kenseiabbot
I thought I would jump right into 20, but with the skins available for 16 as well as the real life rosters, I could not resist.
Peria
I'm going to convert my CV97 data, make it into a mini-mod of sorts, and fast forward 4 years, and continue where I left off. Problem is, I'm in 2012. I'm far behind. So... might just restart in CV97 when it gets ported off properly.
FuzzyLogic
Think I probably will stil with 2016 for a couple of months at least. I've got an SWF game I am enjoying with some long-term plans for it and just don't feel ready to jump to 2020 just yet.
Badstreet
I'll be sticking with 16 for a while until I can spare the cash to pick 20 up, I have enough saves going to keep me busy in the meantime, and I'll probably use the trial of 2020 to update my custom 2001 version of Idol's idomination database so it's ready for me to play when I do pick up the full version of 20. TheGunman
At the moment 2016 feels like the better game for me personally, but I'll keep playing the demo for a few more days before I fully make up my mind. Just a combination of some annoyances are putting me off right now: the scrolling issues (hopefully will be fixed)the default skin not making anything look very clear (fixed with custom skins)moving segments on the booking screen requiring me to follow the segment as I move it up to keep clicking rather than select a segment and click a single stationary buttonproducts being so rigidly defined and the effects they havethe perception system doesn't feel as useful to me as the old push system There's probably a few other issues I'm not thinking of too. The last couple I could probably adapt to, but the others just provide a cumbersome experience for me.
DirtyPandas
I'll for sure be sticking with '16 at least until the full retail version comes out. Two months just isn't long enough for me to get a feel for things, especially since my preferred fed is MAW, so I'd only get to book two events per save. I did recently start up a local to global challenge in a real world mod on '16, but with all the new features, I'm still incredibly tempted to buckle down and successfully complete a Local to Global Road to Glory combination save, either real world or C-Verse. Probably C-Verse first since everything is tailor made to that database from the jump. It also depends on which issues are ironed out by release day. hurricanendp
I've had the demo since release, think ill wait until some rw mods come out as I can't decide if its the cv or the game itself that I'm not really enjoying. It seems a lot harder with the scrolling issues, and the screens all look way too busy, it reminds me a bit like football manager with the mass of new in depth features, the majority of which I will be honest and say I was looking forward to, but I just feel there is something missing thats making me want to leave my long term 2016 save, unlike when 2016 came out
Lionhart
Since we have two more weeks to wait, maybe I'll start a new game in TEW2016 before buying TEW2020 once it's released. Just in order to get back into the swing of things. But I'll surely wait for the release of the Thunderverse mod 2020 before playing TEW2020 full times. crownsy
I'm also on the fence. I like the story and database in the new one, but i'm not sure I love the new version, particularity how the game basically forces you to book one way or get hammered, unless you just turn of penalties. I'm waiting to see what the final patches bring prior to retail, but right now I might be holding off and playing some more 2016.

But what do you mean by booking in one way. I’ve had a little fiddle with the demo but seen so many negatives (and I’m not a huge fan of the UI) that I planned on waiting for the full release. shawn_waters
I started a SWF game about two weeks ago to get hyped for the new game. This is probably the tenth or so SWF game I’ve played in 2016. And it’s a very casual play through that has become the most successful SWF save I’ve had. I’ve never managed to get all of my main event over so much and I’ve only lost one national battle to far and I’m in June. Brandon James, the Crippler and Valiant have become ratings machines for me. So I think I’ll definitely be sticking with 2016 for a while.

After playing the ThunderVerse for so long, it's hard to relearn the Cornellverse all over again. Navigating around TEW2020 is hard enough, let alone doing so while not knowing who's who lol.</p>
Blackman
I am going to wait a couple of weeks until TEW20 gets fixed before I play on, but I'm not going back to TEW16. If I still had an ongoing game, then yes, but I don't. But I'm just stopping to explore the demo. It's demoralising the more I play and it's probably not healthy to continue. Gungner
I'll definitely buy TEW 20 on release day, but I'll probably be playing some of my saves on TEW 16 until some good real-world mods come out (meaning the ones I like to play )
MrTroy03
<p>I am definitely going to buy TEW 20 but I am going to wait for real world mods to come out and get updated and converted with some polish. Whenever a new version comes out all the way back to 07 there is always a very rough database conversion that really isn't cleaned up and optimized.</p><p> </p><p> Plus I want to wait until the bulk of the major issues are patches out as well. I am so busy with work right now anyway there is no harm in me waiting a bit for the patch train to slow down as well as some real world data to get smoothed out as well.</p>
fusionfreak
I had almost decided not to purchase TEW 2020 because of the product section but I changed my mind and got it. I'm still undecided if I'm going to stay with TEW 2016 or switch to TEW 2020. I like everything about TEW 2020 except for the product section. It makes it seem very limited. As for TEW 2016 I like everything about it except for some of the new concepts in TEW 2020. Kind of a weird place to be in, lol.

Really awesome additions (or re-additions of things that were subtracted in 2016 from 2013), but the product section is a big stumbling block for me. Especially since I tinker with the database editor as I like to mod a bit, and that's honestly what keeps me engaged with the game when I need a break from playing the in-game as owner or booker. When I'm still in a wrestling sim mood, but not wanting to keep up the diary or start a new one, I just tinker with a copied database and create a little alternate offshoot and maybe play that for a bit (if only to test things out). Sometimes I start creating my own mods from a blank database (a VERY slow and arduous process, so big applause for anyone who has actually released a complete mod and really big applause to Adam for releasing the full game <em>and</em> updates to the Cornellverse).</p><p> </p><p> Maybe I'm part of a very, very small niche...but doing that increased my enjoyment and appreciation of the game.</p><p> </p><p> I'll still likely get 2020 down the line, but I'm in more of a "wait-for-it" stance than I was when it was first announced.</p>
Donners
I've bought '20, but there's no point starting a game while fundamental things are still being patched. Plus I'm quite attached to my '16 game. I'll give it another few weeks.
bspooky
I'd love to buy TEW 2016 or 2020 if one of them came to steam. For now I stick with 2013...it's a fine game and I play mainly older RW or Cverse mods <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
Gungner
I'm not even sure I'm gonna buy TEW2020... Looking around these forums, the game is riddled with mistakes. If I am going to buy it, it probably won't be until the start of next year when all the important patches has been released.
rufas2000
I bought 2020 but it was a slog. When I heard of suspected random hard overness caps (like Remo who starts at 84 being capped at 77 in some saves) that was when I figured I'll stick with 2016 for awhile. 2020 has some promising features but nothing so great that makes it worth the slog. Once it gets patched up a bit I'll give it another go but for now I'll stick to the game I'm having fun with. Those who love 2020 and its increased challenge that's great. Just not what I'm looking for.
Steamboat80
<p>I'm sticking with 2016 for a while. No plans to buy 2020 at the moment. </p><p> There are a lot of issues that need to be addressed, and the tone that the 2020 forum sometimes takes doesn't make me want to spend a lot of time there seeing how much, or how little, the game has improved.</p>
Donners
Those who love 2020 and its increased challenge that's great. Just not what I'm looking for. I haven't noticed any increased challenge. I started a company using the "hard" option, and after a year I'm making hundreds of thousands of dollars a month and constantly growing in pop without any effort. I keep going back to my 2016 save. I can't get into a 2020 save while the supposedly improved AI booking does stuff like this:
