The Acclaimed vs Mustache Mountain (Tyler Bate & Trent Seven)

The Acclaimed got here by defeating MSK a few weeks ago, while Mustache Mountain beat Pretty Deadly on NXT UK to qualify. This match is a good match and the crowd is solidly behind Bate & Seven. Caster picks up Bate and hits him with a swinging neckbreaker before tagging out to Anthony Bowens. Bowens blasts Bate with a lariat before hitting him with a standing moonsault. Bowens picks up Bate and attempts a military press slam, but Bate wiggles out of it and hits Bowens with a German suplex. Bate tags out to Trent Seven, who hits Bowens with a lariat. Seven picks up Bowens and hits him with a sidewalk slam. The match comes to an end when Seven attempts to hit Bowens with a powerslam, but Bowens wiggles out of it and hits Seven with an exploder suplex! After that match is over, we cut to the locker room, where Kay Lee Ray is getting ready for her match. Dakota Kai enters and says that she's got KLR's back tonight before asking her something that's been on her mind. Dakota asks KLR why she helped her out a few weeks ago. KLR responds by saying that the answer is very simple...

Kay Lee Ray: "Dakota, I've been seeing you backstage without anyone, just moping about. So, from one lost soul to another, I've got your back mate."

Dakota cautiously thanks KLR before KLR asks her if she wants to team up in the upcoming Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Dakota accepts the offer and KLR finishes this promo by saying that her & Dakota are about to be the baddest bitches in NXT!

We then cut to another video hyping up the debut of Roxy Ramirez. This video shows Ramirez at the Performance Center, where she easily out-wrestles her competition. In a voiceover, Roxy says that wherever she goes, she's on top. Roxy says that whether it's on the streets of Laredo or in the Performance Center, she's always number one. Roxy finishes by explaining what she's going to do to the women's division...

Roxy Ramirez: "At Vengeance Day, I'm going to show the world why they call me "The Prodigy." So everyone in that locker room better take notice. Whether it's Mandy Rose, Cora Jade, or anyone else, just so you know, Roxy Ramirez is here to take over!"

Sarray w/Io Shirai vs Kay Lee Ray w/Dakota Kai

These two (and their respective partners at ringside) competed in a tag team match last week, which KLR & Dakota Kai won after some miscommunication between Sarray & Io. This match is a good match and the crowd is solidly behind Sarray. Sarray and KLR start the match off with a collar and elbow tie-up, in which Sarray hits KLR with a tilt-a-whirl headscissors. Sarray throws KLR into the corner and hits her with an enzuigiri. Sarray goes to the top rope, but before she can attempt anything, Dakota Kai starts jawing with her. That allows KLR to run up the turnbuckle and hits Sarray with a superplex! KLR starts working over Sarray's knee before hitting her with a sidewalk slam. KLR throws Sarray off the ropes and hits her with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. KLR attempts a powerslam, but Sarray reverses it into a hurricanrana! The match comes to an end when Sarray goes to the top rope, but she's distracted again by Dakota Kai. This time Io Shirai gets involved, yelling at Dakota. The two women soon begin brawling on the outside, but on the inside, KLR grabs Sarray and hits her with a running powerslam! KLR then picks up Sarray and hits her with the KLR Bomb (Gory Bomb)! Ray covers Sarray and gets the three.

Tankman runs off the ropes and attempts a running splash, but Gacy rolls out of the way and hits Tankman with a senton. A bewildered Gacy starts stomping the living hell out of Tankman and only stops when the referee threatens to disqualify him. Gacy whips Tankman into the corner and attempts a running splash, but Tankman gets out of the way at the last second. Tankman hits Gacy with a belly to belly suplex before tagging out to Odyssey. Odyssey runs off the ropes and hits Gacy with a big splash. Odyssey attempts a spinebuster, but Gacy reverses it into a DDT. The match comes to an end when Gacy tags out to Harland, who goes absolutely wild on Odyssey, hitting him with a barrage of punches and slams. Harland then throws Odyssey into the corner and starts choking the living hell out of him! The referee threatens to disqualify Harland, but he just continues choking Odyssey. Eventually, the referee calls for the bell, giving the win to Odyssey and Tankman. Harland keeps the chokehold locked in however, with Gacy yelling at him to keep it in. Eventually officials run down to the ring and force Harland off, but not before the damage is done.

After our final commercial break of the evening, we cut back to the ring, where the contract signing between Bron Breakker & Samoa Joe is about to take place. Wade Barrett is standing in the ring. Barrett gives some background on the upcoming match between Joe & Bron before introducing the two competitors. The two individually make their way down to the ring before sharing a tense staredown. The two then sign the contract, but before Barrett can close the book on it, Joe grabs his microphone and begins to talk. Joe tells Bron to enjoy these last few days as NXT Champion, because it's the last time he's ever going to hold it. Joe says he's held the NXT Championship three times already and he's more than ready to hold it a fourth time. Joe explains what's going to happen to Bron on Saturday...

Samoa Joe: "Bron, after I'm done giving you the beating of a lifetime on Saturday, you're going to be sharing a hospital room with your daddy!"

