Fireworks all month long!

Jan 1970 - June (Wk.3) 1972

WWWF World Heavyweight - The Destroyer

WWWF US Heavyweight - Cowboy Bob Ellis

WWWF Junior Heavyweight - Danny Hodge

WWWF World Tag Team - Ivan Koloff & Nikolai Volkoff (The Iron Curtain)

Jan 1970 - July (Wk.4) 1972

WWWF World Heavyweight - The Destroyer

WWWF US Heavyweight - The Spoiler

WWWF Junior Heavyweight - Danny Hodge

WWWF World Tag Team - Bruno Sammartino & Pedro Morales (x2)

WWWF US Tag Team - Johnny & Jimmy Valiant (The Valiants)

Danny Hodge's age begins to show in the ring, and his 14 defenses in a few months are starting to wear on his frame. Now he's showing more craft in the ring than simple tough guy tactics; trying to outlast with minimal effort, taking matches longer, and locking in the submission as soon as he can. He's not desperate, but Ray Stevens has taken notice and already has his manager Heenan making noise in the offices to get him a shot at the aging Hodge.

The Spoiler recovered early to get his revenge on Cowboy Bob Ellis. Locking in the Hart Krusher with leader Gary Hart at ringside, it was a short yet energetic reign for Ellis. Archie Gouldie promises to get some retribution for his friend's loss.

The Valiants and Freddie Blassie had petitioned to get the US tag team titles reinstated nearly all Summer. Manager, Blassie, claimed they held too much respect for The Iron Curtain and refused to challenge them. Eventually McMahon caved and they were placed as one of 4 teams in an eliminator to determine the winner of the reinstated tag titles. In the final, Johnny V rolled up Gene Kiniski for a cheap win over Kiniski & Earl Maynard at the Showdown at Shea to a crowd of boos. Kiniski & Maynard are in the Can-Am Connection stable with Bobo Brazil and Mark Lewin who may be next in line to take a shot at The Valiants.

Not to be outdone, the World tag titles returned to the waists of Bruno & Pedro. However, there is still a rematch to be held and it seems like the sooner the better for the Iron Curtain.

The Destroyer's "Inoki Problem" got a little worse. Giant Baba stepped out due to injury. Manager, Bobby Heenan, decided to pull a few strings and get Ernie Ladd to take Baba's spot while Destroyer takes mandatory title defenses. Inoki won, and in turn won a shot at The Destroyer at the next Showdown at Shea in August. Last year's tag team champions are this year's natural enemies for the World Championship!

Post January 4th show. 1992-1997.

IWGP Heavyweight: Tatsumi Fujinami (5x) (3 defenses)

Last Defense: Masahiro Chono (Jan 4th)

IWGP Tag Team: Ten-Koji (1x) (0 defenses)

Defeated: Kensuke Sasaki & Hiroshi Hase (Jan 4th)

IWGP Jr. Heavyweight: Ultimo Dragon (2x) (0 defenses)

Defeated: Koji Kanemoto (Jan 4th)

IWGP U-30: Glenn Jacobs (1x) (0 defenses)

Defeated: Jun Akiyama (Jan 4th)

1996 G1 Climax Winner: The Great Muta (2x)

1996 Super Grade Tag League Winners: Kensuke Sasaki & Hiroshi Hase (2x)

1996 BOSJ Winner: Hayabusa (1x)

1996 Young Lion Cup: Tetsuhiro Kuroda

Lots of title changes this Tokyo Dome show. The U-30 was desperately needed as most of my roster are either not over enough, talented enough, or just... aren't ready to hold the IWGP Heavyweight title. All of my gaijin talent are on PPA deals, sort of to simulate the real world. Lost Chris Benoit earlier to WCW which specifically hurt me. Kensuke Sasaki is getting ready to dethrone Fujinami, whilst Sasaki is climbing up the card to main event status... Atsushi Onita's time decline continues to force him down. Shame, but he had a fun tag team run with Cactus Jack. Either way, loving this save.

Electrifying World Wrestling

EWW Heavyweight: Hulk Hogan

EWW Continental: Ivan Koloff (Note: title won by case due to Ron Simmons injuring during their match. The story i imaginated is Koloff lackey, Vladimir Petrov, injuring him with a chain and costing the title)

EWW Tag Team: The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid) (x2)

EWW Television: Lex Luger

World Wrestling Federation

WWF Heavyweight: Barry Windham

WWF Intercontinental: Rick Martel

WWF Women's: Velvet McIntyre (x2)

WWF World Tag Team: The Brisco Brothers (Jerry Brisco & Jck Brisco)

American Wrestling Association

AWA World Heavyweight: Bam Bam Bigelow

AWA International Television: Dingo Warrior

AWA World Tag Team: The Texas Outlaws (Dusty Rhodes & Dick Murdoch)

AWA World Women's: Reggie Bennett

Jim Crockett Promotions

NWA World Heavyweight: Jake Roberts

NWA United States Heavyweight: Shane Douglas

NWA World Six-Man Tag Team: Cactus Jack & The Southern Boys (Tracy Smothers & Steve Armstrong)

NWA World Tag Team: The Midnight Express (Stan Lane & Bobby Eaton)

NWA World Television: Jimmy Snuka

Leyendas de la Lucha Libre

LLL Mega Leyenda: Chavo Guerrero

LLL Futura Leyenda: Blue Demon Jr.

