To prevent one manager making wholesale changes at the expense of everybody else, each manager is only allowed to make one signing per day. While signing a wrestler is done first come first served based on whoever posts or private messages me the earliest, this will prevent somebody potentially making big changes and sweeping up all the top available wrestlers in one go. Three big names will become free when Team Swerve disbands after the season, there are wrestlers who entered the Forbidden Door that may well be staying and there are a couple of other hopeful new signings that will be in demand. This will prevent one person from signing all or most of these at the expense of everyone else. One exception is @christmas_ape. As he is losing two wrestlers due to retirement, I shall allow two signings on their first day signing wrestlers, reverting to one like everybody else afterwards. Team managers can make as many changes as they want during the upcoming signing/transfer window, but I will limit the signings to one per calendar day (based on United Kingdom time as it's where I live). Also, if there is anybody on your team that you want to release right now ahead of the signing/transfer window starting you can now do so. Please let me know if there is. Anybody released will still compete in this week's fixtures, they will become free agents after the week and season has finished. Question about signing.... With us chosing a ringside manager. Are we going to pick those at the beginning and do they count as the one signing per day rule?

Signing your initial manager won't count in the one signing per day rule. If you wish to change your manager, then it will.

Nobby_McDonald
ZERO HOUR Orange Cassidy & Swerve Strickland beat Second Gear Crew (Manders & Matthew Justice) in 8:13 when Cassidy pinned Justice with an Orange Punch. 65 Cassidy 67, Strickland 78, Manders 44, Justice 43 Sami Zayn beat El Desperado in 8:03 by pinfall with a Brainbuster. 73 (I missed the ratings) Trinity beat Stephanie Vaquer in 8:42 by pinfall with a Nightfalls. 56 Trinity 49, Vaquer 55 FORBIDDEN DOOR 2024 Sunday, week 4, June 2024 Nagoya Civic General Gymnasium, Nagoya, Chubu, Japan (10,000 capacity) Announcers: Excalibur, Taz and Tony Schiavone Tony Khan is in the ring, welcoming and thanking the near capacity crowd in attendance for their support tonight and thanking the Japanese people for their wonderful hospitality during AEW's week in the land of the rising sun... He continues by saying he is also here to introduce someone... Nikki Storm walks down to the ring... and you get the feeling this would get a much bigger reaction from the crowd in America, as the Japanese fans politely applause... Khan introduces Nikki Storm as being All Elite before he passes her the mic... she hisses a few times into the mic before she says she's going to knock some heads off. 33 Khan benefitted from public support. v AEW WORLD TRIOS CHAMPIONSHIP Blackpool Combat Club (champions) v Hechicero (Mexican National Light Heavyweight champion), El Bárbaro Cavernario (CMLL World Light Heavyweight champion) & Místico The show is only a few minutes in and we already have our second surprise as Hechicero's partners are a champion and a legend. And they give the champions a few problems, it certainly wasn't a straight forward title defence. Místico in particular came close to winning the titles for Mexican a couple of times. Ultimately the champions managed to retain in 8:52 when Moxley submitted Cavernario with a Bulldog Choke. 64 Castagnoli 59, Moxley 75, Yuta 51, Hechicero 55, Cavernario 62, Místico 73 Backstage and Maki Itoh is addressing Jamie Hayter and the Women's World Championship... she says she will get revenge on Hayter for her recent attack and is going to become the World champion in her home country. 65 v Samoa Joe v Jeff Cobb This was a really good, very hard hitting match between two brutes. Cobb has looked very good since his recent rearrival in AEW and he probably just about had the better of Joe overall in this match. Joe's not a former World champion for nothing though, he toughed it out and took the spoils in 9:30 by submission with a Kokina Clutch. 69 Joe 65, Cobb 71 Cobb benefitted by being in amazing form We are backstage and this time we see the Women's World champion Jamie Hayter, who has Dr Britt Baker D.M.D. and Rebel with her. She says Itoh can talk all she wants... the champ does her talking with her fists in the ring... and around ten thousand Japanese fans will be disappointed later on when Itoh gets hayted. 67 v AEW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP Roderick Strong (champion, with Adam Cole, Matt Taven, Mike Bennett & Wardlow) v KENTA (NEVER Openweight champion) A decent enough match though one that was standard wrestling with nothing too exciting. Even Undisputed Kingdom didn't get involved much at ringside. And perhaps they should, as a new champion was crowned in 11:56 when KENTA won by pinfalled with a KENTA Combo Into Busaiku Knee. 58 Strong 55, KENTA 59 Strong and KENTA have pretty good chemistry Roderick Strong's win streak ends at 5 Kenny Omega is backstage where he calls Hiromu Takahashi a legend here in Japan and it is an honour to be back in his second home to fight a legend... Omega says he has been looking forward to it since the match was announced... and looking forward to winning the match. 