[B]A[/B]: Well, first of all I didn't buy WCW from Vince. I bought it from another McMahon. I bought it from Shane. If you are a real wrestling fan you would remember that Shane was the one that purchased WCW. I talked to Shane and he said his dad is fully behind the ECW brand and that he wanted to profit from WCW so the only way to profit from it was to sell it. So I purchased it today for 125 million dollars. [B]Q[/B]: How much money did you win from the lottery and why did you purchase a wrestling promotion when you could have done other things with your money. [B]A[/B]: Well, I've been a wrestling fan since I was about 5 so I've been a fan for a good 15 years. I know I'm very young to be a wrestling promoter but I got one thing that older promoters don't have. And that's knowing what people want. The core audience of wrestling is 18 to about 34. I'm in that age group so I know what people want. People don't want to hear people talk for hours and hours. They want to see excellent wrestling. [B]Q[/B]: So when do you plan on bring back the WCW brand. Do you have a TV timeslot for it yet? [B]A[/B]: No, to the last question but I am definitely working on it. And to answer your first question...I would say in a month or two. First I have to get a solid roster of wrestlers and then solidify a TV slot and a PPV deal. Once that is all taken care of I will give you a solid date for the return of WCW. [B]Q[/B]: Are you going to go after any wrestlers that are currently in WWE, ECW or TNA? [B]A[/B]: Not at the moment. I want to start with talent that currently isn't in any of the 3 mainstream companies. [B]Q[/B]: So how are you going to pick people for your roster? [B]A[/B]: Well, I'm going to listen to the fans. On WCW.com for the next few weeks I'm going to have a message board and I want the fans to choose people that they want to see in the WCW brand. And after that I will give out feelers to the most popular picks of the fans and see what happens from there. I have faith in the fans because they know what they want. So I'll check in with you from time to time to let everyone know the progress we have made... ...Also before I go I'm sure everyone wants to know if I got all the PPV names back from WWE and the titles. And the answer is yes and no. I only got Bash at the Beach, Starcade and World War 3 back from WWE as they use some old WCW PPV names. As for the titles I only got back the TV and Tag Titles. But we will have a heavyweight title and on the first show we have I will reveal to you fans the new WCW Heavyweight title and I will also reveal a new Cruiserweight title. So stay tuned because WCW is back and ready to go to War. [I]OOC: I'm not going to start this dairy until the new TCP comes out as I want to have the most updated real life rosters. Also I really do want to hear from you guys on who I should try and get for my new WCW. If you guys want list 5 to 10 people you think I should try and sign. I want to know people that aren't signed to TNA, WWE or the new ECW. I want people that are either in ROH or other places worldwide. Also the new WCW will be cutting edge style. I wanted to start a new real life diary because I feel that a lot of people that are starting ECW or WCW diary's are just making it out to be either somewhat like WWE or just signing a bunch or TNA people. I want people that aren't in the 3 mainstream feds. Also when people get released or there deals are almost over I will post the names and see if you guys think I should sign them or not. I'm definitely going to try and sign Jado and Gedo. There a great tag team over in Japan. I really appreciated all the names though. And Gatorbait I'm gonna hit you up later for a good WCW logo. Again thanks to everyone who replied except for Ego who just plugged his own diary which I think is pretty shallow because it's just like every other diary just taking WWE and TNA talent and calling it WCW. Tomorrow the voting will be finished and I will announce the first signing of the new WCW. So if you haven't voted get your vote in. Right now it's between Sean O'Haire and Goldberg. So if u want someone else you better vote now...There will be a Q & A session tomorrow with the new CEO of WCW Tim Woods and he will make the announcement of the first WCW hiring and more news on the first day of the new WCW! TW: Well, first of all I would like to thank everyone who voted on the website for there choice for the first person to be signed to the new WCW brand. Well, I guess now is the best time to announce WCW's first signing. And he is the man that helped WCW out in it's prime. He had the longest winning streak ever...he goes by the name of Goldberg... Q: Goldberg how does it feel to know that fans still want to see you wrestle...and part two...How are you going to help WCW become bigger than ever? Goldberg: Well, it feels good to know fans still want to see me perform...and your second question...I'm going to work my ass off and make sure I can help WCW as much as I can. I know I was a big part of the first WCW in it's prime but that's dead and buried and I'm ready to make this WCW bigger than ever. I have faith that Tim will get the best roster of stars and the company will put on top notch TV shows and PPV's. Q: Mr. Woods who else did you sign? You said that you would sign the first 5 people that had the highest vote count...so who are they? TW: Well, our second signing is Sean O'Haire. He's an incredible athlete. We can't wait to see what he can do in the ring. Our third signing is...Bryan Danielson...he is an amazing wrestler on the independent circuit and we can't wait to show mainstream wrestling fans what a great wrestler he is...Our fourth signing is an amazing high flyer...he goes by the name of Jack Evans...he's going to be clutch in our cruiserweight division...and our last signing is one of the my all time favorites...Perry Saturn. He's going to be a great leaders and I can't wait to see him perform. Well, that's it for today. July 1st or 2nd will be the day we sign a bunch of talent.
