bshooter1994 Posted October 11, 2021 Author Share Posted October 11, 2021 bshooter1994 Content WCW Cruiserweight Championship The current Cruiserweight Champion Little Guido has been an unstoppable force here in WCW ever since he got here. Shane Helms has given everything he an at him but Guido has found new ways to get out of it. Guido bringing together his militia has made the numbers game a massive issue for Helms. Helms has found some friends who have come to his aid, hopefully this will at least even the odds for Helms. This should finally make this match a 1 on 1 match no outside interference and we can see who is the best cruiserweight in WCW. This rivalry has final come to this who will prevail as the champion will Guido find a way to get the win or can Helms do the unthinkable and defeat Guido. Rob Van Dam vs Chavo Guerrero JR Rob Van Dam since he's come to WCW has dealt with a lot of adversity. Starting with the issues with Shane Douglas and Bam Bam Bigelow and now he has been challenged by Chavo Guerrero. Both men are top notch athletes are arguable best in ring workers in the business. They have never faced prior to this showdown and both men wanted the match. We haven't seen Chavo Guerrero since losing to Kidman and losing his chance at a Cruiserweight Gold for a whole year, to have him challenge RVD as he returns this tells me Chavo is ready to make a leap to the next level. This match is potentially a show stealer and the crowd is ready for it. Who will come out on top will Chavo Guerrero return to his winning ways as he uses RVD to launch the next chapter in his career or can RVD pick up the win and move closer to getting to WCW gold. WCW Tag Team Titles The WCW Tag Team Champions Totally Buff Buff Bagwell and Lex Lugar have become some of the most hated people in WCW history. Their egotistical ways have made just about everyone in WCW and the WCW fans hate them. They have found ways to escape every match by keeping their tag team titles. They have been avoiding this particular team even though they won't admit it in the two youngsters PinPoint. The crowd is fully behind PinPoint and they are so ready to finally get a real 2 v 2 match against Totally Buff where hopefully they can't weasel their way into retaining the titles. Will we see yet another escape artist tactic to retain or will we see a crowning moment for these two young guys? Bam Bam Bigelow / Shane Douglas vs Booker T / Lance Storm The rivalry that has developed between Shane Douglas / Bam Bam Bigelow and Lance Storm and Booker T is quite odd. This all started when Lance Storm was hand picked by Bischoff to make sure Flair didn't get to the WCW title match. After 3 great matches Storm and Flair showed mutual respect. This led to Bischoff recruiting Shane and Bam Bam to take them out which led to Storm becoming friends with Flair and Booker since he made the save for them. Booker T has been thrown into this match after the #1 contenders match last week where Flair beat him so Booker said he would step in to team with Storm to try to take out the thorns in everyone's side. What will happen in this match can Booker and Storm team affectively or will the best friends of Shane and Bam Bam somehow come out with the win. WCW United States Championship No DQ WCW United States Championship is on the line when Chris Kanyon challenges his career long rival Diamond Dallas Page. Kanyon finally earned his one on one shot at the last PPV preshow battle royal and made his presence immediately felt. DDP retained his title and Kanyon took him out making it very clear that he will take the title from his rival. These two guys have a history that is so deep here in WCW. They have gone from best friends and tag team partners to bitter enemies after Kanyon turned on Page a few years back. Page has never forgotten that and now with Kanyon coming after Page's US Title they both know what they are capable of. The both knew this couldn't be a regular match they had to make it a no DQ so there could be a winner and no cheating or cheap wins could happen. Will Page retain his gold or will we see Kanyon finally get a win over his longterm rival and bring WCW Gold to his legacy. Rey Mysterio vs RhinoRhino started this rivalry when he decided to make an impact and example out of Konnan Rey Mysterio's best friend. Rhino took it upon himself to hit a piledriver on Konnan through a table and since then no one has heard from Konnan. Mysterio naturally tried to come to avenge his friend and battle Rhino. These two guys have gone back and forth battling post match multiple times. Mysterio thought he was free of Rhino after defeating him last month but no Rhino made his return a week or so later and laid out Mysterio. This Rivalry is deeply personal for both men and something has to give here only one man can be declared the winner. WCW Championship WCW Champion Scott Steiner has arguably been the most dominant champion in recent memory. No one has been able to touch him since the relaunch. He stormed his way to the gold by beating everyone in his way. Then he proceeded to defeat Kevin Nash and take him out of action. Booker T tried to come at him too but Steiner found his way to the victory. Now, Steiner has to go against the most decorated champion of all time. Can Ric Flair capture the big gold belt one more time or will Scott Steiner's reign of terror continue? WCW Clash of Champions 2001 is live below!
