Sco xY2Jx
<p>Nigel Svensson and Anders Thunder. They're not cringey but not successful, very indie and not much to shout about. A bit bland. </p><p> </p><p> I always hire them and team them up as The Bitterswedes, to make them even sillier. Love it.</p>
bradrach
Lazy Joe may not have world champion written all over him, but it never stops me from trying.
Markw
Mikey James (Lau) and Sammy The Shark (Smoke) were two of my old favourites. Now that he can be convinced to move easily, I can't forsee a game where I don't sign Jesse Tasman going forward.
DAVEFAN95
Doug Peak - Never as good as Eddie but love him just as much. An actually decent brawler just doesn't have ent skills that Eddie has. Ben Williams - Dude can't do anything but bump but he can be any character you want him to be which is more than enough for me to love him. Bobby Thomas - Guy is fairly talented but never had the SQ or ent skils of Nate Johnson, but I still love him Art Reed - Really talented in ring worker with SQ who never got the break his talent deserved
neslo024
Acid II- guy always develops into at least a midcard mainstay for me. If him and Stuntman have chemistry they make a solid tag team for any company. The American Cobras- always sign these guys. They are well balanced and usually end up with good rolls. Amazing Fire Fly- dude is a future star and is great for the locker room. Cobra- always sign him and usually ends up as a multiple time tag champ. California Love Machine- guy has all the tools but never seems to rise to stardom. The Night Terrors- great tag team with experience. Babau even has singles ability depending on his roll. Self
K-Squared made his way into 90% of my games. Rarely pushed, but he always gets a job. Thrilled he's become more of a something in 2020.

Rayelek
<p><strong>Taylor Kidd is my boy.</strong> I forget which TEW game ACPW game debuted in, but he was in the original roster. My first game was USPW, and I signed him to be basically Brian Kendrick when he first debuted in WWE (delivered a singing telegram to the Undertaker, got talked into streaking by Sean O'Haire, silly stuff like that), and eventually Sam Strong's assistant. Well he had great tag chemistry with Captain USA, so he got an alt with Cap's mask and The American Kidd was born, USPW's hottest new underdog. Then a sweet re-render for him came out, and I've never stopped being a fan. I always give him a shot, and if I'm a big company, he's pretty much guaranteed a developmental deal.</p><p> </p><p> Some other boys are Ernest Youngman, Logan Wolfsbaine, Ash Campbell...Probably others, but I'm not in front of the game.</p>
Joshdb
He hasn’t been active in awhile but my head immediately went to Whistler. Even in TEW 2016 I’d drag him back into the ring for no good reason. I’m not a sucker for patriotic characters in the CVerse but for whatever reason he does it for me. Treat him like Jim Duggan and push him to the moon. Commissioner Whistler still lives. Grand Avatar
<p>My custom promotion in '16 was basically built around the eternal rivalry between KC Glenn and Bret Heartbreak for about 15 (in-game) years. Spirophore
I feel like some people are missing the point of what a “boy” is. It’s supposed to be a character you have an attachment to despite them not being very well-regarded or successful. Lucy Stone-McFly, for example, is a prodigy from day one and can be rocketed to superstardom in no time flat. It’s more about the workers that might get overlooked, but you just keep coming back to them. Like for me, Marcel LeFleur is a boy. Tigre Salvaje Jr maybe, or hell, even Thrill Seeker fits the bill considering how his career turned out. Workers like Greg Gauge or the American Cobras that always end up in high demand in every game are just too good to be boys.
Dead_Jester
Jack Griffith for me, in pretty much any Cverse game I've played I usually hire him assuming i'm not using him as my avatar (He is my go to when I open my own company.) Kind of like a once great prospect who didn't hit the mark people thought he would is making one last ditch effort to leave a positive legacy in the business. Always found his backstory one of those interesting "what if" deals where you wonder where he could have ended up if his demons didn't halt his progress. Cyhort
It used to be Acid II for me until this game where he kinda started getting over. Before that it was Donnie J, who would always be a thing in CZCW but until I scooped him up never got anywhere on the big stage. I guess right now it would probably be Ade Nelson. I've hired him since TEW 2013 (I think) and no matter what I've done with him he's never been more than a midcarder at best. I've scooped him up again, but at 30 I don't know how much of an upside he could have anymore. I'm still gonna try to push him though. And this time I've got the other 3 Paratroopers together for the first time, so maybe I can do something with all of them! ......
Untouchable
I am a sucker for Mad Dog Mortimer. I used to love giving him the Leisure Suit Morty gimmick whenever I was running a shindie.
Grand Avatar
Lucy will always be my baby girl prodigy, even if she doesn't fit the criteria of a "boy" But to answer the question more precisely, when I'm working with a low level promotion I almost always sign up Remmy Skye since he's talented, charismatic, and unemployed. I think he was actually my first World Champion during my 2016 custom regional promotion start. Marcel Lefleur and Phobia both became fantastic workers, and I turned them into a tag team and mainstay in the Upper Midcard. Mainstream Hernandez became a failed experiment as a figurehead until I signed Helikaon when his contract "ran out" at BHOTWG, he was a good Main Eventer, but I took to him a little too hard. Marc Dubois played a big role in giving us a credible Heel in the beginning, but was too much in a pain backstage to fight for when the bigger companies came knocking. Blake Trask
I can't believe I forgot my indie Japan boys! Rei Chikanatsu, Kuniko Matsura and to a slightly lesser extent, Sakura Sada.
