|| ECW 2006 || Dawn of a New era for WWE

This is based purely off the TEW game, this in no way represents real life ECW 2006 Backstory March After recieving the news that ECW would be returning, Paul Heyman, Tommy Dreamer and Rob Van Dam started collecting all the necessary information they would need from the McMahons, they were told that it could not be the ECW of old, but ECW 2006. After further enquiries they were told they would be part of the new WWE, a "Three Promotion" Promotion that WWE had designed to fight off the increasing popularity of TNA. WWE: Raw was headed by the male McMahons, Vince as owner, Shane as head booker, all workers on the Raw brand remained there, and SmackDown! was ran by the female McMahons, Linda as owner and Stephanie staying on as head booker, their roster was very depleated after the reemergance of the ECW brand. ECW would be owned by Paul Heyman, but Vince wanted an outsider, someone that hadn't been nvolved in ECW to be the head booker. Taking this as a risky move, the new ECW "Board" decided to suggest that Tommy Dreamer be the lead, this was shot down, after several other names flew around, Vince decided to leave it to Heyman to find the outsider, otherwise ECW would not return! April Heyman's search was not going well, who couldhe possibly bring in to book ECW 2006 the way he wanted, without making it a complete mockery? He didn't want people that would push ECW in the old mould, Vince wanted a new twist, he couldn't have someone who had previously been involved, again Vince didn't want that, so what could he do? After ECW's final meeting of April, they all agreed on one man, a man that had held every title possible in Europe throught the late 80's and early 90's, a man who was involved with Eastern Championship Wrestling prior to the move to Extreme, a man that Heyman had wanted to use in ECW before his injuries forced him from the sport, he wanted Davide Simeone. Simeone was a man that took action, stood by his words, and never regretted anything (well, maybe except his Senton Bomb off the top of the scaffolding that forced his retirement) he was a former 3 time European Wrestling League Unified champion, no other man had ever done that, and Heyman wanted Simeone's raw agression and his passion for the business to help push ECW to new heights. May After gaining Vince's approval, Heyman immediately spoke with Simeone, Heyman offered Simeone the chance to appear at One Night Stand, just to allow the fans to know who would be behind the new ECW. He mulled the decision over, and decided to give it a shot, he had been away from the ring for along time, but his back was feeling ready to return, he agreed to appear at One Night Stand, and, should the need call for someone to take his Spinning Face Buster, then he assured Paul it would be done. Heyman, pleased to have got his man, went ahead with more talks with both the ECW Board and Vince McMahon to discuss who should be on the new roster, the names of Terry Funk and Sabu were the first to be thrown around, and Heyman was granted permission to speak with them, and any other former talent he wished to talk to he could do so. Heyman, obviously pleased by this decided to push further, and asked to bring a few people from OVW with him, Vince was curious as to who, and CM Punk was brought up, having only appeared on WWE television as one of the gun weilding mobsters for John Cena's entrance at Mania, Vince agreed, this, for Heyman, felt like a big swoop after being increadibly impressed by Punk. June One Night Stand month, the whole atmosphere was fantastic, all the old guys back again, so many workers had returned to work with Heyman again, the roster was still small, and Heyman wanted new blood, he asked guys in the locker room who they suggested, and most were willing to offer their input on who they were impressed by whilst working the Indy's. With an open check book, Heyman felt like a child in a candy store, he went straight to Simeone and asked on potential signees, how he would use them, and wether they would be used on the main roster, or in a development territory, if of course they could get one. Heyman and Simeone took the idea of bringing back Hardcore TV to Vince, he agreed they'd need a deal, and asked where they could possibly head to, after all, most stations didn't want a trashy promotion on their networks. After lengthy discussions Vince came back with 2 deals, Sky Sports in England and Europe would be airing Hardcore TV on Fridays, and Sci-Fi channel would show it on fridays. Heyman, impressed that he had two tv deals, wanted to know how long these would be, what days he'd have to record the shows on and wetehr there was any opening for more shows. Vince positively reported that should ECW do well throught July, then, there was possibily of either a one hour, or two hour slot elsewhere, the time depending on how well they do. He also noted that the current Hardcore TV would last 2 hours, and would be taped on Thursdays, although it could be taped on Wednesdays if need be. Heyman announced on ECW.com, which was restarted at the end of May, that he had finalised the primary roster for the new ECW, and fans were a little surprised at how small it was, and the complete lack of officials. Roster Face Al Snow Axl Rotten Balls Mahoney Big Show Danny Doring Joey Styles Kid Richie Kurt Angle Masato Tanaka Mike Awesome Roadkill Rob Van Dam Sabu Stevie Richards Terry Funk The Sandman Tommy Dreamer Tony Mamaluke Yoshihiro Tajiri Heel CM Punk CW Anderson Dawn Marie Jamie Noble Jazz Jimmy Yang Justin Credible Kid Kash Little Guido NDP Taz As everyone could see, the alignments weren't all that even, but Heyman was optimistic about who would be joining once Simeone had took over booking reigns in July. July July started with the monthly meeting, decisions on who to sign, who to put belts on, usualy opening meeting neccesities etc, but after only half and hour, Vince decided to speak up, he was unhappy with the fact that TNa were said to be going internationally with Spike and The Wrestling Channels decision to move them prime time, Vince said drastic action needed to be taken, and all stops must be pulled out, Raw and SmackDown! had already completely split, they were now seen as two opposing promotions, they were "at war" and no one would take talent from them, no one would dare to in Vince's mind, he had already set the ball rolling with idea's for who to sign to ECW contracts, the whole plan of the three promotion split was to kill off TNA, and Vince demanded workers like Styles, Daniels and Joe be put somewhere on a WWE promotion. ECW was very active over the first week, Raw and SmackDown! were too, but not to ECW's extent. July Week 1 It was back, ECW had returned and, albeit only one week, things looked promising, having agreed to do two house shows a week, Tuesday and Friday, fans were flocking to ECW.com so often to hear of the latest updates to the roster that WWE had to allocate it more bandwidth, it recieve twice the number of hits SmackDown! receieved, Raw only managed three quarters of ECW's hits! Vince was understandabely happy with ECW's first weeks success, but, he wanted to see it fitting along with Raw and SmackDown!, he didn't want to see this new brand leaping ahead of it's Brother and Sister promotions as it were, but, as long as one was ahead of TNA, Vince would be happy. News broke on the Wednesday that TNA had risen to International heights, worrying news for Vince, and he urged Shane, Stephanie and Paul to look for new workers to help boost their respective Promotions, ECW discussed who they wanted with both Raw and SmackDown! and they agreed on certain names going to certain places. ECW immediately raided TNA, bringing in AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, and then, defied SmackDown!s wishes and brought in Samoa Joe, they also brought in other talent (full list will be in ECWrestlingNews.com report)Wednesday rolled along, and it was time for the first ECW TV show in 6 years. WWe allowed ECW to use their production team for the Taping, and also lent a few of their road agents for match support, and possible ECW wrestlers were backstage. ================================================ brings you ECW Hardcore TV from a sold out Hammerstein Ballroom, make sure you refresh your web page ever 5 minutes for up to the minute reports on ECW Hardcore TV! Early reports tell us that Billy Kidman is backstage tonight, no word on wether he is there for a tryout, or any contract negotiations, however we do know that Torrie Wilson is backstage too, and is expected to be joining the ECW brand sometime this week. ================================================ Paul Heyman is in the ring, he addresses the crowd, thanks them for coming, and tells them that tonight is the first of many Extreme shows. He runs down a few matches for us, and we are told that the 7ft 500lbs Big Show will face off one on one against SmackDown! draft pick Kurt Angle in a Hardcore Shoot Fight, and also that tonights Main Event will see many stars that weren't at One Night Stand fight in a Hardcore Battle Royal for the ECW TV Title! ================================================ The first match of the night (not sure on whether this will actually be broadcasted) was between two new ECW youngsters, British "Young Lion" Kid Richie, facing off against former School friend NDP, these are two workers that Davide Simeone brought to ECW after watching both men perform whilst at a 3CW show in Billigham, England. Pretty good back and forth matchup, with Richie landing his 450 splash, and also a few nice looking Headscissors before the "Hardcore" side of this high flying matchup was introduced by NDP, he hit a few chairshots to Richie's head, and then followed it up with a BackCracker variation, this lead to Richie screaming in agony, only to be picked up in a Full Nelson hold, and then span to the canvas face first, we believe this is the Spinning Face Buster, the move Simeone used throughout his illustrious career. As much as this was a match between two unknowns, their chemistry and will to do anything in and out of the ring really got the crowd behind them. ================================================ Yoshihiro Tajiri, who signed a written contract extension prior to the taping, took on Little Guido in an old school ECW match, reliving their matches of old, and this really went down well with the crowd, lots of chants for Tajiri throughout, and he ended up finishing this contest off with a brutal Buzzsaw Kick which could be heard throughout the Ballroom. ================================================ We cut to the back and see Tommy Dreamer (loud pop) stood in Heyman's office, he tells of his lust to get back into his old ECW ways, and demands a match with Justin Credible, he says he really ones to break a Singapore Cane over Credible's head, Heyman interrupts and says why not hit him with 2? or maybe 3? hell go as far as 10 or mare if you want! Dreamer looks excited by the thought of the many Singapore Canes he can have, only for Heyman to cut him off, he says he isn't going to get that match (loud boos) unless he beats a returning ECW star next week, Dreamer asks who it is, and Heyman says it's bWo member Big Stevie Cool. ================================================ Back from the confectionery stands and we see "The New Pitbulls" Jamie Noble and Kid Kash barking their way to the ring, Axl Rotten (who was luckily kept on after No Showing Raw 2 