We have a view of the house, with a table in front of the house in a courtyard, on the tables drape, the WCW logo hangs down. The courtyard is filled with reporters. Behind the table is 3 chairs. All of a sudden, the cameras begin to flash wildly as Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart & Harry Smith all walk out the front door of the house. Bret is wearing a Hitman t shirt with WCW on the back, Jim is wearing black trousers and a black short sleeved shirt and Harry Smith is wearing just shorts and a vest. All 3 men walk to their chairs (Bret in the middle, Jim on his right and our left, and Harry on Brets left and our right.) and stand in place as the cameras take shots once again with all 3 men behind the WCW banner on the table. They then sit down and Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart leans forward towards the microphone in front of him. [I]Anvil – “Thank you on behalf of the whole Hart Family for coming here today to Calgary for this special announcement. We are all very excited by the broken news that WCW will return led by the most influential family wrestling has ever seen. So I think its only right that we pass over to the man who will lead the World Championship Wrestling banner into the future…..the “Excellence of Execution”, he is….the one….the only BRET “HITMAN” HART!![/I] The paparazzi and fans cheer and clap as the Hitman acknowledges the Anvils kind words. He then begins to lean towards his mic……….. [I]Hitman – “Thanks Jim, Yes, its true WCW is back, and we are proud as a family to be able to bring back WCW to the fans across the wrestling world. I feel it’s a great honour to do so, and its down to my family that I have taken responsibility for doing this. Without my father Stu, I wouldn’t be a part of this business, and out of respect to him, I want to take WCW up to heights that he would have been proud of. He never got to see my step into his future steps, and I’ll be proud to now do so, with my family beside me. Secondly, the fans….. you guys have been great to me. Yes the WWE Hall of Fame was supposed to be a curtain caller for The Hitman, but I feel I need to give more to you, the fans. Taking on WCW isn’t just about personal gain though, its about sharing the wrestling world with my very own family, much like my father shared with us kids growing up in that Hart Dungeon. This time we can push the Hart Family to the world, as a thank you to all of you for supporting us for all these years. Each week we will be a different location until we are in Calgary. These events will be available also on Pay Per View. Anvil – “We can also confirm at this time the announcement of the WCW Canadian Championship which will be on the line at “Calgary Stampede”. This match promises to be a classic. The fans in attendance begin to cheer as the hallowed music of “The Hitman” Bret Hart, the WCW Owner, hits the PA system. The lights flicker pink all around the arena and entrance way, which incidentally looks a lot like the old WCW Thunder Rampway. Hart then enters through the curtain to huge pops and is followed by Jim Neidhart who is laughing and stroking his goatee!! Both men are wearing their Hart Foundation jackets and jeans. They taunt to the crowd and stand on the rampway. Neidhart pulls a mic out of his back pocket, and passes it to Bret. [I]Bret – “You know something, it feels great to be back in MSG! (pops) And tonight WCW returns to the world. And tonight is the very first in 4 hype events prior to the “Calgary Stampede”. Tonight we showcase the WCW Canadian Championship Match which we will see at the “Stampede”. That match will see “Bulldog” Harry Smith vs UFC Legend Andrei Arlovski! (pops) That match will be a 2 out of 3 falls affair, but tonight we will see Arlovski in action against another UFC Superstar, Tito Ortiz!!! (pops) And its UFC rules!! (pops). [/I] Bret puts the mic down and signals to the crowd and leaves through the curtain, WCW Chief of Staff Jim Neidhart follows suit. [B][CENTER]****[/CENTER][/B] We cut backstage and we see Nattie Neidhart holding a mic, she is outside the door of UFC & WCW Star Andrei Arlovski… [I]Nattie – “Im here outside the door to the changing room of Andrei Arlovski, I hope to get a few words with him before he faces Tito Ortiz here tonight. But first lets go over to Blade Hart who is with Harry Smith & TJ Wilson, the “Stampede Bulldogs”.[/I] (pops) [B][CENTER]****[/CENTER][/B] The camera then cuts to another area of the arena, and to the bar where we see Harry Smith & TJ Wilson sitting down at the bar drinking and Blade Hart walks into the bar with a microphone in his hand! He starts to walk towards the “Stampede Bulldogs”….. [I]Blade – “Hey Harry, Hey TJ! Can I grab a few words??” Harry – “Whats up Blade?” Blade – “Harry I wanted just a few words from you on tonights match between Ortix & Arlovski, and the match you have in a months time at “Calgary Stampede” in the Canadian Championship Match?!”[/I] [I]Harry – “Ya know Blade, im proud to be fighting for the championship, it may not be the WCW Heavyweight Title, but it’s a start…. Andrei will be a tough man to be beat, but im confident that I can beat the man at “Calgary Stampede” and become WCW Canadian Champion.” TJ – “You’ll be champ, Harry. Don’t you worry man” Harry – “We will see the great UFC fighter tonight, so im sure we will see what im up against tonight!!”