Speaking of CGC, the challenge is out, and has been accepted! Bobby Thomas, Owen Love and Julian Watson have declared war on everyone who worked for CGC or NOTBPW. In a series of 3 singles matches and a six-man tag, they'll go up against former CGC star Eddie Chandler, former NOTBPW star Ron Greenhorn, and general nice guy who doesn't approve of their attitude Cal Sanders.</p><p> </p><p>

Plus, the debut of Biff The Bruiser!</p><p> </p><p>

TNBT Resistance

Sunday Week 3 September 2002

Live from The Basement, Toronto Bar and Grill

k0ZWrLC.jpg

Devorah Triton comes out and fires T-Shirts into the crowd. D+

LJGpvpR.jpg vs jcD8TeW.jpg

In a bout that had great wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Eddie Chandler defeated Owen Love in 16:45 by submission with a Fabulous Stretch. C-

yrdlj9d.jpgdA289YV.jpgxKr7byl.jpg6AyCTAU.jpgcT9nMJ0.jpg

A freestyle segment called 'Angle with Brayfield, The Big Problem, L'il Lebowski, Lockhart, The Terror' featuring Boss Man Brayfield, The Big Problem, Little Bill Lebowski, Preston Lockhart and The Toronto Terror. D-

Okay, so I introduce our challenger, Lebowski, only for Lockhart to come down and say the board already HAVE a challenger, the Terror. I goad him into matching the pair up, the winner going up against TBP, and we're set.

xKr7byl.jpg vs 6AyCTAU.jpg

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Little Bill Lebowski defeated The Toronto Terror in 7:44 by pinfall with a Lebowski Spindog. E

Both these guys look AWFUL. This is what we're paying the big bucks for?!

fPZLuxL.jpg vs rZ9IodM.jpg

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Biff The Bruiser defeated Gregg Boone in 6:04 by pinfall with a Lariat Clothesline. E

Boone looks off his game and they don't click at all. Having said that, it's still as good as the preceding match for about half the cost in wages.

rqLO9Qk.jpg vs VMWi2b5.jpg

In a decent match, Bobby Thomas defeated Ron Greenhorn in 8:10 by pinfall with a fast roll up. E+

Greenhorn was NOT keen on losing here; I persuaded him to do the job without complaining by keeping him strong and having a flash pinfall finish.

qNPPySx.jpg vs ilPcxLe.jpg

In a decent match, Julian Watson defeated Fate in 10:15 by pinfall with a Tiger Claw DDT. D-

Fate was seriously not keen on losing here; I told him I didn't care. (He'd told me just before the show he was quitting. How is 'hand in your notice then complain about your booking EVER gonna work out for anyone?!)

VMWi2b5.jpgjcD8TeW.jpgilPcxLe.jpgqNPPySx.jpg

Julian Watson, Bobby Thomas, and Owen Love attack Fate in the ring, and leave him down and out. E-

Bye bye Fate.

LJGpvpR.jpg0wiT1jy.jpg

A freestyle segment called 'Chandler Appeals For Partner, Ryan Powell Answers' featuring Eddie Chandler and Ryan Powell. E+

LJGpvpR.jpgrqLO9Qk.jpg0wiT1jy.jpg vs VMWi2b5.jpgjcD8TeW.jpgilPcxLe.jpg

In a decent match, Bobby Thomas and Owen Love & Julian Watson defeated Eddie Chandler, Ron Greenhorn and Ryan Powell in 8:48 when Julian Watson defeated Ryan Powell by pinfall with a Tiger Claw DDT.

In terms of in-ring work, Eddie Chandler was head and shoulders above everyone else. D+

Thanks boss!

dA289YV.jpg vs xKr7byl.jpg

In a decent match, The Big Problem defeated Little Bill Lebowski in 7:47 by submission. The Big Problem makes defence number 6 of his TNBT Ontario title. D-

VMWi2b5.jpgjcD8TeW.jpgilPcxLe.jpgyrdlj9d.jpgdA289YV.jpg

A freestyle segment called 'Watson, Love, Thomas, Problem, Brayfield Confrontation' featuring Bobby Thomas, Owen Love, Julian Watson, The Big Problem and Boss Man Brayfield. E+

Face-off between the three men who'll be in a triple threat to compete for TBP's title next time around, him, and me.

D, increased pop in 1 location. Owen Love overused, oops.

I praise Biff, Julian and Eddie.

Rebecca Petty comes out and fires T-Shirts into the crowd. C-

zGoqneL.pngk0ZWrLC.jpg

Dev challenges Rebecca to a T-shirt shooting contest in 2 weeks' time. E

zGoqneL.png

Rebecca Petty had an interview hyping the upcoming singles match between her client Biff The Bruiser and Eddie Chandler. E

LJGpvpR.jpg vs aqwOLvh.png

In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Biff The Bruiser defeated Eddie Chandler in 8:25 by pinfall with a Lariat Clothesline. C-

WTF?!?!? Should I open all my shows with two T-shirt segments from here on?!

rqLO9Qk.jpg vs E7ycw1h.jpg

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Ron Greenhorn defeated Hard-1 in 7:43 by submission with a Sleeper Hold. E

rqLO9Qk.jpgLJGpvpR.jpg vs E7ycw1h.jpgaqwOLvh.png

In a decent match, Ron Greenhorn and Eddie Chandler defeated Hard-1 and Biff The Bruiser in 7:59 when Eddie Chandler defeated Biff The Bruiser by submission with a Fabulous Stretch.

In terms of in-ring work, Eddie Chandler was head and shoulders above everyone else. Hard-1 was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance. D

Biff gets penalised for motivation; maybe not a fan of tags?

ilPcxLe.jpg vs jcD8TeW.jpg vs VMWi2b5.jpg

In a decent match, Owen Love defeated Julian Watson and Bobby Thomas in 18:24 when Owen Love defeated Bobby Thomas by pinfall with a roll up.

Julian Watson was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance. E+

Dammit, I knew I should've put this on first. Crowd really weren't in the mood for a technical masterclass.

ilPcxLe.jpgjcD8TeW.jpgVMWi2b5.jpg

A freestyle segment called 'Thomas, Love, Watson Handshake' featuring Owen Love, Julian Watson and Bobby Thomas.

yrdlj9d.jpgdA289YV.jpg

Boss Man Brayfield had an interview hyping the upcoming singles match between his client The Big Problem and Owen Love. D

dA289YV.jpg vs jcD8TeW.jpg

In a decent match, The Big Problem defeated Owen Love in 7:46 by submission. The Big Problem makes defence number 7 of his TNBT Ontario title. D-

I compliment Biff, Eddie, Rebecca.

WE RISE TO SMALL SIZED!!!

We increase to Amateur Production Values and Generic music.

And with that rise, I'm going to officially put this on hiatus for a month. I have a C-Verse themed NaNoWriMo to do starting tomorrow and I want to try and keep MLWA going during the month but doing three things will be too much of a strain. I'm also not loving the way I'm writing this - I think I need to either go full bells and whistles with longer write-ups, or more of a backstage focus as initially envisaged and keep them shows quicker to produce. (Probably less pictures if I go that route) - at the moment I seem trapped in the middle.
