DownNDirty Posted July 11, 2006 Share Posted July 11, 2006 Well, not trying to steal the thunder of anyone else doing a tournament type of diary here but mine will be a bit different. No long match results, at least not at first. Here's the idea and I'm working on it as I type this so I'll lay it all out once I get it together. This will be setup kind of like the NCAA Basketball tournament. 64 wrestlers from all around the world with tons of wrestlers having the chance to make "The Big Dance." Each promotion will have a mini tournament with the winner guaranteed to make the 64 man King of Kings tournament. Though, some of them will transfer more than 1 man depending on the size of the promotion. Then, depending on the results of each tournament the "regions" will be seeded and the 64 man tournament will begin. I'll figure out how many wrestlers from each promotions tournament will transfer when I get it all down on paper. Each promotion with enough wrestlers will have a 16 man tournament, others may have to have an 8 man tournament. The promotion tournaments will be seeded by me attempting to seed each promotion 1-16 or 1-8 and doing it just like the NCAA's. Whew, hope that made a lick of sense. It's just like the NCAAs as I've said before - meaning 1VS16, 8VS9, 6VS11, 4VS13 in one bracket and in the other it's 3VS14, 5VS12, 7VS10, and 2VS15.
