What happened? any way to fix this? Unfortunately I just deleted my backup. guess this is part of the game as I just read the emails and I'm in some sort of shock phase. Is this permanent?

Ahhh, yes I did. Wow, crazy but fun, Just hope I don't go bankrupt.

AS ShaunGBD asked above, the most likely way to lose that much popularity is to significantly change your product and ignore the warning you get about driving away a bunch of fans by doing so. The only other way is to be involved in about a 10 way National Battle and finish last while being at war with most of them.... that's pretty unlikely though.

 

You can use the in game editor to give yourself your popularity back, though if you fell from National you will cap out at Cult sized for a whlie due to the fall from National initiating a shock phase. But you can get that back over time too, which I think is six months (as long as you have the popularity to do so).

Another quick question if I may. I'm using a WWE mod and new workers are coming with no pics. Is this adjustable?

If they're on your roster, you can add pictures in their Character tab.

 

Otherwise, you have to go through the in-game editor.
