What is the best way to simulate a wrestler getting back into shape?

I wanted to do a little side project for my own pleasure,with Wahoo McDaniel working himself back into shape and making one last inspirational run at he NWA World Title before retirement.The thing is,to be honest,old Wahoo was pretty fat by the time of the D.O.T.T. scenario,I wanted to simulate him undergoing an intense training regimen to get himself in shape but still be a Heavyweight. What would be the best way to simualte it? Have him train for weight gain until he goes up a size class,then weight loss until he drops back down?