weeks before ONS) and Balls Mahoney came to the ring and were immediately beaten down, after several attempts at turning the match around, Axl and Balls fell to a double Powerbomb/Clothesline from New Pitbulls. Both teams are looking good, and you have to like their chances at taking the titles at the next PPV. ================================================ The promised match of SmackDown! Draft Kurt Angle and recent "jumpee" Big Show was up next, this was no ordinary match by all means, Kurt Angle having problems grounding Show in this Hardcore Shoot fight, Show ended up lifting Angle for a Chokeslam, only for him to lose his gripping, and allow Angle to trip him into the Angle Lock for the victory. ================================================ Rob Van Dam, the New ECW Heavyweight Champion, defeated former tag team partner Sabu with a Van Terminator to retain his title, this was the Match of the Night, and really set the fans up for the Hardcore Battle Royal that was up next. RVD took the House mic and made he let all the fans know that he was pleased to be the RVD of old, and that he wanted them to know that the title will be his for a hell of a long time! ================================================ The Main Event was the 15 man Hardcore Battle Royal to determine the new ECW Television Champion, there was no favourite, the crowd popped big for Tommy Dreamer when he entered, and as soon as Justin Credible made his way down, Dreamer left the ring and attacked him with his Singapore Cane, with Credible wearing the proverbial Crimson Mask, he was taken to the back to be checked on, and as we were down to three left in the ring, Terry Funk, CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer, fans were all rooting for Dreamer or Funk to take the victory, the Funker tried his best to beat down Punk, but he lost the battle and was eliminated, Dramer immediately attacked Punk and had him almost out when a stumbling Credible made his return and pulled Dreamer over the top for the elimination, as Credible came in, Punk went for a clothesline, missed, and was met with a devastating Superkick to send him over the top, Justin Credible won the ECW TV title, much to the shock of the crowd. Dreamer then told Credible that this victory he got was all the more sweeter for him, because at the PPV, he'll take Credible's title from him! ================================================ Backstage News and Notes from ECW Hardcore TV ECW officials are said to be very happy with how the show went, and also are delighted with how NDP and Kid Richie did in the opening fight, good things can only come from this for the youngsters. Earlier in the report we told you that Billy Kidman and Torrie Wilson were backstage, apparently that was not all, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels were also backstage and have apparently signed ECW contracts, as mentioned on ECW.com, Kurt Angle will be facing a mystery opponent, and many backstage have the feeling that this is where AJ Styles will make his debut. Foreigners and ECW always did mix, and apparently Davide Simeone wants this tradition to continue, Mexican El Nieto Del Santo has joined, he may be sent to a development camp or could appear as a Rey Mysterio impersonist if Heyman's offer to bring Rey to ECW is rejected. Jushin Thunder Lyger, currently on a PPA contract with TNA and NJPW has agreed to join ECW aswell, many believe he could be thrown straight into the deep end and appear on next weeks Hardcore TV in some capacity. WWE were told of ECW's plans to sign up some of their former talent, Christy Hemme, fresh off signing for TNA decided to join ECW in a managerial role, and Travis (Tyson) Tomkoopted to join ECW aswell, he is apparently going to be used in a bodyguard position, but may be given a decent push if he impresses. Fans will be pleased to know that ECW have signed officials to contracts, while Brian Hebner and Tim White worked the last show prior to signing contracts, they are now full time ECW officials, and are expected to be joined by two more in the very near future. After news broke out that ECW had agreed deals with ROH, IPW, and IWS to become their parent company, ECW head booker Davide Simeone decided to bring in many more acquisitions, English star Jody Fleisch is expected to be sent to IPW in Iceland so he can stay close to his British home, he will be followed by fellow Englishman Nigel McGuinness. Petey Williams, Chris Sabin, Elix Skipper, Shark Boy, Bryan Danielson and Jimmy Yang all agreed ROH development deals, they are expected to be used soon however. Chuck Palumbo, Sean O'Haire and Matt Bloom (former Albert and A-Train) have agreed deals, Bloom is awaiting character details for his debut, and O'Haire and palumbo are said to be eager to debut, although a short stint in the development teritories to freshen up may be asked of them. ECW officials have told NDp they have brought in Angel Williams to be his manager, he is said to be pleased with this, as he does believe his mic skills do need toning up, and by having a manager he can have someone be the mouth piece for him until he freshens up his on mic charisma. Torrie Wilson was signed to a ECW contract at the tapings, she apparently liked what she saw, and is definately delighted by the prospect that husband Billy Kidman maybe brought in aswell. We found out that Big Show doesn't really have a role in ECW, the giant is said to be upset by this as he moved from Raw for a challenge, Officials have noted that they have signed Abyss from TNA, and they have pitched an idea to Big Show about the two fueding. And finally in talent additions, Simeone didn't want to upset the loyal fans that turned up, and announced that he had recieved signed contracts, from all three members of the Dudley Boyz, and the Man Beast Rhino, all are expected to appear either next week, or at the big ppv at the end of the month. ECW brought in 3 new road agents this week, RoH head booker Gabe Sapolsky was hired on a PPA contract, many people believe that RoH's development deal may have been included in the contract offered to Sapolsky. Tony Garea was appointed to the booking team, and Pat Patterson was brought into both a Road Agent position, and a place on the booking team. ================================================ News from around the Wrestling World. WWE: Raw Raw released Roddy Piper from his PPA contract, the Hall of Famer was released in the massive Raw roster cull on the opening two days of July. Following Piper out of Raw was Road Agent and Fabulous Freebird Michael Hayes, Bruce Pritchard, Head of Talent Relations John "Johnny Ace" Laurinaitis, former Ring Announcer and Hall of Famer Mean Gene Okerlund, Raw Creative Team Member Court Bauer, Road Agents Sgt. Slaughter and Gerald Brisco, and from on screen talent, Torrie Wilson was dropped to ECW, Maria was released from her announcing contract, and Jonathan Coachman was removed from his Authoritive position. On the signing s front however, Raw beat both SmackDown! and ECW to bring in Mark Copani (Formerly Muhammed Hassan) and brought in Jeff Hardy beating off SmackDown! who were understood to have wanted to pair the Hardyz up again after MNM's recent split. They also bolstered their Womens division with the "Female Undertaker" Nina Oscars, known as Dynamyte in Jersey All Pro, her huge wage demands led to her release, after negotiations with ECW failed, Raw swooped and broguht her in, she is expected to go straight after Mickie James' title. WWE: SmackDown! SmackDown! definately didn't have as much activity as Raw, seeing them only sign talent. First through the door was former WWE manager Jim Cornette, this was seen as a shock move due to Cornette's conduct last year whilst head booker in OVW. He was closely followed by NWA Champion Christian, TNA are understandably upset by this, as they now look for a new NWA champ. 3 more risktaking additions were Marcus "Buff" Bagwell, "The Stuff" is no longer as he was during WCW, and the signing of him is somwething many current SmackDown! stars are closely watching. Savio Vega returned to WWE, he was brought in to replace Taz, who moved onto ECW prior to One Night Stand. And finally, Rikishi returned to SmackDown!, after a spell as on screen Authority in Italy's promotion Nu Wrestling. he is expected to be teamed up with Scotty once again.

July Week 2 Having seen how succesful the ECW return was last week, Simeone and Heyman decided that they should be st utilise their Development territories, Ring of Honour was quite the scoop, and so, it was decided that they would hold all technical talent that ECW would not be using, the likes of Joe, Danielson etc were already there, and ECW felt if anyone would be used to fued with Angle, then a technical worker would be needed. They next looked at Internation Wrestling Syndicate, based up north in Canada, IWS was known as a violent promotion, and ECW wanted to have their share of hardcore highflyers, and having already sent Shannon Moore up there, it was suggested that maybe El Nieto Del Santo join him due to creative not having any debut schedule set for him. Finally Icelandic Pro Wrestling, this was ECW's European Hardcore base, Fleisch, McGuinness, JD Morgan and Marat Khoklov were the 4 European workers that Simeone had agreed upon to work out there, and he hoped that by having them closer to their homes it could help them with their development. More signees were discussed, Heyman wanted a good size roster, and Simeone wanted to make the most from Development camps, Gabe Sapolsky, who wasn't usually present at these meetings had stopped in, and offered Ring of Honour as the primary base for new talent, the ECW board were suprised by the generosity, especially as noone believed that RoH would stay as a child company for very long. Heyman got a phone call from Vince on the Monday prior to Hardcore TV tapings, and was told by McMahon that both Channel 5 and Bravo had expressed interest in airing a one hour slot from the beginning of July, Heyman, obviously thrilled agreed that from July, we would see ECW Overload appear on the two channels. ECW was already starting to take a new shape, 2 tv deals, their own stars, schedule and PPV carriers, more fans coming to shows than Raw and SmackDown! and had taken top talent from TNA, and with TNA being without some top stars after Raw and SmackDown! again raided them, Vince's Three Promotion Promotion seemed to be working brilliantly. Chad Collyer, who was expected to replace Dean Malenko after he opted to stay in retirement and stay with the WWE SmackDown! brand, agreed to take over as head booker of a different company, leaving ECW only 3 days after signing a written contract, Heyman was extremely pissed off by this, and demanded an explanation! Collyer could only say that his need to be a booker was the only motivation he needed to leave, Heyman promptly told him to get out of his Company, and never return to ECW again! ================================================ presents ECW Hardcore TV from the sold out Hammerstein Ballroom As last week, Billy Kidman is again backstage at the tapings tonight, still no word on whether he has been signed to an ECW contract or not. Also backstage tonight are Abyss, Rhino, Blue Meanie and Angel Williams, all, as reported last week, have been signed to contracts, and are expected to appear in some capacity and the next Hardcore TV show. ================================================ Fans at the Ballroom are being