ReapeR
Thurs, WK3, Sep 2021 My phone rang just as the news feed came across my TV. "In tragic news, local wrestler, James Diaz dies in freak accident. The details are unclear, but it appears Diaz was crushed under a runaway steamroller when Diaz pushed a dog out of the way. Diaz was 20 years old" I stared at the screen as Tamara attempted to get my attention on the phone. The next couple of days, weeks were a blur of phone calls, condolences and a whole lot of crying. The funeral was beautiful. They had to turn people away and the outpouring of love and support was overwhelming. A couple of days after the funeral, I sat in my chair, staring at the screen. I knew I needed to make changes to our storylines. James had been apart of the Legendary Sons and was starting a title storyline with DWN when... he left us. I just stared at the screen, not knowing what to do. Then almost out of thin air, I remembered what James' dad, Raymond, told me after the funeral. "The show must go on. Your shows must go on. James would want you and the rest of the guys in the back, to continue." It was so cliche', but it was true. We would honor James, but wCw would continue. ReapeR
wCw MAYHEM OCT 2021 WED WK2 Live at the Bay County Fair Grounds Panama City, FL 202 in attendance HONORING ONE OF OUR OWN https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/n230/jhall2129/CVFP_WhiteAnnouncer_015.jpg I come to the ring as the rest of the roster come out behind me. I raise the mic to speak, but the words don't come out. The crowd take over for me. "JAMES DIAZ... JAMES DIAZ..." I let the crowd chant until they quiet down on their own. "As you all know, we lost one of our family members last month. James was with us from day one. When I started wCw, James was one of the first people I called to come work here. He was a once in a lifetime worker, but more importantly, he was a once in a lifetime person. James would want us to continue with our lives as well as with the show. So that is what we are going to do. But first, I ask each and every one of you to please stand as we salute James." As one, the entire crowd come to their feet. The silence becomes deafening just as the bell rings, ten times. DWN smirks, a little of his old self returning. "You're on." Immediately, Dreadnaught slides into the ring behind DWN as Original Sinner and Chip Martin step out behind Avatar. Avatar throws his hands up and moves past the Legendary Sons, without incident. Dreadnaught grabs DWN by the collar and slams his other hand against the title on DWN's shoulder with a thunderous slap. "After your warm up with Jack be nimble, you and me for that title, at The Clash of the Champions!" DWN's eyes go wide as he looks up at the huge man in front of him. "Umm, well, tonight was the end of my open chall..." Dreadnaught pulls DWN close to him, face to face with the masked monster, DWN noticeably swallows. "I WASN'T ASKING, CHAMP!!!"
