NWA: USA - The American Way

Recommended Posts

Hey, this is my first try at a dynasty ever, so apologies if it reeks big time lol. I am using the newest version of the Damaged - Freeverse Database, and will do my best to fill in on things I have done so far, as I am 3 weeks in. -------------------------------------------------- Today was the day my dream was finally going to be realised. After seeing so many shows when I was a kid, with such greats as Hooded Kudo wrestling, it was almost immediately my want to become part of such a great business. So much has changed since then, new wrestlers, and new promotions. One of which I applied for a job at, NWA - USA. It had some great talent, and could become great. As soon as I met with Bruce Luger over the job, he said he was looking for a head booker to help him, as he was struggling with owning the promotion and running the shows, so I asked if I could possibly have a shot, with a tryout show of sorts. He agreed and allowed me to book NWA: USA - Arrival, on the 1st Monday of December, and it pulled out a solid C+, with such matches as Darius Sidel vs Jim Force, and Fly Boys vs Law & Order. In fact, he was so pleased he offered me the job permanantly. We met and discussed what plans we had for our roster, which currently looks like this: Ace Alexander, one of the newest aquisitions of NWA: USA, and looks to have a good future, due to his good all-round skills. One half of the New Jersey Devils, Alex Braun is one of the many workers who have been almost offered singles careers, but forced to tag again. Like a true Buffalo, American Buffalo stampeded right through American Elemental last week, and looks to do the same to Jim Force after he brutalised the Former NWA: USA World champion. Probably not the best debut for American Elemental, but he still showed some much needed prowess for the roster, although he may not be the most over man on the roster, he will most likely become one later on. Herb Stately's client, Big Cat Brandon looks to be on the quest towards the National Title, after tearing through Brimstone last Monday. On the unlucky end of Brandons anger, Brimstone is a part of the small tag team division. This former prison inmate turned wrestler, Brock Steel looks to make a huge impact in NWA: USA, attacking Corporal Doom backstage and knocking him out cold. This veteran of the squared circle, Corporal Doom, brings some much needed experience to the youngsters, while still dishing out as much pain as possible. Probably doesn't have the best gimmick ever, but Danny B Bling is still a good worker that could be a future champion if he learns a little bit more. The new NWA:USA World Champion made perhaps the biggest impact of all. This superstar is possibly the most over and most skilled man on the roster, and proved it when he managed to pull a B- match out of Jim Force. Donny J. is an exciting worker and a good addition to the roster. Another one of the workers who made a positive impact last week. The self proclaimed 'Icon', Eddie Yards has a great future. Has great skills and is only 25 years of age, so still can improve. 'The Ravishing One' Enrique Rodriguez, the NWA: USA National Champion, is the obvious heart throb of the roster. Can produce good matches and even better interviews or angles. The big, tough brawler of the Biker Gang, Hartford already has a shadow cast over the roster, when he and his cronies managed to take down Hell's Bouncer after his match. The youngest of the Biker Gang, Heath Sands....enough said. Daniel Christopher, Heavens Rebel, is an eager contender for the National Title, managing to defeat Eddie Yards after beating away his cronies. The only female on the entire roster, Helen Wheels is able to hold her game against most of it surprisingly. Do not underestimate her, because she will make you regret it. Hellfyre is a crazy individual, thats for sure, but is a talented young brawler. If only we could get him away from Brimstone to see how he can handle himself... The monstrous Hell's Bouncer seems unstoppable, except when faced with a 3 on one attack from behind, will surely be looking for revenge this Monday. All Power and Paint, the former World Champion Jim Force is looking to get his belt back, by any means necessary. The Surfing Dude of NWA:USA, Jimmy P. is a fantastic young worker, and has already acheived success, as one-half of the Amercian Tag Team champions with Donny J. The wild man of the roster, Jungle Jack was the man that lost to Enrique Rodriguez and fell short of a title reign, but I have big plans for this guy. A madman at best, Kritical Kondition is one of the few hardcore stars we have, and is a great entertainer and worker generally. The rapping street fighter, Kurt Laramee, is a good future prospect, but for the moment I will keep him low down the card. The Mountain Man Larry Wood is a decent worker, but due to his age, won't be that good a worker for much longer. One half of Law & Order with Sgt. Adams, Officer Davis has had some good matches, and is highly charismatic, I think he will be one of the peeps I choose for singles stardom. Sgt. Adams is the other half of Law & Order, and is the muscle behind the brains of Davis, I think he will be a tag worker for a while. The newest addition to the roster, Snap Dragon is a fantastic young worker, and seems destined for stardom. The other New Jersey Devil, the less skilled of the two, Tank Bradley needs more experience, and I think he will be kept in dark matches for a while. The Beast is like his name, a Beast in the ring, finishing people off with a Jack Hammer. Needs more experience before he goes far. The preacher of the century, Travis Century, is a good, yet old, worker. Could go far if he manages to improve at all. When I talked about dominating the roster earlier, I was joking compared to what T-Rex did last week, when he almost literally tore apart the New Jersey Devils and Herb Stately when he lost his match by DQ in a fit of rage. The veteran Vin Tanner is a good worker to round off the roster. The patriotic Whistler is a great addition to NWA: USA because of his loyal fan base.

