Cornellverse, now in Springs 2023

This is my first save i've played more than a year into. I'm new to the game and went bankrupt the first time lol.

World Heavyweight Champion: Logan Wolfsbaine

World Cruiserweight Champion: Extraordinario Jr

United States Champion: Nelson Callum

Queen of the Universe: Fuyuko Higa

Television Champion: Charlie Corner

World Tag Team Champions: Sasquatch McGraw & Otis Von Battenberg (Canadian Hardcore)

Personally, I don't try the CornellVerse often enough, but even I have encountered Wolfsbaine in a save or two. How is his popularity looking? Would be interested how his stats are at that point.

I dropped the smaller wrestler and the female divisions. As a kid I never liked the way matches with smaller wrestlers went, for WWF it was a comedy thing. And I didn't feel like there was enough talent for a proper female division. I'll definitely bring the Women's title back when Wendy Richter hits the scene (if I make it that far).</p><p> </p><p>

Bruno's in a series with Killer Kowalski and carrying the WWWF main event scene. If Killer was younger, I'd put the title on him, but he's 43. So we'll see how this pans out.</p>

WWWF, Vincent J, McMahon, Feb Wk3 1970 (Territory Daze)

January 1970 (Wk4)

WWWF World Heavyweight - Bruno Sammartino

WWWF US World Heavyweight - Bobo Brazil

WWWF Junior Heavyweight - Lou Albano

WWWF International Tag Team - The Russian Bear and The Krusher (Ivan Koloff & Karl Kovaks)

February 1970 (Wk3)

WWWF World Heavyweight - Bruno Sammartino

WWWF US World Heavyweight - Killer Kowalski

WWWF Junior Heavyweight - Lou Albano

WWWF International Tag Team - The Russian Bear and The Krusher (Ivan Koloff & Karl Kovaks)

I realized that having all handshake deals can be a dangerous gamble. At first I didn't mind it because another company would book someone I felt needed the experience, like Victor Rivera & Tony Marino in the NWF. Then suddenly I was juggling fatigued workers, and later injured AND fatigued workers. The final nail in the coffin was when JCP booked Bruno Sammartino into a draw with Lord Littlebrook. I broke out the checkbook and signed several top talents to exclusive iron clad contracts. Finally, I set JCP as my rival and signed Abe Jacobs exclusively. He seemed to be carrying a lot of their shows as a lot of JCP's older talent is getting injured and/or retiring.

Gorilla Monsoon is running a face stable of prospects with Pedro Morales, Carlos Colon, and Victor Rivera. Named them the Capitol Sports Group, they're a bunch of babyfaces funded by an investment team and Monsoon plays a coach of sorts. Rivera is the "bad egg" of the group, but he's already preparing a heel turn.

Dick Brower and George Steele are a dominating heel tag team that give rambling interviews and squash jobbers.

There aren't a lot of strong babyfaces out there. Bruno, Pedro, and Gorilla are the only faces that are getting consistent marks for their matches. It's a little tough to book, but I can hire in some local workers.

Ivan Koloff and Karl Kovaks are holding down the tag team division with The Eternal Axis (Waldo Von Erich & Baron Mikel Scicluna) acting as their gatekeeper. Don't really have any face teams other than various combos of Bruno & "Someone Else". Still building Volkoff to take Kovaks spot, tag division is getting some momentum.

Feb Wk2 1970; Ivan Koloff injured Bruno on WWWF's Studio Wrestling program. It's a back injury that will take 11 weeks to recover from. He can still compete in the ring, but I'd rather not at this point. I think my pivot is having the WWWF's scene plunge into a heel hellscape. Killer, Ivan, and Waldo will be a Evil Trifecta with Brower & Steele as these wrecking machines that show up to lay out some extra damage.

Feb Wk3 1970; Killer Kowalski defeats Bobo Brazil to take the WWWF US title and act as interim champion. Bruno sits at the color spot next to Bill Cardille to mixed results.

Awesome write up

Thank you! This is turning out to be a lot of fun. I've been watching a lot of old matches to get a better handle on the booking. There's some high quality JWA shows on youtube.

I also realized the power of the promo. Ernie Ladd is getting 100's as "The Baaaaaaaad Man". He comes out, jaws at the crowd or his opponent, dominates, leaves.

Right now it's just fun booking the heels, but I know I have to get someone in as a babyface other than Bruno. Maybe I'll try to pair Dominic DeNucci up with Pat Barrett and see what that does. Also, thinking of having George Steele turn babyface to feud with Dick Brower, but having them get double DQs all the time because their matches always get out of hand. Probably should build the last Brower/Steele as my first cage match for the WWWF.

I can't wait to book the Sammartino/Kowalski matches. Only another 8 weeks to wait!

<p>Only 3 Months and 3 PPV's into a TCW Save. It was a dynasty but I've found I just don't have the staying power to write consistantly. So hats off to those that do.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>TCW World Heavyweight</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Aaron Andrews</em></p><p> </p><p>

Went to a time limit draw against Wolf Hawkins (90) at Malice In Wonderland and was then attacked by the debuting Glory or Death (TA Gilmore and Casey Valentine). Has feuded with Glory or Death since to keep AA and Wolf away from each other. Had a tag match against G.O.D. at War to Settle the score with Edd Stone stepping up to help AA which G.O.D. won (89) but had his monthly defence on a Total Wrestling against Freddy Huggins which he retain in (86). And then defended against TA Gilmore at Battleground and retained with a massive (96) rated match.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>TCW World Tag Team</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>G.O.D</em> - TA Gilmore and Casey Valentine</p><p> </p><p>

Won the titles off of The Behemoths in a triple threat tag match including Mighty Meaty (81). They have since whilst feuding with Aaron Andrews had four title defences. Outside the defence against Andrews and Stone, they also defeated Andrews and Bach (86) and Devine Fortune (95). Now whilst they continued to feud with AA it's about building a tag team bigger enough to take those titles and still keep them elevated after this G.O.D. run.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>TCW International</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Greg Gauge</em> - Awarded to Greg Gauge to replace his TV Title.</p><p> </p><p>

Greg Gauge was too big for a TV Title, and to be honest I'm not a fan of a TV Title myself. For his place in the roster the reactivated International title made sense. After defeating Benny Benson who he started January in a feud with at Malice (76) he has retained at every PPV with his latest defence in a fourway against Human Arsenal, Bart Biggins and Joshua Taylor getting (78). With Phil Vibert as his manager and the two of them building a stable "Vibe Check" it won't be long till he's too big for the International Title.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>TCW All Action</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Roderick Remus</em></p><p> </p><p>

Reactivated to give the guys lower down the card something new to fight for. Akima Brave was signed and was the first champion on the titles return, winning it at Malice against Roderick Remus (47). Roderick has been on a mission to revenge that loss. Akima defended all the way till Battleground against the likes of Matt Hocking (61) and Jeremie Courtney (61) but at Battleground lost it to Roderick Remus (46). As you can see the issue is, Roderick had the two worst matches with Akima out of his entire reign. But I have a few signings that aren't too far off popularity wise who I think will help elevate this title.</p>
