You'll definitely be able to control each of your boxer's training regimen and their development, along with managing your boxing organization.

Oh wow this might be a def buy from me. Sounds like a real game changer. Really hoping it emulates WMMA in some sort of way. We need to see other companies results and and fight cards

Hmm, lots of bugs/crashes/unplayable states, it appears, with 2013 (1.4). A shame.

Not afraid of that myself, as my releases have always been pretty solid and stable for the most part with Grey Dog.

http://www.titleboutboxing.com/cgi-bin/page?home

There was a beta last year to Title Bout Boxing .. Even some youtube clips of the designer child playing it butthen he went AWOL and nobody has heard a thing from 1 year ago..

Its a huge longshot but If somehow you can get in contact with him and be able to finish his product it uses the same engine as Title bout etc...

Anyway you can also go on steam there is a game world boxing championship manager WCBM its 5 dollar game it is quite good

The designer may be interested to cooperate he has always started a desire to start a second part of him game.

It has a good base.

World Boxing Manager is very good base-wise (if very dated looking), yes. I did try to contact the '2013' Title Bout makers with no success so far.

I think I have a solid base started up with my own product, and it should be nicer and slicker to use and be just as engaging, I think. Some screens and details should be up on Grey Dog soon.

Very cool can't wait to see the screenshots. I'm curious how title unifications will work with multiple promotions. It'll be interesting with all the countries who participate in the sport

Been hyping myself up about a good boxing sim from greydog. I'm curious how the sim will emulate boxers with a lot of fights on their record. Theres so many boxers who have a ton of fights in their career.. it can't even be compared to mma. Will be cool to see boxers with over 100 fights.

eBoxing Promoter is probably worth a look at for ideas of how a promotional game may look. It is a free browser game.

Last time I played it, I quite liked how they went about the amateur scene which is the future lifeblood of boxing. I.E. turn amateurs turning pro after the Olympics etc

Any updates you can share about the game you're developing ? Fun info?

The UI is being worked on right now, but otherwise, details and game name should be coming soon. The UI will be quite slick and polished (no big surprise from my stuff really) and easy to get going, but have enough depth to be interesting.

Fighter, trainer and corner man selection screens are finished now.

There will be a forum here and announcement soon!

Man, I honestly don't care about boxing but a Greydog boxing universe might just get me hooked :D

We'll see most of the compatible features we have in WMMA 5 in it, Derek? :D

Thank you for the response! Been addicted to watching boxing matches ever since you announced the idea of making it a game from Greydog. Seriously cant wait for the screenshots and more info. One suggestion tho, please give us the ability to have tournaments in the game. I need to get my Ali Trophy Tournament going. Itll be interesting too see the whole game world too, really hoping this mirrors Wmma in some kind of way. The more in depth we can get about boxers, promotions, fights, rankings, purse bids, title unifications, olympics, match cards etc the better. Also interested in how many countries will be in the game as boxing is a universal sport at this point tbh.

For now at least, the game will be set in the US, with the timeframe being young boxers (19-25 mostly) just turning pro, and entering the pro ranks. The world will consist of (initially) 7 weight classes with 10 boxers in each class, and fighting among themselves for titles in each class.

The default universe will be randomly generated each game (of course there will be options for you to create your own universe with real boxers, trainers, etc. from whatever era you want).

You select up to 3 boxers (1 per class) and control their negotiations for money, their training, and their progress, signing them to contracts that may change over time. Their skills will develop (or not!) as you assign training and manage them, and each boxer will have 8 skills, including Strength, Footwork, Stamina and Reflexes, along with ratings for Jab, Cross, Hook and Uppercut, along with a hidden 'Potential' stat that may dictate how well they develop.

You'll hire a Trainer and a Corner Man to help you manage your fighters of course, with their own set of stats, including Judgement, Wisdom, etc.

This isn't really a 'booking' simulator, as Boxing is somewhat different than Wrestling in this regard. If your boxers do well, the purses will be able to rise up and you'll earn more, and even the right to fight for a title at some stage for big bucks. Injuries, accidents, etc. may happen that can derail a figher's career of course.

Over time, I can add other countries, etc. as demand dictates. The design will be very modular so that expansion of the game will be easy.

I think the comparison everyone is going for here is wmma (or at least the people who mentioned it ). The game sounds super fun and like it'll be a good time. Sad about the booking aspect. I feel like we should have the ability to add our own weight classes like wmma. Wmma did so much right when it came to combat sims. Boxing and mma are different like I stated before, but that engine blew me away personally. Hopefully we can get a lot more countries added too. Like I said the more in depth it is the better for everyone.