treated to a Pre Show match tonight, NDP going one on one with El Neito Del Santo, presumably before Santo goes off to IWS for development. NDP took control of this match, dominating with his Technical based style, he got to ****y with Del Santo towards the end, and, ultimately it cost him the match, Del Santo picking up the victory by hitting a Hurricanrana onto a chair that positioned between the middle and top turnbuckle. ================================================ Immediately after the Welcoming Pyro and music, we were taken to the back, where we see Justin Credible talking with Stevie Richards, they seemingly agree on something, and then barge into a locker room, Tommy Dreamer is standing there, and immediately gets attacked, he manages to crawl away towards the shower area, and then re-emerges with a Singapore Cane, running his attackers towards the ring! Tommy Dreamer chased Credible and Richards into the ring and the bell was rung, instantly Dreamer took the cane to Richards, busting him open in the process, Credible did get involved every now and then, and this lead to Stevie managing to get a good 5 minute offense, the final few minutes were back and forth chair shots, until Dreamer managed to take an advantage, Credible entered the ring and went for a SuperKick but inadvertedly hit Stevie! Dreamer struck Credible with a chairshot to send him out of the ring, and then hit the Spicoli Driver on Richards for the win, and a match against Justin Credible for the TV title at ECW Heatwave! ================================================ Next up was a Fatal 4 Way tag match to determine who would to the finals of the Tag Title tournement, Doring and Roadkill were out first, closely followed by FBI, then out came Axl and Balls, and finally, surprisingly out to alot of cheers, the New Pitbulls. The match was very even throughout, and, it looked as though the New Pitbulls were going to win after hitting not one, not two, but 4 Powerbomb/Clotheslines in succession, however, just as they went for the cover, the Dudley Boys, Buh Buh Ray and Devon, came down and attacked TNP, the match was halted, and then all the teams stood off against one another, the 4 teams teamed up to attack the Dudleys, which led to the returning duo to flee through the crowd to the back. ================================================ Kurt Angle's match was up next, and many people were awaiting to see if the reports were true, was AJ Styles going to be angle's mystery opponent? The answer is yes, Styles is here in ECW, and he has Torrie Wilson by his side (I'm guessing this squashes all the rumours of Billy Kidman being signed then!), and he instantly hit it off with Angle, great mix of styles, no pun intended, Styles hitting a Styles Clash for a close pinfall, Angle hit the Angle slam for a very long 2 count, and then Styles hit the Spiral Tap and it seemed all but over, until of course Angle managed to kick out, withStyles shocked, Angle played possum, and then hooked the ankle into the Angle Lock for the victory, this was by far the match of the night, and i wouldn't be surprised to see this turn into a healthy fued. ================================================ Travis Tomko faced the unlikely task of beating Big Show, Show dominated the match, until that is the arena went dark, when the lights returned we saw Big Show down on the canvas covered in blood, Tomko quickly crawled into the cover for the victory, as Tomko got up to leave, someone said over the PA system that next week he will face up to Big Show, and that at the PPV, we'll see both of them go one on one. ================================================ We were told that the next match would be for the right to face Rob Van Dam at Heatwave for the ECW World championship. Out first was CM Punk, after lasting all the way to the end of last weeks TV Title Hardcore Battle Royal, his inclusion tonight is no real surprise. Masato Tanaka followed Punk, and he was followed by Mike Awesome. Christopher Daniels made his way to the ring, much to the surprise of the Ballroom crowd, and after him, Jushin Lyger! Rob Van Dam made his way to ringside for commentary. The Japanse star took on everyone, except of course the 6th man in this match, no one knew who it was, or why they weren't in the ring when the bell had rung. The match took a different course after the 5 minute mark, which each worker getting their own amount of offense in, we were treated to the final particiant of this match at the 11 minute mark, The Sandman came to the ring, beer in one hand, Cane in the other, and Cigerette in mouth, he entered the ring and immediately took the 5 men down with his Cane, before Lyger hit his Brainbuster on him, Lyger almost had the cover until Punk intervened, however Punks interferance caused Lyger to hit another BrainBuster, this time on Punk, for the victory, and the right to face RVD at Heatwave! ================================================ As RVD was leaving the announce table, Heyman came out and congratulated Lyger, and told Van Dam that he had a tough challenge at Heatwave, however, he's not done for the night, he may have seen his opponent for the PPV, but he hasn't seen his opponent for tonight, with that, Heyman introduced Billy Kidman, who seemingly must have agreed a deal with Heyman/Simeone before the tapings tonight! The match itself was a brutal encounter, Kidman dishing out a very offensive attack with barbed wire and steel chairs, RVD managed to turn the tides of the match though and ended up hitting a Van Daminator, with Kidman kicking out, Van Dam went up top and hit a HUGE Five StarFrogsplash onto Kidman who had a chair on his chest, RVD managed to crawl over for the cover, much to the delight of the crowd. ================================================ ECWrestlingNews.com We have heard reports that ECW were in talks with TNA's Shane Douglas about returning to ECW, the first ever Extreme Championship Wrestling World champion was wanting one last go in ECW, but was asking too much of Heyman, and Simeone stepped in to cancel talks, explaining that he didn't see Douglas as being a major player in the New ECW. To follow up on our previous report, Big Show was pitched the idea of a fued between himself and Abyss, with Abyss not expected to be at a Main Event level in ECW, Show is understandabley not happy about the proposal, however he is happy to roll with it if ECW decide to take that route. To further the above topic more, Marat Khoklov, a 7ft Russian Monster, was brought in and sent to ECW's European Development yesterday, the European worker was apparently set to fued with Abyss should Show or Abyss not agree to their proposed fued. British Brawler JD Morgan has agreed a contract with ECW, after being recommended by Jody Fleisch, Morgan has gone to IPW to work on his Hardcore wrestling, and is expected to be one of the stars of IPW before he is called up to the main roster. As noted last week, Samoa Joe was said to have signed a contract, he was offered a deal but did not sign until hearing AJ Styles' and Chris Daniels' opinion on ECW, the fact that he has signed a contract means that he was impressed, and he will be sent to RoH to keep his technical wrestling active until he is brought up, possibly to fued with Kurt Angle. Speaking of Kurt Angle, we have been told that AJ Styles may not be the mystery opponent in Angle's match on Thursday, TNA are believed to have told Styles that he will be with them until the Friday, and ECW are doing everything they can to get Styles out of his contract for the match. SmackDown! were dealt a huge blow by ECW this week, after putting on a great match against Gregory Helms at the last SmackDown! tapings, ECW have offered, and had agreed, a contract that will bring Moore to ECW, he is expected to head to IWS to develop his Highflying Hardcore skills. Billy Kidman has not officially signed an ECW contract yet, he is reportedly going to be backstage again at tomorrow's tapings, however, should a deal be signed today, he may appear on the show itself. ECW's Blue Guy the Blue Meanie was signed to a contract this past week, he is expected to team up with Stevie Richards and reform bWo, however with Nova (Simon Dean) opting to stay on SmackDown!, bWo may be joined by a new member. On the none wrestling side of business, Jack Lanza, of Blackjack's fame joined ECW as a road Agent, Mike Tenay joined ECW to help bolster their Announce Team, and Diamond Dallas Page was signed to a Managerial contract, however was sent to IWS to freshen up. In ECW TV news, McMahon is said to be happy with the current number of viewers Hardcore TV has had, for the past two fridays ECW has had double the viewers SmackDown! has had, on Sci-Fi taking 1,802,443 the first week, and 1,806,266 this week. And on Sky Sports they have taken 714,161 and 708,170, which isn't too bad given ECW is not as big in England as it is in America. ================================================ WWErestling News WWE: Raw Raw shocked many today as they announced that Scott Steiner, former Raw worker and current TNA star, would be rejoining them, Steiner did not enjoy the best of runs his last time with the company, and many beleive that this is a very risky signing, even if it is to tryand beat off TNA. John Heidenreich has returned to the WWE after beign released last year, he is expected to be put into a Midcarder role, and a possible fued with Kane is not out of the question. WWE: SmackDown! Dory Funk Jr. joined SmackDown! this week after a weeks trial as Road Agent, insiders told us that he had dramatically improved some of the matches and he signed the deal on Tuesday.

We have been told that Channel 5 in England, and Bravo! in america and Canada have decided to agree a deal with ECW to start running a one hour show in July, we have been given the name of the program as Overload! and we can show you the Show's "Logo" We have also been given the Heatwave PPV poster, not as "Extreme" as we would expect from ECW, however they are part of WWE, and this iseems to follow in WWE's gimmick posters. As you can see, the poster doesn't really offer much spoilers outside of the two confirmed matches, we're unsure on wether this will be changed at all when more matches are announced.
Just to clear up any misunderstanding if there is, i am only runnign ECW, i don't control WWE: Raw or WWE: SmackDown! they are ran by the AI. In response to david2006efc, the reasonign ebhind the TNA signings is because i'm trying to stick within storylines, after Raw and SmackDown" signed away a few TNA stars, i opted to follow suite and make it a storyline, hence the Vince wanting to destroy TNA by any means possible, the Three Promotions rather than brands could be seen as the new "Big Three" in Vince's mind, so the signing of TNA (who have gone internationally and so are signing up alot of written contracts) stars shows that he sees them now as competitors and wants them to be buried.
AJ Styles vs Kurt Angle is a dream feud and so would be Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle i hope what you put in to your results is true that when Samoa Joe gets called up he might start a feud with Kurt Angle. The Justin Credible vs Tommy Dreamer feud is looking like it could be a good long feud. In the news section you said there might be a new member of the BWO because Nova is staying on Smackdown. I have been trying to rack my brains of who it might be but i have no idea. I hope it is a shocker though. Good work overall.

