Auto-booker issues

Recommended Posts

<p>Not a bug per sé, but I'm finding the auto-booker sometimes handicaps the player, forcing you to manually revise everything booked, to the point where you might as well do it yourself.</p><p> </p><p>

In a product where you need to book a special match (fi: CWW / Steal the show), the booker doesn't take match <strong>lenght </strong>into account and will book a 26 minute tag team match that "steals the show", which will potentially doom you if naively rely on the auto-booker. For one, it won't "steal the show", I can tell you that much. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Another thing is the <strong>placement</strong>: They booked a technical masterclass on the main event, which is a definite no-no.</p><p> </p><p>

I get it might be hard to impose these conditions, but like this the auto-booker is useless in several promotions. It would be better that it just books "regular" matches instead.</p>

<p>The angle and match lengths are all wrong for the auto booker, it doesn’t remotely consider your product. To make a working card for someone like RAW (for example), you need to go in and alter the segment length for every single match and angle booked.</p><p> </p><p>

This then leaves you short a good hour of segments, but what I’ve also found is the the auto booker also books a TONNE of pre-match angles and matches for some reason, so if you make them all main show and adjust their lengths too you get a workable card.</p><p> </p><p>

It’s a lot of work though. If the auto booker automatically got the segment lengths right for your product it would be 90% of the problem fixed.</p>

Aside from match aims, the autobooker loves to go 25+ minutes with people who are unimportant against Major stars when those should 99% of the time be squash matches.

Angles are easier to fix, but I’ve had many 15 minute angles where even my top guys are penalized because they can’t act/talk that long and it’ll still be booked regardless

<p>Just chiming in to say that the autobooker is terrible. Playing SWF, nobody marked as unavailable, the autobooker booked me a 12 segment B-show, with 35% matches (instead of the 65% expected) including a 10 minute MAIN EVENT angle featuring Angry Gilmore, and with the only 3 matches on the card all being tag team matches. </p><p> </p><p>

Not to be too harsh, but it's absolutely 100% unusable at this point.</p><p> </p><p>

It would be nice if it was functional. </p><p> </p><p>

It would be AMAZING if it would actually consider ongoing storylines and work to try to advance them.</p>

The auto-booker is broken. It basically just books random angles and matches not taking into consideration any of the product penalties.

It's a disaster. Just tested SWF and I got a 52 rating. A 52! :p

Just unusable in its current state. It didn't progress any storylines.

15-minute talking segments with Des Davids. And that wasn't even the longest. What solo segment goes over 15 minutes? Was he doing a "this is your life" to himself? Just no.

I know this is essentially a booking sim and it's not "crucial", but the autobooker is essentially what decides me playing any "large" promotion, as I really don't want to book the B-shows, but this was my A-show. If it books a B-show like this I'll get 30 this way.

I mean it kind of is essential. Can you imagine playing WWE with a 90 person roster and all those shows and not having an autobooker that can at least do a decent job? It would take forever just to get thru one month.