Me and Bruce looked over the title scene, which was currently so: NWA: USA World Heavyweight Champion Darius Sidel Won - Monday, Week 2 December 2006 Beat - Jim Force NWA: USA American Tag Team Champions The Fly Boys Won - Monday, Week 2 December 2006 Beat - Law & Order NWA: USA National Champion Enrique Rodriguez Won - Monday, Week 2 December 2006 Beat - Jungle Jack We decided that we wanted some strong tag team champions, and although Donny J. and Jimmy P would be fun and thrilling champs, we needed stars that could really deliver, and bring the fans to our shows. OOC: Any suggestions on members of the roster or unhired people?

NWA: USA – Americas Stars Monday, Week 3 December 05 Illinois State Park – Great Lakes Attendance – 10,000 My second ever show, and I was determined to make it work, whatever it took. Fans saw a quick dark match: American Elemental def. Larry Wood by submission in 2:23 (C-) These two have great chemistry in the ring, if only Larry was a better worker. Now onto the live show as I sat myself down in Lugers office. Match 1: Snap Dragon vs. Sgt. Adams A quick but necessary match to show what these two have in the ring, and it shone through with the fans being interested. In the end Sgt. Adams gets the pinfall with a handful of tights after Snap Dragon fails to connect with the Dragons Breath Sgt. Adams def. Snap Dragon in 3:32 (C) Jungle Jack came out and quickly began posing before entering the ring. He grabbed the microphone, which I now kinda regret. He talked about how he was going to prove to all the fans that a monster can’t withstand a Wild Man like him, and he had his eyes set on that World Title. (C+) The Fly Boys were backstage with Eric Baine and Eddie Yards, having a few drinks as they are certain they will beat the Dark Minions. As the Fly Boys get up to leave Baine & Yards wish them luck. (C+) Match 2: Fly Boys vs Dark Minions – Non-title The Fly Boys had this one down, and seemed completely ready to put the minions away in a few seconds. But just as they we’re getting ready to finish off Brimstone, Eric Baine ran down to the ring and took out Jimmy P. over the top rope. As the referee tended to Brimstone, Baine nailed Donny J. with the Biker Bullet, before leaving the ring and heading up the ramp as Brimstone edged his way towards Donny and placed his arm over him. Dark Minions def. Fly Boys in 7:11 (C+) We see Baine & Yards backstage, and the look into the camera, before saying that The Fly Boys should’ve seen that coming, because you can never trust anybody, and they are going to take those belts and give them honour (C). Jim Force runs to the ring with mic in hand to cheers from the crowd. He talks about how great he is and how he is destined to be the first 2-time USA: NWA World Champion (B-). But then American Buffalo charges down to the ring and nails Jim with a stiff clothesline (C+) as the ref rings the bell. Match 3: American Buffalo vs Jim Force - Tournament American Buffalo dominated this match, taking Force down with everything he had and every move he had. He then headed outside and grabbed a chair. He nails Jim over the head with it causing the disqualification. Jim Force def. American Buffalo by DQ in 6:50 (C+) We go to the announcers table where we see Bruce Luger & Herb Stately talking about the upcoming match of Jungle Jack vs T-Rex (C) Match 4: Jungle Jack vs T-Rex - Tournament Jungle Jacks words were not back up here, as T-Rex threw him around like a rag doll in the ring, before locking in the Jurassic Crush, sending Jack tapping away T-Rex def. Jungle Jack in 4:37 (C) T-Rex refuses to let go, causing Jack to fall unconscious. Referees run down to try and break it up, but T-Rex levels them as well. (C+) We come back from a break to see Herb Stately talking with Big Cat Brandon, advising him on his match tonight against Heavens Rebel (C+) Match 5: Big Cat Brandon vs Heavens Rebel The match was completely back and forth action, with Big Cat Brandon getting the win at 7:27 after a Big Cat Pounce after Herb left the announce table and threw dust at Rebels eyes Big Cat Brandon def. Heavens Rebel (B-) A video plays hyping up the match between Darius Sidel & Enrique Rodriguez (C+) Match 6: Vin Tanner vs. Eddie Yards Another great match of the evening after another, with Vin getting the victory by Countout after he knocked Eddie of the top rope with a clothesline. Vin Tanner def. Eddie Yards by Countout (B-) Donny J. tries to run down to ringside and beat on Eddie Yards, but gets levelled with a dropkick from Eddie, followed by a Full Nelson Slam onto the barrier. (C) Enrique is backstage warming up when Brock Steel wishes him good luck later tonight. (A) Main Event: Darius Sidel vs Enrique Rodriguez A disappointing match if anything from these two. Sidel got the win in 12:31 Darius Sidel def. Enrique Rodriguez in 12:31 with a Jackhammer (C+) T-Rex bursts from the curtains and immediately begins to lay into Darius, who tries to cover up, but to no avail. Rex locks in the Jurassic Crush as the show closes. (B-) Overall Show Rating – C+ OOC: I was pleased with how well Eddie Yards vs Vin Tanner + Heavens Rebel vs Big Cat Brandon came out. And obviously ecstatic about the A grade angle with Enrique & Brock, I’m going to put these two in angles with each other more often. Of course feedback is appreciated, as well as suggestions