Joe goes to say something else, but Bron snatches the microphone from his hand! Bron says he speaks for everyone watching right now when he tells Joe to shut the hell up! Bron says he hears Joe talking all this crap about what he's going to do, but he can never back it up! Bron calls Joe a guy who failed so badly at being a wrestler he had to go into commentating, and he failed that so badly he had to go back to being a wrestler! Bron then explains to Joe the fundamental flaw in his plan...

Bron Breakker: "Joe, do you want to know why I know you'll never hold this championship belt ever again? Because even if you beat me, I know you'll just get injured again and run away to your gamer cave for half a year!"

Joe takes offense to that and tries to take a swing at Bron, but Bron catches him and hits him with a belly to belly suplex through the table! Bron grabs the NXT Championship and stands tall as NXT comes to a close.

Annoyed I missed a bulk of the Dusty Rhodes tourney. But Vengeance Day looks very promising

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Finals Match:

Odyssey Jones & Tankman vs The Acclaimed

Comments: These 2 teams have absolutely been booked the strongest but I think Acclaimed winning gives them something to hold over other tag teams.

Crowbar Death Match:

Pete Dunne vs Tony D'Angelo

Comments: Hopefully Pete can go on to better and brighter things and Tony can go wherever D'Angelo goes

NXT North American Championship Match:

Carmelo Hayes © vs Cameron Grimes

Comments: Hayes is a new ish champion and don't see him losing to Grimes who imo has had his time in the midcard shine

NXT Women's Championship Match:

Mandy Rose © vs Cora Jade

Comments: Rose is a established name and while Cora has been getting built she just lacks character and name value that Mandy has

No Disqualifications Match:

Johnny Gargano vs Grayson Waller

Comments: This is still NXT 2.0 so Waller probably and should win here especially after his big win over AJ.

NXT Championship Match:

Bron Breakker © vs Samoa Joe

Comments: Bron is similarly a new champ and don't see him losing to Joe to retred old ground of heel NXT champ Joe. Joe is a strong name to legitimize Breakker's reign.

Now these two finally settle their differences in a Crowbar Death Match. The rules of this match are simple, it's essentially just a street fight with crowbars as the only weapon! This match is a good match and the crowd is solidly behind Dunne. Dunne and D'Angelo start the match off, already with crowbars in hand, with a bit of a crowbar duel, with neither man getting any major blows in. Eventually, Dunne is able to strike the crowbar out of D'Angelo's hands and starts wailing on him with his own! D'Angelo eventually stops the assault by kicking Dunne below the belt. D'Angelo throws Dunne out of the ring and into the ring steps before grabbing a crowbar. D'Angelo swings at Dunne, but Dunne rolls out of the way at the last second and the only thing D'Angelo hits is the turnbuckle! Dunne then hits D'Angelo with a big forearm smash before sending him head-first into the ring barricade. Dunne throws D'Angelo back in the ring and tries hitting him with the Bitter End, but D'Angelo reverses it into a neckbreaker. D'Angelo hits Dunne with a German suplex before hitting him with a big knee drop. D'Angelo attempts a powerslam, but Dunne reverses it into a reverse DDT. The match comes to an end when Dunne attempts the Bitter End, but D'Angelo gets out of it by hitting Dunne below the belt again! D'Angelo then grabs a crowbar and cracks it right over Dunne's head! NXT 2.0- February 22nd, 2022

Live From: Orlando, Florida

Commentary Team: Vic Joseph & Wade Barrett

Welcome everyone to another exciting episode of NXT 2.0! We start off with a video recapping what happened at Vengeance Day last Saturday, which finished with Bron Breakker retaining the NXT Championship against Samoa Joe. We then cut back to the arena, where...

WRT92TD.jpguroiOTp.jpgSNXq6VW.jpg

Grayson Waller, Ortiz, & Santana make their way down to the ring!

Waller grabs a microphone as the crowd chants "WALLER'S A SCUMBAG!" Waller basks in the jeers before finally getting on to what he was about to say. Waller says that on Saturday, he killed the legend of "Johnny Wrestling" once and for all. Waller says he took Gargano to hell and back, but in the end, the "Grayson Waller Effect" trumped "Johnny Wrestling!" Waller says he knows what his detractors are going to say, that he only won because of his two associates. Waller says they're dead wrong! Waller then introduces his new associates...

Grayson Waller: "These two men right here, Ortiz & Santana. These two have been all around the world, kicking ass and taking names. When my match with Gargano was made, I realized I needed a bit of an insurance policy. These two were my insurance policy and damn did it pay off!"

Waller says he's done with Gargano, his focus is now entirely on Bron Breakker and winning the NXT Championship! Waller finishes by saying that there is nobody in NXT that came stop him, Ortiz, & Santana!

