Promotion & TV questions

Recommended Posts

I'm in the process of creating some feds and was wondering about scheduling and television and some ancillary issues as well. First, what's the effective difference between constant and touring? Is the game self-regulating in this respect? For example, say a promotion is set to tour for 11 months a year, 4 shows a week. Would the game reduce that or just go with it when a new game is started? As far as TV goes, is there a size minimum associated with having a TV show? If a promotion is the child of a larger one, would that override the size minimum (assuming one exists)? Matches per event/TV show - is this overridden if set incorrectly? I'm going with high/high for the promotions I'm creating, figuring that's the best way to ensure all available personnel is used as much as possible. Just wondering if the game will actually follow these instructions to the letter or whether there are underlying rules that may override them.

Touring means they'll only do shows on the months you set, with the amount of shows being defined by you. I believe there's a maximum amount you can set for months \ show per week, but I can't remember it off the top of my head. Thanks tons, Adam that helps a lot. One more thing though. I noticed that promotions don't use development companies at all. For example, I set AAA as the parent company of Crush Wrestling Alliance (CWA) and AAA basically ignores them. They don't send any talent to them and don't get any talent from them. In fact, workers signed to both promotions always wind up appearing for both of them since their schedules don't conflict (by design). The same for 5SSW and their child promotion LLPW. I had thought that by setting them as parent-child that they would be used as kinda like minor league affiliates, like WWE does with OVW and DSW. I noticed in the editor that there's a contract option for 'developmental contract' but that doesn't seem to happen at all ingame. I don't see anyone with anything but verbal or written. No exclusive verbal or developmental contracts at all. Is this something that takes years to develop or does the AI just not use that feature at all?