74 v Mercedes Moné v Macey Estrella Estrella's in ring debut in AEW and she possibly couldn't have had a harder opponent. Moné is one of the top women not only in AEW, but all of wrestling. And it seemed like Estrella was out of her depth. Moné didn't have to be at her best yet she still won with some in hand. Victory came in 11:03 by submission with a Bank Statement. 55 Moné 62, Estrella 35 Moné was really off her game Moné has had 10 singles matches, winning 9 A video package plays, previewing the World Tag Team Championship match between Lucha Brothers versus Minoru Suzuki and Tomohiro Ishii. 50 v AEW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Lucha Brothers (champions, with Alex Abrahantes) v Minoru Suzuki (IWGP World Heavyweight champion) & Tomohiro Ishii Two ultra tough men challenge the exciting champions who are on as big a roll in AEW as anybody has been. As tough as they are, Suzuki and Ishii weren't able to keep up in terms of speed as the champions, and this quickness advantage led to the champions retaining in 13:33 when Fénix pinned Ishii with an Assisted Fear Factor. 75 Penta 81, Fénix 88, Suzuki 63, Ishii 64 Nobby's Note - Should I have put this higher up the card like I was thinking? We shall see... Hiromu Takahashi is backstage in one of his usual colourful outfits. He says he appreciates the words that Kenny Omega came out with earlier... but it's not going to change the fact that Hiromu Takahashi is in the ring to beat Kenny Omega. 68 v MJF v Matt Riddle There's a lot of intrigue into Matt Riddle's in ring debut. How will his laid back demeanour fare in AEW where the action is often hard and fast faced. And how would he do pitched in the first time of asking against one of AEW's best? The answer was OK, but he was pretty much always second best to MJF in this one. The match was decent enough. MJF was simply better than Riddle. The former World champion won in 14:55 by submission with a Salt Of The Earth. 68 MJF 69, Riddle 56 A video package plays showcasing the recent feud between Jamie Hayter and Maki Itoh, leading to tonight's Women's World Championship match. 43 v AEW WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Jamie Hayter (champion, with Dr Britt Baker D.M.D. and Rebel) v Maki Itoh (with Hikaru Shida and Riho) A good match that justified the build up it had been getting. Itoh got close to winning the championship a few times, the home crowd getting increasingly louder every time she did. Hayter though dug deep, got back in control and sealed the deal in 16:36 by pinfall with a Curb Stomp. 65 Hayter 69, Itoh 57 Hayter and Itoh benefitted from public support Zack Sabre Jr is backstage where he talks about who the best technical wrestler is (he is)... he talks about who is the toughest wrestler (he is). and who will walk out of Forbidden Door as the AEW World champion (he will darling). 67 v Drew Galloway v SANADA A great crowd that were firmly behind the home favourite SANADA. Things weren't going his way though as Galloway battled throughout to gain control of the contest. Then ringside got busy as The EVPs and Adam Page came to ringside to distract Galloway. This brought out Eddie Kingston and Steve Austin, who fought The EVPs to the back. With referee Rick Knox distracted by that, out of the mayhem Adam Page vaulted into the ring and nailed a Buckshot Lariat on Galloway. This allowed SANADA to pick up the win in 12:57 by pinfall with a Rounding Body Press, leaving the Japanese fans conflicted as to whether be happy that SANADA won, or unhappy by the manner it happened. 66 Galloway 78, SANADA 63 Galloway benefitted from a hot new move Galloway is getting better at his gimmick A video package plays previewing the TNT Championship match up next between Adam Copeland and KUSHIDA. 53 v AEW TNT CHAMPIONSHIP COPE OPEN Adam Copeland (champion) v KUSHIDA (TNA World Tag Team champion) A decent match though the finish to the last match seems to have dampened the crowd's spirits somewhat. Copeland was close to losing his title on a few occasions and can perhaps think himself a little lucky to keep hold of it when he got the win in 16:22 by pinfall with a Spear. 64 Copeland 60, KUSHIDA 68 Bryan Danielson is backstage, the AEW World Championship belt draped over his left shoulder. Danielson says Zack Sabre Jr is one of the best technical wrestlers in the world... but so is he and it's why he is the AEW World champion... he promises that he and Sabre Jr will put on a technical clinic for the fans watching in the arena and on pay per view. 74 v Kenny Omega v Hiromu Takahashi (IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion) Thankfully The Elite stay away from this match, perhaps Austin and Kingston are still fighting The EVPs. Everybody was glad they did, this match was superb, between two well matches wrestlers who left nothing in the ring. While the crowd were rooting for their countryman Takahashi to win, they were equally appreciative of what Omega did in the ring. Omega won a close match in 19:22 by pinfall with a V-Trigger. 