Professional Fighters League Regular Season 2022 Preview

 

The 2022 PFL season will start this Friday with the Light Heavyweight battle between Jon Jones and Vadim Nemkov and blurcat.com brought a full preview of what this year's competition will be.

 

Divisions

 

This season will have 4 new divisions: Cruiserweight, Super Middleweight, Super Welterweight and Super Lightweight.

 

The other divisions are: Light Heavyweight, Bantamweight and Flyweight (Men´s); Featherweight, Bantamweight and Strawweight (Women´s)

 

Women´s: Featherweight, Bantamweight and Strawweight.

HESDY GERGES PULLED OUT FROM PFL HEAVYWEIGHT GP

 

Hesdy Gerges (5-1, 0-0 in PFL) will not be competing on the PFL Heavyweight GP 2022: Qualifying card in Connecticut, on Mar. 12.

 

Gerges was pulled from the card due to a eye injury. Blurcat.com was first to report Gerges´s exit.

 

To replace Gerges, Former ONE Championship Heavyweight Champion, Arjan Bhullar (15-1) was scheduled to face Todd Duffee.

 

The PFL takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena, Cain Velasquez vs. Kelvin Tiller was a main event of the night.

JOSH EMMETT OUT, ANDRE HARRISON WILL PATRICIO FREIRE IN FEATHERWEIGHT GP

 

A weeks before PFL Featherweight GP 2022: Qualifying took place, there was a big drop in his card, Jose Emmett (15-6, 0-3 in PFL) announced on his social networks that he was out of the fight against Patricio Freire (32-6, 0-2 in PFL).

 

Emmett, said he had a medium hand injury and would be out for one month.

 

Looking for a quick replacement due to the short time for the event, Andre Harrison (23-4-1, 7-4-1 in PFL) accepted the call and entered the competition for GP Title. In his last fight Andre Harrison was defeated by Goiti Yamauchi by Unanimous Decision.
