What kind of storylines do you always go back to?

Recommended Posts

Tournaments. Lots and lots of tournaments.

And then within the tournaments I have babyfaces actually willing to put their championships on the line in tournament matches. Since I rarely, if ever, book the winner of the finals, it can lead to some really great stories.

I once had Katsuyori Shibata run through the New Japan Cup, while defending his NEVER Openweight Championship. He lost the title (and the trophy) in the finals against Prince Devitt, after being attacked by Bad Luck Fale.

Tournaments in general tend to be perfect for creating natural stories

The ol' "Two struggling midcarders form a tag team, win the tag belts, and during the title celebration one turns heel on the other guy and starts a months long feud". Never gets old <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