OOC The Ego: The signing of TNA's stars was simply to follow storylines, i had no intention of signing away the likes of Styles, Daniels Joe etc, but after Smackdown took Cage away, and then Raw swooped for a few of the stars, i decided it would bmake a good storyline, a different way of killing off a promotion rather than through ratings etc. david2006efc: I'm pleased with the way i brought Style's in, and the potential fued with Angle is definately something i want to do, problem is they're both face, you'll see in my next post (which will be up soon) that i've thrown Daniels into the mix due to him being a heel, just to try and make it easier to push one of the two workers into the heel role of the singles fued. as far as bWo goes, i honestly haven't a clue who to bring in as the third member, Shark Boy, purely becasue of the fact he wears blue, and Al Snow are two people i had in mind as new members, but it's just wether they would really rit in a new bWo or not, but i was thinking of expanding bWo into a 5man stable at the most, just so i can fued them with the FBI for a while, because really, at the moment, apart from the mini fued with Justin Credible that will be running alongside JC's Dreamer fued, i haven't got anything for bWo :( ZMAN: TNA have actually brought in a few good workers, not fantastic, but they can be seen as replacements for those departed, i've started to add in a few TNA updates in the next two weeks writings, simply because now the signing/releasing is over more or less, i have very little to report on WWE wise. Also, i stole Shark Boy :D

July Week 3 After receiving the news of how Hardcore TV was doing in the ratings, Heyman and Simeone knew that it may not be too long before ECW broke away form the realms of WWE, something Heyman had longed for ever since the ECW "brand" was suggested. With ECW doing double what SmackDown! was achieving, Vince decided to call another meeting, this time however with all three promotions bookers and owners. He wanted to find a way to help push the ratings for SmackDown! up to a more competitive amount, as every network they were on, they were falling behind prior expectations, there was a sense that if SmackDown! did not do well in the upcoming month (TV Scheduling month), then SmackDown! may not be renewed. Raw was a different story, having taken a few new big name workers on board, they were getting good numbers, USA were pleased, they were at the similar level to ECW on Sky Sports, and all semed ok, however, Vince wanted more, given that ECW was beating the two other promotions,Vince looked to Simeone and Heyman for help, Heyman suggested elevating younger workers into the main event scene with victories over the bigger names such as Hulk Hogan and Steve Austin, Simeone offered his support on the subject, and noted thaty some OVW guys should be brought up to help establish new stars. The meeting ended with a breif discussion of ECW's schedule, with a new show already signed, Heyman and Simeone had to decide upon something to help push the shows to greater heights, a subtle suggestion that wouldn't offere too much change was one simple move, bring Simeone back to television! Heyman discussed the option of Simeone returning a couple of days after the meeting was held, Simeone said he had wanted to make a return to the indy's just before he was called for the lead bookers job, after all, at 36 years old, he wasn't really at retirement age yet. They decided that seeing as though Heyman was a heel Authority, that maybe Simeone should be a face Authority, meaning they could challenge each other on the mic, and, after having thrown around a few more ideas it was set, as of next week, Simeone would be an on screen character, but, he could end up being more than that should the opportunities arise. The two discussed the success that had gone on at last weeks show, the debut's of AJ Styles and Billy Kidman being held in high regard, the fact that they have 2 solid matches already booked for Heatwave, and that by next week, all the matches should be booked in and be a very good card. Of course though there was some concerns, what if all the matches are not all set? Some people may be injured at a house show before hand, what if a finish has to be changed in a Number One Contenders match, the usual concerns were thrown around, but Simeone was confident, Heatwave would be a success, and would help push ECW further away from the WWE mould. ================================================ presents Hardcore TV from a sold out ECW Arena As always the backstage report, Vampiro, who is expected to be a member of The Brood which will be brought back after Sci-Fi wanted a Vampire-esque group in ECW, is backstage, no word on whether any other possible Brood members have been suggested as of yet though. Also backstage is Rudy Charles, he is here to sign an ECW contract to be their third official, ECW are apparently in talks with former WCW official Mark Johnson and former ECW official John Finnegan about becoming the final officials required. ================================================ Tonght's crowd got a pre show match, just like last weeks at the Ballroom, and tonight's was alot better than last weeks. Kid Richie, the youngster from England, took on the Hardcore legend that is the Funker, Terry Funk, surprisingly Funk managed to move around the ring well in this match, and was able to succesfully do a few high spots too, but, after taking too long to hit the Moonsault, Kid Richie managed to take advantage, and a few chairshots later, we were seeing Richie hit is 450 Splash for the victory. For some reason unknown to us, Torrie Wilson accompanied Richie to the ring, they don't seem to work well off each other, but check our reports later for any update on this situation. ================================================ The show kicked off with Joey Styles, Taz and new announcer Mike Tenay all discussing what happened last week to Big Show, Tenay said the voice sounded familiar, but just couldn't pin it on anyone. ================================================ Justin Credible came to the ring with his TV title around his shoulder, he told the fans that he came back to ECW to do one thing, and that was to win titles, and kick some ass, he told Stevie Richards to come to the ring and appologise for losing to Tommy Dreamer last week, Richards pinned the blame on Justin, saying if he hadn't have interfered, it would be Richards vs Credible at Heatwave, Credible knocked Richards to the floor and signalled for the bell to be called. This inpromptu match was a slow starter, but after both guys found their feet this turned into a very violent contest, several different weapons were broken over each others heads, and it didn't look like we'd have a clear cut winner. Richards eventually fell to a Superkick, but managed to kick out, Tommy Dreamer then ran to the ring and distracted Credible, who walked right into a StevieKick! As JC stumbled around the ring, Dreamer caught him with the Spicolli Driver, and Richards had the cover, Credible kicked out at 2 and 7/8s, much to the shock of the crowd, Dreamer then got inadvertedly knocked out of the ring, and JC hit That's Incredible for the win. JC wasn't done however, after disposing of Dreamer with a few chair shots, Credible went straight back at Richards, however, The Blue Meanie made his return, and the save for Richards! ================================================ Travis Tomko, who picked up that unlikely victory over Big Show last week was to take on the returning Rhino, and this match was quite the shocker, Rhino and Tomko actually had some good chemistry here, and, after Rhino missed the Gore, Tomko took the victory with an SRP. ================================================ Next up was a 5 way singles match, with a very strange concept, the person that was pinned, his team would NOT be involved in the 4 way tag title match at Heatwave, what made this even more surprising is, Spike Dudley was representing Buh Buh and Devon, rather than a team of his own! Spike managed to get the win after a Dudley Dog on Roadkill, much to the anger of Danny Doring who was ringside to offer his support, the match itself was not so good, none had any clear cut chances to take the victory, and had the Dudleys not interfered, Spike may not have got the victory. This means that at Heatwave we'll see Dudley Boys Buh Buh Ray and Devon take on Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney, "The New Pitbulls" Jamie Noble and Kid Kash, and "FBI" Little Guido and Tony Mamaluke for the ECW Tag Team Titles ================================================ Big Show made his way to the ring and after cutting what was actually quite a good promo for him, he demanded that we see who his attacker was last week, the lights went dark as l;ast week, however, this time we saw Abyss standing face to face with Big Show, Show went for a Chokeslam, but Abyss managed to lift Show up into the Black Hole Slam. We must note that Big Show was wearing a ridiculously huge bandage on his head, wether or not this is due to his blading in the dark last week or not, we are unsure. ================================================ Kurt Angle once again faced off against a possible "Fuedee", this time in Christopher Daniels, their match wasn't upto the same standards as Styles' match last week, however it was still a good showing, AJ Styles managed to distract Kurt Angle halfway through the match, and allowed former tag partner Daniels to hit the BME, but it wasn't enough, Angle was then set up for the Angels Wings, but just before Daniels managed to lift him, Angle span out keeping ahold of Daniel's left arm, and hit an Angle Slam for the victory. ================================================ Dudley Boys came out to their old music to mark their returns to ECW, after finding out they would infact be in the Title matchup at Heatwave, Buh Buh and Devon toyed with the makeshift tag team of Chad Malenko (Collyer) and CM Punk for roughly ten minutes before putting both opponents through tables for the victory. The Dudleys then went onto hype themselves up, and say that at heatwave, they were taking back their titles. ================================================ In the Main Event, and what a main event it was, we saw current ECW World Champion Rob Van Dam take on Kurt Angle's mystery opponent from last week, AJ Styles. Their matchup proved to be a nonstop highflying contest, with both men using ladders and chairs throughout. Styles managed to hit a hurricanrana off the top of the ladder onto a chair on theoutside in the spot of the match, however, after Lyger got involved in the match, the momentum just shifted immediately to RVD, the interferance helped push RVD on, and, after hitting a Van Daminator on Lyger, RVD took Styles down with his triple kick combo, then went up top and hit a 5 Star Frogsplash for the victory. ================================================ ECW agreed contracts for a few more developmental talent, Jeffrey Dupree, older brother of WWE's Rene, agreed to head to IWS for training, no news on wether he will be a part of the ECW brand or not as of yet. Necro Butcher, someone Davide Simeone wanted to bring in to help develop someof the younger workers has been signed, and will be helping out at IWS, and Steve Blackman joins Mikey Whipwreck in helping out at ECW's European Development camp IPW. Big Sal E. Graziano has joined ECW, and will be part of FBI, expect him to be the manager of the current members. Vampiro has agreed to to join ECW and be part of the Sci-Fi planned Vampire group. Billy Blade has also been rumoured to have joined, the worker is someone Simeone decided upon to join the Vampire group, along with Kevin "Mordecai" Fertig, who, as of yet, has not responded to the contract offered to him. Austin Aries, released by TNA at the beginning of the month has agreed upon joining ECW, he is expected to play some part in either the Vampire style group, or will be forming his own group with some of the younger workers. As noted previously, Rudy Charles has agreed a deal to become an ECW official, Mark Johnson and Mike Finnegan have also been offered deals, and, as far as we are aware, they have verbally agreed to them. ECW Hardcore TV for this week did well once again on the Sci-Fi network, bringing in 1,825,482 viewers, Sky Sports, who are said to be happy with ECW's ratings, pulled in 716,494 viewers. ================================================ Not too much news to report this week, WWE:Raw have still done well in the tv ratings, however WWE:SmackDown! again doesn't do well, reports ar circulating fast that they could be dropped from TV, and only be left with Velocity if they do not negotiate elsewhere fast. WWE:Raw held a new PPV this week, it was called Day Zero, and didn't really offer much of a good card in all honesty. Day Zero Results Kenny and Harry Smith beat Johnny and Trevor Murdoch Hulk Hogan beatMikey Snitsky beat Sonny Siaki, Umaga and Steve Austin Rob Conway beat Eugene Mark Copani beat Mitch Shelton beat Master to retain IC Mickie James beat Trinity to retain Womens Victoria and Trish beat Lita and Damaja V2 beat Nitro and Cade to retain Tag Orton and HHH beat Kane and HBK Cena and Dupree beat Edge and Carlito As you can see, Kane's WWE Title has not on the line tonight, and he didn't even pick up a victory, WWE seem to be pushing Kane as an Underdog champion, which is hard to believe due to his sheer size. ================================================ Well, in what may be the first of many reports, TNAWrestlingNews ha arrived and we offer you the latest in TNA action. Michael Buffer has been signed to a full time contract with TNA, Buffer was broguht in as a temporary replacement, and after impressing at No Surrender, he ws offered the deal full time. John Hugger (Stamboli) has been signed to a contract, TNA beat off ECW to bring in the former FBI member, and he is expected to debut once he has finished off prior commitments. Former WWE Tough Enough competitor Daniel Rodimer was finally given a big break this week, he joined TNA on a written deal, and as was expected, he debuted at last nights No Surrender. Along with Daniel Rodimer, Matt Morgan also debuted on TNA television last night, after also agreeing a deal yesterday morning, Morgan had been discussed as the possible replacement to Abyss in the Big Show fued, however it seems ECW cooled interest. finally Aaron "Jesus" Aguilera and Barry "Bull/B2" Buchanan signed for TNA this week, both have a few prior commitments left to fulfill, and then will be debuting on iMPACT! or XPlosion soon. TNA No Surrender Reuslts Kyle Graham beat Daniel Rodimer and James Storm Jackie beat Gail Brian Lawler beat Matt Morgan and Raven Glen Gilberti and Andrew Martin beat BG James and Ron Killings Chad Graham and Chris Harris beat Chris Daniels and Monty Brown Shane Douglas beat Kevin Nash Orlando Jordan beat Hiratima Matt Wiese beat Steve Williams Jerry Lynn beat Chavo to retain X Division Jeff Jarrett beat Kip James to retain NWA World Kid Lightnin' and Flash Majik beat Italian Stalion and Animal

Another dream match again this time between RVD + AJ Styles. I think the Dudley's or the New Pitbulls will become tag champs at Heatwave. I am not in to the Abyss vs Big Show feud at present but it's only just started so hopefully it will develop in to something good. I also find this really good because you are posting the news from WWE Raw + Smackdown + TNA to.

I like how you cover the other promotions. I know I've heard stories of the AI doing some whacky things so it should be interesting to see how you explain them in the future. Making me wish I had dunnit.

