As before there remains two brands within WWE, Monday Night Raw & Friday Night Smackdown, however unlike before when every now and again superstars would randomly appear on the other show, the brands are now 100% exclusive, meaning should you be drafted to the Raw brand, that's where you'll remain unless drafted or in the build-up to Survivor Series. Roman Reigns & The Uso's will be exempt from the above rule until one of their titles have been lost, they will then feature on the brand in which there remaining title belongs. Current champions will also feature on the brand associated with the title in their possession. The first Raw of the series promises lots of surprises & announcements going forward under the new management. Triple H Speaks first welcoming everybody to the new era of WWE.... He says it's about time the brands within WWE actually mean something other than just being a show on Monday and another on Friday, He goes on to say that superstars across both brands will be fighting it out with their rival show to see who can deliver in the ratings. In order for this to be achieved each show needs their own General Managers...... Triple H says the manager of Raw shall Be......................... BOOKER T!!!!! Stephanie then goes on about how she once ran Smackdown and knows exactly what it takes to be the best show in WWE and therefore has chosen a General Manager worthy of leading such a prestigious brand such as Smackdown!......... JOHN "BRADSHAW" LAYFIELD Both men make their way to the ring and thank HHH & Stephanie for the opportunity. HHH says before we get into each man's first picks for their brands, there are a few rules. First - Roman & The Uso's are exempt from the brands and can appear on both shows as they have both Raw & Smackdown Titles, once they lose one title, they may then be drafted to the brand in which they still have a title for. Second - After discussing with other members of management, Both the 24/7 & Womens Tag Team Titles are being retired from the roster. Third - Current Title Holders will automatically be assigned to the brand in which the title is currently designated. Fourth - Stables & Tag Teams can be drafted as a whole, or separately should you not want certain superstars. Lastly - Injured superstars are not eligible for the draft but can be acquired once ready for in ring action. As Booker T Won the coin toss backstage Raw will have the first pick, Booker T steps forward and announces that the first member of the Raw Brand will be JBL tells Booker that he's made a good choice, but his is a great choice and to echo the words of Steph & HHH, best for business and best for Smackdown, his first pick is... Booker T smirks, A great pick he informs JBL, but is it PHENOMENAL? Raws second pick is JBL Laughs, damn he was my next pick he says but not to worry he thought this may happen, so he was prepared, Smackdowns second pick.... Triple H Informs both men that the first picks for their respected brands have been nothing short of amazing and cannot wait to see who goes where, as the night progress', but now is the time to get MONDAY NIGHT RAW started! JBL says it's time to invest in the future here on Smackdown and he can think of nobody better who fits that category more than his first pick of the evening Booker T doesn't look fazed by this selection and instead says he's looking to bring in more Star Power to Monday nights and that he can think of no better person to have on Raw than his first pick. Bianca Belair vs. Liv Morgan Champion vs. Champion Liv Morgan & Bianca Belair finished in a double count out in 11:57 after neither superstar could make it back into the ring for the 10 count. Match Rating (77) Post-Match Segment After the match Alexa Bliss' music hits and she makes her way down to the ring, she walks straight up to Liv Morgan and gets in her face, both have words for each other as they face off before Liv backs away and raises her title above her head, Bliss just stairs seemingly signalling her intentions to compete for the title. Jinder Mahal in 11:34 with a Claymore Kick Match Rating (77) Backstage Segment Ziggler & Roode are backstage where Roode is hyping Ziggler for his Main Event Match with AJ Styles, Dawkins & Ford walk by and taunt Ziggler saying as usual he'll probably fail at his shot, could even be his last shot in the WWE before walking off. And that person is none other than Raws brand new signing...... Von Wagner & Mr. Stone make their way to ringside, Miz asks who the hell he is, Mr. Stone simply informs Miz that he's about to find out exactly who Von Wagner is. Braun Strowman vs. Sheamus No.1 Contender Tournament Match Braun Strowman Def. Sheamus in 18:44 following the