77 - match of the night Omega 82, Takahashi 80 A video package plays recapping the recent history between Bryan Danielson and Zack Sabre Jr ahead of the main event. 61 v AEW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Bryan Danielson (champion) v Zack Sabre Jr Another superb match, very much mat focused and had the fans entralled in the near half hour it went on for. It was the technical clinic Danielson said it would be, though the match wasn't won by a hold, a submission or a spectacular move, it was won by a good old stiff strike. Danielson retained in 26:45 by pinfall with a Busaiku Knee. 77 - match of the night Danielson 91, Sabre Jr 85 Danielson and Sabre Jr have great chemistry Danielson has won 10 singles matches (out of 11) Show rating: 75 AEW gained popularity in 1 region Attendance: 9,776 Buy rate: 0.17 (86,733 buys) Forbidden Door was AEW's 7th best show in 2024 Bryan Danielson v Zack Sabre Jr was AEW's 17th best match in 2024 Kenny Omega v Hiromu Takahashi was AEW's 20th best match in 2024 Forbidden Door drew AEW's 4th highest crowd in 2024 Forbidden Door drew AEW's 4th highest buy rate in 2024 QUICK RESULTS Bryan Danielson beat Zack Sabre Jr to retain the World Championship (3 defences, 63 days) Kenny Omega beat Hiromu Takahashi Adam Copeland beat KUSHIDA to retain the TNT Championship (6 defences, 63 days) SANADA beat Drew Galloway Jamie Hayter beat Maki Itoh to retain the Women's World Championship (3 defences, 63 days) MJF beat Matt Riddle Lucha Brothers beat Minoru Suzuki & Tomohiro Ishii to retain the World Tag Team Championship (3 defences, 63 days) Mercedes Moné beat Macey Estrella KENTA beat Roderick Strong to win the International Championship (Strong's reign ends at 105 days) Samoa Joe beat Jeff Cobb Blackpool Combat Club beat Hechicero, El Bárbaro Cavernario & Místico to retain the World Trios Championship (2 defences, 63 days) Trinity beat Stephanie Vaquer (Zero Hour) Sami Zayn beat El Desperado (Zero Hour) Orange Cassidy & Swerve Strickland beat Second Gear Crew (Zero Hour) Edited August 30 by Nobby_McDonald

Nobby_McDonald
@christmas_ape @DinoKea @stratusfaction @Dawn @PH71 @KyTeran AEW LEAGUE SEASON 2 RULES Rules in bold are new to Season 2. LEAGUE A minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 teams can compete in the league. A team can be expelled from the league from the next season at my discretion due to inactivity. New teams have the opportunity to sign 5 wrestlers to start their roster for the next season before the close season signing/transfer window opens, to give them a fair opportunity to start building their roster. New teams are to be included at my discretion. MATCHES Each team faces each other in men singles, men tag, men trios, women singles, women tag and women trios, giving 6 matches against each team. All matches have a 20 minute time limit. 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw. Each team is guaranteed at least one match every week, unless they have either fulfilled their fixtures for the season or the manager requests a week off for personal reasons. These requests need to be made in advance. A team will not face any other team twice in the same week. Matches will generally take place on Dynamite and Collision. Occasionally one might be on Rampage to avoid schedule conflicts with storylines or to fit in matches if a team is behind with their matches at the end of the season. Each team can have a ringside manager, who is the only person allowed at ringside. This is not compulsory, though there are benefits to having one. TEAMS & SELECTIONS Squad size maximum is 8, of which a maximum of 4 men and a maximum of 4 women. All wrestlers must compete in a minimum of 3 matches in the season, or they will be automatically be released from their team at the end of the season. One manager can be signed to be at ringside for their team. Each team has a set number of manager cards that can be used once during the season. These will be detailed for the start of each season. Each week's fixtures are posted on the forum, along with a deadline for the selections for those matches. In the past there has always been at least 3 days for selections to be made, usually more. If a selection isn't made, then I shall make the selections on the manager's behalf using a random number selector (no manager cards will be played). SIGNING/TRANSFER WINDOWS Any active wrestler in my save game can be signed to a team in the AEW League, provided they either have, or can be signed to an AEW contract in game. There are two signing/transfer windows, where a team manager can release and sign wrestlers for any reason One of those is is in the close season, the other is mid season. There will be communication in the forum when these are and when they are open and closing. A wrestler signing in one signing/transfer window cannot be released from the team until at least the next signing/transfer window unless they become available (see below). A wrestler released in one signing/transfer window cannot be resigned by the same team until the next window opens. They can be signed by other teams as soon as they are released. A wrestler can be signed from another team in a signing/transfer window, provided