July Week 4 Heyman and Simeone sat at their desks and thought pf possible ways to debut Simeone, he couldn't just be introduced as the man that books ECW, they had to find the right way. They opted for him ackowledging the FBI, who would be joined by Simeone's "protege" as it were, NDP, he would immediately rip into them telling them that they are not welcome in ECW, and that they offered no truwe representation of Italy, this in turn would lead to a mini fued, and then a match, possibly against NDP, at August's PPV. It was all set then, Simeone vs FBI, he could use whatever talent he wanted as a weapon against FBI, and it would lead to a return to the ring for Simeone, something he had wanted a long time. Please with how things were going with ECW Hardcore TV, Heyman opted that on the Thursday ECW would tape Overload! instead, and then tape Hardcore TV on the Wednesday, the regular house show on a Tuesday would be moved to Monday's, meaning that only on PPV weekend would the workers have to go 3 days straight. ECW were happy that they had finally settled on a first roster, their first month back was complete, and they were as strong as they could get, of course now WWE did not want to give any of their WWE:Raw or WWE:SmackDown! workers to ECW, in the hopes that they could keep their primary shows strong, but SmackDown! really was fighting a losing battle, the additions of Rikishi, Christian, Buff Bagwell all hadn't worked for the better, Stephanie had booked Sylvan as the United States champion, but he had immediately hit John Cena type heat, the fans didn't want to see him as champion, something drastic had to be down to save SmackDown!, but noone knew what. Vince again called upon Heyman and Simeone's advise, they were told Vince had sent his road agents to RoH, DSW and OVW in the hopes to find someone to call up, but he said that the guys there weren't cut for the big ti9me yet, they needed more, The Great Khali offered little on SmackDown! and was pushed down into an Opening slot, Steve Keirn and Dean malenko followed Finaly out of retirement and became semi active workers, all this was to try and help save the sinking ship, whilst Raw enjoyed good times on Monday with the likes of Carlito, Masters and Shelton all pushing into Main Event slots, Vince still wanted to improve upon that, and asked to borrow some ECW talent, Simeone, knowing how this would turn out, tried negotiate a deal with Vince, if ECW sent workers to Raw and SmackDown!, then they too could pick and choose worekrs from the two promotions to help replace workers that had been lent out, McMahon decided against the deal but said he would push Raw ahead of ECW, he would beat them again, and that this was war! With the announcement on WWE.com telling all WWE fans they were at war with ECW, ECW and WWE both got more and more exposure, the fact that ECW was in effect killing off WWE's ratings made news outlets pick up verious stories from the past, and constantly dug at the McMahons saying they should leave WWE alone and just run with ECW. Heymans smile from last week seemingly grew alot bigger after reading the many articles published, but, he decided to make things settle down and not take too much away from ECW's performers, he would announce on ECW.com that they were not at war with anyone, but should someone try something, then they were in for one hell of a beating! Simeone on the other hand took to the finalising of the Heatwave card, he only had a few matches already confirmed (ECW title - RVD vs Lyger, TV - JC vs Dreamer, ECW Tag - 4 Way, Big Show vs Abyss) and knew they needed to announce more, Kurt Angle vs AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels was expected to be added, Rhino and Travis Tomko expected to appear on the showin some form, the Vampire Group was going to be debuted, and Simeone himself said he may well end up appearing in a match at the show, even if just as a guest referee! One thing was for sure, ECW Heatwave 2006 was going to be a fantastic PPV, if Simeone managed to finalise everything in time! ================================================ presents Hardcore TV from a sold out ECW Arena The usual backstage report, all we have of note right now is Austin Aries and Billy Blade, both are believed to appear in some sort at the Heatwave PPV this sunday. ================================================ Only the one preshow match again this week, NDP again going one on one with Kid Richie, the two youngsters definately have great chemistry together, and hopefully their matches will be broadcast live on TV for you to see what we do! NDP won this one with a Pizza Slice after Little Guido got involved, maybe NDP is part of FBI now? ================================================ Onot the show then, We see Billy Kidman already standing in the ring, as Tajiri makes his way with Christy, damn she's looking good tonight, anyways, Tajiri and Kidman lock up in the centre of the ring, but it isn't long before we see Kidman taking the advantage, after a few thumbs to the eye Tajiri is in serious trouble, Kidman strikes Tajiri in the left leg with a chair a couple time,s seemingly trying to take away Tajiri's strength, Kidman hits the Kid Krusher and goes up top, He calls for the Shooting Star Press, but Christy knocks him off the apron, Tajiri slowly makes his way over for the cover, and to the surprise of everyone, he gets the win! ================================================ Davide Simeone made his first appearance to ECW fans, he told the audience that although he was the head booker and backstage man here, he had grown tired of the FBI making a mokery of his homeland, he tells them he is ashamed of them and as he starts to say his next sentence, Big Guido comes down and attacks Simeone, he is closely followed by Sal E., and then the other mebers come down to help the assualt, CM Punk comes down and runs FBI off. ================================================ Abyss, wanting to show Big Show what he's up against at Heatwave, destroys Chad Malenko in under 5 minutes with the Blackhole Slam. ================================================ Paul Heyman walks out to the walkway and tells the fans that he had a ingenius idea, how about, this sunday, instead of seeign a match we've already seen in AJ Styles vs Kurt Angle (big pop) how about we make it a three way, with the winner having the chance to face off in a non-title match against the ECW World Champion whoever that may be? The fans cheers, and Heyman tells the fans that at Heatwave, it will be Styles vs Angle vs Christopher Daniels! ================================================ In the first of two 4 way matches tonight, Buh Buh Ray beat Axl, Jamie Noble and Little Guido, Buh Buh got the win after a Buh Buh Cutter on Noble. ================================================ Big Show, looking to send Abyss a return message that he would be no walk over at Heatwave, faced off against Chris Chetti, and beat him in under 5 minutes, after this match was over, Show got on the mic and told Abyss that he didn't want to wait until Sunday, he wanted him right NOW! with that a Casket, seemingly covered with Barbed Wire, was wheeled down, as Show went to inspect it, Abyss emerged, he tried to fight against Show, but Show grabbed him by the throat and went for a Chokeslam, Abyss managed to escape to the back. ================================================ bWo members Blue Meanie and Stevie Richards told the ECW faithful they were unhappy to tell them of Nova's decision to stay with WWE: SmackDown!, this led to **** Nova chants from the crowd, Meanie told the fans not to worry, because they had two surprises for the fans, tonight they would see one new member of bWo, and at the PPV, when they take on four members of The Brood, they will see the fourth man. ================================================ The Brood (Gangrel/Vampiro/Travis Tomko) beat bWo (Snow/Richards/Meanie) in what was both the worst, yet most entertaining match of the night. Vampiro got the win for The Brood after hitting the Nail on the Coffin to Al Snow ================================================ RVD came out and shot on Jushin Lyger, if their match together is anything like this promo, we're in for one hell of a treat! ================================================ Devon beat balls, Kash and Mamaluke with a Dudleyville Neckbreaker on Kash, based on the results tonight, the Dudleys look to be walking away with the tag straps at heatwave! ================================================ Christopher Daniels beat AJ Styles after hitting the last Rites, Styles went for a Styles Clash midway through the match, however Kurt Angle (Who was on commentary) distracted Styles which forced the momentum to switch in Daniels' favour. The matchup on sunday should be a good one, as there is alot of bad blood stirring between these three! ================================================ In a Champion/Challenger tag match, we saw Rob Van Dam and Tommy Dreamer teaming up against Jushin Lyger and justin Credible, this match was quite the encounter, with Dreamer using 7 singapore canes in the match! Dreamer hit the Spicolli Driver on Credible, as RVD went up top to get the victory with tremendously elevated 5 Star frogsplash After this match was over, the four men stared down their opponents for the PPV, before Credible and Lyger left the ring. ================================================ Mark Jindrak has sensationally quit WWE to join TNA, the former WCW tag team champion only recently returned to the company, and was said to be unhappy with his treatment by being shoved into Deep South Wrestling. This is yet another blow to WWE: SmackDown! who's problems seem to be going from bad to worse. Former WWE Light Heavyweight champion Brian "Grand Master Sexay" Lawler and former WWE Cruserweight champion Chavo Guerrero became the new NWA World Tag Champions, it was no surprise however, Raven has left TNA for WWE: Raw, and as co-holder of the Tag straps with Jerry Lynn, TNA had no choice but to find new champions. With the recent defects of Rudy Charles and Mark Johnson to ECW, TNA have hired WWC official Marty Rubalcaba, this can be seen as a stab back at WWE, as WWE oftenly use WWC for their future talent. ================================================ Many ECW development talent was in action on Wednesday night, International Wrestling Syndicate, ECW's Canadian development ground held IWS Bloodbath in front of 156 fans. Full Results list is below. To note further on last weeks report about Torrie Wilson accompanying Kid Richie to the ring, word is that Kid Richie is held in high regard with the ECW board, and there was talk of teaming him up with AJ Styles, with Styles now having a fued with Kurt Angle seemingly set in stone, don't be surprised to see Torrie no longer accompany Richie to the ring. Kevin Fertig has joined ECW, he could well debut at this Sunday's Heatwave PPV as part of The Brood. There are a few rumours flying around that bWo and The Brood will both have managers with them on Sunday, as you know, Chastity was the former bWo manager, so she may have been asked to appear, as for The Brood, we were originally told that Gangrel would not be a full time worker, and should Mordecai be a member of The Brood, then we may see Travis Tomko fill up the final Active workers slot. Again ECW Hardcore TV does well on Sci-Fi, this week drawing in 1,811,297 viewers, the fact that the numbers are around the 1.8 mark really does show that ECW is still the popular promotion it once was. Sky Sports however are having trouble drawig fans in, getting a dissapointing 709,780 viewers, however, this may change once ECW Overload! starts to air on Channel 5 in Britain. Ring Of Honor announced that they were dropping ECW as a parent company, sll of ECW's workers are to leave effect imediately, however ECW ROad Agent Gabe Sapolsky did try to strike a deal with ECW to keep on Jimmy Yang, who had just won the ROH World Title, Heyman and Simeone denied Saposlky's request, and told him to clear out his desk, as he was gone from ECW! With ECW having two alternative Development Camps, the talent out at RoH has been moved elsewhere, Petey Williams was sent up to Canada's IWS, where as the rest of the roster (Danielson/Sabin/Shark Boy/Joe/Skipper/Yang) were sent to IPW in Europe to help fill out the roster. ================================================ Coming Soon: July Week 4 Sunday - ECW Heatwave PPV All the news updates from the day, and new and notes from after the show went off the air!