From NWA.com/USA Another good show from the new booker. And what great showings by Heavens Rebel, Vin Tanner, Big Cat & Eddie Yards, best matches of the night, and they managed to beat the Main Event, surely there is more in the future for these guys. Our workers have been getting on very well recently, especially Alex Braun & Larry Wood, who have forged a strong friendship. Same happened with Jim Force, who has become good friends with Johnny Bloodstone, a person NWA: USA is said to have their eyes on. Speaking of hiring & firings, the recent roster changes are as such: Hirings Goliath Mark DuBois - Nobody in NWA: USA management understands why Mark DuBois was released by SWF, as he was a great worker, but nobody is complaining. OOC: Thanks Damaged, I've always loved your database, and I'm glad you like it and I'm not failing miserably lol. (C+) Marc DuBois comes out to the ring and hypes his match against Big Cat Brandon and how he WILL win his debut match. Brandon fought for about a minute before tapping out at 10:12 Marc DuBois def. Big Cat Brandon (B-) Herb told Big Cat Brandon to beat DuBois to the mat, and he did just that (C) Overall Show Rating – C+ I am continually impressed by Big Cat and Heavens Rebel, I am going to need to give these guys some title shots. Only let down was how Brandon is let down by Herb, I need to get a new manager for him. OOC: If anybody has any suggestions for Brandons new manager, please post them, it will be appreciated greatly.
From NWA.com.USA: More superb matches from Heavens Rebel & Brandon this week, surely Luger has good futures for these superstars. Also a good debut for the amazing Marc DuBois, SWF are surely regretting letting him go now. Kritical Kondition (C-) As KK is walking down the aisle after losing, Johnny taunts him about losing against him. All KK does is walk away. (D) We see Big Cat Brandon lifting some weights to prepare for his match (B) Corporal Doom is out in the ring and says that Wilson will never get anywhere in his ring, and that he should watch his back tonight. (C+) Match 2: Corporal Doom vs Jungle Jack vs. A good match between these two, with good twists and turns. Just as Doom had Jack set up for Corporal Punishment however, Cliff Wilson ran down and levelled Doom with a Spear before waking Jungle Jack who hoisted Doom up and nailed him with a Jack-Hammer in 8:33 Jungle Jack def. Corporal Doom (C+) Cliff grabs a mic and walks up the ramp. He says that no matter what Doom may throw at him, he will beat it back (C) Stately & Luger are hyping the upcoming match, but for some reason mention Helen Wheels instead of Heavens Rebel. Heavens Rebel (B-) Herb Stately leaves the announce table and tells Brandon to attack the downed Heavens Rebel (C). Just as Brandon seems about to, Marc DuBois runs down and saves Rebel and helps him up the ramp quickly (C+) Match 4: Bumfholes vs New Jersey Devils vs. A great debut for these youngsters, and a good match generally, as expected. We saw the high flying of the Bumfholes and the brawling of the New Jersey Devils. In the end the Bumfholes got the win when Randy nailed Braun with the Bumfhole Buster at 6:56 Bumfholes def. New Jersey Devils (C+) The Fly Boys are out next and begin to talk about how the deserve these belts, and will do anything to keep Dark Minions or Yards & Baine getting them (C+) Next we see Enrique waiting backstage, warming up and stretching for his match. Darius Sidel, NWA: USA World Champion, appears and wishes the kid luck. (A) Match 5: Whistler vs Cliff Wilson vs. Both these veterans put on a good match, showing both of their strengths and many near falls. When the referee was down after a misplaced dropkick from Wilson, Doom ran down and nailed Cliff with Whistlers flag. He then dragged a downed Whistler, who has Descended to Hell, over to Cliff and woke the referee. Whistler got the three at 8:45 Whistler def. Cliff Wilson (C) Doom grabs a microphone and tells Cliff he told him so. He then calls out his new client, The Beast, and orders him to attack Cliff. Cliff is still unaware of his surrounding and is bloodied quickly (C+) We see Brock Steel celebrating with Darius Sidel (B-) for his upcoming match with Rodriguez. Steel says its going to be easy, but Darius warns him that he could be surprised. Steel doesn’t take this kindly and smashes a glass over Darius’ head and attacks him (B) Match 6: Fly Boys vs Dark Minions For NWA: USA American Tag Team Titles vs. The Fly Boys prove why they are Tag Champs when they put on a good match, but still below the standard I expected. Maybe it shouldn’t have been so far up the card. Fly Boys retained after Donny got the pin in 6:15 Fly Boys def. Dark Minions to retain (C+) The Fly Boys then taunt Yards & Baine and tell them they will never win fairly. (C+) Bruce Luger then hypes the upcoming Steel vs. Rodriguez match (C+) Main Event: Enrique Rodriguez vs. Brock Steel For NWA: USA National Title vs. A classic match between these two, showing why Enrique is champ and Brock is in the Main Event. Enrique gets the win when he manages to lock in the Latino Lock after Sidel ran down and took out Steel with a Jackhammer. Enrique def. Brock Steel to retain (B) Sidel walks up the ramp and taunts Steel, he should have never attacked him, as he’ll regret it. (B) Overall Rating - B- OOC: I am really pleased with Brandon & Rebel now, another great match. I am going to put these guys in the next Main Event. Also, Steel, Enrique & Sidel are my official rating drawers, getting the first B match so far, and pulling out great angles. Proves why they are where they are.

Both men ended up getting counted out when a clothesline from Bouncer took them both over, and Johnny locked on the Blood Clot for no other use but to punish him. Johnny Bloodstone drew with Hell’s Bouncer following a Double Count Out in 5:42 (C) We see Big Cat Brandon talking with somebody in his locker room, as the camera gets a better view, it appears to be a woman. Vin Tanner (B) Rebel celebrated his win happily in the ring (C), when Vin stood up and extended his hand to Rebel, who gladly shook it. Brock Steel (B+) Darius then runs into the crowd and celebrates with them (A*) – wow again. Overall Show Rating – B OOC: Very very good show. Darius’s popularity of A really helped the show, and he pulled off the greatest match and angles to date, proving why he is the World Champion. And also Steel & Enrique prove why they are near Main Eventers. One thing that really surprised me was the 4 man tag team match, but when u had the Main Eventers – Baine & Alex Braun of NJD – and the Upper Mids – Tank Bradley of NJD & Eddie Yards – I guess that is what you get. Also, could I have some feedback on what you think of how im running the shows and how I'm writing them, what I could improve on etc.
From NWA.com.USA: What a night for NWA: USA. Some of the best matches yet, and Sidel is showing his true strengths. Many are wondering how many years it will be until he loses that World Title, we agreed on it being at least two based on his performance. Improvements: Bruce Luger seems to have gained better mic skills. Big Cat Brandon appears to be showing more charisma. Corporal Doom seems to be getting more charismatic and better on the mic. Eddie Yards appears to be more charismatic, being a better mat & submission wrestler, brawling better and reacting more to moves. Hell's Bouncer seems to be safer in the ring and getting a better physique. Marc DuBois is a lot safer in matches and has more star quality as of late. Toma picked up his debut win in 8:57 with a Long Range Headbutt Kid Toma def. Johnny Bloodstone - C+ Law & Order are interviewed by Marv Earnest about tonights match, they say that together they are unbeatable, and that will be proved when they destroy their thorn, Snap Dragon. (C-) Sidel is walking backstage (A*) and enters an open locker room. He sits down and talks with somebody, who we find out is The Beast (A*), but we don't see much more due to Sidel closing the door. Ace & Snap seem to work well as a team, but they weren't able to overcome the power of Sgt. Adams who put Snap away with an Order Restored in 4:50. Law & Order def. Ace & Snap Dragon (C) Jungle Jack is backstage, and bumps into Jim Force, both begin to blame the other. Jack then says Force stands no chance against Buffalo tonight. Force then says he's nowhere near being a Savage like hes says he is, he's a pathetic wannabe. Jack challenges Force to a match at the next show, and Force accepts. (C+) Brock Steel is in the ring, and cuts a promo warning Sidel that he better watch his back tonight.
From NWA/USA.com NWA: USA have made some new signings, looking to expand the womens division: Cherry Bomb The so called "Crazy Cherry" Cherry Bomb is an excellent worker and entertainer, making for a perfect addition to the roster. Golden Delicious An above average worker, with training could become a tough competitor.