the other manager agrees to release them. Signings are made on a first come first served basis. So if two teams want to sign the same wrestler, the team that signs them will be who posted or private messaged me first, according to the time on the forum. Only one signing can be made per calendar day (based on UK time) unless I state otherwise. You must make your signings by name, not by any other means (for example the most over wrestler available). The same rules apply to ringside managers. WRESTLER UNAVAILABILITY If a wrestler becomes unavailable for 2 weeks or less, they cannot be replaced. If a wrestler becomes unavailable for longer than 2 weeks and up to 2 months, they can be replaced by a loan signing if the manager chooses. The unavailable wrestler will then take their place back in the squad when they return. The unavailable wrestler cannot be permanently be replaced and the loan signing must be a free agent. If a wrestler becomes unavailable for longer than 2 months, then the manager can choose to replace them permanently, even if the signing/transfer window is not open. If a wrestler leaves AEW, they must be replaced. MISCELLANEOUS Team managers are allowed to ask the perception level or overness of any wrestler up to five times from the end of one season to the end of the next season (ie covering the close season and the whole league season). This applies to any wrestler, including members of your squad. Edited August 30 by Nobby_McDonald

Nobby_McDonald
@christmas_ape @DinoKea @stratusfaction @Dawn @PH71 @KyTeran FREE AGENT LIST This is a list of all active wrestlers and managers that have longer than 3 months on their contract in my AEW (or shorter if I am likely to extend their contract) and who are free agents in the AEW League. I shall not include anybody who is on a short term deal that I am not or unlikely to keep, nor anybody on short term set appearance deals. Of course, you are free to sign anybody not on this list to your teams as well, as long as they can and are willing to sign a long term (ie at least 6 months) contract in my AEW game. If they won't, I will let you know (for example Kazuchika Okada in Season 1). I am not including perception levels. While they are a factor in my giving each team a win % chance for each match, they are not the only factor and I feel including them for all wrestlers will steer everyone to certain wrestlers. In addition, you can have a good guess by who is fighting who at what level of the card. In addition, I have just added a new rule to the rules post above where each manager can ask for a wrestler perception level up to 5 times per close season and league season combined (ie starting now until the end of Season 2). Also I have not included anybody who has signed a contract but has yet to make their debut. That would spoil the surprise of their debut. Nobby_McDonald
@christmas_ape @DinoKea @stratusfaction @DinoKea @PH71 @KyTeran THE CLOSE SEASON SIGNING/TRANSFER WINDOW IS NOW OPEN The window will be open for the next 4 in game weeks (so a little longer real life weeks). When it closes, Season 2 will start. Remember you are allowed one signing per calendar day, as per UK time. This includes managers after you have signed your initial manager. The one exception is The Spooky Club @christmas_ape who I am allowing to make two signings when they make their first signing, due to losing two wrestlers to retirement. Nobby_McDonald
On 8/22/2024 at 7:36 PM, Nobby_McDonald said: SEASON 2 ADDITIONAL PROPOSED RULE CHANGE - VOTING @christmas_ape @DinoKea @stratusfaction @Dawn @PH71 @KyTeran Following the introduction of ringside managers to the teams, I have one more proposed rule change. PROPOSED RULE 5 - The ability to play 'manager cards'* before a match, for example extra training +10% chance of winning, distraction at ringside +15% chance of winning OPTION A - Yes OPTION B - No How this would work... Each team would have a set number of cards they can play over the course of the season. The two ideas I have had so far are... Extra training/preparation +5%, +10% and +15% chance of winning Ringside coaching/distraction/interference +5%, +10% and +15% chance of winning I am toying with the idea of having one of each card for the whole season or one set for men and one for women. Each card could only be played once and would have to be played before the selection deadline. As I have mentioned in the past, once the selections are in, I look at the wrestler's perception level, wrestling ability, current form/match performance and if they are a current champion or not. I then assign a percentage chance of each league team winning the match, with a small amount (usually 1-5% for the draw). Playing one of these cards would make the relevant change for that upcoming match. I then use a random number generator to pick me a number between 1 and 100 to give me the result. I hope this is clear. Any question or clarification, please ask. If anybody has any suggestions on other cards, please say. *If anybody has a better term than manager cards, again please say. While there are two votes outstanding, the four votes that have been placed all vote to pass this rule, so it comes into place for this season.