ECW Heatwave PPV Day We're standing outside the Greenwalt Dome, and we are waiting to see which wreslters are arriving for the show tonight. Tajiri, Lyger and Tanaka have pulled up first, all are in a big rental car. Closely following them in are Billy Kidman and Torrie Wilson, with Kurt Angle on his own soon after. Abyss (with mask on) arrives with a man dressed in black covering his face, maybe he's the final member of bWo? or he could be the Brood's manager. Last to the Dome tonight is Tommy Dreamer with Beulah. Early reports tell us that the card still has not been finalised. ECW have outside on the advertisers board 2 more matches left to announce. One rumoured is Simeone and Punk vs FBI, although it is yet to be seen if Big Guido will make a wrestling appearance in ECW, or wether he will just be like Sal E. and be the groups backup. Expect RVD to come away with the title tonight, rumours have it that ECW's board (of which RVD is a member) want the title to stay on him for a while, with AJ Styles being a possible contender to take the belt from him, Kurt Angle is also an outside bet for the title. Abyss vs Big Show isn't expected to last too long, Abyss has been struggling to over come an injury he suffered whilst still at TNA and so the match will likely be a 10 minute or under win for Big Show. ECW Management are said to be unhappy with how the Abyss/Show fued has started, and are looking to end it by sending Abyss off to IWS for development. ECW are offering the Pre Show matchup of Billy Kidman vs Kid Richie vs Spike vs Tajiri free to everyone, once the matchup ends they will see a special message recorded by RVD telling them to order Heatwave if they want to see him retain his title. Chastity is the expected manager for bWo as previously reported, however there is still no word as to who The Brood's manager is, rumours are flying around that the man in Abyss' car was the manager, while other rumours are saying that Travis Tomko will be replacinjg Gangrel at the head of the group, and Gangrel will be the manager tonight. Finishes are still being changed as we type this, Aj vs Angle vs Daniels is the big changer at the moment, many want Angle going over here so they can set up angle vs RVD at the next PPV, but that will almost surely kills the Angle/Styles fued that ECW were going to go with. Putting Styles over would result in the same, only Daniels has no alternative baggage, however officials don't think Daniels would be the best person for the win in this matchup. The 4 way Tag Team matchup is expected to be won by the Dudleys. Justin Credible vs Tommy Dreamer may end in a draw/no contest, there's no decided winner as of yet, but this fued is expected to last for some time. ================================================ presents ECW Heatwave in front of 46,402 fans at the Greewalt Dome. Backstage at tonights PPV is Vince McMahon, not a surprise as is the first PPV of the new ECW. ================================================ The pre show match between Billy Kidman, Kid Richie, Spike and Tajiri was a classic, fans that haven't decided to buy the ppv should surely want to after this. The 4 men put on a very back and forth high flying batch, with them all getting their fair share of hardcore offensive in aswell. Richie hit the 450 on to Spike, who was holding a chair, Richie's momentum sent him into the path of Kidman's Shooting Star, who then turned straight into a devastating Buzzsaw Kick from Tajiri, who picked up the victory. ================================================ For those that had bought the PPV, they were greeted by Joey Styles, Taz and Mike Tenay, Styles hyped up how well RVD had been doing against AJ Styles and Kidman in recent weeks, Taz told Tenay to shut up, Mr PPV would have his hands full withLyger tonght, and wouldn't be surprised to see RVD lose, Tenay just ran down the card. ================================================ Masato Tanaka came to the ring, much to the surprise of the fans, and was followed by Mike Awesome, it seems we are having an ONS1 rematch here, Tanaka's arm was still taped up, and Awesome capitalized on that, attacking it at every little chance. Tanaka struggled to overcome Awesome, as he was hit with a huge Awesome Bomb from the top rope to the outside through a table, Awesome brought Tanaka back inside and showboated a little, which cost him big, Tanaka managed to find an opening and hit Awesome with a HUGE chairshot for the victory. ================================================ Blue World Order were out next, they had all 3 members out, and then told one guy to come out, the 4th member was hidden underneath a blue balaclava, Meanie then told the fans that they were given a manager for tonight, out came Chastity, who immediately whipped off the Balaclava to reveal SEAN O'HAIRE!!????? Sean O'Haire has become a member of bWo? Well, it's quite the scoop for bWo, and if O'Haire can fit in with them, then it looks to be a strong group they've put together, The Broods music hit, and they were led out by a Druid, Gangrel out first, closely followed by Billy Blade, Mordecai and Vampiro, Travis Tomko was out last. The bell rang for the match, and it appears as though Tomko is the manager, no no wait, he's leaving too, so it appears as though The Brood are without a manager! Blade and Richards start things off, and surprisingly, after only 3 minutes Blade is eliminated, Gangrel comes in, and after a few tags around, Richards goes out to Mordecai. Gangrel, O'Haire, and Meanie go out, and now we're left with 3, 2 Brood, one bWo, Snow manages to someone get to Head, and, after a vicious head but, Head eliminates Vampiro, that left us with just Mordecai vs Al Snow, Snow took the advantage of the two, until the Druid returned, Snow ignored him until he lifted his hood off, SINISTER MINISTER! Sinister Minister is here, he is The Brood's manager! Snow Momentarily got distracted after Chastity tried offering advice, Mordecai went for the Crucifix Powerbomb but Snow slipped out and managed to get a roll up for the win. ================================================ Davide Simeone makes his way out to the ring, he addresses the crowd and appologises for how easily beaten down he was at Hardcore TV, but tonight, you will see him get his revenge, because it will be Big Guido and NDP vs Himself, and CM Punk! ================================================ Time for the first ever Barbed Wire Casket match, Abyss is out first, they then wheel down the casket, which appears to be closed shut thanks to the barbed wire. Big Show then made his way down, stopping to look at the Casket, before getting in the ring. Abyss took the early advantage through the use of a chair, he managed to keep Show to a base levelk for the majority of this match, but, as expected, Big Show managed to turn the match in his favour, and after a brutal chokeslam onto the barbed wired casket, Show got the officials to open it up, and he chokeslammed Abyss right through the caskset, picking up the victory. ================================================ FBI's Big Guido came down to the ring with NDP on his shoulders, this guy really is a giant by the way, anyways, NDP takes the mic and start saying something in Italian, before CM Punk cuts him off with his entrance, Punk waits in the aisleway for Simeone to come down for his first match since July 1995! Simeone wastes no time and runs straight to the ring, hitting a huge big boot on Guido to knock him out of the ring, NDP looks at Simeone, and just charges at him, he went for a right hook, missed and got caught in the full nelson! Simeone spins him to the canvas, Simeone hits his first Spinning Face Buster in over 10 years! He gets the cover..1.....2......2 3/4! Guido gets backinto the ring to break up the cover. Punk is tagged in and we have Guido vs Punk right now, Big Guido hits a monsterous clothesline, followed by a chokeslam for what looked like a three count, but Punk just managed to get his shoulder up. Simeone gets back into the ring, he knocks Guido into NDP, making NDP the legal man, NDP tries to fight the 36 year old off, but to no avail, Simeone hits a second Spinning Face Buster for the victory! ================================================ Justin Credible let Tommy Dreamer know that their Singapore Cane match was going to be violent...for Dreamer! JC then proceeded to describe the state that Dreamer would be left in when JC walked away with his title still around his waist. ================================================ Up next was the 4 Way Tag match for the ECW Tag Titles. The Dudleys were the last team out, and you have to really like their chances, Buh Buh and Devon both picking up singles victories over the other teams members, plus they are the most experienced team in ECW right now. FBI's Tony Mamaluke was the first through a table for the elimination, he was closely followed by both Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney, Little Guido was next, and we were left with both Dudley Boys and both members of the New Pitbulls! Devon and Kash were both eliminated together, Noble had Devon up for the Powerbomb and Kash jumped over for the clothesline, Buh Buh had moved a table into the path of Kash, eliminating Kash from the fall, whereas Devon went through thans to the Powerbomb. The fans started to root for the New Pitbulls, Buh Buh hit the Buh Buh Bomb onto the table, but it didn't break! Buh Buh reset the table up and went into the corner for Top Rope Powerbomb, only for Noble to turn it into a Hurracanrana, putting Buh Buh through the table for the win! The New Pitbulls celebrated with their first ever tag straps! ================================================ Kurt Angle beat AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels after an Angle Lock, this match was one of the best of the night, with so many near falls and finisher attemps. Styles hit 3 Styles Clashes and also a Spiral Tap, Daniels managed to hit the Angles wings on Styles, but, as like his singles match with Angle, his attempt for the Angels Wings on Angle backfired, as Angle kept a ahold of his left arm and hit the Angle Slam, as Angle lowered his straps to get ready for the Angle Lock, Styles kicked him in the midsection and had the Styles Clash locked in, as he was about to drop, Angle broke free, keeping a tight grip on Styles' left ankle, and after a short struggle, Styles submitted to the Angle Lock! ================================================ The semi Main Event was the Singapore Cane match for the ECW Television Title. Justin Credible jumped Dreamer on his way to the ring, immediately busting him open. The match was just as Credible had promised, Violent! Dreamer took every shot he was given, and fell further to the canvas with every one. Part way through this match, Dawn Marie and Beulah got into one hell of a catfight as would be expected, until JC hit Beulah square in the face with his Singapore Cane, Dreamer, having seen that, went under the ring and pulled out a double thick cane, and SET IT ON FIRE! Dreamer litterly destroyed JC with the Flaming Singapore Cane, just as it seemed like JC would lose, Dawn pulled Dreamer off him, only to be poerbombed for her troubles, Dreamer got JC up for the Spicolli Driver, but dropped him, JC threw Dreamer the Flaming Cane, and then hit a superkick right onto it! Justin Credible picked up the victory, and managed to retain his TV Title! JC rubbed the victory in a little further by hitting a Spicolli Driver on Dreamer through a table! ================================================ The Main Event was up now, RVD defending his ECW World Championship against Japanese legend Jushin Lyger. The match was by far Match of the Night, so many near finishes, Lyger hitting a couple of Brainbusters and even a 5 Star Frogsplash! Lyger did actually dominate this match, however RVD did what was needed towards the end, and, after falling on top of Lyger's Brainbuster attempt, he went up top and hit a 5 Star Frogsplash of his own, he wasn't finished however, he hit a Van Daminator and a Van Terminator, before going up top again to hit another 5 Star Frogsplash, this time getting the victory. ================================================ ECW Heatwave buyrate was 1,431,713 which was 50,000 more than WWE:Raw's Day Zero. These early figures are definately good news for Heyman and Simeone, however, it does prove that they are leaps and bounds ahead of the WWE brands, and although TNA is seen as the nearest competitor to WWE's promotions, the fact that ECW is pushing ahead can only make Vince wonder if Raw and SmackDown! will be split for long. There were no sever injuries at Heatwave, although we can tell you that Abyss' thigh strain is still giving him some problems, and so has been sent to IPW to help improve his fitness, and also see if he can work well with bigger guys like Marat Khoklov in the hope he can continue his fued with Big Show on his return. Reports in from the show are that the ECW representitives are delighted with how the Main Event went, Lyger and RVD had perfect chemistry, and managed to really involve the crowd and the surroundings excellently. Apparently the fans loved the match too, voting it match of the night with 34% of the votes, Angle vs Styles vs Daniels had 23% whereas Credible vs Dreamer was 5th with 7%.

August Week 1 Coming straight off of ECW Heatwave, ECW was on a roll, cleaning the floor with TNA, Raw wasn't doing too well, and SmackDown!, well, their problems continued to increase, after being dropped by their PPV deals (actually, i didn't realise i forgot to set SD with some...my bad :D) SmackDown!s Great American Bash only drew in 11,000 viewers. Heyman could see that his dream of overtaking WWE was soon becoming a reality, his only problem was the financial backings, he couldn't leave Vince's millions behind. After countless discussions with Vince, Heyman was told that the McMahon's would nol onger be involved with the ECW brand, it was all Heyman and Simeone, no more stupid gimmicks down there, no more testing the waters, nothing. Obviously this pleased the ECW board, however they had one problem, they already had The Brood deep in the opening segments of a fued with bWo, Heyman never wanted The Brood, but booked them throguh requirements by Sci-Fi, so now that he was having to sue them without needing to use them, Heyman was obviously pissed. Heyman and Simeone opted to keep The Brood going, after all, they'd taken the trouble to bring in new workers for the promised stable, and they were wanting to push them into a feud with bWo after all, and what harm was it doing having a few extra workers? The first board meeting of August was an eventful one, after so many acquisitions in the last month, new workers would have to be heavily considered before actual signings were done. The development camps, yeah they could gain new workers, but only those that may be called upto ECW in the near future not in 2 or 3 years. Additions to the immediate roster would either be big name talent that can offer extra ratings boosts, or those that could significantly improve the ECW product. The title situations were discussed, and Heyman was ecstatic with the Heavyweight title scene, Angle and Styles were putting in solid performances, Daniels could perform aswell, Lyger and RVD's match at Hetawave was match of the month, and the likes of Big Show, Rhino and Sandman pushing up the ranks, the Title could be seen as a true top tier championship. The TV title was the same, big scene, but at the moment was focused between two men, Justin Credible and Tommy Dreamer, TD spoke up about his fued and said that although it was good, he would rather see JC go over and push into a fued with Stevie Richards, rather than take the title himself to continue the fued. Simeone mentioned that Dreamer was ECW, he deserved the title for even just a months reign, he could drop it back to Credible and then JC and Richards could fued after that. Dreamer was unsure, but said at the PPV for the belt, he'd see what his decision was. Ther Tag titles, having just been put on The New Pitbulls, were seemingly going to be an important part of ECW, with the Dudleys return, it meant ECW had 5 main tag teams, New Pitbulls, Dudleys, Axl and Balls, Doring and Roadkill and FBI. The final agreement for the tag scene was that Pitbulls would holdm the titles for quite sometime before eventually turning face and dropping them to the Dudley boys. Heyman recieved a call from Vince only 5 days after his promise of ECW was on its own, to inform Heyman that he would be recieving The SAT, Jose and Joel Maximo for development, and that he'd also be getting The Highlanders, Rory and Robbie McAllistair to help with their development. Heyman let it slide, saying that it was fine for a couple of extra tag teams, because he'd send them to ECW's developmental areas. Vince was fuming, he wanted them on a regular basis, not performing every once in a while, but, hesitantly, he allowed it, with one clause, Marissa Mazzola, Shane McMahon's wife, would be sent to ECW to keep account of what went on. ================================================ presents ECW Hardcore TV from a sold out Plum Park. Backstage we have The Highlanders who were sent by Vince to ECW. No preshow matches tonight. ================================================ Davide Simeone starts the night off, coming out to a chorus of cheers, after he and CM Punk picked up the victory at Heatwave, he is set to take on FBI member NDP, who looks for revenge. Punk is with Simeone and Big Guido is accompanying NDP. The match is very back and forth, both are evenly matched, as Simeone (who trained NDP) is being beaten by speed, but NDP is being beaten through experience. The match was actually quite an entertaining match, defiantely worth an A in my books, Simeone took the victory with a devastating Spiked Spinning Face Buster, NDP is carried to the back by paramedics after we see a reply of the brutal Face Buster. Simeone then takes the mic and proceeds to cut a fantastic promo on FBI, telling them that this is far from over, and that at Born to be Wired, if they want some more ass kicking, then they're more than welcome! ================================================ Sabu made his way to the ring, and he is set to face High Flying AJ Styles. The match was by all means no classic, Sabu went on the offense with an immediate chair to the face of Styles, and Styles never really got anything in after that! Sabu took the win with an Arabian Facebuster ================================================ Video shown of The New Pitbulls' Tag title victory at Heatwave, had Noble and Kash's comments afterwards. ================================================ Rhino beat Sandman, who was returning from an injury, again, nothing great, but Rhino's Gore through the table damn near broke Sandman in half! ================================================ Joey Styles,Taz and Mike Tenay hype up Kurt Angle vs Jushin Lyger, who both had great matches at Heatwave. ================================================ The Brood and Justin Credible took on bWo and Tommy Dreamer. The match was an all out brawl, Dreamer using the Cane on each memebr of the Brood, including Sinister Minister! The match was won after Mordecai and Tomko beat down Al Snow with a double Powerbomb, and then Tomko hit the SRP for the 3 count. ================================================ RVD beat Christopher Daniels in a non-Title matchup. The match was by far one of the best of the ngiht, several close falls, Daniels hitting the Angles wings for the closest 2 count you may ever see! RVD took the win after his 5 Star Frogsplash through a table. RVD then took the mic and proceeded to lay into Kurt Angle, Aj Styles and Jushin Lyger, telling them all that they were nothing to him, and he'd easliy beat them should they come after his title. ================================================ Main Event time, and this should be goo, Kurt angle, fresh off his Number 1 contenders victory at Heatwave, facing the former Number 1 contender who lost at Heatwave, Jushin Lyger. This match was match of the night, by far an A8 rating for this one, great back and forth action with no one getting a clear advantage at all. Angle worked the ankle down through out the match however, and just as it looked like he would slap in the Angle Lock, he caught his opponent off guard with an Angle Slam for the victory. ================================================ presents the debut showing of ECW Extreme Overload! from a sold out Alumni Hall. Tonights show is only one hour long compared to Hardcore TV's 2, and we have been told that tonight's taping will see two pre show matches! Again, The Highlanders are backstage, no news on wether they will appear tonight, or wether they will head straight to one of ECW's development areas. ================================================ Pre Show matches were quite entertaining, Billy Kidman beat a debuting Austin Aries with a Kid Krusher, the match wasn't at all special, but it saw alot of comedy moments. The Pre Show Main Event as it were was a continuation of the Simeone/Punk vs FBI storyline,. CM Punk took on Little Guido, and, despite the interfearance by Sal E. CM Punk took the victory with the Pepsi Plunge, or so he thought, Sal E' put Guido's foot on the rope, and then distracted Punk, who was then caught by a viscious Chokeslam from Big Guido, and then L.Guido took the pinfall. ================================================ NDP (with neck brace on!) comes to the ring and joins FBi who are already there, he proceed s to cut a promo on Simeone, saying how he nearly broke his neck, and the FBI won't stand for that, and so at Born to be Wired, consider his open challenge accepted! Big Show then interupts him, makes his way to the ring, and immediately throws the smaller three memebrs of FBi out of the ring, he hits a huge kick to Sal E and knocks him out of the ring, and the bell rings for Big Show vs Big Guido! The match wasn't too bad for two big guys, maybe we'll see a Show/Guido fued out of this, at least these guys have chemistry! Show wins with a Chokeslam onto a standing chair. ================================================ Masato Tanaka beats Travis Tomko after interferance from Mordecai backfired, Tanaka then hit a huge back elbow, and then the Roaring Elbow Tanaka got up to celebrate, but it was cut short when Tajiri attacked him, not sure why, but Tajiri was hit with a chorus of boos because of it, has Tajiri been turned already? ================================================ Al Snow came out to get revenge on Mordecai from last nights beating, but instead was greeted by TV Champion Justin Credible, who told Snow to shut up, and put up because they have a match right now! Snow fought his hardest but was hit with That's Incredible, before being picked up and hit with a superkick! Dreamer ran to the ring before JC went for the cover, and proceeded to lay a beating on him, after hitting the Spicolli Driver, he pulled Snow over the top of JC and the ref counted a victory for Snow! Dreamer then told JC after the match that after getting a sanctioned rematch, he will take JC's title at Born to be Wired, maybe we'll see a Barbed Wire Singapore Cane match now! ================================================ The main event saw Champion and Challenger go against Heatwave Opponents. RVD and Kurt Angle beat Jushin Lyger and AJ Styles in the match of the night. Styles and Lyger formed a great team, and, were unfortunate not to get the victory, Lyger went for the brain buster on RVD, but Angle took his legs out, and threw him over the top, Styles then came in and as Angle lifted him for the Angle Slam, RVD took flight for the 5 Star, forcing Angle to drop Styles quickly enough for RVD to land it. ================================================ Abyss has now been sent to IPW, the big man just couldn't cut it with the Big Show, and was sent to Iceland to train with the other workers there. There's no word as of yet wether or not Abyss will continue his fued with Show on his return, however we do know that he isn't expected back any time soon. Marissa Mazzola has been sent to ECW by the McMahon's to keep an eye on things, apparently she is going to act as a go between for Vince so he can get regular updates on what storylines ECW has planned, quite possibly to steal them for SmackDown! and Raw. Leai Meao (Kimona Wanalaya) has been signed to a written ECW contract, she is not expected to debut any time soon, and has been sent to IWS to get herself back in shape for a possible return around Decemebr time. Tim Arson, the guy that was brought in to appease Sci-Fi by playing a Zombie Character has now been dropped to IWS, the guy did not appear on TV, but was seen in the audience at every show, with the recent announcement that ECW are on their own, they are no longer under the creative restraints of WWE, and have therefore dropped The Zombie for now, and will be watching his development in IWS. Armando Alejandro Estrada has been dropped from Raw, and sent to ECW, apparently Estrada had a backstage incident that involved one of the divas, and was sent to ECW to be away from Raw, as ECW are currently full with managers, they have sent him off to IPW. Barbie Blank, who is expected to play Kelly, a 2006 version of Kimona Wanalaya in ECW, has been sent down to IPW after Raw requested she train, ECW have allowed this as they would like to use Women in a few gimmick matches every now and then. As reported at the past two TV tapings, The Highlanders were backstage, and they have been sent to ECW, they are now classed as an ECW team, and will be sent to IWS. The SAT were also sent to ECW this past week, being sent to IPW. Straight Up Mikey Batts (real life cousin of ECW's Billy Kidman) was sent to ECW's IWS this week. James Mitchell, who is known as Sinister Minister in ECW, has been signed a written extension to his contract. ECW have agreed deals in Mexico and Japan to show both ECW Extreme Overload! and Hardcore TV. TV Azteca has ECW Hardcore TV, and