make her mark and get noticed. Yamato brought the big fight and the two women set off to outperform not just each other but the match that preceded them as well. Fans were treated to WINNOW's trademark fast paced, spectacular style of a junior style match as Yamato and Davis went back and forth, with the champion eventually hitting her finisher to retain. Fans cheered for both competitors and the show ended with Yamato helping up her challenger, Davis having lost the match but proven herself as a future main eventer in the company.

Winner: Romi Yamato [Defences: 2]

Finish: Yamatotal [Cross-arm German Suplex with a bridge]

Catalina Vazquez versus Rina Kasahara

The very first match of what is the most-attended show of GDR was also the Mexico debut of Rina Kashara. The 17 year old rookie recently moved to Mexico on excursion and on the recommendation of the Crusher herself, was brought into GDR to get experience and seasoning. It wasn’t a great match, Kasahara is green and this was her first match in Mexico, but Vazquez tried to lead her through a simple match up that let Kasahara showcase her raw power and strength and intensity before Vazquez hit several quick moves, including a beautiful Flying Bulldog for the win.

In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Catalina Vazquez defeated Rina Kasahara in 9:13 by pinfall with a Flying Bulldog.

The internet fans and the purchasers of the DVD were treated to Mystery Pink promising that tonight was the night that the Queen falls. Tonight is the night that Mystery Pink wins the Mexican Championship and becomes the top luchadora in all of lucha libre.

Águila Azul Celeste, Estrella Blanca and Velvet Suarez versus Amber Allen, Kalliope Woodchuck and Ursula Saez versus Jaguar Queen, Poison Ivy and Juana Huracán©

This was a wild and crazy and action packed match up. Nine luchadoras that just went back and forth. Rumour is that GDR is trying to save the trios titles by elevating them on some women that are higher up the card and maybe building some more programs around the belts. This definitely featured many big name luchadoras. They went back and forth and everyone got an opportunity to shine and hit some of their big moves.

It was an elimination match -- with each team being open to being eliminated. Jaguar Queen made both pinfalls -- pinning Allen first and then pinning Suarez to get the win for her team. She’s really looking like she is starting to find another gear in her arsenal.

In a decent match, Jaguar Queen, Poison Ivy and Juana Huracán defeated Águila Azul Celeste, Estrella Blanca and Velvet Suarez and Amber Allen, Kalliope Woodchuck and Ursula Saez in 17:53; the order of elimination was Amber Allen, Kalliope Woodchuck and Ursula Saez first, and then Águila Azul Celeste, Estrella Blanca and Velvet Suarez. Jaguar Queen, Poison Ivy and Juana Huracán make defence number 1 of their Campeanatos de Tríos GDR titles.

Lauren Easter & “Marvelous” Maribel Mercado w/ Vinny Cruz versus Guest & Taylor © w/ Lucia Valiente

The tag titles were on the line here. It was a showcase of Lauren Easter in particular. Easter really stood head and shoulders above everyone else. Mercado continues to get the slow burn push, it’s clear Miss Mexico really sees some of herself in Mercado. It was a good match up. Guest and Taylor are a good babyface team and the crowd was behind them, but it didn’t stop Guest from submitting to the Figure Four that Lauren Easter put on her. This is Mercado’s second reign with the tag titles and Easter’s first championship in Mexico.

In a decent match, Lauren Easter and Maribel Mercado defeated Guest & Taylor in 14:03 when Lauren Easter defeated Maria Guest by submission with a Figure Four Leglock. Lauren Easter and Maribel Mercado win the Campeanatos de Parejas GDR titles.

Lauren Easter carried the match in terms of in-ring performance. Sarah Taylor was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance.

The internet fans and DVD buyers were treated to another scathing promo from Queen Amazon. She has been cutting the best promos -- and wrestling the best matches -- in GDR since it opened. Mystery Pink versus Queen Amazon ©

This was a barn-burner of a match. These women clearly were meant to wrestle one another. Their chemistry was off the charts. For almost thirty minutes, they held the fans in the palm of their hands. Amazon controlled most of the match. She was the powerhouse anchor for Pink’s high flying. Every time Pink started to mount some offense, Amazon cut her off with another big power move. Amazon went to hit her Amazonian Powerbomb -- but as she lifted Pink up, Pink floated over and got to the top rope and hit a big Flying Body Press. It got the three count and GDR has a brand new champion!

In a superb match, Mystery Pink defeated Queen Amazon in 27:44 by pinfall with a Flying Body Press. Mystery Pink wins the Campeónato del Mexico GDR title.

In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Romi Yamato and Torment & Sorrow defeated Joanne Rodriguez and Tex-Mex in 14:03 when Yu Hashimoto defeated Houston Handley by pinfall with The End Game.

ZSlyKQ6.jpg

rP9LuoR.jpgaqw0BcD.jpgeA6BAyW.jpg

During the main event, Houston Handley hit Maki Yoshifumi with a cringe-worthy Texan Destroyer (flipping piledriver) that was poorly executed, leading to Hashimoto's furious response for the finish. Fans were left wondering if the ending was rushed or whether Hashimoto had taken some liberties during the finale, but whatever the case, Yoshifumi ended the night on a stretcher with Yamato escorting her to the back. Clearly emotional at having to cut the go-home promo that kept her from being with her tag team partner, Yu Hashimoto stated that normally she and Yoshifumi would be gunning for a shot at the WWA World Tag Team titles, but after her partner's obvious injury, she was out for revenge: come WINNOW Full Force in two weeks, she demanded a one on one match against Houston Handley!

a9HagOj.jpgtQ8Sd3n.jpg

Hiranuma Makoto: We are coming to you tonight at full speed, full steam ahead, Hiranuma Makoto here alongside Yuko Okui and this is WINNOW Full Force!

