iwannabeacclaimed
LUCHA WILD WEST LUCHA OESTE INTRODUCTION Lucha Wild West, based out of the Wild West city of Amarillo, Texas, was founded by a mysterious masked businessman who goes by the pseudonym of Samurai delORO. (trans. [the] Golden Samurai) delORO claims to have traveled back in time from the lost golden city of El Dorado, ready to invest his money in our time. His heroes include Biff Tannen ca. Part II, Michael Scott, "Gory" Guerrero, and Elon Musk. As a booker, delORO favors a hard-hitting technical style that stirs up elements from Lucha Libre, Japanese Strong Style and King's Road Style, British and French catch wrestling, and the storytelling of the Western TV serials delORO claims to have grown up watching into a sort of wrestling chili. The nickname that delORO has for this style is Estilo Lucha Oeste. (trans. Lucha West Style) LWW Staff Samurai delORO is the President and CEO of Lucha Wild West. The announce team is comprised of a rotating team of Bullet Club West CEO Don Callis, Excalibur and roller derby legend Val Capone. The road agent team is lead by Lead Producer Arn Anderson, and also includes Kris Wolf, Excalibur, Terry Funk, Masahiro Chono, and Don Callis. Recurring Matches and Supercards The LWW Young Lions Cup is an annual single-elimination tournament for wrestlers who are either under 25 years of age as of the start date of the tournament OR who have wrestled less than 25 sanctioned professional matches. The winner of the Young Lions Cup receives 100 thousand US dollars to donate to a charity or cause of their choice as well as the right to carry and defend the tournament trophy for up to 365 days. The La Parka Memorial Trophy is an annual grand prix-style tournament. After a round of qualifying matches, the surviving 16 competitors are sorted into four groups of four at random. The participants of each group then face each other in two 10-minute round robin matches each. A win is worth 3 points, a time limit draw is worth 1 point, and a loss is worth 0 points. The top two finishers of each group qualify for the knockout stage, with ties being broken in order by most total group stage wins then least total group stage losses then least group stage total draws. If a group's tie is still not broken after these procedures, the tied competitors compete in a sudden-death match to determine the qualifying finisher(s). The winner of the La Parka Memorial Trophy earns a match at a future event where, upon successful defense of the Trophy, they earn a match for the LLW Grand Championship. Luchas de Apuestas are treated with a high level of reverence. Valid wagers in a sanctioned LWW Lucha de Apuesta include unmasking, shaving one's hair, a title or titles, one's career, and "loser leaves town." iwannabeacclaimed
Lucha Wild West Forever! 2022 Results Live from Dignity Health Sports Park In Carson, California, USA Live Attendance: 440 First Match: "Silver Bullet" Mike Bailey (w/ Arn Anderson) def. "Third Eye Open" Matt Sydal in 10:39 via submission (kneebar) Segment One: In a backstage interview, Arn Anderson announces formation of new wrestling team Team Double-A. He announces that by winning the opening contest, Bailey has earned a future match for the LWW All-Texas Championship. Second Match: KAIRI def. KZT (w/ Arn Anderson) in 7:42 via pinfall (Insane Elbow) Third Match: Frightmare def. Samuray del Sol (w/ Arn Anderson) - For the LWW All-Texas Championship in 15:18 via TKO (corner threw in towel while Samuray del Sol was locked in an Inverted Chikara Special) Segment Two: Kenny Omega cuts a backstage promo on his opponent in the main event Bandido, revealing that the Elite have started a new business concern in LWW with the goal of winning all the belts, called Bullet Club Gold Rush. Bullet Club Gold Rush is led by Don Callis and includes the Young Bucks and "our friends in low places, biding their time for the right moment to join us." He then mentions that he hopes to bring back the Kota Ibushi that he knew, the Kota Ibushi that put the Golden in Golden Lovers. He just wants his brother back, not some sad sack that walks around feeling sorry for himself. "では、幸田さん (sub: And so, Kota-San.) この機会に自分らしさを取り戻してください。