[/I] Blade taps Harry on the arm [I]“Thanks guys”. [/I] Blade then strolls off leaving Wilson & Smith to drink their beer! [B][CENTER]****[/CENTER][/B] The camera cuts to Jim Neidhart backstage and he’s holding a mic! [I]Neidhart – “YEAH BABY!! WCW is back! And guess what?! Next week, in our second hype show, we will announce the 2 men who will fight at “Calgary Stampede” for the WCW Heavyweight Title!!!! (pops) And I can promise you….ITS GOOD!!!” (huge pops) Also Next week, we will see Andrei Arlovski’s opponent for Calgary Stampede, Harry Smith in action with his “Stampede Bulldog” Partner TJ Wilson, taking on two former WCW Champions in a tag team match!!!! Thank you for agreeing to this interview Andrei…. Andrei – “No problem baby, it’s a pleasure. Tonight, im making my WCW debut and I will prove to everyone that I aim to be the top man in the world of pro wrestling before the year is out. Tonight I will dismantle Tito Ortiz, if only to prove to Harry Smith, my opponent at “Calgary Stampede”, that I can beat him. I will destroy my opposition…..because I can…..”[/I] He drops the mic and begins to walk off!! [B][CENTER]****[/CENTER][/B] The bell rings in the arena as tonights match up will soon be under way. The commentary team for the match is Jim Neidhart & Harry Smith. Smith is obviously doing a bit of homework on his opponent. The backstage workers begin to assemble the UFC Octagon in the middle of the arena. The music of Tito Ortiz hits and the crowd give a nice pop to him as he makes his way down to the ring. Next out is Andrei Arlovski who gets a nice reaction, and he looks focused here tonight. [B][U]UFC Rules Match[/U] Tito Ortiz vs Andrei Arlovski[/B] Arlovski defeats Ortiz in 11minutes when he makes Tito Ortiz pass out in a neck & shoulder sleeper submission. Arlovski wins. Match Rating B+ The show goes off the air as Harry Smith stands up from the commentary booth by ringside and stares down Arlovski who is still in the Octagon. Attendance 11,249. Show was a success. The Ego Posted July 5, 2006 Author Share Posted July 5, 2006 [B][U][CENTER]PWTORCH - WCW New & Notes Week 1, July 2006.[/CENTER][/U][/B] Expect Harry Smith & Andrei Arlovski's match for the WCW Canadian Championship to go to the wire at Calgary Stampede in August. Both men are being built up for great things. The Stampede Bulldogs, Smith & TJ Wilson will be used as a semi-active tag team and not as a full team in the WCW Tag Division once it returns. WCW Owner Bret Hart, has himself been training Teddy Hart & Michael Hart together. Many see the creative team in the Hart Family pushing Teddy & Michael as "The New Hart Foundation". The jury is still out on whether Jim Neidhart will become an active member of the roster in August. The match we saw at "WCW Live in New York" between Ortiz & Arlovski was scripted between themselves. They are very good friends. Expect Ortiz to become a referee in WCWs re-launch. The announced WCW Title match will almost certainly be between just a selection of wrestlers. Many say either DDP, Samoa Joe, Vader or even Goldberg, the man who ended Bret Harts career could be in the match. Do not, however, rule out appearances from Hulk Hogan or even Steve Austin. The Stampede Bulldogs got a nice reaction and were on fire. [B]The Stampede Bulldogs defeat The Untouchables – A- Rating.[/B] [B]****[/B] We cut to a vignette for Andrei Arlovski who will face “Bulldog” Harry Smith at Calgary Stampede for the WCW Canadian Championship. Andrei is in a dark shadowy gym working away. Its got a very Rocky Balboa feel! [B]****[/B] We see footage of Bret Hart in the Hart Family Dungeon with two wrestlers (Michael Hart & Teddy Hart). We see Bret training them and taking them thorough holds, toughening them up and making them work as a team. Its ends with a black screen saying…. TO BE CONTINUED. [B]****[/B] We are backstage with WCW announcer Nattie Neidhart. She is standing next to a closed door and she holds up the mic…. [I]Nattie – “Ladies & Gentlemen, Behind this closed door, is one of the men set to face off for the WCW Heavyweight Title at Calgary Stampede next month. He is a former WWE Superstar, who im sure who will shock you here tonight…..”[/I] The crowd cheers as the door opens and a ****y looking man opens…its Mark Magnus aka Muhammed Hassan…..he smiles at Nattie with a cheeky grin, and before he can speak….wild laughs can be heard from behind him, he turns out the way, so the camera can see, and its Ted Dibiase!!!! [I]Ted – “HAHA!!! Everybodys got a price babe, That’s right, its me, Ted Dibiase!!! And im here in WCW to guide and be the mouthpiece of a man you could call “Marvellous”….an athlete you could call..”Million Dollar”……that’s right “Marvellous, Million Dollar” Mark Magnus!!![/I] [I]Nattie – “Wanna give the guy another name there Mr.Dibiase?!”[/I] [I]Ted – “Shut it sweetheart, this guy is here in WCW to destroy the competition with his precision…..you imagine the greatness of Ravishing Rick Rude, Mr Perfect Curt Hennig & well….Me, put together, and you get this man……Bret Hart may have invited us to WCW, but at “Calgary Stampede”, we are gonna take the Heavyweight Championship”[/I] Ted knocks the mic on the floor as Magnus closes the door smiling and laughing….