Yuko Okui: There's no other place I'd rather be right now and what a show we have tonight!

Hiranuma Makoto: That's right, it's the WINNOW Pure Heart champion Ochiyo Iijima defending her title against the brand new holder of the Campeónato del Mexico GDR, Mystery Pink, in the main event! We also have an extremely personal match between one half of the WWA World Tag Team champions and one half of the WINNOW Duet champions as Yu Hashimoto takes on Houston Handley with an eye on revenge!

Yuko Okui: Handley broke the neck of Hashimoto's partner, Maki Yoshifumi and tonight, Hashimoto is out for Handley's blood! Speaking of which, every other tag team in WINNOW are positioning themselves for the inevitable vacation of the Duet titles.

Hiranuma Makoto: We still have to hear an official ruling on the fate of the champions, but with Yoshifumi out for more than a year, chances are Torment & Sorrow will be forced to vacate the titles so both BATTLE BEASTS and Team Endorphine are looking to claim them. They're in action tonight in a 3 vs 3 match but before that, we're about to start of our show with three spectacular high flyers from Mexico, courtesy of WINNOW's partnership with Guerreras Del Ring!

Estrella Blanca, Queen Amazon and Velvet Suarez vs Akuro Shionoya, Asami Okubo and Hoshiko Tagawa

A decent match to kick off the show, this one saw three GDR luchadoras face three of WINNOW's young lions in a showcase match. Estrella Blanca made her return to Japan putting her GDR title feud with the powerhouse Queen Amazon aside for this one. Suarez seemed a step behind from her teammates, but that might be attributed to debut nerves in a new promotion and despite that, she was off on the right foot when she also got the win for her team by pinning Shionoya.

Winners: Estrella Blanca, Queen Amazon and Velvet Suarez

Finish: Moonsault

Romi Yamato and BATTLE BEASTS vs Rika Tsujimura and Team Endorphine

With Hunter-Killers gone from WINNOW and Maki Yoshifumi seriously injured, BATTLE BEASTS and Team Endorphine were the only two regular tag teams left to eventually carry the Duet titles, so this match was held to set up and hype their inevitable clash. Jaguar Endo gave her team the experience advantage and the tall Tsujimura did a decent job of matching the freakish power of BEAST Kaori, but the addition of Rising Champion Romi Yamato was what tipped the scales in favor of that trio, leading to a spectacular Yamatotal on Tsujimura for the finish.

Winners: Romi Yamato and BATTLE BEASTS

Finish: Yamatotal [Cross-arm Bridging German Suplex]

Joanne Rodriguez, Faith McGee, Thea Davis, Claire Winters and Laura Flame vs Chitose Ariwara, Ginko Kuroda, Eri Sato, Rei Chikanatsu and Nami Genda

Now this was an odd setup. This was without a doubt a crowded undercard match, but featured most of WINNOW's top talent and not much story to be progressed or things to be set up, except maybe a match for the Grand Champion title, should someone manage to pin Joanne Rodriguez. Still, the five gaijin put on a great match against the five joshi fighters, good enough for the action to outshine any booking shortcomings and Winters got the fall over Genda to wrap it up.

Winners: Joanne Rodriguez, Faith McGee, Thea Davis, Claire Winters and Laura Flame

Finish: Flying Knee Strike

Yu Hashimoto vs Houston Handley

Not so much a grudge match but certainly an intense, personal contest in the semi main event after Houston Handley broke the neck of Hashimoto's tag team partner, Maki Yoshifumi. Hashimoto certainly looked more intense than usual and her strikes felt a tad stiffer, but that might have been partly due to Handley selling them like she was being murdered. Indeed, this played out more like a straightforward competitive match and not a punitive burial of Handley and fans ate it up, whether because WINNOW didn't slip into sports entertainment territory or because they legitimately hated seeing Handley fight back and control the match. This led to several teases of Handley winning, whether by hitting her Houston's Problem finisher (which Hashimoto barely kicked out of) or a spot where she went for another Texan Destroyer that Hashimoto was able to escape in the nick of time. By the time the End Game connected to drop Handley to the mat, fans erupted in cheers and counted along, a triumphant finish to Hashimoto's quest for vengeance.

Winner: Yu Hashimoto

Finish: The End Game [spinning Back Fist]

Ochiyo Iijima © vs Mystery Pink

Pink and Iikima had one hell of a task trying to out-do their peers that preceded them, so they pulled out all the stops and went for a fast paced, spectacular match in the main event. Iijima attempted to eliminate her challenger through a combination of kicks to Pink's legs and grappling that forced the Mexican luchadora to the mat, but the elusive Pink made the best of her speed and agility to stay mobile and keep the champion guessing. Iijima even busted out some high flying moves from back in her "Space Age" days for a near fall but in the end it was a smoothly executed Knock Out Kick that won her the match as it caught a flying Pink square in the jaw.

Winner: Ochiyo Iijima [Defenses:2]

Finish: Knock Out Kick

After the match was over, Iijima was handed the title and microphone, praising Mystery Pink for her talent and resilience before wrapping up the show to send the fans home happy.
