parliboy
Is there an in-game benefit to being the champion? That is, does it give you a better position during negotiations, cause you to raise your levels more quickly, or anything like that? Or do you pretty much just get to sit there and say, "W00t, I'm the champ"?
Rustee John
I think it raises your overness depending on the level of the title... When I won the SWF NA title my overness went huge, it went even bigger when i won SWF World Heavyweight Title.
Skull
I would think it would also make the promotion you work for more probable to re-sign you, i'm just guessing tho
Rustee John
Dunno, i got kicked out of DAVE even tho i had their big title, was hoping I had an option to steal it and take it to another promotion
ShootTheMoon
Personally, when I won the BHOTG world title, my overness went up around the world, as BH is a global promotion. I have 60 overness now in the US, despite the fact that the last time I wrestled there, my overness was in the low 30s. I even have some overness in Mexico and Australia, where I have never appeared. Also, during my contract negotiation, I was able to get them to pay me over $60,000 per month, a pretty serious increase over the $1600 per month contract I had when I won the title. I do not know if being champion had any effect on the amount offered, however.
