River City Pro Wrestling, There's Someone New In The Cornellverse

Recommended Posts

 • 3 weeks later...
Like most things, River City Pro Wrestling started with a tiny ripple. An email, to be exact. Thanks alot, Chuck. That made my day. Charles Platt had emailed alot of his favorite wrestlers, but they had never emailed back. That was until Leo Davis wrote that terse, but important piece of email. The ensuing friendship between the drifting jobber and the wrestling fan lead to meeting, after Leo had finished counting the Kemper Arena lights in a dark match with Joey Minnesota for SWF. Chuck and Leo drank too many Guinnesses and talked too loud about wrestling until last call arrived and they went thier seperate ways. Two days later, the phone call came. "Hey Chuck, remember that idea you had?" "Sure..." Chuck lied. "It's a go. I'll send you the phone numbers and you can find a suitable spot for the show. Well, gotta run up to Calgary. I'm going to put over Edd Stone again before he ends up in rehab again." -click- With a few phone calls and the promise of free beer and pizza, the roster for RC Pro's first show came together. Main Eventers John Greed Des Davids Erik Strong Jorge Washington Leroy Leo Davis Upper Midcard Brendan Idol DeCypher Flemmy Lemming Huey Cannonball Midcard Frankie Dee Jack Giedroyc Lower Midcard Dusty Bin The posters started sprouting up around the North side of town: RC Pro Presents: I Am Legend

I AM Legend Attendence: 47 people Dark Matches: Leo Davis pins Dusty Bin: F Hey, the owner has to get his wins, doesn't he? A lackluster match, but things can only go up from here. Jack Giedroyc Promo: F Apperantly no one wanted to hear about Jack's opinions on Kansas City. Huey Cannonball pins Jack: E The early high point of the show, as Huey and Jack have excellent chemistry. Maybe there's hope for this promotion after all. The Card Begins... Leroy pins Des Davids: D The first official match of the show sees Leroy become the Midwest Assassin by pinning early tournament favorite Des Davids to advance a round in the ACE title tournament. Woo-Hoo! A "D"! Flemmy Lemming makes Dusty Bin tap out: E In a non-tournament match, Flemmy shows the crowd why he should have been in the ACE tournament. Poor, poor Dusty. DeCypher Promo: F Probably a great promo, but sadly it was en Espaniol. Brendan Idol pins DeCypher: E DeCypher's night just keeps getting better. Maybe he can draw Dusty Bin for his next opponent. Brendan makes an expected move up to the next bracket in the ACE tournament. John Greed Is Richer Than You...: F And more boring, too. John Greed pinned Jorge Washington: C- Match of the night! Greed and Washington were born to wrestle each other and steal the show from the hot opener. Greed advances to the next round in the ACE tournament. Erik Strong Promo: F The Strong may survive, but they do so in monotone. Erik Strong pins Frankie Dee: F A DUD to end the show. Strong advances in the ACE tournament. Announced matches for 'Fight For Your Life': LeRoy vs. Brendan Idol! John Greed vs. Erik Strong! The Winners of each match will meet in the Main Event to crown the first ACE Champion! DeCypher vs. Dusty Bin! Jack Giedroyc vs. Huey Cannonball in a special return match!