Running Power Slam Match Rating (76) Post-Match Segment Following his win Strowman Continues to celebrate, this is when the Brawling Brutes begin to attack Strowman in a 3 on 1 Situation, however Strowman overpowers the 3 men and fights them off sending them retreating up the ramp. Bianca Belair Segment Bianca makes her way to the ring; she hypes the crowd a little before listing all the women she has defeated since becoming the Raw Womens Champion and questions who is left on the roster who can step up... The lights go down before Asuka's music and pyro goes off. Asuka stays on the ramp but challenges Bianca for the Championship, Bianca doesn't answer but raises her title in the air seemingly accepting the challenge. Bobby Lashley Vs. Damian Priest Bobby Lashley Def. Damian Priest via DQ in 18:11 when Priest attacked Lashley with a chair. Match Rating (80) Post-Match Beatdown Once again after the match Judgment Day continue their beatdown on Lashley for the second week in a row this time putting the United States Champion through the announce table, Balor once again grabs Lashley's title and raises it in the air. JBL's Announcement JBL welcomes everyone to tonight's Smackdown, He goes on to inform everyone that tonight there will be two "Beat the Clock" matches for both Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns with the winner choosing the stipulation of their title match at Extreme Rules. He then proceeds to say that like his fellow GM over on Raw he too has a brand-new signing for the Smackdown Brand, although his signing is not an NXT rookie but one of the best professional wrestlers to lace a pair of boots and one who should have been a world champion in this company already. SAMOA JOE!!!!!!! Joe's music hits and he receives a huge pop from the crowd in attendance, he comes to the ring and takes the mic from JBL, Joe says that he has returned for two reasons, firstly to be the WWE or Universal Champion he doesn't care which one, and secondly to hurt a lot of people who may want to step in between he and goal number 1 LA Knight Promo Kayla Braxton is backstage with LA Knight who continues on from last week saying that the stupid Max Dupri character is gone and those useless marks he was carrying around can go back to Main Event, NXT or even the Indies for all he cares, He's here to be the most successful man on this roster and he'll prove it, but not tonight, this dump of a city doesn't deserve to see him perform, he then puts on his sunglasses, smirks and walks off. New Day vs. The Uso's New Day Def. The Uso's in 17:42 after Woods got the suprise roll up on Jey. Match Rating (83) Post-Match Segment Post-Match Woods & Kofi roll out of the ring and head up the ramp celebrating and gesturing the titles around their waist, Jimmy & Jey are still in the ring and are furious at the finish of the match, Jey in particular seemingly wondering where Jimmy was. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Angel Shinsuke Nakamura Def. Angel in 9:11 with the Kinshasa. Match Rating (76) Post-Match Attack After the match Nakamura is celebrating when suddenly and un-provoked Happy Corbin attacks Nakamura from behind, laying him out with the end of days. Match Rating (70) Liv Accepts Bliss' Challenge Liv Morgan comes to the ring with a decent pop, she takes a mic and begins talking about her reign as Smackdown Womens Champion, how she's beaten Ronda Rousey not once but Twice and now it seems Alexa Bliss wants to step up, well she's not one to back down from a fight and accepts Bliss' challenge, but says that this isn't going to be just your run of the mill 1 vs. 1, Instead this match will be a Table Match. Edge vs. Mansoor Edge Def. Mansoor in 3:54 with the Spear. Match Rating (80) Austin Theory Mocks Edge Following Edge's win Austin Theory makes his way to the top of the ramp and begins taunting Edge, saying he's washed up and can only beat jobbers like Mansoor, Edge invites Theory to the ring to see just how washed up he is, to which Theory declines, so Edge challenges him to a match at Extreme Rules and again Theory says he isn't going to waste his time on a semi crippled loser like Edge and makes his exit. Matt Riddle vs. Kevin Owens Matt Riddle Def. Kevin Owens in 22:31 with the Bro Derek Match Rating (80) Kevin Owens Snaps Post-Match Riddle helps Owens back to his feet and offers his hand as a sign of respect, Owens pauses for a second and shakes Riddles hand, Riddle goes to turn away, but Owens doesn't let go. When Riddle turns around to see why Owens hasn't let go KO snaps and begins beating Riddle down, Eventually Owens ends up Power bombing Riddle on the side of the ring before putting him through the announce table.