Imperium © vs Odyssey Jones & Tankman

Odyssey & Tankman won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, defeating The Acclaimed in the finals at Vengeance Day. Shortly thereafter, they challenged Imperium to an NXT Tag Team Championship match, which was accepted! This match is a good match and the crowd is solidly behind Odyssey & Tankman. Odyssey & Marcel Barthel start the match off with Odyssey taking Barthel down with a lariat. Odyssey throws Barthel into the corner and hits him with a knife edge chop. He then attempts a big body splash, but Barthel rolls out of the way at the last second and hits Odyssey with an enzuigiri. Barthel tags out to Fabian Aichner and the two hit Odyssey with a double European uppercut before Aichner starts going after Odyssey's knee. Aichner locks Odyssey in a kneebar, but Odyssey is eventually able to make it to the ropes. Aichner tries locking it in again, but Odyssey kicks him away and tags out to Tankman. Tankman blasts Aichner with a big boot before hitting him with a senton. Tankman throws Aichner off the ropes and hits him with a spinebuster. The match comes to an end when Tankman attempts the Tankbomb, but Aichner reverses it into a hurricanrana. Aichner tags out to Barthel, while Tankman tags out to Odyssey. Barthel ducks a lariat from Odyssey, jumps off the middle rope, and attempts a spinning European uppercut, but Odyssey catches him and hits him with the Odyssey Avalanche! Odyssey covers Barthel and gets the three! Odyssey Jones & Tankman are your new NXT Tag Team Champions!

After a quick commercial break, we cut backstage where Tyler Bate is located. Bate says that he's glad to be back in NXT after coming up short in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic a few weeks ago. Bate says while his partner Trent Seven may not be here anymore, he's ready to show the NXT universe what he's made of...

Tyler Bate: "I'm a former NXT United Kingdom Champion, I held that for over 100 days! I've got what it takes to make it here in NXT and hey, maybe even go after that NXT North American Championship!"

With that Bate leaves and makes his entrance for his upcoming match.

Tyler Bate vs Local Talent

Bate was last seen on NXT a few weeks ago participating in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, losing to The Acclaimed with his tag team partner Trent Seven. Now Seven is back in England and Bate is out to make it on his own in the states. This match is nothing more than a squash match that Bate completely dominates. Bates eventually finishes off this local talent in just under five minutes after he hits him with the Tyler Driver '97 (Sitout Double Underhook Powerbomb).

After a commercial break, we cut to the backstage area, where Timothy Thatcher is being interviewed. Thatcher is asked about what's going on between him and Imperium, specifically what happened a few weeks ago when they handed him a note. Thatcher says that was a big misunderstanding...

Timothy Thatcher: "What WALTER gave to me a few weeks ago was an invitation to join Imperium. Now I haven't answered that invitation yet, but I'm declining it right now. I can make Thatch-as-Thatch-can the dominant force in NXT without two guys who just lost the NXT Tag Team Championships and some Austrian fellow holding me back!"

Thatcher then finishes by saying that he's going to go out there tonight and beat Carmelo Hayes and maybe after that, go after the NXT Championship!

LA Knight vs Dolph Ziggler

This is Dolph Ziggler's first appearance on NXT since July 2013, when he stopped by during his World Heavyweight Championship run to face a young Alexander Rusev in a winning effort. Nearly 10 years later, he faces someone more similar to him in LA Knight. This match is a good match and the crowd is solidly behind Knight. Ziggler starts the match by continuing his pre-match beatdown on Knight, hitting him with a barrage of kicks. Knight eventually fires back by hitting him with a stiff forearm smash. Knight throws Ziggler sternum-first into the corner and hits him with a German suplex. Knight picks up Ziggler and hits him with a powerslam. Knight attempts another powerslam, but Ziggler rakes his eyes and hits him with a beautiful dropkick. Ziggler attempts the Zig-Zag (Jumping Reverse Bulldog), but Knight holds onto the ropes and shakes him off. Knight hits Ziggler with a knee drop before picking him up and hitting him with a military press slam. Knight throws Ziggler into the corner and hits him with 10 punches before hitting him with a scoop slam. Knight throws Ziggler off the ropes and hits him with a big back body drop. Knight goes to the second rope and attempts a diving knee drop, but Ziggler rolls out of the way at the last second. The match comes to an end when Ziggler hits Knight with a big superkick! Bron says he saw Dolph Ziggler's match and he was pretty impressed. Bron says he was a bit shocked Dolph could still go in the ring considering he's been stuck teaming on Main Event for the past year. Dolph laughs that off saying that Bron's way in over his head. Dolph says he's a former World Heavyweight Champion, which if Bron can recall, is something his daddy was never able to do! Dolph says that he wants a shot at the NXT Championship not because he needs it, but because it deserves better than being held by a third-rate Steiner! Bron laughs and tells Dolph that this is why his stand-up career never took off. Bron finishes by saying that he'll accept Dolph's challenge...

Bron Breakker: "I'll accept your challenge Dolph, in two weeks it's going to be Bron Breakker vs Dolph Ziggler for the NXT Championship! And don't worry, after I'm done with you, I'll send you back to the indies with your old cheerleading squad!"

Loving the dynasty so far. I was just wondering if off game you’re running WWE too or just NXT.

I'm running both! Obviously I don't put as much effort into the main roster booking as I do with NXT, but it makes running NXT a lot easier than having the AI run the main roster.
