Boxing as an Active Olympic Sport

Not really a big deal at all, but having Boxing as an 'Active Olympic Sport' choice in the editor, and external competition, would be nice for immersion.

It's weird because there is in fact a 'spot' for it. But I think it's just unrealistic as it opens only to "world class boxers" and it might be forbidden to enter if you're "professionally" employed.

I'm very happy with this feature as it was requested, but it's only relevant for very specific workers, so a modder should pay attention to this. It will also result in them being unavaible for up to 2 years to 'train' for it, which is just restricting gameplay so meant for "part-timers".

 

Realistically, it just doesn't happen. UFC fighters obviously don't qualify as they are under contract (only fighters under non-exclusive deals are eligable!). I know that Ben Askren decided to have another go at the Olympic Qualifiers during his MMA career. I doubt he actually did it or made it or it would've been news.

 

As there's one world class pankration worker in my mod, I put it on for the Olympics, but it's unrealistic obviously.