LLL Dúo de Leyendas: Héroes del Pueblo (Volador & El Fantasma) (x2)

LLL Trío de Leyendas: Los Villanos (Villano III & Villano IV & Villano V)

LLL Mujeres Leyenda: Irma González

Notes: In EWW Hogan just beat Bruiser Brody to retain the title but he must beware of Arn Anderson and his group of men (Andre The Giant,Lex Luger, Terry Taylor).A battle of stables is going on between heels "The Solution" (Tully Blanchard, Curt Hennig, King Kong Bundy, Greg Valentine) and faces "Dragon Dojo" (Ricky Steamboat, Ultimate Warrior that replaced Vader due to injury, Mitsuhiro Misawa, Ultimo Dragon). Among others Sting is rising fast and is ready to conquer Koloff Continental title.

WWF had problems keeping some TV contracts and is in a transition phase. Barry Windham is still the undisputed champion and no one seems to bother him. Lawler or Ultimate Warrior would seem the most accredited to take the belt away from him. Big Boss Man destroyed Billy Graham and forced him to retire. Next step for him is catching the Intercontinental Title.

In AWA Austin Idol is trying to regain Bam Bam World Heavyweight Title and now has the help of the Harris Brothers (Ron & Don Harris). Scott Hall launched the challenge to Dingo Warrior for the International title and he seems sure to win. Dusty Rhodes is still one of the most over in the company.

In JCP everything is ready for the big battle between Road Warriors and Midnight Express. Harley Race wants a "last dance" with Jake Roberts title and Backlund,Snuka,Shane Douglas are establishing theirselves as major stars in the company . The Company is rising in popularity but there are rumours of a financial crisis and a mysterious buyer on the background...

Down in Mexico in LLL the veteran Irma González won the Mujeres Leyenda title at the age of 51. "La Familia Rota" feud is going on and Hector Guerrero and Eddie Guerrero had an important win against Chavo and Mando Guerrero. In the next event there will be Hector vs Chavo for the title. Meanwhile LLL signed big star El Hijo del Santo and is starting to be a serious treat for other mexicans companies such as EMLL and UWA.

WWF lost Tv deal and now is going only throught events. Barry Windham defeated Ron Bass to retain for the 21st time WWF Heavyweight title.

In JCP Midnight Express (Stan Lane & Bobby Eaton) alongside with Jim Cornette are trying to avoid a clash with the Road Warriors. Harley Race won the title by cheating Jake Roberts that now is ready for revenge. Dory Funk jr joined the company by attacking Jimmy Snuka. Ole Anderson left the company and is ready to go to AJPW where is the reigning champion Terry Funk

In AWA Dusty Rhodes contract has only 30 days left and there is a bidding war between EWW,JCP,AWA,AJPW for him. He is currently the company figurehead and losing him would be a blow for AWA

Love these updates. What is happening in WCW,WWF, and ECW?

ECW:

ECW is doing horribly if we're talking about true-to-life factor. Sandman won the Heavyweight title in 1994 for the second time. Eddie Gilbert is the current holder. But for some damn reason since then the title scene has been just Ian Rotten and Eddie. I'd give more details but I legitimately do not recognize half their roster anymore, and whilst I'm not a massive '90-'95 wrestling fan. All of their roster is mostly jobbers and lesser impactful guys.

WCW:

WCW Tag Team: The Fabulous Freebirds (Hayes/Taylor)

They're 6x champions. They're smashing it lmao. They've been legit trading the title with the Enforcers since like '93. Since '93, only 2 teams that weren't The Enforcers or The Fabulous Freebirds have held the World Tag Team titles.

WCW World Television: Richard Morton

Only a first-timer here. Ricky Morton having a title reign is neat. He beat Bam Bam. Konan and Buff Bagwell, and El Gigante are (in)famously previous holders.

WCW United States: Davey Boy Smith

Davey Boy Smith is having a rampant run in WCW. Defeating the previous 5x champion Ricky Steamboat. Previous champions are Cactus Jack, Sid, Ultimate Warrior, and Barry Windham.

WCW World Heavyweight: Rick Rude

Won the vacant title for the 3rd time after Hogan suffered a badly herniated spinal disc. He is out for a year, and I think this ends the Hulkster's career actually. Title is prestigious is all hell though. Previous holders are Ted DiBiase, Vader, and Lex Luger.

WCW Light Heavyweight: Dustin Rhodes

I don't know man, they love giving this guy this title. He is in his fourth reign. Middleweight is a bit weird.. because my boy Jake Roberts has had a reign. DDP as well.

WCW has been absolutely killing it, I blame the fact that they always poach my gaijin. A "soft" rule I have (I don't always follow it, but try my best) is that I only ever really sign 1 gaijin to an exclusive contract. So... I've lost Vader, Chris Benoit, Bam Bam, Ricky Steamboat and Ric Flair to WCW.

WWF:

WWF World Tag: The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk)

Just won these titles right before I replied to you, actually. Their tag division has been weirdly spearheaded by Al Snow and Van Hammer, who held the titles twice.

WWF Intercontinental: Buddy Rose

44 year old, one time champion, Buddy Rose. Defeated... One Man Gang to hold this glorious title. Other recent holders include: Papa Shango (3x champ!), Earthquake, and Marty Jannetty.

WWF Heavyweight: Mr. Perfect

Everything is perfect when Mr. Perfect is holding the big one. Love to see it. He managed to defeat former champion The Mountie. Other recent holders include: The Hitman, Tony Atlas, and Macho Man Randy Savage. Little fun fact, Mr. Perfect's last defense was against Marty Jannety in a 98 rated match. Lol.

1996 KOTR: Irwin R. Schyster

1997 Royal Rumbe: Shawn Michaels (this is his first freaking title win in WWF!)

Extremely interested tidbit: I signed Kenta Kobashi, partly to save AJPW from collapsing, and because I figured why not? He has been in midcard purgatory, getting overpaid. Well... a scandal just engulfed literally as I was replying to you. So now I just lost Kobashi. Very disheartening. His popularity went from 93 to 70... my Gosh, this is terrible. I had so many plans for him this year!