Televisa get Extreme Overload! for Mexico, whilst Nippon TV get Extreme Overload! and ESPN get Hardcore TV for Japan, an interesting note for Hardcore TV is now it goes head to head with Raw on Mondays. ECW also agreed a deal with TV Europe to show ECW Extreme Overload! in Europe. ECW Ratings news: ECW Hardcore TV (Sci-Fi) - 1,879,679 ECW Hardcore TV (Sky Sports) - 734,398 ECW Extreme Overload! (Channel 5) - 100,932 Channel 5's showing of Extreme Overload! is not as bad as it looks, this is actually quite a high figure given that the timeslot (11pm) is a late one, and also that the wrestling popularity in England is slowly decreasing. What can be classed as a rareity, we bring you ECW development territoy news. Shadow joined IPW this week, however, the European worker immediately got released for reasons unknown, no news as of yet, but it seems like he will not be heading upto ECW through IPW unfortunately. To follow on from Shadow's release, Brody Steele and Gino Gambino werereleased by IPW, with Simeone said to be happy with Gino Gambino's commitments and his inring skills, many believe that he will be signed to an ECW Development contract, and then sent back to IPW, but without the chance of being relased. Kevin Steen and Steve Royds released by IWS, they were closely followed by Beef Wellington and The Arsenal. No word on why these were released, however Kevin Steen is expected to meet with ECW officials in the next few days to discuss a possible ECW Development contract to send him back to IWS. ================================================ WWE:Raw WWE:Raw Uprising Results Umaga beat Harry Smith Mitch beat Raven Carlito and Nitro beat Heidenreich and Eugene Goldust beat Damaja Shelton beat Rob Conway to retiain IC Chris Master beat Steve Austin Mark Copani beat Jeff Hardy Scott Steiner and Hulk Hogan beat Cade and Murdoch Mickie James beat Trinity to retain Womens Rene Dupree and Snitsky beat V2 for World Tag John Cena beat Triple H Kane beat Edge to retain WWE WWE:SmackDown! Chuck Aurin was signed to a deal this week. As a kick in the face for WWE, Lash leroux, who was expected to join up with SmackDown! after this month as the Rajin Cajun, jumped to TNA, and is expected to debut very soon. ================================================ TV Networks are scheduling new TV shows this month, here is the current new shows lined up for next months new TV Schedule: 3CW sign deal with STV for ECW Emergency CMLL sign deal with TV Azteca for CMLL Accion Viva AAA sign deal with TV Azteca for AAA Lineas De Batalla NWA-UK sign deal with CW Tinternet for NWA-UK Wrecking Ball BCW sign deal with CW Tinternet for BCW Emergency A few PPV deals were signed aswell: FWA sign PPV deal with BSKYB BML sign PPV deal with Tiny Tiny ROH sign PPV deal with USA Free Choice IWRG sign PPV deal with Tiny Tiny RINGS Fighting Network opened in Honshu Japan, Mr. Gannosuke took charge and said that he would be looking to make RINGS one of the greatest Japanese promotions. August Week 2 The success of ECW was becoming a problem, a good problem, but a problem never the less, ECW wasn't supposed to last too long, just to help keep people tuned in to WWE, rather than moving over to TNA. Vince had pondered buying out TNA over the past few weeks, but opted to destroy the company instead, and decided that, even though WWE were being beaten serverely by ECW, Vince opted to use ECW as his weapon against them. ECW had debuted their first ever Extreme Overload! and despite the numbers being somewhat dissapointing, Heyman was still optimistic that it would work for company. UK had always been an indifferent area for ECW fans, as much as it was a more popular option that Canada or Japan for example, they still had a select group that boycotted the show due to it's risky nature. To help combat a possible popularity decrease in the UK, Heyman and Simeone called a meeting with the ECW board, and whichever WWE Creative members wished to be present aswell. The general feeling was that nothing much could be done, the stuff they were doing was over in America, but they looked at possible options for the likes of O'Haire, who just didn't fit into the bWo stable anyways, and then they moved to The New Pitbulls, as much as they were over, was it right to push them the same way as the previous guys? Paul Heyman and Davide Simeone then discussed possible options for The Brood, lengthy talks had seen them say no to the continuation of the Brood/bWo fued that was planned, the group had a few weaker areas anyways, and the workers could well work down in development for a while, but were they worth keeping? Preperations for Born to be Wired had began, the first promotional poster was released, again pushing RVD as the main event, but the big question was, is Angle going to be his opponent? and if not, who would be? The final idea brought up at the meeting was a PreShow title, they could show the highlights of the Championship matches on the TV shows. By doing this they hoped it could help elevate the younger, or lower rated workers higher up the cards, and also help encourage more people to turn up to live tapings to see the Pre Show title matches happen. ================================================ presents ECW Hardcore TV from a sold out Palestra Nobody noteworthy is backstage tonight. Again no preshow matches at Hardcore TV, hopefully this will not be a common aspect of the show. ================================================ ECW Tag Team Championship Match: The New Pitbulls faced off against Doring and Roadkill for their first title defence. Why Doring and Roadkill were given the first shot i don't know, they weren't even in the tag title match at Heatwave! Anyways, TNP dominated this matchup from beginning to end, with Roadkill being pinned after the Powerbomb/Clothesline. TNP opted to continue beating down on Roadkill, which prompted Doring to reenter the ring for the save, after fighting off both Noble and Kash, Doring went to check on Roadkill, who mistakenly took him for one of his attackers and left him on the floor! There seems to be a bit of trouble brewing between Roadkill and Doring now! ================================================ All three members of The Dudley Boys were in action tonight, taking on bWo members Al Snow, Blue Meanie and Stevie Richards. This match was by no means good, but the entertainment brought from bWo was of top standard. The Dudleys suprisingly reacted comicly to bWo's antics, but turned serious towards the end of the match and hit 3 3D's for the victory. ================================================ TV Championship Match: Justin Credible offered an open challenge for his title, many expected Dreamer to accept, and after his music hit many believed it was him! But Chris Chetti made his way to the ring as a planted challenger by JC, and, after a slow back and forth match, JC won, and retained his title. Dreamer again got involved with JC's match, hitting several Cane and Chair shots before leaving through the crowd. ================================================ CM Punk, Chad Malenko and Davide Simeone came to the ring to warn NDP and FBI that at Born to be Wired, they'd be getting their asses kicked, and that if that didn't send them back to Italy, then, they'd just have to take them their the hard way! With that, FBI came to the ring, they proceeded to beat down the three men, until The Big Show came to the ring and chokeslammed each and every member! Sal E. entered and tried to beat down Show, only to be Chokeslammed and pinned in yet another Big Show vs a member of FBI impromtu match. ================================================ CM Punk and Tony Mamaluke ended up staying at ringside, and Simeone returned and announced that Punk and Mamaluke would be having a matchup right now! Sal E. tried to beat down Punk to "Soften" him up for Mamaluke, but it never really worked. Punk hit the Pepsi Plunge and took the victory. ================================================ AJ Styles vs Jushin Liger never actually happened, after a mini brawl before the matchup, both ended up fighting their way backstage, and were eventually seperated. It was announced afterwards however that at ECW Extreme Overload! the two would actully fight it out. ================================================ Kurt Angle took on Christopher Daniels in the match of the night. The match was scheduled for two out of three submission falls, Angle lost to the Koji Clutch in the first round, Angle won the second with the Angle Lock, and took the final one with another Angle Lock! ================================================ Rob Van Dam took on Tajiri in the main event match, and although it didn't live up to it's predecesor, it certainly didnt leave the fans dissapointed. RVD took the win with a 5 star frogsplash. After the match we saw Masato Tanaka make his way down the to ring, and after a breif encounter, Tajiri spat Black Mist into Tanaka's eyes! ================================================ presents ECW Extreme Overload! from a sold out Hammerstein Ballroom Kevin Steen, who recently signed an ECW Development contract, is backstage, and could well be used in a preshow tryout match before heading back to IWS ================================================ Pre Show matches are a common feature it would seem on Extreme Overload! as the show is only an hour, it appears this is going to be a great show to try out talent at. Mike Awesome beat Kid Richie in a dissapointing match, the Big Man hit two Awesome Bombs in a row for the victory. Billy Kidman took on Spike Dudley in the Pre Show Main Event, nothing special, but the two put on a good showing for the fans. ================================================ Rob Van Dam tells Kurt Angle that he may well be the Number One Contender, but having cleared a possible match for Born to be Wired, Kurt wont be his only opponent! ================================================ Stevie Richards took on Austin Aries, and after a breif spell of attack from Aries, Richards won with a Stevie-T ================================================ Tag Team Championship Number 1 Contenders match - Dudley Boys beat Malenko and Punk, FBI and Doring and Roadkill to become number one contenders. Again Roadkill lost the match, Doring ended up just walking away this time. The New Pitbulls made their way to the ring and proceeded to beat down the Dudleys, surprisingly much to the delight oft he crowd. ================================================ The Sandman defeated Tommy Dreamer after Justin Credible interfered. The match was a brutal contest, with Dreamer bleeding heavily, Sandman took the victory with the Singapore Cane Legsweep Justin Credible stood by and, as soon as the match was over, attacked Dreamer, after a short attack, Justin told Dreamer that if he really wanted to take the title off of him at BtbW, then he'd have to try a hell of a lot harder than how he performed tonight! ================================================ The scheduled Liger vs Styles match was up next, and although not a classic, it was a good match, Liger eventually took the win with a brutal Brainbuster that had Styles doubled over on impact. ================================================ The main event matchup was a true classic, Kurt Angle was told on ECW.com that he would be facing a returning ECW legend, and after a fan poll suggested that Jerry Lynn would be the returning star, Sabu appeared! Sabu almost got the win after an arabian face buster, however, Angle managed to lock on the Angle Slam, and took the victory. ================================================ As reported last week, Gino Gambino has now been signed to an ECW Development contract, the young Italian impressed ECW officials after his short stint at development territoy IPW, and, after his release was brought in in the hope of joining up with the FBI stable. Kevin Steen, as reported, was backstage at the Extreme Overload! tapings, Steen was with IWS until being released recently, but was snapped up by ECW, and has been sent back their for development. Tim Richards, a young Englishman who finally turned professional at the beginning of August, has been signed to an ECW contract, no word on wether he will be sent to IPW or wether he will be alligned with Axl and Balls, due to his links with the two from the past. ECW Extreme Overload! again didn't do too well in the ratings this week, drawing a weak 99,370 on Channel 5 in the UK, and getting a somewhat uplifting 1,420,412 on Bravo!. ECW Hardcore TV however kept at their consistant level of 1,662,081 on Sci-Fi, and got a pleasant 685,335 on Sky Sports, which shows that ECW can be popular on certain channels in the UK. ================================================ WWE:Raw No real news to note.