(Take this opportunity to reclaim who you were.) 私たちは誰でしたか。(Who WE were.) 私たちは日本を支配しました。あなたが頭をまっすぐにすれば、私たちは再びそれを行うことができます.今夜から。(We ran roughshod all over Japan, and if you! can get your head on right we can do it again, starting tonight.) Goodbye! Goodnight! Bang!" Co-Main Event: Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen) def. Lucha Bros. (Penta Jr. and Fenix) - For the LWW Campeonatos de Parejas via pinfall (ropewalk Gin & Juice) in 13:02 Main Event of the Evening: Kenny Omega v. Bandido - For the LWW Grand Championship ran for 20:41 *Ding Ding Ding* Lenne Hardt "The following contest is your main event of the evening! This bout is one fall to a finish, with no time limit, and it is for the Lucha Wild West GRRRRRAAAAAAND CHAMPIONSHIP! "Bullet Club! For-for-for! Life!" Introducing first of all, on his way to the ring and representing Bullet Club Gold Rush, from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He weighs in tonight at 223 pounds. He is the CLEANER, Kenny OMEEEEEEEEEEGA!" Excalibur "Lenne Hardt, the legendary voice of Japanese MMA, setting the stage for what is destined to be an epic encounter in our main event of the evening, and at the risk of making things awkward at this table in the future, Val, Don Callis is a worm and I don't understand how anyone trusts this man." Val Capone "Excalibur, I'm so glad you said something. I don't trust Don Callis as far as I can throw him, and even at the peak of my derby career the answer to that particular equation was 'not very far.' But look, I pride myself in calling it down the middle. Even though Don Callis is, in fact, a piece of human garbage, it's impossible to deny that when wrestlers have him in their corner as a manager, they see results." Excalibur "Earlier in the evening, we heard Kenny Omega plead with Kota Ibushi to reclaim his former self. Omega, of course a long-time friend and road buddy of Ibushi. We understand that Kota Ibushi is in the building tonight, but just how does Kenny's plea play into Don Callis' schemes?" At 5:13, Omega hits a V-Trigger from a standing position on the ringside floor to knock a mid-tope Bandido out of the air. At 8:06 Bandido rushes Omega as he runs for the ropes to set up a V-Trigger and counters with the 21-Plex. Bridges over for the pin! 1! 2! Kickout at 2! At 12:03 Omega puts Bandido into position for the One-Winged Angel, but Bandido throws elbows to Omega's head reverses it into a Poisoned Frankensteiner. Into a cover! 1! 2! Omega's foot on the ropes at 2.5! At 14:12, Nick Jackson hops up onto the ring apron to try to distract referee Mio Shirai, but Bandido flies over Shirai to hit Jackson with a springboard Mexican Destroyer to the floor that bowls over both Matt Jackson and Don Callis as well. At 16:00, Kota Ibushi's music hits. He runs out and brawls with both of the Young Bucks to the back. Don Callis sheepishly follows. At 18:36, Omega hits Bandido with three consecutive V-Triggers in the corner. As he drags Bandido to the middle of the ring it looks like this is going to be it. Bandido looks absolutely lifeless. Here's the cover! 1! 2! NO! Shoulder up at the very last possible millisecond and Omega is furious! At 19:20, Bandido goes for an inverted Spanish Fly, but Omega slips out mid-flip and rolls to the outside to re-strategize. At 20:21, Omega hits a German Suplex and holds on for a RAAAAINMAKER! V-Trigger! V-Trigger running off the ropes! How the hell is Bandido still standing? The Fighting Spirit in this man will not die! Omega hits the ropes three times for ANOTHER V-Trigger! That one caught Bandido right on the button and he's dazed! He's still standing but there's no light behind those eyes! Omega lifts Bandido up on his shoulders! Tucks the head! Here it comes! ONE-WINGED ANGEL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING! Hooks the leg! 1! 2! 3!!! Lenne Hardt "Here is your winner and the FIRST Lucha Wild West GRRRRRRRRRRAND CHAMPION, "The Cleaner" Kenny OOOOOMEGAAAAA!" As the show fades to black, Ibushi runs back out, his knuckles bruised and bloodied. He and Kenny stand on opposite sides of the ring from one another, staring each other down, the Man in Black and the Man in White seemingly destined for one last showdown.
