alexr5111
I know this won't be for everybody and I didn't want to hijack the other threads but I thought it would be kind of fun to do some midjourney renders of existing fighters. They actually take longer than you'd think due to Midjourney's stubbornness. For anyone who doesn't know what it is, Midjourney is one of the better AI image generators out there. For anyone who has ever used MJ, you know it has a tendency to do some weird inexplicable things sometimes (particularly when it comes to hands, gloves) so it forgive any weird variations you may see. Also, because it's so hard to replicate the same character, the head shots will just be close up crops of the action photo Feel free to make your own and post them. I'll just do some here and there for fun. Edited April 13, 2023 by alexr5111

alexr5111
Okay it was way too much of a pain to try to get them to look like preexisting fighters so I've just started doing random ones

Blackman
Wow, those look really good. As MJ doesn't do free trials anymore, I applied somewhere else (Leonardo) and got some decent results, though not the quality you seem to get with MJ. Here's some examples, but boy... there's a lot of mangled arms and the other tropes. I first tried the female weights, but the characters on the tops are also mangled as usual. As with MJ, this one does take 'some' effort in getting some suitable pictures to feed it. However, these are made using the standard UD2.1 model and not my proper one. To anyone interested: this is a selection of a 100+ lesser looking ones, so you often get crap and have a limited number of tries as a trial user. I might consider subbing for a month or two, but what's the point? Either we release a full freefighters pack for the reallife pack. It seems very hard to replace the C-verse workers with these as it's difficult desribing their appearance. I'll try a more "portrait" style tomorrow like the ones you posted. But literaly anyone with time can contribute to this. It doesn't cost any money (yet :p), so if a lot of people collaborate, you can get a sizable database together. For "very easy" mode, you can try SoulGen where it's just a basic description that can result in these more cartoony but imo suitable renders for a real life mod:
Raufbold_2
could you share your prompts? I do have a subscription currently and was doing a few of my own, but more in the 3d render style
Blackman
The prompts I use are very simple. I see a lot of people using a crapload of them, but I fail to see their effect in the resulting render. Even a bunch negative prompts like "mangled hands", but I'd be surprised if thàt would solve the issue. XD I tried using "four-fingered", but that just mangles them more. I use "female" then either "athlete" or "fighter", the desired hair lenght and colour, "short top, shorts", "looking at viewer", and then "hdr" or "highly detailed" but I doubt those have an effect. And that's pretty much it. The rest is given by the picture/pose you upload. I feed it a picture I rendered, or one of the UFC portraits you use. Leonardo has a script that deviates a little from the original, with sometimes nice results. Yours seem very close to the originals. You can sometimes deduct the real life fighter behind it. But then again, the clothing and hands are really close to the original. Would also be interested in the prompts of others. The styles vary based on the finetuned models. I'll post some others later using a more artsy style.
Raufbold_2
For these I used a source picture (usually a Default render from WMMA5), sometimes adding a photo of a real-life fighter to mash with it, the rest is visible in the file name. For example, the last two are a mix of Ivanov from WMMA5 and Emelianenko, whereas the previous one is Alistair van der Moot, sometimes mixed with Overeem. There's also a derivative of Rousey, Grasso and a few others

wesstukko
How do you guys prompt? I have MidJourney and it's great but a lot of my Renders and MMA fighters look incredibly unrealistic and cartoonish. Any way to make fighters at smaller weight classes and/or not like an Anime fighter?
Raufbold_2
give it something to work with, like 4-6 images of a fighter that you want the result to look like, then add the prompt itself. Mine can be seen in the file names, something along the lines of: full length shot of a tall and slim female featherweight latino UFC fighter posing while flexing muscles, smiling and looking confident wearing UFC gloves and yellow-green shorts and vest, realistic 3d art style, isolated on white background, hi-res --ar 2:3 Here's the result:
