Josh Barnett to start new Indy wrestling company & alliance.

Press release: Josh Barnett and The Alliance of Independent Wrestling board have announced the creation of a new superbloc of independent wrestling companies, as well as the birth of Philadelphia-based Rogue Pro Wrestling. With a focus on hard-hitting action and good storytelling, the company will broadcast a 1-hour weekly television show on Fox Sports 2, RPW Rogue's Den, as well as special premium events on FITE. The company will kick off with RPW 0th Anniversary: Index. The AIW will be a loose affiliation of companies with the intent of sharing talent across the world. "We want good wrestling and good wrestlers to be seen everywhere. We'll do business with anyone, just be a professional." said the AIW in a statement. The AIW currently consists of:

RPW Whose House?

 

Kicking off the card, PCO and Chris Sabin square off. The Motor City Machine Gun was having a good, competitive match with PCO, when a low blow and a PCO-sault ended his night.

Winner in 10:02 - PCO

The blowoff match between Kimber Lee and Serena Deeb, with the series tied 1-1, was a no DQ match by request of the women involved. A violent affair ended when Lee delivered a harsh chairshot, then a DDT onto the chair to put Deeb down.

Winner in 15:52 - Kimber Lee

We go to backstage, where we see Alexander Hammerstone talking with some people. Suddenly, he is attacked by Black Taurus, and as they brawl, Taurus spears Hammerstone through a door. 

Off that bombshell, we go to XXXL vs Breezus and PJ Black. The superheavyweights controlled much of the match until Romero was taken out by a PJ Black suicide dive, then an Unprettier ended Larry's night.

Winners in 13:53 - Breezus and PJ Black

Next, Chris Hero's one-man war on RPW continued, as after taking out Chris Sabin, he set his sights on Alex Shelley. The veteran bruiser bit off a little more than he could chew, as Shelley defeated him, earning Hero's respect.

Next up, Richard Holliday meanders to the ring with a briefcase, accompanied by his personal assistant Alisha Edwards. "Listen up, poors of Philadelphia!" The crowd boos harder. "I'm the greatest wrestler on the roster. And I'm willing to bet on it. See, I make a loooot of money. In this briefcase, there's 50 thousand dollars. And I'm putting up a challenge. Anyone who can beat me in under 15 minutes takes the money, tax free. So, who's first?"

Rey Horus answers the call! While the luchador is a tough challenge, Holliday takes him out with the Market Crash and keeps his money intact.

Winner in 11:32 - Richard Holliday

Swerve enters to the sweet sound of "Ain't Nobody", as the crowd comes unglued. He doesn't have to wait long for his opponent to come through the curtain. It's Buddy Matthews! The two men beat the hell out of each other, but in the end, Swerve wins with two consecutive double stomps.

As Swerve celebrates, Mauro announces the next PPV will be in December. RPW Bring the Swag will feature the debut of Angelo Dawkins!

RPW Bring the Swag

 

To start the show, we go straight into a tag match. Johnny Rogue teamed with Rey Horus to face Richard Holliday and Curt Stallion. With somehow 0 chemistry in the ring, talent shone through and they had a decent, if not spectacular match. Rogue hit Starship Pain on Stallion to take this one.

After his inexplicable attack against Alexander Hammerstone backstage, the strongman challenged Black Taurus to a match on PPV. These two beat the hell out of each other but brawled into the crowd for too long. This one isn't over.

After wars between Deonna Purrazzo, Kimber Lee, and Steph De Lander, some of the other women in the division felt the need to do something about it. Candace LeRae, Little Mean Kathleen, and Brandi Lauren put together a team to combat the unit. Unfortunately for them, Deonna has one heck of an armbar.

A tag team grudge match! After MCMG's Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin had singles battles with Sunny Dhinsa and Gzim Selmani of the Legion of Pain, the much-anticipated tag match delivered, as the two teams fought all over the ring. In the end, experience beat muscle.

Finally, the man who seems to hate RPW like no other took on the headline signing of the show! Chris Hero and his lethal knockout elbow faced off with Angelo Dawkins, who had been released solo from WWE. Their loss is our gain, as the big man of the former Street Profits proved himself, taking a win from Chris Hero.
